Went to an fan convention yesterday after a three year break from them. I forgot how much I love seeing people's creativity, and how fun making even a simple costume is!

If you're on my page, check out the RP World of Light! ___________________________________________________________________
Hello! I'm Yankee. I'm usually down for pretty much anything: action, adventure, romance, horror, taboo, comedy, smut, gore, slice-of-life, etc. I like cute, fun stories just as much as dark, gross, traumatic (for character) stories. I enjoy creating original characters for RP, but I get as much enjoyment writing as canon characters in fandom-based games! On that note I like comic books, cartoons, and videogames. I'm also very into cosplay and art!
I am a very slow writer, so my preferred posting pace is once per week or less. I usually post on weekends. I like to have fun while writing, so I prefer relaxed partners who don't take things too seriously. Remember: fiction =/= reality.
Feel free to PM me to chat! However I do not check PMs immediately. Might take me a day or two... or ten to get back to you.
@Psyker Landshark@PrankFox Moving in on ol Nor's territory eh? I see how it is that said, I don't mind major or minor league (might lean minor because I'm thinking he's a more recent gym leader), but will definitely fight for Hulbury!
Hey there Kuni! Hope you find what you're looking for. You might want to make an interest check in the 1x1 section, that's usually where I see niche ideas posted.
Here's mine, I'm adding onto the pile of males and I went a bit unorthodox regarding pokemon team so I understand if that's an issue, but here he is:
If you came here looking for an easy recipe for victory, you can piss off right now!
NAME: Nordrin Yasmar
AGE: 31
GENDER: Male
BIRTHPLACE: Hulbury
GYM TYPE: Gourmet
APPEARANCE:
Nordrin is blue eyed, and while he might joke (read: state with no hint of humor whatsoever) that the stress of dealing with idiots turned his hair white early, it's actually his natural color. He's been growing it out since he was young, and the more people chastise him to cut it the longer it stays uncut. He stands at 6 foot 2 inches (188cm) and though he was never able to pack on muscle as much as he would have liked, he keeps in good shape. Other than the flat resting bitch face he's known for, another trait that stands out about him is the coarse, scarred nature of his hands. They're evidence of a life of hard work.
PERSONALITY:
First impressions paint Nordrin as a man of little patience. That is completely correct. He is passionate, driven, and ambitious - he is also arrogant, and considers his time as extremely valuable. He works hard and doesn't have much extra time for playing hard, so if you're wasting his time he won't hesitate to tell you. Very often Nordrin comes off as a rude for a lot of people because he isn't afraid to speak his mind, no matter what's on it. It's landed him in hot water before, but Nordrin is nothing if not prideful. Since returning to Galar, he's also earned a bit of a reputation as a heart breaker - leaving a list of both men and women behind him to focus on his career. Being a more recent addition to the gym leader circuit, this might be all his fellow leaders know about him.
Growing up less fortunate, one might think that he does charity work to help others in situations he once faces. That is completely incorrect. He won't help anyone that doesn't try to help themselves and he doesn't do charity work. That said, he does take apprentices and gives out sponsorships. He gives everyone a chance to show they're hungry for more in life, and then gives them second and third chances so long as they don't give up. He will never turn a blind eye to those in need, but he has no sympathy for people who has given up on themselves.
Beyond all of the haughtiness and pride, it's clear that Nordrin has a gentle side, if only for his craft. He has a master's touch, and watching him cook or battle shows off just how much care he puts into both aspects of his life. He can be kind and nurturing for those under his care, but he isn't one to go easy on them. He wants to bring out the best in those around him, so that he can continue to evolve as well. He never stops chasing new heights.
The traits he most admires in others are adaptability, creativity, personal pride and most of all tenacity. His efforts in High Steaks Gym are intended to bring those out in others. After all, Nordrin is well aware that talent is not something you're born with, it's something you can grow - so it's up to everyone to give themselves the conditions in order to see that talent grow.
BIOGRAPHY:
In the sea side town of Hulbury, you're either a fat cat or a laborer. Luxury imports fuel the city's bustling tourism industry, where those with the means browse high end shops and restaurants. On the flip side, dock workers and street hawkers fill the city's underbelly and keep the whole of Hulbury moving with little recognition.
