@Mechromancer Maybe for now she has regular accommodations and her goal is to gain the more comfortable positions in Gallows like those that have wealthy patrons or parentage. Does that work for you?
@Mechromancer I love your character! Although, I would say that conditions in the Gallows aren’t as cushy of a lifestyle unless you’re high up or have a noble patron or are from an influential family. Although, since Dorothea doesn’t know who her parents are could indicate that they are wealthy or have wealthy ties.
@TiLovely! You can go ahead and add it to the Character section.@Mechromancer Sounds good! It will be interesting since mages from the capital haven’t been free in centuries. Unless they are an apostate where they are a secret mage.
Cassie laughed with Superboy about keeping track of some of the other team members. She was about to bet him how long it would take Wally to be rejected by Red Dress Girl. Suddenly, Batman spoke of how there was a prison break and then Nightwing said that it was most definitely a way to draw the heroes away from the Hall.
Cassie crossed her arms and frowned slightly. A lot of them hadn’t fought together, many barely knew each other and only by their sidekick alias. If they were attacked, this wasn’t going to end well, or so she feared.
Cassie wandered through the lobby, her blue eyes taking in any odd behavior that was more than just the normal weird by some celebrities. ” I don’t like this you guys. We’ve hardly trained together,” She commented as the warning of the black van came over the earpiece. She took off and met the others in the lobby just as Scarlet Beacon was shot in the chest.
Wonder Girl skidded in her shoes to a stop as her flight was cut short by the flying glass from the broken windows. She paused to help Scarlet Beacon up onto his feet. Cassie grabbed her Whip of Lighting off her belt and gave it a warning snap as a giant scorpion man was standing in front of her.
” Time to fry some bugs,” Cassie said with a smirk as she attempted to lasso the scorpion man in front of her but the guy grabbed her lasso before she had time to charge it and pulled her close. “Whoa!” She cried out in surprise but used the momentum with her fist to land a good punch to his face.
Cassie was able to use her flight power to level out and steady herself to get in a defensive stance. She put her whip back on her belt for now, she would need time to charge it if she was going to use it to her current capacity.
“Any thoughts on how we incapacitate these guys?” She asked as she barely dodged a charge and punch. “They take quite the hits,” Wonder Girl added as she did a flip backward simultaneously kicking the scorpion man in the face to avoid the poisonous tail. She quickly grabbed the spot below the poisonous tip and lashed the tail hard hearing a sickening crack and the creature cried out in pain before grabbing Cassie by the throat.
Wonder Girl clawed at the scorpion’s hand as the creature cursed her in an unknown language. The scorpion man began to throw her around like a bit of a rag doll before throwing her across the room. She cried out in pain as her back slammed into a pillar. Wonder Girl slowly got back up as the scorpion man charged at her from across the room. Cassie’s eyes began to glow a slight light blue color as she took out her whip.
“Alright, no more Miss Nice Wonder Girl,” Cassie growled as she lashed her whip at the scorpion man and upon meeting contact her electric charge tased the creature. She began to swing the scorpion man around with the lasso to disorient him before she flew fast and landed a series of punches on his face.
“Hey, Nightwing, just a thought but if we get that book and shut the Latin up, these scorpion guys will stop, right?” Wonder Girl asked as realized how these creatures were summoned.
[center]Vradia is a diverse land of people and countless opportunities for adventures. A world of great design filled with warriors, mages, alchemists, rogues, royalty, and villains. Together we can build a unique experience to allow various stories to play out. Vradia was once a continent divided into kingdoms but was brought together under the First Emperor about five millennia ago known as the Unification War. There are five major regions of Vradia: Sands of Regand, Ellegaz Plains, Evergreen Forest, Western Rife Mountains, and the capital city, Volenstul. To the south, there are the Sands of Regand. The desert region of Vradia.
