Once the small scavenger crew had stumbled upon a Space Hulk, word had quickly spread like wild fire of its discovery, from all corners of the the Great Wastes, to the Oasis States, all now have been made aware of its presence and so the great Hulk race begins once again. Yandras was quick to respond, known for their endless greed for Pre-Calamity Technology, they mobilize their Hulk hunting forces, the A.R.E.F., to seize the gargantuan artifact with overwhelming force.
Somewhere in the Great Wastes
Yandran Land Carrier Divine Might
Two Weeks after Hulk Discovery,
General Isan Kasius, Leader of the Artifact Retrieval Expeditionary Forces, strolled along the landing strip of the Land Carrier, taking in the rather limited sights of the Great Wastes, the breeze was quite pleasant enough for him though. Flanking him was his second-in-command, Commander Malik Bradely. "Just a few more days..." Isan said with such regal arrogance of a man such as himself as they continued walking down the surface of the carrier. "And the hulk is ours.." The General had good reason to feel confident, never before has Yandras assembled such a force, the Land Carrier itself was a recent addition as of some years ago, never fully tested for combat, until now that is. As the commanding pair paused near the edge of the landing strip, they both take notice of a small group of rusted hovercraft surfing through the sands alongside the Carrier.
These craft had belonged to a particularity nasty group known as the Sand Sharks, a band of Raiders under the "employment" of the Ascendant Republic. The group primarily consisted of two xeno races, the Boar-like Yamorks, and the pale-skinned Grogar, both barbaric in their very nature. The Sand Sharks had assured their continued loyalty, provided they are giving their rather small share of the hulk loot. The Hovercraft soon sped ahead of the carrier, acting as the vanguard, kicking up a storm as sand dispersed in the air. Isan and Malik covering their mouths and keeping their eyes shut as the sand passed through. "Damn it." Malik muttered. "Just had this clean..."
"Oh don't bother with that." The General said. "They may be uncouth brutes, but they get the necessary work done. Come, I've had enough of the sights." The two proceed back towards the Command Tower, resuming their limited duties until they at last arrive to their destination.