Nordrin came from a small family of Hulbury's less fortunate. Every day his father fulfilled orders and hauled meat, fruit, and vegetables from the shipyard up the steep hill to the better part of town. Back breaking work for little pay. Even just supporting a household of three was tough. At a young age, Nordrin took simple jobs to help his parents out. He worked as a delivery boy, Pokemon sitter, and stall worker. Once he was a bit holder, he landed his most impressionable job as a dish washer in the back of one of Hulbury's prestigious restaurants. Day in and day out he endured jabs from the chefs, patrons, and even waitstaff looking down on people like him.
Nordrin had talent, he was a quick study and adaptable. In down time he would try and replicate the dishes the cooks made, and some times he would even succeed. As one might expect, no one gave him the time of day. The chefs belittled him, and even his fellow cleaning staff didn't believe he could get anywhere. None of this stung as much as when Nordrin would return home at night, and the only thing his parents encouraged him to do was keep his head down and not make trouble. For Nordrin that was as good as a betrayal. They didn't have the ambition that he did, if they even had any at all. After one night of explosive anger in which Nordrin attacked the restaurant's annoying, pompous host, he was thrown out of the restaurant and fresh out of a job. Now a teenager, Nordrin channeled his anger into drive and left home with only a backpack and a quickly scrawled note. In his heart was a promise to return to Hulbury and prove everyone wrong. He was determined to make something of himself.
The world was dangerous to travel alone. It was more necessity than anything that Nordrin became a Pokemon trainer. He never gave anything less than a 100% though, so he took raising Pokemon seriously. He traveled briefly around Galar before stowing away on a ship bound for Kalos, where he spent a majority of his adult life studying both Pokemon battling and culinary arts. After years of hard work he exceeded in both fields, becoming an accomplished chef in a triple star restaurant and obtaining the rank of Duke in the region's Battle Chateau. His next stop in world domination was the Hoenn region, where he aimed to perfect the more unique techniques.
It was only relatively recently the Nordrin returned to Galar, taking Hulbury by storm. He opened his own restaurant and aggressively advertised it, stealing business from other establishments which he viewed as elitist and classist nuisances. His restaurant expanded to include a Pokemon gym once Nordrin's infamy spread around town and beyond. Now, he runs a brutal brutal brigade in the city's High Steaks Gym. The goal of the combination gym and restaurant is to nurture talent, challenge expectations, and provide high quality entertainment and food for patrons from all walks of life.
TEAM: Nordrin's team is very unorthodox compared to his fellow gym leaders. He believes it's important to think outside of the box, and so his wide variety of Pokemon with different strengths and weaknesses forces opponents to get creative when they battle him. Of course, every Pokemon in Nordrin's team is also under his employ, providing food or labor in his restaurant. A practical, tasty team.

Ames was close to giggling, watching the onis compete over the weapon she'd handed over. It was good that they were satisfied with it, and hopefully she could get away with not eating a ton of the bear meat now. After a brief message to the rest of the party, Raime advised her not to eat meat raw. It was too late for Mags but whatever. Ames didn't want to get sick in a freaking videogame. Her safety nibbles told her all she needed to know about the meat anyway: it was super fizzy and weird tasting.
Soon after the oni decided on which would take the halberd, they sliced up the meat and departed. Their leader seemed to be indicating for the two humans to follow them. Ames looked over at Magpie.
"We're gonna follow them, right?" she asked, already expecting that Mags would be down down for that. The demons were surprisingly nice, and judging from the wounds on their body - now healed - they were tough too. The screams of other Immortals sometimes echoed in the grove still, and a few of the comments from the rest of their separated party made it seem like the area was beyond dangerous... but that hadn't been her and Mags' experience so far. Sticking with the oni was probably a safe choice, as backward as that seemed.
So Ames picked up one of the hunks of meat, tossing the other to Magpie as she followed along after their much larger companions. There was no way she'd abandon a new, exotic friendship so quickly after all.
"I wonder if there's a language learning shortcut in the game, or you just have to do it the hard way," the warrior mused conversationally.
Today was the single most chaotic day in the Persian household since the family had first moved to Cloudgate. Food and fur were flying all around the small main room as five meowths chased each other around the breakfast table. Their mother would normally have kicked them all out of the house by now, but it was a special occasion. Persian watched her daughters laugh and fight while she tried to finish up her meal.