The Sands of Regnad were as mystic and beautiful as they were dangerous. Rolling hills of sand and dirt would meet the occasional dry cliffs and plateaus to form the landscape. Various animals would call the crevices of the landforms home and also provide shelter for those looking to get out of the sand storms. The arid desert was home to two major cities, Dolg and Revlis.
Dolg was the first oasis established settlement by Vradia’s first emperor. It is the major hub for all the small villages and towns that have built themselves within the cliffs. Revlis was formed out of the need to mine the minerals within the mountainous plateaus and soon many mining settlements became one city.
The Evergreen Forest to the East
The trees of the Evergreen Forest seemed to be as tall and as ancient as the mountains they guarded around, especially from the forest floor. Various species of flora and fauna thrive within the vast landscape of emerald and other bright hues. The Elvian people roamed amongst millions of tree roots, living at the bases of their ancestral protectors.
Every once in a while, an Elvian settlement would pop up along the Emerald Trade Route that allowed the Elvian people to trade with the rest of Vradia. The Emerald Trade Route is the only way in and out of the Evergreen Forest. Many emperors have tried to expand within this ancient place only to have every effort be squashed and driven back.
The capital city of Vradia, Volenstul, is located more so to the North side of the Ellezage Plains.
This is the capital city of Vradia, where the Emperor and his family resided in the castle. It was home to many noble and common families alike. The close quarters of the Downtown and Harbor districts were the most populated filled with the poorest commoners within the city’s walls. This area was famous for being the hub of mercenaries and thieves for hire.
The Rosebud District was the main square of the town serving as the marketplace for merchants. Many of the commoners and nobles were able to converse and interact with one another here. This area was the go-between for various people and businesses. Many of the noble families live in the Upper Ring District, the various wide-open estates of land that surrounded the Capital Castle.
A mage in the Capital was sent Htead Gallows, a mage protection facility that was ‘supposed to’ help the mage grow and learn how to control their power and themselves.
The Western Rife Mountains. Once home to the ancient species of dragons and their keepers, Dragonians. The temples dedicated are now desolate and empty.
High above the lowlands of Vradia, rested the Western Rife Mountains, once home to dragons and the people that worshipped the beasts of the skies, the Dracoians. The Western Rife Mountains were the border between the Ellezag Plains and the Evergreen Forest. Before the First Emperor, the ancient Dragonian civilization was vast and thrived amongst the winged creatures. Temples were built to protect and serve the dragons being one of the few intelligent creatures outside of humans, Elvians, dwarves, and the like. After the Unification War, the First Emperor ordered all dragons to be hunted to extinction as they posed a threat to the people’s safety.
The once gleaming temples dedicated to dragons were abandoned after the rumor of the last dragon was killed. Bandits and other miscreants have managed to pilfer a majority of precious artifacts from a life long ago, except for one temple, the Temple of Gikn Gradon. No matter how many attempts were made, many people were forced to turn around whether supplies were destroyed or a majority of their men were killed, no one was able to reach Gikn Gradon.
The countryside of the Ellezag Plains.
The Ellezag Plains are a vast, wide-open space that makes up a good chunk of Vradia. The Elvian that have chosen to leave the Evergreen Forest and mingle with humans roam nomadically throughout this area. Many small towns, villages, farms, and cities call this area home. This area saw the most bloodshed when the First Emperor decided to unite the regions. It was an area of many warlords and tribes before the Unification War.

Double-ended daggers with a bow and arrow as backups.
Detailed Appearance:
Faline stands at 5'7" with an athletic, yet curvy form. She is considered short amongst the Elvian. She has vibrant green eyes and thick, curly red hair that is normally in a braid or dreadlocks that cover her slightly pointed ears. Faline's attire usually consists of leather and natural materials like wool or cotton.
Bio History:
Faline was born to a member of one of the few nomadic clans of Elvian that roam the Evergreen Forest. Her father was an exception, an honorary member of her clan despite being human. He had saved the chief's precious niece from a bandit raid that wanted to sell her into slavery. Her mother was head over bare heels for him and the two grew close to the point where they married and had Faline. While she is considered a part of the clan, the half-human blood that runs in Faline's veins negates any claim to a major position within the clan.
