Hitomi stopped to watch the fight unfold as Nomoe turned her feral attention to Acion. Hitomi had no doubt Acion could handle himself, but he hadn't noticed the sleeping Tomoe's reaction to Acion's last attack. Hurting Nomoe must obviously hurt Tomoe. Hitomi had to make him aware of this. And not a minute too soon, as Acion was attempting an arial move that looked very effective. So effective, in fact, that Hitomi didn't even want to think about the effect it would have on her roomate.

"Acion, stop! Don't hurt her! If she gets hurt, The injured Tomoe gets hurt! Try and restrain her harmlessly!"

With her important knowledge passed on, Hitomi carried on running to the nurse's office, making it there without further incident, and placing Tomoe in one of the beds. Kiwi came over and began to treat her head injury. As she was doing so, Hitomi had an idea. What if Nomoe's tempter was influenced by Tomoe herself? After all, Tomoe was sleeping peacefully last time, and Nomoe was sullen and confrontational, but still docile. Now that Tomoe was in pain, she was wild, aggressive and feral. Perhaps is the real Tomoe were calmed down, her Dream Self would reflect that. Hitomi crouched at the side of the bed, and guided Tomoe's hand to her head of fluffy hair. Petting soft things was the best thing she could think of to calm her down at present.

Physical Characteristics

Charity might have been called beautiful in a world with makeup, regular washes and hair care, and there are still elements of that beauty in her face. She will always wear lightweight running shoes and jeans on her lower half, and owns one white t-shirt. She also owns a winter jacket, which she stored in her backpack when the weather is warm.

Life Before the Apocalypse

"Isn't it funny how when you have everything to lose, you don't even realise it? I...I left highschool with a very sweet boyfriend, a loving sister, and a doting family. I had a job I loved. Looking back, I can't imagine how I could have possibly wanted for anything. Never in a million years could I have imagined that the end of the world was upon us. I would say we did not deserve it, but maybe we did. Maybe we did. I was at the school when things started to get bad, and we barricaded ourselves inside, but it was hopeless. The zombies got in eventually, and they...they were tearing children apart....I...Sorry. Okay, I got out. I made it to safety, but by the time I returned home, I discovered that my sister had been infected and she...she was eating mom and dad. I had to...with a kitchen knife...Sorry. I can't. Can't talk about it any more...I'm gonna...can I go? Thank you."

Strengths & Weaknesses

➕ Chipp remains hopeful and optimistic that there will be light at the end of their dark road, and does her best to keep everybody's spirits high, especially her own.
➕ She is resourceful and crafty when it comes to dealing with other people. Unlike zombies, they can be diplomatically reasoned with, and if that fails, tricked.
➖ The scars of Chipp's past run deep, and she is a very mentally disturbed individual who does not react well to panic or extreme violence
➖ Chipp is physically average and has little in the way of helpful survival skills or knowledge

Personal Goals

Chipp has no short-term goals besides surviving and keeping everybody together and hopeful. Her long-term goals are find hope, whether that be a cure, a safe area, a good place for a base, or a friendly settler camp. There must be a plan for the remainder of humanity. They must have a future and there can be no true rest until they find it. Ideally, there would be kids there, that Chipp could protect and teach and give her love and care to.

Inventory

Chipp wears a small backpack which contains nothing but an old, dog-eared bible, and sometimes her jacket. Strapped to it is a garden rake, which has a long reach and is useful for keeping zombies at bay. slipped into her belt is a kitchen knife, and in her right hand pocket is a little panda keychain that she takes out and talks to a lot. Sometimes, it's as if she's conversing with it.

Physical Characteristics

Gail is a mask of haggard exhaustion, even fresh from sleep. her thin, uncombed hair is slowly reverting from dyed blonde to her natural hair color of dark brown. She wears hard-wearing brown boots, loose grey slacks and a badly word denim jacket over a black vest top. She wears glasses but doesn't need them to see, only to read, so will take them off if there's a risk they might get broken.

Life Before the Apocalypse

"I was a practising attorney, of the well-respected firm 'Morgan, Bennet & Clarke'. When the zombie apocolypse began, I think I only survived because we were in a skyscraper. I'm nothing particularly special, and if I was down there, I know I'd be dead. We were evacuated by security and our large group of rich, important people meant we found other survival groups very quickly, but large groups of hundreds of people are hard to travel in, and that spelled disaster. Since the death of most of my coworkers, and the dispersion of the rest, I've drifted from survival group to survival group. Some abandoned me as a liability. Others may have been better to, as they met their end. I've very lucky thus far, and I just hope it doesn't run out."

Strengths & Weaknesses

➕ Gail is a very sharp woman, and a fast learner when it comes to new picking up relevant survival skills.
➕ Something Gail discovered about herself disturbingly quickly was how easy she found it to take another humans life if it came down to her or them, and how easy it was for her to live with this.
➖ Abigail would have been an unremarkable, average, ordinary person to have around twenty years ago. In her early 40's, she's even more of a liability.
➖ There is a shrewdness and aggressive sarcasm to Gail's manner, coupled with a dark sense of humor, that may put her fellow survivors on edge.

Personal Goals

Survival. At all costs. No means to and end. No goal to look forward to. Her short term goal is to survive until tomorrow. Her long term goal is to survive until next week.

Also, if they ever find some coffee, cigarettes or alcohol, that'd be great.

In Gail's jacket pockets are a small personal handgun, with ten shots and no spare ammo, and a can of mace. Inside of her jacket is a folding climbing axe looted from a mountaineering store.

Maeda Hitomi

As Hitomi started running towards the nurse's office with the innate speed of prey who know they're being hunted, the immediate danger was wearing off, and she had a little time to reflect on what she'd just done. Kissing Acion's cheek...Hitomi had never kissed anybody before that she wasn't related to. She imagined her first kiss would be a little less...automatic. At the very least, she imagined there would be a mutual understanding of the kiss, followed by a deliberate kiss. But back then, she hadn't even thought about it. It was like her body acted on its own while her brain was in panic mode. What did this mean? She'd have to think about thi more. Or discuss it with Acion later...

It was at that moment when her Sheep Sense went crazy. Nomoe was chasing after her with clawed hands, and on all fours. Both of these actions made her seem much more predatory, and thus, Hitomi could sense her much more accurately. This had the downside of terrifying Hitomi's instincts, but her brain was holding the tide. Nomoe may not like Hitomi, but she is very protective of Tomoe, and whilst she was in Hitomi's arms, and hurt, hopefully wouldn't do anything too crazy....right?

Without even needing to turn round or look behind her, Hitomi sensed exactly when Nomoe was about to strike at her legs, and leapt up into the air, clearing the dangerous space, while Acion caught up and retaliated using his wings. "We're just trying to help Tomoe!" Hitomi shouted out as she carried on running. "She hurt her head, and we're taking her to the nurse's office. We are not your enemies!"
