Hello! I'm Yankee.
I'm usually down for pretty much anything: action, adventure, romance, horror, taboo, comedy, smut, gore, slice-of-life, etc.
I like cute, fun stories just as much as dark, gross, traumatic (for character) stories. I enjoy creating original characters for RP,
but I get as much enjoyment writing as canon characters in fandom-based games!
On that note I like comic books, cartoons, and videogames. I'm also very into cosplay and art!

I am a very slow writer, so my preferred posting pace is once per week or less. I usually post on weekends.
I like to have fun while writing, so I prefer relaxed partners who don't take things too seriously.
Remember: fiction =/= reality.

Feel free to PM me to chat!
However I do not check PMs immediately. Might take me a day or two... or ten to get back to you.

Oooooh. If you don't mind could you hit me up with the three I was potentially interested in previously? That being Paimon, Beleth and Eligos.

Zak killed the engine as soon as the truck was aligned with the gas pump. He was pretty sure that most of the squad was as desperate to get out of the vehicle by now as he was, if not more so. The loud rock tunes disappeared, replaced with the muted sound of the gas station's radio playing from old, crackling speakers as the red haired WARDEN stepped out and shut the door loudly behind him.

"Not it," he stated, a good-natured smile on his face, "You all should be glad I got us here in one piece. That road was brutal."

He didn't know nor really care where he fell in the rotation of gas, food, and lodging purchases - except for now, because forking over for gas after the berating from nearly everyone would have been like rubbing salt in a wound. He was a good driver, honest! After waving Galahad off with a promise to pay up next time, the young man peered into the bed where the others were shuffling out. After everything, Sam looked to be in pretty good shape - physically, at least. If his slurring was anything to go by, someone had given him something pretty strong. Asa, if he had to guess.

"Well, mostly one piece," he added, tensing when Sam fell into him but propping the other man up against himself all the same. It wouldn't do to let him crack his head on the concrete, then there really would be an emergency - and he was still cracking jokes with a sliced up hand! Zak laughed with him, giving his friend a half-hearted mock salute to play along. "Just doing my duty, sir."

He all but manhandled the blonde back towards the truck, having him sit on the bed's open gate and nodded to Sorin. Man, he really hoped she wasn't cross with him for not stopping the truck - but at least disaster hadn't befallen them or anything. Zak took a few moments to make sure Sam wouldn't just flop over onto his back before he moved off to give their medically-inclined teammate room to do her thing. As for everyone else, he looked between the group and the rundown motel. Honestly they could probably all afford their own room at a place like this, but the group already had their plan in mind. Best to stick with it.

"Bunk mate situation," he started, glancing at their tallest member. "If any of our resident drunkards don't remember who was with who, I'm pretty sure Ray does." The man in question always remembered little stuff like that. It had been a few hours of sun, bumpy roads and drinking though, Zak wouldn't blame anyone if they didn't recall who they'd signed up to share the first night with. "Speaking of, I'm pretty sure we're sharing a room Ray."
Guy you've had me since the first check.

"Do you ever wish things were... different...?"

Name:
Flynn Arata

Age:
18

Gender:
Non-binary

Appearance:
Clear skin, tall and slim, with a boyish face and long hair, Flynn has done a lot of growing up since the last time whey were in New Bark Town. As a child they were small, messy hair always cut short and more frequently than not they were streaked with dirt as they played with their group of friends. There was always a smile on their face. That smile is rarely seen nowadays. Their bright eyes, though somewhat dimmed over the years, is the most familiar thing about them.

Flynn most often dresses in a furred traveling cloak. Underneath it, quality clothes that cling to their skin, betraying an elegant, if somewhat boxy figure. They wear ribbons in their hair as a force of habit, but often remove them throughout the day.