"It's today!" Nyatsuki shouted.
"Hey! You're messing up my fur!" Meowgan cried.
"You still owe me for that berry last week!" Nyacole said.
"The Fearsome Fivesome becomes the Fearsome Foursome!" Meowdelyn exclaimed.
The five balls of fur slowly ceased their play fighting until they were standing in a circle facing each other. Behind them the room was full of toppled stools, hairballs, and strewn about food. In front of them were four identical sisters, and one extra fuzzy - but equally beloved - Meowth.
"Oh yeah..." Nyatalie started, blinking around the circle at her siblings. "I'm not just gonna miss you guys, you're gonna miss me too."
"Who said anything about missing you?" Nyacole retorted, lifting her nose high into the air.
"She's just playing," Meowdelyn snickered, shoving Nyacole over. The other two sisters crowded close to Nyatalie and clung to her. "It's gonna be so weird with just the four of us! Can you visit us soon?"
"Yeah! I'll be part of a super famous rescue team and when I come back I'll tell you guys all about it!"
Finished with her breakfast, Persian shook the mess that landed on her fur off and stood up. Poor things, Nyatalie hasn't even left yet and they're already missing her, she thought. She padded over to the group of snuggling kittens and stuck her paw into the pile, pulling Nyatalie out of the bunch. "You all say goodbye and get upstairs and clean yourselves off," she instructed. The four sisters did so, waving as they scrambled up the steps. Persian looked down at Nyatalie, giving the girl a gentle smile before she went about grooming her.
"Mom! I'm not a kid, I can do it myself!" Nyatalie complained, but honestly it'd been a while since the last time her mother had taken the time to clean her up. For the feline type Pokemon like them, it was a welcome, familiar feeling. Now that Nyatalie had resolved to leave home and join and adventuring guild, she didn't know when the next time she'd be home was. The guild was in town, sure, but how busy would it be? Would they be sent on missions far away from Cloudgate for days at a time? Persian hushed her and just continued on until Nyatalie's fur was free of any imperfections. Once it was done, Nyatalie bundled up her excess fur in simple ribbons and presented herself to her mother for inspection, striking a pose as she did so.
"Wonderful," Persian laughed, sitting on her haunches and clapping her paws together. "You'll be just fine, Nyatalie."
"Of course!" Nyatalie beamed, her fangs shining. "I'm gonna make everybody proud!"
-+-+-+-
Once she'd made it to the guild, Nyatalie spent a few moments outside of the great castle-like building psyching herself up. She was a strong, independent, beautiful Meowth that didn't need no squad of troublesome sisters! Okay, let's go!
The first thing she noticed was all the Pokemon milling about. To one side of the room a small crowd started to form around something that smelled delicious, so needless to say Nyatalie made a Combee-line there. Most of her own breakfast had ended up on the floor or in her fur anyway.
"Good Meowning!" she said back to the Chimchar, giving him a wide smile. What a nice Pokemon! Most of the others nearby were on the quieter side it seemed though. A Poochyena, Croagunk, Bagon, Aron... Nyatalie took special note of the Shinx and Litten. Being fellow felines, maybe they would get along! The last Pokemon nearby was a Buneary, who was also the source of the nice smell.
"Yay! Free food!" Nyatalie reached into the basket and immediately shoved the bread into her mouth. It was delicious, but halfway through chewing the Meowth's eyes widened. She'd forgotten something very important. Quickly swallowing the food, she fixed the Buneary with a serious gaze. "...thank you!"
Simple question. Basically I don't like discord and don't use it. I won't start a debate here as to why, I just don't. But every thread I read here seems to require it by default. So like... the question begs it self.
A lot of the time, the discords are for chatting only. OOC talk, and ways to ask the GM questions and get a response faster than posting in the OOC tab of a thread. I've been here a little over a year and I haven't seen many RPs that require participation in the discord (although it's always encouraged).
Some RPs with more complex gimmicks make use of discords roles and channels which forum RPs can't really duplicate but they aren't the norm.
