Hitomi impatiently bounced up and down moving the steering wheel to each side attempting to inch forward towards DRU-kun. "Mush Kazou!" knowing that she had multiple options for arriving. She could believe in the heart of the cards, rely on justice, or follow Daisuke. All incredibly viable and well thought out plans for reaching their destination.

Hitomi, growing more bored by the second began to yawn contemplating falling off the side of the bike in order to nap. It would hurt, but the sweet release of sleep would be oh-so worth it. She supposed it wouldn't hurt that much.

Probably anyway.

"H'yah!" She cried out wipping her hands back onto the bike as if she was tightening the reins of a horse. She kind of heard Kimiko speaking with Kazou. But it was kinda silent.

She just wanted to go.

"Sooooooo boreeeeeeed."

Hitomi groaned. She thought about bringing down the bike with Kazou in tow, but his stupid long legs wouldn't let that happen.

She thought she heard the name Drake, but Kimiko was quick to correct. His name was DRU. DRU was a great name. But she thought on it, didn't Kimiko have a friend named Drake? He sings...?

Probably.

He sounds nice.

I couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Don’t break character Jericho, you shouldn’t be so nice, the aristocrats will talk.”

But it meant a lot, what Jericho said. It was hard being independent from someone that funded your every whim. It was a crutch you went back to every single time. But, maybe I could find some kind of balance between taking my dad’s money, just enough – and being independent. I think this could really make Jericho see me for who I am. Yeah, I have these wings, this bank account, this hair, that smile, don’t get me started on my wonderful physique – perfect for a girl my height. And, I mean, I knew how to get what I want. Show some weakness, pout, wrap them around your finger like the easy to manipulate men they were. But, I mean, really I’m down to earth. I know my roots and where I come from!

If anything, I’m probably the most down to earth person I know.

Except for Luke. The kid basically lives in his own grave.

But this, this would make certain that from now on Jer knew I was one of them. The rest of the people.

“Ms. Nuit I’m being told the manager needs you to sign a few papers, to finalize your acquisition of this branch.”

Right.

Shit.

I own this place.

“I’ll have to do that another time, thank you though.” I said waving the woman off as nonchalantly as an Atlesian hunk at war. I turned back to Jericho with a grin. Typical Bianca. I was finally getting back to things being… Just typical.

Thank god.

I felt the grin sustain, not begin to wain and leave my face. It felt nice. Really nice.

Maybe this guy was more than a washboard given a soul.

Hitomi jumped with delight as she hopped onto the other bike at Daisuke’s behest. It was glorious. It had wheels, and spokes, maybe some gears?

Hitomi didn’t know a lot about bikes. But she could ride one! She typically rode with a huge guitar case on her back so this was gonna be nothing. Kazou looked about as frail as a guitar.

"Should I, um, just take the tram? Where are you guys headed maybe I could meet up I mean..." Hitomi’s eyes began to focus in on her prey new friend and they lit up instantly.

“Kazou-San, I can take you anywhere in the world on this bike. Because if my name is Hitomi, and this bike belongs to Kimiko-Sama then there’s nothing I can’t do. Please get on.” "

She gave a thumbs up to Daisuke and Kimiko before realizing that there was an equal probability that this bike she was on now, well it could belong to Daisuke too.

“In the case that this is Daisuke’s bike his pure skill will flow through my and I will be able to make it at least to our destination.” The girl had immense confidence in her own abilities and her friends’ bikes. But in truth, she looked like a madwoman. She was on the lower end of the height spectrum and she could barely sit comfortably on a bike built for someone as tall as Daisuke or Kimiko. Still Hitomi’s vast confidence would surely outweigh her physical abilities.

“That’s my ninja way!”

I won’t lie. I have no idea when Jericho is lying sometimes. But his entire family being killed on a bird Faunus expedition just worked way too much for this ‘I definitely hate Bianca’ narrative he’s been pushing.

Either way, he seems fine so it’s probably better not to push it.

Just let him have this one.

As Jericho got up to get his cappuccino and Bianca got the view of an approximate lifetime she let her smile fade in way that would relax Jericho. She didn’t want to harass him as much as she just wanted to win him over to her side for all eternity. So start slow.

But then my boy did the unthinkable. He sat across from me, looked me right in the eyes.

Can you believe it? I can’t help it if a grin just happens to spread faster than no chunky peanut butter at that point. It’s just common sense!

"So what's up with you?" he asked, loathing himself as he did. "Sitting in a coffeehouse alone on Family Day is even depressing to me. Is there anyone else from the Second Estate that I'm going to have to work not to shoot today?"

Oh right. Jericho Piper had not met my father.

This could either be the single biggest boon to our eventual relationship or the thing that makes certain it never happens.

“Yeah.”

I don’t even know where to start with this.

“I’ve got my father coming in, should be here in about an hour.”

I felt this sense of dread creep up from my feet to the back of my neck. As if I hadn’t realized until just now that I was going to have to interact with my father again for hours today. He was going to meet my friends. My teachers. Jericho.