Personality:
Reserved, but surprisingly stubborn. Flynn spent most of their life obeying their grandmother's orders, but they ran away hoping to change that aspect of themself. They are unfailingly polite even through their stubbornness, and can border on being passive aggressive when arguing, but unless pushed to the edge Flynn won't cause a scene. Often feels bitter but tries not to let it show on their face. Though they often fail, Flynn does try and come off friendlier and more helpful than they actually feel. Tends to over think things.

Short Biography:
Flynn was a happy child, spending the first ten years of their life in New Bark Town, growing up amongst other children and Pokemon alike. Their raw joy for life and Pokemon was unrivaled. Looking back, Flynn would say they were the best years of their young life.

At eleven years old, the Arata family moved to their ancestral home of Ecruteak after Flynn's father became too ill to support them in New Bark. Flynn had come from a long line of shrine maidens and dancers, commonly known as "Kimono Girls," on their mother's side. Unbeknownst to many outside of Ecruteak, it was a harsh lifestyle. Training day and night, both the mind and the body. Posture, fluid movements, even making sure minute turns of the head were polite and beautiful. Dancing until their feet were bruised from the effort. Keeping their bodies ready for performances, wrapping themselves tight in elegant silken robes. All for the sake of trying to entice Ho-Oh, the legendary Pokemon, to return to it's tower.

Flynn's father had become smitten with their mother and whisked them away from that life... but in the light of his failing health, the family had little choice than to move back to Ecruteak and into their family's large estate. From their, Flynn's grandmother took them away for kimono training. They had a lot to catch up on after all.

It was horrible, miserable, all of Flynn's days consisted of dance dance dance and worship worship worship, all for some Pokemon they had never seen and frankly, was starting to doubt existed. Everything was ingrained into their brain, and although they made a wonderful dancer, the one fault they had was that they were never quite able to appear happy while dancing, only neutral at best.

At sixteen, Flynn was given a Pokemon. The past five years Flynn had barely even seen a Pokemon, but now apparently they were a good enough dancer that they could begin training with one. It was an Oddish. Said to evolve into the beautiful Bellossom, the perfect dancing partner. Needless to say, Flynn didn't want anything to do with it. The Oddish tried very hard to bond with her trainer, but Flynn had closed themselves off a while ago. Sure, they did grow closer over the next too years, but one couldn't really call them true partners. Flynn picked and ripped the Oddish's leaves whenever they were stressed or anxious, which was most of the time.

The breaking point came just after Flynn's eighteenth birthday while training with the other dancers for an annual ceremony. Oddish, who'd eventually been given the name Iris, was twirling in the studio with a few of the other Pokemon. It tripped over it's own feet and crashed into another Pokemon, which fell into another, and so on, until the lead dancer toppled over and twisted her ankle pretty badly. There was a lot of yelling, anger and blame being thrown about. Worries about the ceremony. The next best dancer was Flynn, but many protested them taking up the lead due to their Pokemon being the cause of the accident. Tears were shed by some, vicious words shared from others, until finally Flynn ran back to their family's estate, packed a single tote bag and ran from the city.

It's time to take control of my own life, Flynn thought. The headed South, unknowingly heading toward New Bark. A few days after leaving, Flynn was surprised to see Iris running after them. The Pokemon actually looked happy to see them, beat up a bit but happy all the same. It had followed after Flynn and was looking for them all that time. Honestly, it broke Flynn's heart - they felt something other than indifference for a Pokemon for the first time in many years. They cradled the Oddish and continued on, eventually arriving in New Bark just as their old group of friends was gathering to travel the region.

Reason for Traveling with Main Group:
Flynn wants to fall in love with Pokemon again. They want to be free to see the world and try and connect with the person they used to be. And, deep down, they want to know if all of their training was for nothing, if Ho-Oh and the other Legendary Pokemon were real and if they were, did humans even matter to them. They need a purpose, and feel compelled to find one.