Speaking of joining games another question that I must ask is what's the etiquette on that? As far as I've gathered I am to look at interest pages but once the game starts in some way like an OOC thread or something that's it. I am asking because the rate of new games seems to be slow as in there are basically 2 interest checks going.
Like Bango said above, the actual RP threads will have a tag next to the name that says "apply," "jump in," or "full." If you don't mind jumping into a story already in progress, you can browse the RPs still open and/or accepting character applications.

"Oh, right, an airship. Heh." That was a good suggestion. It wasn't like the Cadet was unfamiliar with airships, but there was just so much ocean around that he hadn't even thought of them. Although he wondered if an airship would be able to weather the literal storms over their destination. Kamek's off-hand suggestion of giant birds was pretty intriguing alternative, but it seemed to be shot down immediately.
As the group made their way to the airship landing, they all chatted about their theories. Frankly, the Cadet himself had no clue. Magic was not even a thing where he was from, so what he knew of all that supernatural stuff was limited to what he'd experienced in the world of light. "Evil dimensions," "curses and spells" ... not really in his wheelhouse. Giant monsters yes, spooky ghost ships no.
"I'm sure we'll figure it out," he said, not letting his lack of mystical know-how bring him down. "And once we do, just point me in the culprit's direction!" He finished off his remark by swinging his hand in a chopping motion. At his feet, BB squealed loudly in approval.
Fortunately there were others ways in which the Cadet could help out: manual labor! He was pretty damn strong, so lugging a bunch of treasure back to Limsa would be a piece of cake.
"I'll tag along!" he volunteered, already heading in the same direction was Junior and Sakura. "I wanted to check on something back in Lumbridge anyway. Oh, and--" he turned back towards the rest of the group. "I vote for Shippy by the way. That thing was cool! Maybe it can even eat spirits like whatever they got up in the hatchery?" It was an outlandish suggestion, but even he hadn't missed the way Peach and the others looked at the navy girls and how easy they could fly across the water. Getting one of their spirits would be morally questionable, and buying some winged monster and fusing with it might produce some weird results - but maybe feeding it to Shippy might make it into an airship!
Not dawdling any longer, Cadet hurried after the other two and through the freshly painted portal courtesy of the koopa prince. Once back in Lumbridge, he bid them to go on ahead. "I'll meet you guys there, I'm just gonna check in with the smithy sisters first."
Ace Cadet made his way through the town, smiling and waving to all of the familiar faces. BB was faithfully at his heels. I guess that merchant wasn't kidding about these little guys following you around, huh? He couldn't help but make a quick detour to the Guild Hall to check in with the Guildmarm, maybe show the little behemoth off to her. Despite the "guild master" being gone, or maybe because he was gone, she was busier than ever unfortunately.
The forge was also seeing some business, and when the Cadet entered the establishment the middle sister Ramona was hard at work on a piece like she so often was. Though she didn't raise her head from the task at hand, Ramona noticed him come in and greeted the man with a grin.
"Hey, a hero returns! How's the prince doing?"
"Prince...? Oh, Euden?"
"Yeah. I'm sure you're all busy but it's been a while and Renee was getting worried."
"Um, who was getting worried?" The aforementioned Renee came out from one of their back rooms, giving her sister a look. The youngest smithy turned her attention to the Cadet, clearly eager to hear what he had to say about their prince either way.
"He's fine! We all split up but if I see him again I'll tell him to come say hi. Or better, you guys should come visit that city! It's so radalos!"
The siblings rolled their eyes, but they were glad to hear that Euden was well. Ramona finished shaping the piece she'd been hammering at and passed it off to Renee, who carefully took it into the room she'd come out from to begin the cooling process.
"So, you picking up? You wanna see what we made out of those tails, right?"
"Yes!" the Cadet chirped enthusiastically. Seeing the beautiful weapons and armor the craftsmen came up with was pretty much his favorite part of being a hunter. Well, the action was fun too, and helping people was great... but the gear though. His eyes were practically sparkling as Ramona laughed and went about collecting his commissions.
"Thanks for the extra materials you dropped off last time by the way, they went a long way," Ramona said as she sorted through the finished pieces. With protective clothes covering the items to differentiate them from the others for sale, Ramona laid out three on the counter. With no ceremony she unveiled the first item, an intricate looking hammer. It was unique and expertly crafted, but...
