@Zeroth Sorta kinda yeah since I'm just a huge Dracula fan all over, plus that movie was dope as hell. I did base Matthias a little bit off Strahd though, and Gransylva is basically Ravenloft and Transylvania thrown together.

Well, you won't have to worry about stats or dice rolls since I'm not going by DnD conventions. I will however be dictating important events that will come to play later on, and naturally I will be playing as the Vampire King and other NPCs.

The way the post system works is you (as your character) will dictate an action, whether that be swinging a weapon, casting a spell, etc. As GM, I will post the outcome of that action, saying whether it succeeds or fails. I can decide this action either by a coin toss or using an RNG, whichever you may prefer.
Here's an example of what to expect:

-Action: I cast a fireball at the monster

-Reaction(Success): The fireball hits the monster, exploding in his face

Personality

Lancelot is Kate's oasis, her escape from the harsh rigors of daily life. It is a place where she can be who she wants to be without the world or her peers judging her. As such, Kate loses herself for hours in the game, despite having to juggle her work and personal relationships outside of it. When she's not neck-deep in grading assignments, typing out lesson plans, or having to handle the responsibilities of a wife, she can be found at her desktop, playing until damn near midnight, or even later when she's not having to deal with work.

Kate has a very fanciful, playful nature inside the game, often teasing other players or flirting with them, especially male characters. She is friendly at times, but her mischievous attitude often leads to trouble. Outside of Lancelot however, Kate is different. She is shy, timid, soft-spoken, and not all that outgoing. She would rather hide from the world than face it, especially when her husband is watching.

Background

Katherine Rose Westenra (Age 35), or Kate for short, is a high school literature teacher living in Boston, Massachusetts. Born in 1988, she lived in Salem with her mother and father, until they moved to Boston in the spring of '99, after her father got a job with the mathematics department at M.I.T. At that time, Kate began to discover her two greatest loves, books and video games. She was fascinated by the worlds within stories she read or became lost in while playing games, especially role-playing games, which turned out to be her favorite. She would spend hours either with her nose pressed into the pages or up against the screen of her living room TV set, living vicariously through fantastical characters.

As Kate grew older, her parents' relationship had soured. Her mother and father were constantly fighting, making her home life feel toxic and unwelcoming. She began to find an escape in her two greatest passions, a place to get away from smashing vases, screaming, and just the overall chaos at home. She made very few friends at school, and the ones that she did befriend soon moved away, leaving her all alone once again. She was the target of bullies, mainly because of her glasses and her timid nature. As such, Kate slowly began to become withdrawn and introverted as she continued through life.

Years later, Kate's mother and father divorced, and she stayed with her mother in Boston, where she attended college and graduated with her master's degree in literature. Along the way, she still indulged in playing the latest role-playing games and MMOs. Later on, after her mother had passed away from cervical cancer, Kate was working as a literature teacher in a Boston high school, where unbeknownst to her, one of her colleagues set her up on a date with a charismatic and handsome architect named Louis. Kate fell for Louis' charming personality, and eventually, the two married. Alas, after a year, the veneer of Louis' charm began to fade, revealing an overbearing and narcissistic man hellbent on controlling every aspect of her life: who she could talk to, what clothes she could wear, where she could go, and even how long she could play her games when he was home. If she didn't comply, Kate was often berated by Louis and sometimes struck.

With the stress of her job and her controlling husband, Kate began to suffer mentally. Gaming had once again become an escape for her.