Relationships:
  • Katalya Akiyama
    • A close childhood friend. They often found comfort with one another when illness affected their family. Confided a lot in each other. Kat is the nearest thing to a best friend that Flynn has, especially now.
  • Dante DiAngelo
    • A close childhood friend. They were each other's partner in crime. Nearly inseparable until Flynn moved away. Understandably, they have grown a bit apart since then. Still, Flynn feels comfortable talking to him.
  • Cho Toyama
    • A bit older than Flynn, but someone she knew nonetheless as a kid. Flynn thinks they haven't changed much since childhood, but finds their attitude commendable.
  • Bartholomew Mulkaper
    • As a child, Flynn thought Barry to be a very boring person. Now, they very much appreciate Barry's calm personality. Curious about his goal.
  • Naoko Jin
    • Exactly the type that a young mind would imagine had "cooties." Flynn was surprised to see Nao's prosthetic and may be more sympathetic towards her because of it, whether Nao appreciates it or not.
  • Sam Quinn
    • Not very close, but still, Flynn feels some kind of weird kinship with him. Sometimes they find him annoying, sometimes endearing, and sometimes even admirable. Very confused about him.
  • Kenny Hardroot
    • Flynn recalls playing with them a lot as a kid, but those days seem far away. Now, Kenny's pushy personality irks them - not that Flynn would let that be known in public.
  • Zola Amari
    • They were never very close, and now as adults Flynn keeps her at arm's length. Something about her rubs Flynn to wrong way. It's not that Flynn doesn't like her, but... it might take a while to warm up to her.
  • Ezekiel Miyamoto
    • They say you either love Kiel or hate him. Flynn's feelings lie more toward the hate side. Now that isn't to say they actually do hate Kiel, but since they can't get a read on him at all past his obnoxious surface personality, it's safe to say that they aren't very close.
  • Judas Alto
    • No prior relationship.

Other:
- Color is #DC143C
- Has a travel bag of random mismatched clothes, including their dance outfit which happened to already be in the bag.
- Absolutely no money or items to start with, didn't really think things through.
- More interested in Legendary Pokemon than they want to be. Initially fueled by bitterness, they are genuinely curious about them.
"Whooooa check this place out Bo, I was starting to think they didn't have any water in this region!"

The enthusiastic voice came from a girl standing just outside Phenac City's entrance. The girl was on the shorter side, with long fluffy hair tied behind her head and wearing a thin tan shawl - something she'd bought off of a local when they insisted on it. Apparently the sun could get pretty brutal in Orre. It didn't seem too different from the Desert Resort back home though, so the girl hadn't minded it. Speaking of the desert, the newly arrived trainer, Zita, held a small, round and red Pokemon above her head. It was a Darumaka, a species that thrived in hot and harsh climates, and this one was practically vibrating in excitement. When it's little body wiggles got too much to handle, Zita let the little Pokemon go and it landed in the sand before taking off straight into town.

Zita giggled and shook her head, but followed the Darumaka in anyway. It would be easy enough to find him again, just follow the trail of people that complained about nearly tripping over a little fiery ball of energy. That, or eventually he'd find his way back on his own. Bo was like that.

The air inside the city was noticeably cooler that outside, which only made sense but still delighted the girl. She barely took the time to marvel at Phenac's beautiful fountains and architecture though, making her way straight to the nearest public bulletin where she hoped to find a town map of some kind. Nearby, citizens and tourists alike chatted about Pokemon and trainers. It seemed there was some kind of gym here, which was good news for Zita. Getting her start in a backwoods region like Orre was exactly what she'd come here for. Though... she didn't exactly know the difference between a gym and a stadium, but either way the more battles the merrier!

"Okay," she said to herself, satisfied after studying the town's layout, "I need something to eat!"

After making sure that the armored dog would be looked after and everyone else got to where they needed to go around town, Ace Cadet was left with a little time to himself before the planned meeting time. He didn't do well sitting still, so eventually he found himself on the outskirts of Lumbridge again, digging up plants to use for his potions. Sure, he already had some life powders and the rest of the crew was doing their own preparations as far as healing went, but it didn't hurt to be over-prepared, right? If there was even such a thing.

