The molarity of pure water is 55.5 mol/L. Is it just me, or is that number super satisfying?

I find I'm much more productive when I make a list of check marks, then write whatever I end up doing next to them.

I always either have lots of inspiration but no motivation, or tons of motivation and no inspiration. I'm not sure which sucks more.

E'nasha Williams ~ Unknown cave, YarosmereE’nasha answered Summer's question the same way she had when everyone else had asked so far. ”Yes, I'm alright. Thanks for asking.” She wasn't sure she was going to be okay if she ever had to go through that portal again, but for now the urge to throw up had subsided, so she focused on keeping it that way.
She remained skeptical that the sand cobras were truly the only ones unhappy with this situation, even as Sahra told her so. These people had the ability to fight, whereas in her opinion most others didn't. They were in hiding, keeping any complaint they held bottled within for fear of being killed if they were found out. There had to be a way to find these secret rebels, to maybe draft them into Sahara and Mak's group. E'nasha kept these thoughts to herself now though, and simply listened to the rest of the conversation before they were allowed to go off and do their own things.
She decided to go sleep, since it seemed there was nothing else to do at the moment. She woke up a few hours later, just in time for Sahra and Mak to begin explaining their plan. She listened in silence, taking one of the strange black stones from the table once they were done. ”I don't have any questions, but.. No way am I going through that portal again. Please. Just, no.” She knew her complaint would probably be ignored, but she really did not want to experience that again.
Granted. There is a perfectly good bar of chocolate in the microwave, however it has already been melted into a puddle of still-delicious brown goop. You can still eat it if you want, but I have no idea what else was on your microwave's spinning plate before the chocolate was there, so there may be a few strange things mixed into your chocolate. I wouldn't recommend it.
I wish for $1,000,000 that are legally and rightfully mine and that were not gained through anyone's death.
As the sun rose over the horizon, Alexis yawned. She'd been travelling through the night, having misjudged the distance and time it would take her to get from the last town she'd visited to her current destination, Sunfire. Luckily, the sunlight would probably give her enough energy as she continued on to keep her awake, at least until she reached the town. Then she was going to rent a room at the inn and collapse for a few hours. She smiled to herself at the thought. Next time, she would listen when someone told her she wouldn't be able to make it to a place before dark.
Hours later, the town finally came into sight, along with something she'd never seen before. A dragon flew overhead, and she saw it land near the giant tree before she lost sight of it. Her pace slowed as she scanned the scene for where it had gone, dragons don't just disappear after all, but after a minute of this she shrugged and gave up. She heard no sounds of terror or alarm rising from the town, so it must not be attacking or mean any harm. Good. That meant she could continue on with her plan to go find a place to sleep.
As she entered the town, Alexis' eyes wandered, searching the crowd for anyone she might know. She'd been here before, quite a few times in her travels, yet as she progressed from the residential level to the second floor, where all the shops and the inn resided, she saw nobody. It seemed the town was in a festive mood, but tearing her eyes away from the colorful and dancing crowd Alexis saw people with considerably less joy or liveliness on their faces. She supposed it must be because of the group she'd been hearing rumors about lately, the terrifying and sinful army that recently sprung up, attacking each kingdom with such ferocity. The thought that the dread of such a group had made its way into a town such as Sunfire, a town protected by a guardian of king Vrondi himself, sent a pang of sadness through her. This place was safe, by all means, and yet the people fear what lies beyond the barrier that shelters them.
Alexis made her way to where she remembered the inn to be. It was a comfortable and welcoming place called, quite accurately in her opinion, Rest Easy. She entered silently, most if not all the patrons within too drunk and merry or busy with their own tasks to notice the Sol girl. She approached the bar, where a scantily-clad seraphim woman attended to the patrons. Alexis waited until she was done with the most recent request before voicing her own, careful to keep her eyes on the woman's face as, admittedly, her body was quite distracting.
"Good morning. Do you have any rooms available at the moment? I'm afraid I've been travelling all night and am quite tired." Her voice was light, but purposeful. She was too tired to care much for how she was perceived, yet she still seemed as energetic as ever with her words. She produced a handful of coins from a purse tied to her belt before continuing. "If there are none however, and even if there are, a drink would do me good as well. A pint of something not too strong, please." She placed the coins on the counter, but didn't sit. If there was a room open she would down the drink and go sleep. If there wasn't, she would go back outside the town and find a nice patch of sunlight to relax in. A bed was preferred of course, but napping in the sunlight was enjoyable as well.
"F.E.A.R. has two meanings- forget everything and run or face everything and rise. The choice is yours."
Name: Alexis Emaura
Age: 29
Blood%: 20% Seraphim, 80% Sol
Gender: Female
Sex Preference: Bi
Height: 5'2"
Weight: That's a secret. (She's lighter than she looks.)
Physical appearance: See picture above.
Personality: Alexis is a kind-hearted person, and it's obvious that she cares about almost everyone she meets on some level. There are very few people that she considers friends however, and even fewer that she truly trusts. She's open and easy to read, she doesn't try to hide her thoughts or emotions at all, but she can and will lie if she thinks it will spare someone else any amount of pain. She is slow to anger, and even slower to forgive, for if she truly loses patience with someone, she believes that no matter what they do next they aren't worthy of her kindness anymore. She is energetic, always doing something with movement or words. She enjoys the company of others, and relishes debate and conversation.
