This is an obligatory notice that I'm working on the world, but if anyone's curious here are the themes of each elemental nation. I'm thinking of non element nations too but they will definitely be minor. Here they are.

Anemo - Meiji era Japan, age of Shinsengumi and rebels

Electro - Tesla coil steampunk, industry based anglo European nation.

Pyro - Gunpowder and pyrotechnics specialized Chinese nation

Geo - Middle Eastern themed on a sea of sand with warlords and sand pirates.

Dendro - Western Frontier, cowboys and USA theme.

Cryo - Germanic Viking themed with militaristic society.

Hydro - Roman Italian alian and canal cities like Venice. High society and luxury.

I'd also like to remind once again this is all early 20th century-ish in terms of tech and time period, so do picture them roughly in that context. I'll have more details at a later date including the core conflicts of each nation, so stay tuned.
Cool, anyway I realize it's a bit wild to just say I got nothing, so I'm gonna reveal a couple ideas already in mind, nothing is yet concrete since I have yet to fully commit. Just a few things I know more or less I'm gonna do.

  • Different weapon types, we're not constrained to the game's weapons, so means you can have dual swords, whips, guns (though they will be early 20th century), shields, and so on and so forth.
  • You could have a subweapons if you want too.
  • Nations will be based on early 20th century level, mixed in with high fantasy.
  • All nations and aesthetics will not be the same as in the game. Electro will not be Japanese inspired like Inazuma, Anemo won't be Anglo-European, and so on.

Premise

The world of Teyvat sees an age of increased prosperity as the Electro nation of Averton launches the age of industry, where man steps away from the providence of gods and spirits, and instead by their own hands, takes hold of their own futures. Yet, not every person in this new age seeks to create a future for the good of all, there are those who seek selfish ends with the new technology, only focused on the benefits that they alone will experience.

The many peoples of this diverse land experience a myriad of problems, as does every age of civilization does. Rebellions, whispers of war, conspiracy surrounding the rich and powerful, and lawless lands seeking order. Way of life in this Teyvat can be unclear, especially for those living on the fringes. Those who hold Visions considered the last envoys of the Archons.

Nations of Teyvat

Playable Races

In Regards to Half-Races

This is a case-by-case basis, however the ones that are decidedly not possible as a half are Noble Beasts, Cryptids, Beastmen, and Elves. The latter two are already technically partially human, the former two occur in very unnatural ways where they do not breed like regular races.

If you have questions, please bring them to me.

My character thus far.

I do have questions regarding the Zanpakuto and all that, so you can see that section is currently incomplete, but do check what's there. Plus the Shikai techniques. I'm not sure what the rules are about those though.

I'll have other material in soon too.

As the conversation unfolded he seemed rather unconcerned, though he was listening. As the last of the gunk was washed away, he began to hang the coat as the kid went under the water. He stepped a bit over to his side to get a better look, standing closer to Yu as he did. The sound of running water was broken as the kid emerged, running and scampering away from a large fish. More fish huh... Well no matter. The kid was looking for a sword and the fish was getting in the way. Yu asked him what they should do, the fish was no threat to them after all.

"What're you looking at me for? You're the one concerned with the kid are you not? Besides... I've run my sword through enough fish for a week already", he quipped. Despite saying that, he has his sword in his left hand, ready to draw and do the deed himself, he was just feeling a little lazy about it right now.
Bumping this up. Due to unexpected circumstances it seems this will continue to accept new players.

"Well, if there is any salt available to us, could you please start preserving them? I can help should you need it later. If that doesn't work, I think smoking is a thing people do too, and we can definitely get a fire going for that", he said, though he would have no idea how to get a fire for smoking. Someone else might have to help with that. He set down the last of the fish before he would get about to his own business.

As things settled on return to camp, he was trying to hang his coat to see if he could dry it, removing the gunk by hand wasn't difficult, though unpleasant. There wasn't much in way in the camp itself to wash it or wipe it clean either. Fortunately the inside of it was dry, meaning it wasn't soaked through at least. He was soon approached by Yu who recommended maybe taking it to a river.

"That sounds like a better idea, in that case I shall soon be back", he said. He wasted little time in taking that recommendation, taking it from it's hanging spot before heading off towards the aforementioned river.

Unconcerned with the affairs of others at this time he did steal a glance around the camp, seeing a little cat, struggling in the arms of Kokoma.

Upon return to camp, he had already set about putting down the fish and setting them in an orderly manner. They had managed to come back with a combination of some small to medium-sized fish, and two very large fish, perhaps the size of an arm or a bit more. As he began to settle he removed his coat, which was also similarly covered in the lake slime from the creature they had encountered.

"Yes, me too, although just the coat. It seems the rest of me is fine", he added on.

"Furthermore, I think we may have a bit too much fish. Do we have the means to preserve any leftovers for later?", his inquiry was sound. Assuming food here now perished like real life, then this would be a legitimate concern, and could save them energy from needing to find food later down the line.

Should he find his coat be able to be tended to he would sit down and examine his blade. Though it was not used in any extent earlier, he wondered if the changes to their landscape also affected his weapons. Durability was a function of the game, but it was really just a gauge and didn't really show visuals of any kind. But how about now he wondered.
Arcture

Thursday, June 16th 20XX

The festival was in full swing were one to make their way down the main road, and into the square. Pop up stalls and street performances littered the roads, with visitors from far and wide coming to see them. One could peruse the local specialties such as crystal apples a popular festival confectionary made from unique blue crystals similar to sugar, coating an apple, the very popular sweet cream and fruit sweetloaf sandwiches, or try something out in the provinces of the country like the rainbow pie, originating from a region with rich and sweet fruits prepared carefully to preserve their wide variety of colours. Surely, sweets were not the only food on offer here? True, there was also the boar sausage on a stick, fried herb and butter bread (or garlic bread), and of course, cheese covered sweet potatoes.

This was however a festival, meaning there would be more than just good food. There were street performers, such as singers, magicians using their talents to entertain crowds, plays re-enacting Arcture's most popular stories including that of the festival's namesake, sword dancers, and even dancers from Gran Harenae of the exotic sort. More than street performers were some other events and areas, like the petting zoo full of some wonderful and adorable local wildlife, like a small dog with what appeared to be stubby legs, a giant tail, and rabbit ears, or a somewhat unique looking sheep the size of a cat with tiny curled horns and enough wool to appear as a ball. Apparently they were popular pets. Other events included raffles and giveaways, showcases of rare items, storytelling using a magical projector, and contests for artistic skills of various kinds.

There was truly, no shortage of things to do here. Stores that were open as per normal would of course, remain open. Book stores, weapon stores, clothing stores, stores selling little trinkets, bags, and fine jewellery, and so on and so forth.

Of course, as the announcer had said before, if one wished to watch the contestants today they would have to go out the front gates, and upon doing so would be greeted by large crowds around numerous raised platforms where people were doing battle. Contestants had two chances to make it into the next stage of the tournament. They all were required to win two bouts with randomly picked opponents, but the moment they lost two they would be eliminated in the preliminaries, so they were allowed leeway to lose once, but once more and they were out. The crowds were mainly here to see the popular contenders, ones people already knew about, which consisted a lot of the students from Garadin or Alladore, and so onlookers would be concentrated to only those stages for now.