By all accounts today was going to be terrible.

“I’ll try to steer him clear of you.” I said with an uncharacteristically dry tone.
@Forsythe

Pretty much, exactly.
@Crimson Raven

Communication is key. I believe even if you didn't read every post you can always ask. "Hey, so I'm about to send Bianca your way, anything in particular I should be aware of?"

Just simple stuff like that makes it a whole lot easier. But yeah obviously we shouldn't have people ending up isolated from the rest of the group, I do agree with that.

I think it's completely managable.

as to @Crimmy's point about credits. One method we can use is this: I want an upgrade. So I post my proposed upgrade on the OOC in a manner of "This is the update, speak on it now or forever hold your peace." If someone does have an issue we discuss it like adults and if it must we can always hold a vote on a matter. I think we're all capable of being mature about that kind of thing. Especially with the stark lack of pvp and how insanely powerful some characters are, it isn't too much of an issue either way.

Regardless my point is, with communication I believe it is fully possible.
@Sho Minazuki

I sat alone in the café for a little while before fully depleting my cappuccino. I considered waiting a little longer before getting another one, however in Estelle’s immortal words. “Fuck that drink up.”

No clue what the context on that one was.

Regardless, I floated my way back to the counter once more to place my second order.

“Hello, I’d like to or-“

“You’re back again?” The unkempt and seemingly barbaric Barista said in a flat, dry tone. I felt my right eye begin to twitch as a smile glided to my lips. It had been so long since I had a proper target.

“No that’s quite alright, never mind.” I said almost adding a curtsy for good measure. After all…

“Ugh, whatever, move aside so I can take the next order.” A proper kill included an unaware target. I quickly made my way back to my seat and sat down cross-legged. I snatched my scroll out of my hand bag and before I knew it my fingers flared wildly across the screen. First, my father.

“Bianca why are you calling me?” He snapped over the phone. But I had no time for petty resistance.

“I need 6,000,000 lien.” I said as if it were a threat on his life.

“I’ve just transferred it, what are we buying?” He asked, before being answered by the beeping of a canceled call.

Papa was threatening to most. But his daughters had ways to deal with him. Estelle drank, and I fought him on his own terms.

Next up was head office.

“Hello, this is the head office for the Vale Coffee Company, how may I help you today?”

I glanced over at the Barista and managed to glean his eye contact. I smiled twirling a stray lock of hair around my index finger.

“Oh, good afternoon! My name is Bianca Nuit, Heiress of Nuit incorporated and majority shareholder of Du Acier Steel. May I speak with Mrs. Rouge please?”

I decidedly spoke up. I wanted him to hear who I was speaking to, even if the name didn’t make sense to him yet. He would understand fairly soon.

“Oh! Mrs. Nuit, right away ma’am.”

“Hello, this is Marion Rouge, Ms. Nuit I heard you were calling today, may I ask what about?”

Marion Rouge. An old family friend. She owned more than a few commercial food chains, which of course, included her first company – The Vale Coffee Company.

“Of course, Marion I’m so sorry I couldn’t make the gala this past week. I’ve been so busy.”

“That is completely understandable, I hear from your father you’re in training to become a huntress. Thank you for your service.”

The barista seemed confused, but he also seemed interested in my conversation. Good. You should be… Matthew? Even his nametag was difficult to discern with his sloppy handwriting.

“It’s my pleasure. Now Marion, are you aware of your location café near Beacon academy?"

I asked, making sure to annunciate for old Matthew. Or… Was it Maxwell? His handwriting was making my vengeance slightly more complicated.

]“Of course, it’s a prime location. Great business hour traffic.”

“Indeed, I love what you’ve done with it.”

“Thank you Mrs. Nuit, but if that’s all while I do appreciate the compliment I have a very busy schedule.”

“Of course, Marion. Allow me to jump to the point. I’d like to make an offer on this location. I understand this is a high traffic area, and thusly you aren’t willing to give it up completely. It’s a big part of your earnings, but I’d like to buy 51% of this café. I would reserve hiring and firing rights, though I promise not to intervene too often. That also means, of course, that 51% of the profit would go to a bank account I have set up.”

While giving Marion my terms I was quickly tapping away on a secondary scroll. Setting up the required lien and bank account.

“Your offer would have to be steep Mrs. Nuit. Bringing someone in at 51%, even for one location can cause investors to fear.”

“That’s no worry at all. My offer is six million lien. On the table transferrable right now.”

“I look forward to our business together, Mrs. Nuit. I’ll have my assistant forward you the pertinent documents and account information.”

The Barista still didn’t seem to understand why he was in trouble or in what form that trouble would take. But he would.

“Marion, you’ve been as pleasing to the ear as ever. Please give your family my best- oh, I’m sorry there’s just one more thing. I’d like to let one of our employees go at this branch. His lack of enthusiasm, family-minded mentality and kindness is setting a poor example for such a staple of our company.”

