Silent Showers — Roleplayer Guild

Okay, now that I've baited the potential interest of what I hope is the kind of person I'm looking for, let's begin.

Obligatory copy pasted requirements (still just a polite request)

- I'd like to see at least a decent paragraph, if things just won't stretch then at least give me more to work with than "And he/she ate an apple while looking at you". I can go anywhere from a paragraph to a multi-paragraph megapost, it just depends on who I'm writing with and how I'm feeling about the story.

- Please be at least 18 years of age. I like not having the FBI raid my home and tragically lose my pet rock to the depths of their evidence locker.

- Just let me know what you do/do not want from the roleplay. There isn't much I'll shy away from but I know people have their limits.

- Don't ask me to play a Canon character from a fandom. I won't do it and I won't entertain the idea.

-Be prepared for 18+ content, sex, drugs, violence, foul language ect. Fair warning I like to smut as much as a lonely housewife reads trashy romance novels.

-PLEASE contact me via PM, it's the easiest way for me to keep track of people.

So, I may as well just dive head first into my hair brained shamefully indulgent idea. What I'm thinking of is your typical trash tier off-season isekai anime setting, yeah? Shield Hero moment, but our resident lowlife neet turned would-be hero is most certainly not a well adjusted or morally upright member of society. As such, he'll be expected to go across the land to get stronger, form a party and save the world from [insert generic BBEG here]. But, instead, he embraces the worst parts of this world's society/ies and goes all in on the world of unpaid interns.

What I have knocking around in my head is this reincarnated "Hero" has no interest in changing this world, but through his pursuit of selfish indifferent hedonism, he begins to inadvertently make changes within the social structures and systems of the nation/s he finds himself in. The kicker for all of this is he goes around to unpaid intern agencies and treats them like thrift stores, finding the mostly unwanted/undesirable interns to collect like some twisted granny going to the Goodwill to find new porcelain dolls for her display cabinets. But y'know, actual people. He does not discriminate be they inhuman, painfully human, all shapes and sizes, he's just chasing the deal; and you know, the benefits of unpaid labor.

To touch upon how this less than kosher behavior is in any way making a difference. Well, he's not really that bad of a guy, for the most part, kinda.. Even if our erstwhile drain upon society is actively treating living thinking people like Gacha game characters, he's also only ever uplifting the most downtrodden and abused sorts he finds. An avenue to approach this from a "long term" angle would be for Thrift King to build some sort of estate, a place to keep his collection and insulate himself and by extension his Gacha inventory from the worst this cruel new reality has to offer. Another approach would be him railing against those who sought to set him upon their enemies, essentially bringing their own destruction. i.e. Thrift King sets in motion sweeping changes to the status quo, or not. Maybe he doesn't want to rock the boat and that too puts him into a position that fundamentally dismantles the inhumane practices of this world. Although, the summoning nation/actors being the real "bad guys" is something of a tired trope at this point as well; can't win every contest of originality. 

So, to summarize my chaotic ramblings, this is basically a slave harem fantasy slice of life dumpster fire with everything you'd associate to something such as that. There's more than enough room for tweaking this and I'm more than open to shifting just about everything around to make this into something that we both want. Just hit me up and we'll plan things out like it's 1939 and Poland happens to be looking extra Thicc that morning.

All that said, there is the soft expectation that more than one or two characters will be played by each of us, particularly my partner as I would like them to take a number of the intern roles. I am not an unfair individual however, and will more than happily handle the "administrative" parts of building and maintaining a functioning world for us to live in. But, everything in this is a team effort after all, and I am ready to give and take responsibilities and creative burdens. You will not be the only one to advance the story; in fact, there may be times where you just have to play around the set [D&D reference incoming] encounter I thought up while soaking in the bath drinking a redbull. I'm not hard to work with I promise.

Good day fair reader, as the title says upfront, I'm kind of DYING for a roleplay with that warlock and their otherworldly patron.

As usual, the polite request and soft expectations I have for my potential partners.

-be 18+

-Be prepared for mature topics, including a little trashy romance novel action.

-A paragraph or so on average would be great, am capable of and frequently post multiple paragraphs.

-Please contact via PM and be prepared for the roleplay itself to take place there too.

And that's about that. 

The real basic idea I'm looking for is to explore the relationship between a warlock and their patron, be that adversarial, mutually indifferent, or perhaps even more involved than one would expect. The setting is certainly flexible, and so is the general plot should someone be interested in the dynamic.

I am updating this with the very specific request as the warlock, looking for their immortal power giving mommy/daddy.

If you aren't entirely sure what this dynamic will consist of, allow me to explain.

A warlock is a mortal who makes a pact with a powerful otherworldly being, be it a devilish fiend, an enigmatic and scheming Fae, or even an ancient eldrich horror that barely even registered the warlocks existence until they've done something noteworthy enough to deserve direct attention. 

The pact could be any number of things that the patron could want a mortal to do for them in exchange for their power. It's quite open to interpretation, depending on the tone of the roleplay we want. Is the patron strict, controlling, orchestrating every step of the warlocks life in the pursuit of esoteric goals? Perhaps the patron simply wants the warlock to complete simple menial tasks such as turning every cup and tankard upside down when empty? Maybe the patron is using the warlock like a reality TV show, simply wanting to be entertained. Who knows, maybe the patron is making their mortal go on the most absurd and obtuse "courting ritual" in order to find their one true love. It's seriously only limited by our imaginations!