Faction: Taxis (hopeful)
Pet: None
Exp: She's been training since she was 20 in the hopes of joining the Taxis guild. Many hours spent on practice have made the two spells she knows more than enough than she needs in terms of her magic abilities, and twice as much time spent using and practicing with her bow have made her an incredibly accurate shot. She has been able to use all of her blood-given abilities since she was born, but it took time to get certain ones, such as mind reading and telekinesis as well as her ability to manipulate plants, under control.
Spells: Pause - Stops time in the space between one heartbeat and the next. This only affects a 15 meter radius around her, and the bubble of paused space moves as she does with her at the center at all times. She herself is also 'paused' while this spell is in effect; her heart doesn't beat and she has no need to breathe, and she cannot bleed while pause is in effect, but if she is wounded while in pause the wound will begin to affect her as soon as the spell is dropped. Gravity still works and inanimate moving objects from outside the bubble are unaffected if they are entering it, however all things that were in the bubble to start with are frozen until she moves away from them or drops the spell. The spell lasts until it is dropped or until Alexis runs out of energy. Light's Blessing - Uses any nearby or ambient light (within a radius of 30 meters of her) to energize a person, causing any wounds to heal either immediately for more minor wounds, or up to 500% faster for major wounds, for so long as the spell is in effect. The spell lasts until Alexis runs out of focused light energy. She cannot cure poisons, or do anything to revive the dead, as energizing someone only accelerates their bodies' natural healing process.
Abilities/Powers:
Bright Light Resistance
Soul Detection
Psychic Detection
Mental Communication
Mind Reading
Astral Projection
Telekinesis
Force Field
Plant Manipulation
Plant Energy Absorption
*Natural Glow (Not very bright, but noticeable in dim light. In total darkness she can clearly light about a half foot radius around her.)
*Light as a Feather (Gravity doesn't weigh on her as heavily. She's not very physically strong or dense, she floats in water even when weighted down by her clothes and armor, though with them on she seems more like a normal person. She can't do anything like jump higher than other people- that would require more strength than she has.)
*Speedy (due to being as light as she is, she can move rather quickly, and naturally does everything just a little faster than everyone else.)
Needs to absorb sunlight for at least two hours a day in order to have a normal amount of energy
Physically weaker than most other blood types (She does not have claws or wings or protective scales. She is soft and fragile and she also doesn't have much physical strength- but her endurance is very high. She is also more susceptible to poison/illness than other Bloods are.)
Weapons: The bow pictured in her outfit above, and a dagger she keeps hidden on her person at all times.
History: Alexis was the eldest child in her family, who lived on the edge of the forests outside the capitol of the Vrondi territory. She would go into the city almost every day to study and learn what she could about healing, ascension, and magic. She's learned a few spells, but can only use two of them to any real ability right now. She's been diligent in her practice and training since she was 20 years old, when she decided that she wanted to use her life to help as many others as she could. She had a few friends who shared her thirst for knowledge and her desire to do good in the world, and about 3 years ago they all decided to travel the land together in order to better train their abilities. As of a little less than a year ago now, she is the only survivor of that group. The others, all her friends, have died in one way or another, leaving her alone. Still, she focuses on her goals while holding them in her memories.
Despite the horrors she has seen in the world and the tragedies she's faced, Alexis continues on. She's still young, especially when compared to any other Descended she knows. She takes the world in stride and hopes to one day ascend herself.
Trivia: Likes: Talking to people, expressive colors (her favorite is red), long walks in the sunlight, and trying new things. Dislikes: Complete darkness, humid air, people who openly show that they have no care for others at all, and underground places. Fears: Small enclosed spaces, ghosts (real or fake), and uncontrolled flames. Deepest Desire: To stay up all night, just watching the night sky until dawn. One peaceful night.
Made for her by a friend who died shortly after. It's nothing special, except for the sentimental value it has to her. She doesn't like to speak about it or the person who gave it to her. She only uses it in emergencies, as she prefers to use her bow when possible.
Carved on the blade, by her: "In memory, Aster"

"Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this point. I always knew I was the smarter twin."
(She looks a lot like Alexis, except that her eyes are green, taking after their mother rather than their father. She likes to keep her hair short.)
Name: Lexi Emaura
Age: 26
Relationship: She is Alexis’ eldest younger sister, the second of Giovanna's (their mother's) children, and the elder of her twin brother Leith by about half an hour.
Status: Alive and well
Blood%: 80% Sol, 20% Seraphim
Gender: Female
Sex Preference: Straight
Personality: She's soft-spoken (when she's not at work) and actually a little shy around strangers (again, unless she's working) -but around her family or friends she's loudmouthed and rude, and she could probably give a sailor a run for his money in a cussing contest. You can usually catch her staring off into space or humming songs and random melodies throughout the day if she's not really doing anything else, otherwise she's always focused 100% on whatever task is at hand.
