Character you have created:
Jeremy Dayn

Alias:
Riot

Speech Color:
Tomato

Character Alignment:
Villain

Identity:
Jeremy’s real name is known to the police, so he’ll often use a fake name

Character Personality :
Even when using a fake persona, Jeremy’s personality rarely wavers. He’s gruff, imposing, intimidation, and a man of few words. Alcohol will loosen his tongue enough to enable him to make small talk, or complain about work to other bar patrons. His childhood often saw him drive other classmates away by reputation if not his own actions.

Due to his time in prison, which was partly caused by forming a gang, which got too much attention from heroes, he has not become more social with age. He works as a villain alone, unless said partner/employer is stronger than he is. That said, his ego will never permit him to outright become a henchman to a more powerful villain. He works for himself. He steals money for himself, and he’s the one who spends it. Nobody tells him what to do, unless they’ve come up with a plan and he deems them trustworthy.

Uniform/costume:
Jeremy has a round face, green eyes and a fairly small nose. He is bald, but has been known to don wigs of various colors and sizes when using fake names and IDs. As Riot, he wears no wigs, but dons either shades or goggles to hide his eyes, and wears a customised tactical vest to protect his chest, which he always hides in public under a jacket, coat, sweater or hoodie. His pants and shoes always vary, though he very rarely wears something other than sturdy boots.

Origin Info/Details:
Jeremy, from as young an age as he could remember, loved superheroes. He wanted to be a superhero. He took as many sports, athletics and martial arts classes as time allowed in his childhood because he wanted to be strong and fit just like a hero.

When he was thirteen, his mutation kicked in, and everything changed for him. He discovered that he was a mutant. A super-strong mutant. Yet…when he thought about being a hero with this power, the idea felt off. Helping people with their problems, and beating up bad guys was a nice fantasy when you’re powerless, but now he had the power to do that, it seemed like a silly, juvenile dream. It felt like joining the boy scouts.

While he was still in high school, Jeremy already started using his mutation for wrongdoings; taking things for himself and putting his enemies in the hospital. He missed a full year of high school due to being detained at a young offender’s institute. Thus, when he graduated, he couldn’t get a very good honest job. But so what? He didn’t need an honest job. He had the power to take what he wanted.

Calling himself ‘Riot’, and amassing a small gang of henchmen, he started a brief crime spree that largely consisted of breaking and entering jeweller’s shops, stealing money from drug dealers, and intercepting deals related to organised crime and taking everything. Less than three months later, he was beaten by a Hero and his whole gang went to prison. He served five years, having reduced his sentence by happily ratting out every organised criminal he’d learned the identity of.

When Jeremy was released, he lay low for a few months, and got a job for a haulage company. He hated every second of it, but he felt he had to wait until the law stopped watching him carefully.

This mundane chapter of his life ended when an associate of one of the men he snitched on made an attempt on his life. This was the opportunity Jeremy had been looking for. He took the attack and faked his death, living on the road afterwards until he was in a new State. He stole some money and used it to procure a brand new identity from the black market.

Having learned from some of the mistakes he made the first time, he once again started to steal things. The police didn’t take long to see the similarities in method. Riot was back, and this time he was smarter. To this day he’s never been caught since, and the only heroes to bother with him are small time ‘Boy Scouts’, of whom Riot has now killed several.

Villain Type:
Brick/Muscle

Power Level:
Street level

Powers:
-Incredible super strength
- Superhuman agility
-Superhuman durability
-Enhanced speed

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Height: 6”1
Weight: 233 kg
Strength Level: 60 tons
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3 hours
Agility: 5x human level
Intelligence: Average
Fighting Skill: Trained
Resources: Minimal

Weaknesses:
Jeremy’s control over his strength is not perfect. When he’s stressed, tense, panicked or in an adrenaline-fuelling situation, his grip will tighten, and any force he’s applying to anything will be increased a lot. Due to this, he does not dare drive, as he would be one case of road rage away from losing his steering wheel, gearstick and/or pedals. He also cannot use guns for this reason.

As a street-level villain, he’s also massively outclassed by City-level heroes and beyond. His durability may serve him well in a hand-to-hand fight, or to let a few stray chunks of concrete bounce off his back, but large projectiles (e.g. cars), stabbing weapons, firearms, and powers such as fire and lightning will kill him just like they’d kill anyone else.

Supporting Characters:
None (yet)

Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?:

This café’s service was terrible. Jeremy had been waiting thirty minutes for a coffee and a club sandwich. It should not take this long to make a coffee and a club sandwich. He should know. He could make both, and he knew that as long as you had the ingredients, you could make them both in ten minutes easily. It wasn’t even that busy. He wasn’t the only one there, but it wasn’t mobbed. There were several empty tables. If he wasn’t hungry and in severe need of caffeine, he’d have left already.

Finally, his order came. He waved off the waitress’ apology.

”Don’t worry about it!” He reassured the poor, timid looking waitress, who no doubt wasn’t looking forward to delivering a late order to a large, imposing, serious-looking man.