"Why's it so small?"
Ramona balked. "What do you mean?"
"It's a hammer meant for fighting, right? It looks amazing! But shouldn't it be like..." the hunter trailed off and spread his arms apart until they were practically stretched as far as they could go. "...???"
The blonde blacksmith stared at him for a few seconds before she scoffed. "Not everyone is used to those giant things. In fact you're probably the outlier. Trust me, that hammer is really strong. If you don't want it I'm sure we could make a pretty penny with it."
"Wait, I didn't say I didn't want it!" the Cadet said quickly, bringing his arms down abandoning that argument. He picked up the hammer and admired it up close. It was really cool, even if it was small. It fit snugly in the waist belt of his armor.
Ramona unveiled the remaining two items at once, one being a draconic looking headpiece and the other a beautifully dark long sword. The Cadet's eyes were drawn to the sword, and a giggle came from the other side of the room as he ogled it.
"Want to upgrade?" The voice belonging to the eldest sister Rena asked. She nodded at the scythe strapped to the Cadet's back. "Unless you think you can carry all that with you, we'd be glad to take that scythe off your hands."
It's not that I can't carry it all, but... the Cadet thought, furrowing his brows. He was physically strong enough to carry them all - every weapon he had right now were relatively lightweight compared to, say, a great sword or a chargeblade. However, carrying all of it and whatever else he came across would start to get cumbersome quickly. He drew the dark scythe from his back, looking over the blade. It was a really cool weapon, but that long sword on the table was magnificent. Man, I really need to get a storage place. Maybe they'll give me a permanent room at the Alcamoth? Until then... "Yeah, let's do it."
Scorpion Tail An incredibly strong hammer known as "The Scorpion" and "Scorpion Tail."
Gorgon Eye When a rod is equipped, increases skill damage. When attacking with a wind element rod, raises magical attack power and lowers skill cooldowns.
Nightsky Ripper "Miasma from the blade can block out the light of day, plunging the surrounding area into night. As this malevolent weapon writhes in the darkness, it paints the quiet night crimson." If the user is attuned to Shadow: increases defense when HP is 50% or above.
Thanking the sisters for their work and trading his Dark Scythe for the Nightsky Ripper, the Cadet and his minion went to join Junior and Sakura back at Peach's Castle. He stepped through the portal and made his way through the building, finding the treasury pretty easily thanks to the noise being made inside. He arrived just after the cart did, and he had to take a moment to admire the literal piles of treasure.
"Whoooa, this is like Kulve Taroth levels of gold," he commented. Welp, better get started. The Cadet dutifully grabbed the remaining burlap sacks and started shoveling gold into them. Thank goodness he downsized somewhat, the unwieldy shape of his previous longsword would have made throwing the bags over his shoulder very uncomfortable. BB snuffled around, eventually making his way onto the cart with a single golden ring hooked around one horn. He sat down in the treasure pile that was loaded onto the cart already and didn't look like he'd be moving any time soon.
At Sakura's comment, the Cadet chuckled. "I'm pretty strong too," he said, clearing downplaying himself. He had no doubt that Sakura was strong even though he hadn't gotten a chance to see her in action yet - she wore a skirt and short sleeves so her muscles were pretty clear to see. "We should have an arm wrestling contest some time!" he suggested, hefting a few of the bags and getting ready to venture back. "You in, Junior?"

The unfortunate news that the group lacked anyone experienced with healing had Primrose sighing. She'd foolishly assumed that with such a large and diverse group that at least one would be, but that was not the case. The dancer pulled out her dagger and reached down, cutting some of the fabric from the edge of her cloak away and into strips. Before Sectonia dismissed her antlions, Primrose crouched down beside one to collect some ice from it. The ice melted quickly in the desert heat, but that was what she wanted. She used the water to wash her wounds before she wrapped them as best she could, missing the firm but gentle touch of an experienced caregiver like that of Alfyn, or the immediate pain relief a cleric like Ophilia could provide.
Before her thoughts got anymore wistful, Primrose regarded her new companions. They were so different from the ones she'd come to know back in Orsterra... and getting even more different, she thought, watching Midna's transformation with a single eyebrow raised. It was certainly interesting to see that process firsthand. It gave Primrose the slightest bit of pause as she thought about her own plans to get stronger, but she buried that hesitant feeling as soon as it appeared.
