Emma J. Sullivan
Fair, patient, and kind-hearted. Naturally an all-around decent person with good intentions. Emma has been rather consistent throughout the years with her definition of right and wrong. She doesn’t make excuses for anyone’s bad behavior and tends to believe in karma. Needless to say, the young woman isn’t without her faults. Whenever Emma believes she’s in the right, she will argue her point for as long as it takes. She also recognizes the fact that she has a short fuse, something she has attempted to work on in the past.
Emma was born and raised in Newark, NJ. She was the youngest child of the happily married Mr. and Mrs. Rosen up until Emma was around 3 years old when her older brother sadly passed away due to an illness. The catastrophe tore her family’s life apart, and it was a rough few years before they slowly settled back into some level of normalcy. Initially, Emma had struggled in school due to the events that transpired. She had it so rough, she was held back a year. However, with tutoring and additional help on an individual basis, later on she managed to skip a grade and catch up to her old classmates.
After she was done with school, Emma made the short move to New York for college. It was there she met her would-be husband,
Thomas Sullivan. He was an NYPD detective fresh off the streets. The two fell madly in love, and for about a year tried to conceive a child of their own. However, when Emma paid a visit to the OBGYN, he advised she wouldn’t be able to have kids. The couple was terribly saddened, but at that point they decided to adopt. The child, whose name would eventually be changed to
Ty Sullivan, was a face they couldn’t forget. He was one of the first kids they met and they just knew he would be the one.
Everything was going great for the small family of three. One random Tuesday evening, Thomas and Emma had a conversation and he told her he had decided he would join the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and with Emma’s blessing he submitted the application later that week. The hiring process was rather lengthy, but after all was said and done, he was accepted to the FBI academy and upon completion, the family moved to Boston as Thomas had been assigned to the field office there. Emma, on the other hand, found a new position with one of the main news channels in Boston. The young couple constantly worked hard; this was the routine for a while and slowly, over time, they started seeing less of each other. The small amount of time they had to themselves would be spent arguing more often than not. Throughout those few years, they tried couple’s therapy, taking family vacations, etc., but it seemed the damage was done. Emma then decided they should take a break and she moved out alone, taking Ty every other week as they both had agreed on. However, recently, it seemed there was hope of the two getting back together once more.
Ty is currently staying with Emma in her apartment.
