She woke up with a jolt as beads of sweat scrolled down her forehead. She hasn't been able to sleep since they have escaped from the university and governed people that changed them. With a breath, she removed the blanket from her body then threw her legs over the bed so her feet touched the ground. She stood upright now and walked over towards the semi-shattered window to see that a light drizzle of rain had formed outside. Jess sighed as she had second thoughts the moment they escaped. She also wondered if the governed people were even looking for them but of course, they were, why wouldn't they.

With that thought in her mind and other things swirling around in her mind, Jess went around the abandoned home to check on the other five changed people, two had rooms while others slept on the couches. She was sort of the leader, or self-proclaimed leader and hasn't heard any complaints since she took the position for herself. At least, she did not think people were complaining. After she checked on the other five, Jess went and grabbed her journal then went back over to her bed. She opened the book up and started jotting down some things.

More importantly, she jotted down how she felt about every single person around her. If they were going to be working together, she needed to know a few things about them and who could she really work with.

First on her list was Anges, a girl that she found very unique and could really work with. She liked Anges but haven't really had the chance to chat with her, or anyone for that matter quite yet. She automatically knew that she could work with Khall because he was naturally quiet but blunt whenever he needed to be. Ellie was one of the ones that she was unsure about but wondered how well they will work together.

Jess had stopped writing for a moment after hearing a bump. She gasped and closed her journal then started to breathe a little heavy because she was a little scared. Nothing happened after a few minutes of silence so she went back to writing about the last two people. Michael was a little difficult for her to figure out because he was awkward to her but Eli was really friendly and she could definitely work with him.

She closed her journal again then knew that they needed to hone their abilities if they were going to go up against the government. There is really no telling what the government had planned for whenever they found them, or something. Jess decided that today was going to be a sort of training day for them so they can better control their newfound and amplified abilities.

Here goes nothing She thought to herself as she banged on the other two doors then walked down the stairs to wake up the other three teenagers. Jess waited before speaking as they stirred and she stood upright, ready to tell them what she was thinking about today.

_{Jess' appearance goes back and forth from girly girl to tomboyish, to be honest. She wears dresses, skirts, and blouses one day while the next day she'll be in a t-shirt, jeans, and a leather jacket. Often of times though, she'll be dressed a little more tomboyish that girly girl. Jess stands about five foot six with a weight of one-hundred and twenty pounds. She may not be the strongest female but she'll certainly go toe to toe with you. Her frame is rather slender and fragile as she is a petite little thing. Her curly locks of hair are rather unkempt, which she doesn't mind. However, her hair is whenever she wakes up, that's how it's going to be all day. Her hair takes upon a raven black color and again, her hair is naturally curly. Jess' eyes take on a chestnut brown tone and her skin has a caramel complexion to it.}

_{Before the changed, she was a butterfly that was rather innocent in terms of not even harming a fly or anyone else. She even brought smiles to many people faces whenever she encountered them. She still holds that fun-loving and charisma nature sometimes but now though? It seems like all that has changed. Jess has a certain amount of hatred in her tiny little body but not for people, for the government that changed her and five others. She's taken it upon herself to become a slight leader for the group but with that comes a certain level of responsibility, which she can handle. She also has a rather sharp tongue towards others, too and is quite quick-witted along with sarcastic. She might even mock you. She does not need time to come up with a comeback because right then and there wherever you stand is where you'll hear it. Jess is not one to hold anything back from anyone anymore.}

_{Atmokinesis ^__ After the change, Jess discovered that she had the ability the manipulate the weather. She thought that it was a bit strange at first but just went with it anyway. Jess can sense, shape, and create meteorological weather patterns as far as creating rain, hail, wind, lightning, snow, sleet, fog and even temperature changes. Now that her abilities are amplified a little, she can now control the intensity of the weather, too.}

_{Her ability requires an atmosphere as a medium, which practically means that she needs air and space in order for her ability to function. Depending on her mood, Jess might not be able to manipulate the weather that she, herself, has manifested at the time ^__ Especially if she's not concentrating. She fears that her emotions might become a little unstable because another limitation to her ability is that it might be emotion based. There is literally no telling what she can or may do if that does happen.}

ʙ ᴀ ᴄ ᴋ ɢ ʀ ᴏ ᴜ ɴ ᴅ

<sub>Jess' life was changed at a very young age. While her parents raised her until the time she was five, she had lived a life like any regular child would at the time. Her parents were unfortunately killed in a head-on collision on a major highway. Jess cried for days before and after the funeral. A social worker tried to put her in the foster care system but her aunt wanted custody of her, which was granted by the court.

Her aunt practically raised her the way she was raised as a child. She was taught how to be a proper lady, how to be mannerable and respectful along with responsible. Jess liked living with her aunt though because she learned many, many things from her. Her aunt was unfortunately widowed as her husband passed away due to an unknown illness so when it came to coping with grief, her aunt helped her through it. She was really relieved to have someone that could relate to what she was feeling in her corner.

Let's skip a few years now where Jess' life was changed again, literally. Just a couple of days ago she had her sixteenth birthday and had a blast with all of her friends. Her aunt saved up enough cash to get her a pink ladybug vehicle that she drove nearly everywhere she went. It was a nice vehicle and she enjoyed it very much so. But when a few more days passed and she was called into the office for some program, Jess honestly did not know how to feel. She was scared, of course, because of the suddenness of everything happening around her. Herself and five more people were apart of this so-called program and she wondered what it was for.

Jess asked her aunt what was going on as she did not even know what to tell her. It was then some black men came in suits and handed them some bags, along with ushering them out of the office and into the back of a van. Suddenly, they were at an unknown university and shoved into a room with the five other people as a gas like substance filled the room and pain came over her. She trembled at the pain and even collapsed on the floor, waking up to hear that she had given an ability and they must fight to the death.

But luckily for her and the others, they weren't really kept on watch so they devised a plan to escape and was successful. Jess felt slightly different as they entered back into the world now. She looked at the others surrounding her and seen that they felt different, as well.

They've escaped from the government so it is no doubt that they cannot go back to their homes. Jess did not know how to feel again as she wondered what they were going to do now. The only thing she really knows is, she is going to kill the people that changed her with or without the other five people help.</sub>