Tora approached her, bouncing to get her attention, and Primrose smiled down at him. "Thank you," she said, her voice genuinely grateful. "It's nice to have someone appreciate the art for what it is." Primrose enjoyed dancing even now, in spite of the way she was brought into it. She was good at it too.
She let Tora take the Thunderblight spirit, and didn't ask about "Din," though she kept the name tucked away in her mind. She presumed that Din was another ally of theirs, that perhaps she'd meet one day.
As Tora went off to fiddle with Poppi, Primrose looked out across the desert. Those kids were all talking about a pyramid, some more animatedly than others, and Primrose thought she heard a few mentions of a "her" sprinkled into their conversation. Are they looking for someone? Attacking the camel was already a detour, even though it proved useful transport, but Primrose couldn't begrudge another detour if it was a chance to find a missing loved one. That would be cruel. She was silently glad when Midna announced that she was navigating the beast in the pyramid's direction. Midna herself came over soon enough, teasing just before offering some useful information.
"I suppose so," she agreed with a smirk. Another time she might have liked to play around with the imp a little more, but Midna's mention of recovery hearts and treasure chests piqued Primrose's interests. "As lovely as that sounds, I think I'll take the first option," she said. Before leaving she nodded to Sectonia, heeding her advice. 'Don't eat the tomatoes with an 'M' on them.'
The dancer raised a hand in farewell as she left the group, making her way into the belly of Naboris.
The inside was made of the same ceramic-like material as the rest of the beast, not that that came as a surprise. There were windows, ramps, and spirals all around. In some places there were small dark obelisks similar to the one Midna used to steer the creature, and Primrose wondered what they could be for. There was a shallow, rectangular indent at the base of them. Curious... Finding no way to interact with them, she moved on. Primrose explored a little more, walking up and down ramp and around corners, trying not to get turned around but the strangeness of the interior. Eventually she found the containers Midna must have been talking about. She approached it and touched the lid gingerly. Nothing seemed unusual, save for the chest's glowing... so she lifted the lid, finding a small bundle of arrows inside.
"..." Primrose didn't recall anyone in their group using a bow. Still, she took the arrows with her. The heads of them were wrapped in something that might be useful. She moved on, spotting a few more chests that she knew she'd never be able to reach on her own. Chests tucked away or on the ceiling, even one dangling from a rope over the desert at the tail end of the machine. This is quite the perplexing place, the dancer thought as she continued exploring. She'd have to tell the others to collect the other things she'd missed, especially those of the group that could fly.
In the end Primrose was only able to open one other chest, the rest out of her reach. She was rewarded with topaz for her troubles, and on her way back she visited one last room, a rather large one off of what she expected was the main chamber of Naboris. Inside, at the very center, was something suspiciously heart-shaped. The recovery heart? Primrose went over to it, and when she took it and held it in her hands the heart container shattered, releasing whatever magic made it work into the room. Instantly the sting of the cuts on her arms faded away. Primrose blinked. It broke... I didn't think I was that rough with it. With the pain of her injuries gone, she unwrapped her makeshift bandages and saw that, indeed, her wounds were healed. Recovery heart indeed.
Primrose emerged from the innards of Naboris just as the machine was setting down. It looked like they'd reached their destination.
"There are still quite a few containers down there," Primrose mentioned, showing off the arrows she'd found (though she kept the topaz for herself). If any of the more nimble or flight capable among them wanted, they could clean out the beast before they left it. As for whether to help the thieves or not, and how do so...
"It seems like they're looking for a lost friend," Primrose said. She had no concrete proof that what she said was true, but she felt that it was. "I'd like to help them."
However... The dancer looked out across the lake at the battle going on, too hard to make out from where they were with normal human eyes. She wondered if those people would stop to attack the giant machine when they were already attacking each other. Even if they did attack, the great camel had already proved very resilient. Even when they'd taken it down earlier, it seemed none the worse for wear. Plus, moving through a battlefield could be very dangerous... on the flip side, like Joker mentioned, it could also be an easy way to pick up spirits. Primrose could be sneaky, stealthy even, but she was no thief or assassin. Being a dancer, she was better at standing out, not blending in... but if the fighters across the lake were focused on each other's colors, it might still be possible.