At a young age, no more than three, Faline had a way with animals and plant life that others of her clan did not. She was able to tell where the ripest foods were in the forest and where the best fish were as if an Ursa Major (Great Bear) actually took the time to tell her. Not only that but she had a singing voice that could calm the mind and ease the soul.
It was during one of the few stops at a Settlement along the Trade Road that misfortune found her clan once again. Faline's parents were killed while trying to protect the clan, a majority of Faline's clan was able to flee into the forest but not until after damage had been done. After word had traveled to the reaches of the capital, Faline, and her clan were surprised by a small accompany of men that were employed by her father's family, whom they assumed had died. He was an estranged son of a noble family that had left to find his own way in the world. They had missed him terribly and were saddened to hear that he had perished. With this last attack from the bandits, Faline's clan was suffering to feed everyone and at the age of ten years old, she decided to go with her father's family's men back to Volenstul.
Faline's paternal grandparents welcomed her with open arms and her father's older brother, Nikolai, loved her like his own, considering his wife was never able to conceive. Her uncle recognized her potential with her voice and affinity with nature. Nikolai also sensed the unchecked rage that occurred from her parents being killed. He trained her in hand-to-hand combat and with her stature they found that she was best suited with daggers, double-ended ones became her favorite.
As she got older, Faline noticed that Nikolai would take these trips but would never exactly tell her where he went or what he did. Most recently the trips had been more frequent and the once great sparkle in her uncle's eyes had diminished with each return but he still smiled for her, even with the fact that she was now a young woman. Nikolai had disappeared completely about a year ago. Usually, he would send Faline that he was fine and doing well knowing how concerned she got especially with her parents gone. Nikolai and his wife, Clara, were her second parents.
Now, Faline was on a mission to find out what happened to Nikolai. Lately, she has been taking up odd mercenary jobs that showed some potential leads to her paternal uncle. Her drive to find him and not lose out on another parent figure.

Skills and Abilities:
Abilities:
You must have three abilities and give a short description of each ability.
Siren's Call- When Faline uses her Siren's Call whether it is with her voice or an instrument, her enemy's guard is let down and allows her to pose as an ally until she is close enough to strike and take out her opponent. This ability is one that develops further over practice and time.
Connection with Nature- While she can't shapeshift into a creature like most Druids, Faline can communicate with animals when she uses her connection. She can also communicate with other Druids in their animal forms.
Persuasion- While she is nowhere near as persuasive as her uncle, Faline is able to hold her own when it comes to making deals and convincing others. Growing up in the high society of Volenstul, Faline has learned a thing or two about the political scene and uses it to her advantage when needed.
What are the drawbacks of those abilities?
The drawback to Siren's Call is that Faline could potentially lose herself in her song and if she isn't careful could enslave her allies as well if she isn't focused.
Speaking to animals out in the open is frowned upon, especially in the Volenstul where such magic is forbidden. It makes her appear insane. She normally doesn't converse with animals in the open but sometimes a squirrel just needs to shut up.
Not everyone is willing to talk things through and sometimes the wrong thing could be said in conversation, leading Faline into trouble.
Skills:
Three basic skills that your character contributes to the group with a short description.
Insight- Faline is able to assess a situation and form a quick plan.
Nature- Due to living out in the Evergreen Forest and being trained by her uncle, Faline has a wide range of knowledge about animals and plants to forage for food or even collect plants for potions.
Acrobatics- Faline is able to climb walls and trees with ease. She is very flexible and is able to evade close attacks. This skill also allows her to use double-ended daggers as weapons to protect herself or also shoot a quick arrow with her bow.
@shagranoz@Dragonfly 9 Your characters can be of different races, however, Dragonians, Elvians, and Humans are native to Vradia. The Emperor conquered the region 5,000 years ago so there is the possibility of other races fleeing as refugees or just immigrating to Vradia.