He found some suitable herbs, crushed them and stuffed them into bottles. The whole affair didn't take very long, so next on the to-do list was... recollect his Slinger! Now that everyone had made their way out of the casino, it was time to return to it's rightful owner! He knew that a few of their party had used it, but seeing as it'd been passed around, tracking the device down would probably take a little time. On his way back into town, the Cadet noticed that the monster truck was gone. He blinked in surprise and looked up, shielding his eyes against the "sun." Wait, is that really the sun? I've been hearing some weird stuff lately, so maybe it's not? Can I tell time with it? The young man's thoughts rolled quickly through his head, eventually coming to the conclusion that it must have been getting close to the meeting time if someone had fetched the Grimm.

The trail to find his Slinger led Cadet around the entirety of Lumbridge before he was finally pointed back toward the Guild Hall. Apparently whoever had used it last was kind enough to leave it with the Guildmarm. The hunter made his way into the building, looking just a little flustered before he spotted everyone gathered and coughed into his fist before putting on his brightest smile.

"Almost time, huh?" he said conversationally, going quickly to the Guildmarm's counter and claiming his equipment. He strapped the Slinger back onto his wrist, looking over it briefly not for damage but out of some fondness for it. His final task complete, the Cadet joined the group. He was quite chipper, happy to see all of them despite it only having been a few hours, but he noticed the princess' solemn mood and thought it right to give her some optimistic words. "Hey, as long as we Wacha each other's backs, we'll be fine!"
What is your favorite drink? Can be alcoholic.

Iced tea, hands down. A super American thing, apparently? A very sweet, cold iced tea is just the best in my opinion. Emphasis on sweet. I don't generally enjoy "tea" in general, a sin to certain people I know, but a sweet fruity tea on ice is very nice~

What's something from your past some might consider embarrassing but you have fond memories of, or are proud of? A project or art piece maybe? Or an awkward first meeting with a friend, something like that?

I'm still around if you guys are, just been dealing with some stuff like everyone else these past few crazy days.

Despite Sam's best - or worst - intentions, and everyone's apparent assumption, Zak wasn't aiming for the potholes. Honest. Still, Sam's humor was infectious, and the red head couldn't help but start to nod along with the other man's countdown however short lived it was. The sound of the glass shattering didn't even seem to reach their driver's ears above the beats of the music, the bobbing of Zak's head to Sam's voice easily transitioning to follow the sound of the drums in the song.

His thoughts were half-focused on trying to recall the lyrics, and half on the road ahead. He didn't spare any glances into the vehicle's mirrors, figuring the rest of them could take care of themselves - or at the very least, a few of them could. Besides, there was no one else on the road at the moment. Very good luck for the squad of friends. Speaking of, Zak glanced over at Galahad again, intending to thank the blonde for snagging the truck for them in the first place, but just as he opened his mouth Sorin's voice cut through the rest of the noise.

"Already?" he asked, bemused. He turned his head to try and get a look, sending the truck right into yet another dip in the road. "Oh for the love of - " Thankfully Sam's magic helped a little, but it didn't stop the occupants from jostling a little. Honestly he thought it was only a matter of time before one of them got up to something like this, got hurt a bit, which was a reason he was grateful that Sorin tagged along with them even if Otto couldn't make it... but come on it had barely been half a day!

Zak scrutinized the suspended map. They were really close to Sappl Springs. It would probably be better if they could make it there before having to stop, even with an injury. He'd hate to get on Sorin's bad side but...

"Can you hold out a few more minutes? I'll punch it 'till we get to the next town. Just uh, hold on."

With a determined hum Zak shifted the gear stick and pressed his foot nearer to the floor, pushing the gas pedal with it. Couldn't keep the crew waiting after all.