"Hm. A tough decision." Primrose mulled over it a few moments longer, closing her eyes and crossing her arms. "Perhaps getting as close as possible in the construct is best."
Ultimately, it was up to the group as a whole, but Primrose decided to cast her vote for stomping through the middle of the fight on the machine. They would be a walking target, yes, but she thought it would be relatively safer than going on foot. Perhaps once they were finished inside they could still go about collecting any fallen fighters too.
Appearance: Nyatalie is a totally normal Meowth! Sure, her brown spots might be really dark, her fur might grow in really fast and stays shaggy no matter how much she grooms it, and her coin might be the dullest you've ever seen... but otherwise, she's exactly the same as the rest of her sisters! Nyatalie does her very best to appear clean and presentable, especially in public. She has a bushy, cream colored coat that she keeps in check with various ribbons and ties. Her teeth and claws are really sharp, and the dark parts of her fur are black as ink. Don't point out that the coin on her head is dark, she's sensitive about it.
Personality: Rambunctious and energetic. Once Nyatalie gets some momentum it's hard to stop her. However, she herself tries to rein in her energy. She tries to stick as close to the traditional depiction of Meowth as possible. Prim, proper, cute, polite. She finds it extremely hard to do so. A lot of the time she'll second guess herself, take something back, or restart something to do it "the right way." She is clumsy but always takes responsibility if something happens. Although her confidence level isn't the highest, she is a firm believer in "fake it 'til you make it."
Short Biography: During the confusion of the mass refugee migration heading North to Cloudgate, a certain Persian found that once she and her family were safe inside the city, suddenly her four daughters had become five. At some point while the family was fleeing the Shade, they'd picked up another child. The mysterious kid was all covered in dirt and grime, but she looked and sounded just like a Meowth. When the Persian cleaned the kitten up, she found it looked like a Meowth too. While the Persian spent some time looking for the child's real family, they never turned up, and so the Persian adopted the Meowth and raised it as her own. Of course, this mysterious Meowth was Nyatalie.
Growing up in Cloudgate was pretty fun, when you're part of a family of five rambunctious sister-cats on the prowl. The Meowth sisters went everywhere together, and they liked to think they owned their little neighborhood. Their mother found steady work as a groomer and masseuse, calming the stressed out citizens and refugees of the town, so their family never had to worry about going hungry or keeping a roof over their head. Mom often said that Nyatalie was their good luck charm, because after losing their previous home they'd found a new one and a new family member.
Now as much as she didn't want to admit it, deep down Nyatalie knew that she wasn't exactly a normal Meowth. She did look a bit different from her sisters. During the odd times when the siblings would fight, sometimes they would make low blows and point out these differences in detail. After all, their mother and the other four sisters all had sleek and shiny fur. Nyatalie's fur was coarse and grew too fast to easily tame. While they found it easy to appear graceful, elegant and aloof, Nyatalie always had an abundance of energy that made it hard to even sit still. Plus the coin on her head, the pride and joy of all Meowth, was completely lackluster. Those fights hurt the most. Once hitting her "teenage" years, Nyatalie began to feel more and more like she didn't belong, despite her mother's words promising otherwise.
When Nyatalie read the posting for a new adventurer's guild, she snatched the paper up and brought it home. Maybe her "unique strengths," as her family put it, could be best utilized as part of a rescue team? Her mother and sisters unanimously supported this plan, figuring that Nyatalie could not only put her energy to good use, but also gain some inner confidence she sorely needed. With their blessings, she made her way to Sunlurch Square the next morning.
Move Set: Growl, Fake Out, Hone Claws, Metal Claw
Equipment: Absolutely nothing! (At the moment)
Other: She doesn't know she is a "Galarian" Meowth, so she 100% believes she will someday evolve into a Persian when she's ready.

Hello! I'm Yankee.
I'm usually down for pretty much anything: action, adventure, romance, horror, taboo, comedy, smut, gore, slice-of-life, etc.
I like cute, fun stories just as much as dark, gross, traumatic (for character) stories. I enjoy creating original characters for RP,
but I get as much enjoyment writing as canon characters in fandom-based games!