Though the rest of Jeremy’s day carried on as normal, he couldn’t forget this. Though he was occupying himself in his apartment with movies, books and television, his mind was on the café for the rest of the day until the evening. The café closed at six pm, and the last of the staff should be out by eight, so at eight-thirty, Jeremy peeled off his wig, took off his jacket, donned a pair of goggles, and headed out, carrying the jacket and wig with him in a gym bag.

Riot reached the alleyway behind the café at nine pm on the dot, and set the gym bag down. While he ate his sandwich and coffee, he noticed that the café had CCTV. It wasn’t a stretch to say, therefore, that they had alarms too, though those were usually just on the doors and windows. Not many burglars think of using the rear wall. Punching holes in the wall, Riot grabbed the bricks and then pulled, until the wall started to crack. Just a…bit…more…give, and…Riot succeeded in pulling a large section of brickwork out of the wall, which he set down, then climbed into the hole he created.

He could see well enough from the lights of the street outside, so didn’t risk a torch and went straight for the cash register, ripping it open and taking the money inside. ’Consider that an apology,’ he thought to himself as he climbed back out the hole, took off the goggled, and retrieved the coat and wig from the bag, putting them on, and heading back out on to the street. They’d know that this crime was committed by Riot, but Jeremy had gotten away with it. He might need to stop using this wig around this part of town, however.

I already am. My Discord name's Dark Cyan
This is my third attempt to make the jump from casual to advanced. Maybe this one, I'll finally get to the stage where I finish a CS and get it accepted.

Third time lucky. I'll start a CS now.
@Burning Kitty

At least this has a good, character-driven reason, unlike when everyone had to go and get Rose and bring her back to carry on the rp

Mina sat and listened to everything Dulga had to say. She wasn't even sure she disagreed with it. She did go alone, and she could have waited for help, or gone to get help at any point. But this was where Dulga and Mina were fundamentally different. Dulga went hunting with family, and learned the value and important of teamwork at an early age. Mina's mom spent most of her career fighting the bag guys alone, and Mina herself was so desparate to escape her mother's legacy, she even outright refused when her mom offered to take her out to fight crime as a sidekick. The prospect of being a sidekick to her famous mother mortified Mina at the time. She didn't want to be 'The Heroine Mina; Daughter of Seductress'. In fact, she didn't want anyone to ever think of her and Seductress in the same sentence once she was a Hero, unless it was to remark that they were surprised to find out Seductress was the mother of a Heroine twice more famous and well known than Seductress ever was.

Mina wasn't even comfortable with the idea of even taking on a sidekick herself when she was older, because one day they might overshadow her too, and it will be her fault. Besides, they'd be slowing her down. Waiting for Lysander today would have also slowed her down. If she was to overtake her mother and train to become a better Hero in just three years, Mina could not afford to be slowed down.

"My mother, Seductress, never needed help to defeat a criminal," Mina started to tell Dulga, a newfound fury in her eyes, though it didn't seem to be directed at Dulga, "and I plan to break out of her shadow, and climb higher than she ever did. If I ever needed to rely on the help of other heroes to beat an enemy, when my mom didn't, that would be the day I quit being a Hero. I don't want to be almost as good as my mom. I don't even want to be as good."

Mina was now standing, looking down on the sitting Dulga. Maybe it was a little directed at her.

I'm going to be better, or die trying." Mina ended her speech abruptly, and marched off towards her dorms.

Mina was understanding of the choice not to fight today. Mina was actually still drained from her battles with Donny and Roy. Plus, she had to read the handbook too. Instead, she was asked to give her account of events. She sat down at the window ledge. She gave a nod to Roy upon hearing his parting challenge. There was fire in her eyes too as she smirked back. She'd won that round, and he'd improve his skills between now and the next time they fought. But Mina now knew the nature of his quirk. She didn't have to be cautious next time. She could give him everything she had, and if he wants his word to hold true, he'd have a lot of training to do.

"Alright, Dulga," she started, "I'll begin at Point B. So, myself and Lysander were stationed there, and after a while, I began to suspect that our foes were either above us, below us, or invisible, so I lit the place up, looking for shadows. That's when Donny sent his warning that you heard about in the briefing. So, I cut a hole in the floor. crawled into the pipes and went to find and stop him. I...won't talk about that fight as much for several reasons. Suffice to say that Donny has secrets, and there are things that happened in that fight that I don't want known either. Though I was distracting him from doing more damage to the building's supports, he'd done enough, and the fight above us was enough to bring the building down on us. We escaped together, formed a truce, and headed off. Instead of heading back to B in case that's where Donny went, I headed to A, to find it deserted and battle damaged, so I took it.

A few minutes later, Roy showed up with the same idea, and we squared off. You've seen the fight so I won't go into detail about what I actually did. Besides, I can't quite remember everything. I was running on Adrenaline. I do I know that my thought were always on trying to find out his quirk, making assumption, attacking him based off those assumptions, and if they were proved true, adding them to things I knew about him. In the end, though, I beat him by blinding him, and martial arts, which is the same tactic I started the fight with, so it all felt a bit futile, really. Still, when we fight again, I'll be more prepared."