I said looking directly into Maxwell… Or maybe Marshall’s soul. His handwriting really was atrocious.

“That could be an issue-“

“Oh don’t worry I’ll give him his severance out of my own pocket. Two weeks of minimum wage is not too small a cost to better our branch.” I responded with a poisonous and content smile.

“That’s good to hear Mrs. Nuit. I look forward to doing business with you.” Marion said as she hung up the phone.

Once more I glided up to the counter looking at… Oh, okay it looks like Montgomery. Monty stared back at me with a dull, lacking fire in his eyes.

“Monty, you’ve been let go. You’ll receive severance pay accordingly. Thank you for your time.” I said motioning to the girl standing behind him.

“Yes Ma’am?” She asked, quite politely.

“One Café Mocha please.” I said swiftly moving back to my chair as I watched Monty pack up his things. He left, my grin grew wider and my new favourite barista dropped off my Café Mocha. I took a hearty sip of the drink as my eyes light up.

My favourite super spy walked in. 007 pretty much defined the look he got from other women. But there he went slinging himself over a few chairs and giving me the most glorious side eye on this side of the country.

“Don’t you even look at me.” He said as I graciously abided.

I looked to the side with a grin the size of an underclassmen’s scythe.

“Hey Jeeeeeeer.” I cooed happily. “How’s family day going for you?”
I haven’t been very vocal during this, so I figure it’s time I start to speak up. I believe everyone is trying to come up with a ‘way to fix everything’. But if you get rid of teams you’re going to destroy easily one of the best parts of the RP as @Krayzikk and @Silvan Haven has pointed out. If you jump to another event as many people have pointed out it drastically changes what is good about this RP and forces everyone to try and come up with what happened during that time. We’d just lose more people. The most active point in my time during this RP unquestionably was when I brought back Bianca and she was interacting with Gratia who was not even going to be on her team. You do not have to singularly interact with team members.

But as Krayzikk and others have pointed out. It gives this RP a strong sense of identity and structure that I think we’d be absolutely insane to drop.

So I think above all else we need to keep teams around. I would also, after a lot of thought and discussion with a couple of those whose opinions I highly value, think that we should leave the power vacuum in the RP. I will be stepping down from a gm position entirely and I encourage @NarayanK and @Prince of Seraphs to do the same thing. Nara, I don’t know about you, because all of my conversations with Lug were in private chat but I barely got a damn thing done at all and Lug got even less done since he had promoted me. This RP in the way we are running it now is fully capable of continuing autonomously and with all of us at the reins as a team.

It does not need a GM.

I believe that now. As long as players can continue to be antagonists on missions, make contests, interact with others, and continue as we have I believe we can continue this monolith of an RP.

Now, this does mean that we all will have to commit to working to improve the RP when it is necessary and being fair in our decision making since if we have no GM’s that means there is equality in everyone’s voices.

So, let me propose something I spoke to Lug a few times and he seemed to accept. It was going to be put in place, but without myself or Lug on a GM team there isn't really a point in just acting like we can't discuss it. The idea was evolved from my original, fairly drastic and terrible idea, by speaking with @Plank Sinatra, @Crimmy, as well as [@Here Comes the Snow] and implementing their feedback to reign it in from the vast over correction that it was.

Anyone feel free to share their opinions on that right there and anything else I’ve said in this RP. I for one, plan on getting a post up as soon as Jericho makes his sweet ass sit in the café. So, yeah I believe we can stay the course and maintain something that we can be proud of.

also Sho pls bby be more interested in me. I try so hard for you.

Hitomi heard the conversation everyone was having and sort of payed attention. Sort of. She was off in her usual head space as the bleeding subsided fairly quickly. She removed the napkin and removed her head from Commander-Chan’s shoulder to go and throw it out. After throwing it out she returned to their seats sitting down cross-legged looking fairly snug with her fair flexibility and comfy sweater. She felt a little at odds with herself, fidgeting with her hands often. She typically carried around a rather hefty guitar case so it was somewhat odd having nothing in her hands.

On her way back she passed by the boy who was waiting in line and staring at her. Gosh, when you’re with a hot tamale like the commander boys just can’t help themselves! She giggled a little and quietly said hello as she squeezed passed him towards her seat.
Kazou seemed a little awkward. Which felt relatable to Hitomi. After all, she sort of adopted whatever personality best suited her surroundings. It wasn’t uncommon for her during her formative years to rarely speak out of line for fear of physical repercussions. Still, he had to learn if he wanted to fit in with the crew she was running with now the most important thing he could have was a strong spine. Stick to your gut and the Commander will at least respect that.

She offered her Commander a sweet look and a welcoming smile butting in a little. “You should come by the Sacred Grounds too, we sell fried food I think you’d like it.” She said kindly turning back to Kazou.

I agree with Daisuke, I believe it’d be difficult to explain – try looking at the scene and make sense of whatever the area tells you!” She said, replying to no one really, but rather simply offering her two cents on the matter.