Mina then looked up as Jett approached and gave her some actually nice encouragement, which took her off guard. She didn't get real encouragement from people besides her mom very often. She actually had to take a few seconds to get the words to form in her head before she responded. "I know that's the case, and he wanted to try and give everybody some constructive criticism, but I've been called that too many times to think he was just pulling words out of nowhere. He has a problem with my attitude. Maybe he doesn't think it's hero-like. I don't know. I can't help it. I won't pretend I'm not as talented as I know I am. I can't lower myself to have whatever the 'right' amount of confidence is without lying to myself."

Once they were given authorization to let loose, Heidi uncharacteristically started storming straight forward, ditching her 'scared French girl' persona and actually looking angry. A guard approached her with a baton and swung it, though Heidi grabbed the man's arm, turned on her exoskeleton and punched him in the chest, knocking him back with such force that he had made a crater in the concrete wall he'd smashed against. Three guards all tried to apprehend her at once, and she avoided the swings of all three with total ease as she systematically started delivering blows to their heads and necks, aiming to knock out instead of kill.

They reached the office and confronted the president of this company, and the adults needed no help from the students to pacify him. In fact, so far, they could have done this whole thing themselves, which was worrying Heidi. Something very bad must be on the horizon.

Hearing the president speak a very similar philosophy to her own unnerved and angered the Scottish teen in equal measure and she leaned over his desk at him. "How is this helping anyone? You're locking mutants away, and running tests of them? Why do you even want to figure out the X-gene if it's so dangerous. You just want power and control to yourself. You don't care about society. You don't care about helping create a world where everybody's happy and safe. Because those young mutants back there? They'ere not happy. Or safe."

Heidi, in the back of her mind, was beginning to wonder if her inclusion on this mission wasn't because it would fail without her, but simply to put her face to face with this man. Maybe they need to change the opinions of her future self. Heidi did not imagine her plans for the future would go down well with the majority of mutantkind, but seeing this man didn't change them. It only made them stronger.

Mina listened to Dulga explain her quirk. She assumed it was the six arms, but wouldn't have guessed they had super strength, or that Dulga wasn't exactly untrained. Mina herself did not know how to use a gun, or how to hunt. Not even fox-hunting on horseback, which was a practice that she violently opposed despite her bourgeoisie upbringing.

Bit what did get Mina's attention was Dulga's offer to fight. Straight and to the point, and Mina knew that there was no ill will in that request. In fact, Mina shared the sentiment. Now she knew what Dulga's quirk was, she didn't need to hold herself back, and because it was just friendly sparring instead of a battle to win, she didn't even need to use her quirk.

"I would too," she responded. "Want to head to the training room now, later tonight, or do it tomorrow?"

The support student, who she now knew as Roy passed them, and held out his hand, which Mina shook. He spoke a rhetorical question; ""Lack of thinking outside the box?" Which Mina responded with "Overconfident?" in the same manner, a small grin appearing on her face as she did so, and watched him pass.

Mina was indeed looking back at Donny when the report covered him, and gave him a slight emotionless nod. There may have been a subtle twitch of a smile there, but it was hard to be certain. What was certain is that her manner wasn't mocking, which must mean it was meant to be supportive, though Mina wasn't very good at that.

Unfortunately, her mood was still soured once class had ended and she'd been given the book. She'd read this tonight, sure. That's when she felt somebody approach her. She turned to see that it was Dulga, who asked her how she fought, and then walked away. Um. Okay. Mina got up, and followed her, unsure whether to answer the question now, reprimand her for just walking away, or just to wait until she stopped. She picked the third option, and when Dulga did finally stop, Mina answered.

"That wasn't me fighting well. I didn't want to rush into a fight without knowing what Roy's quirk was. That was me testing and feeling for information. You haven't seen me fighting well," Mina stated simply, while smoothing a stray strand of hair back into place.

As for how I fight; I've been trained in MMA and self-defence since I was three years old. I could beat my teacher by the time I was twelve. What about you? You don't get in through recommendations for nothing. Can you fight?"

As they went through the complex, Heidi kept up babbling in terrified French and occasionally trying to make a futile run for it, only to be caught and thrown back with the group. Despite these theatrics, nothing escaped her attention From the monitors displaying information about the X-gene, to the reaction they got from the lab staff.

The more disturbing part to Heidi was when they entered the maximum security area. This time, she didn't have to act terrified and sickened. She saw children being experimented on, and even the ones that weren't didn't look happy to be here. What she was seeing was particularly horrible to Heidi, who's secret Pro-Registration standpoint was incredibly offended by the idea of taking ordinary kids, turning them into mutants, and for what? Weapons? Mutants weren't weapons. They were real people! These kids probably wouldn't even get trained how to use their mutation safely in here, but that's what we could do, if we helped them get out. On the way back, of course. There was a mission to finish first.

Heidi started waiting. Tataina started attacking some guards but was quickly incapacitated. They were trained for this. It wasn't unusual. It only made their backstory more believable. If they'd all behaved like school kids on a field trip tour, that would have been very suspicious. The truth is that children, when they think something bad's going to happen, often fight back. Heidi didn't yet, though. The character she'd decided to play was a coward, hence the attempts to escape. This young French girl, probably from a well-off family, certainly wouldn't try and fight.
