@IncredibleBee guards that got doused backed off and people behind them took their place. Ones that weren't completely covered in it dropped the soaked cloth off of them.
For the lightning. The guardsmen mages only immediatly stopped the wind, the lightning hit but spearmen used their weapons as lightning rod to stop it from hitting the bulk of them before it could be dispelled.
@Shisa I'm sorry. I actually did realize that it didn't really handle the whole ordeal right a bit after I made the first post about it.
I had worked this out with Game before. I don't remember seeing that we had a plan for a group to not go with the princess, so this guard raid was going to catch some people then the second group would be off to rescue them.
Though I don't know what exit you're referring to. Beside a small escape tunnel the only way out was the way the guards came in...
As Sergei's molotov hit the front the guards as the came through the gate any that took the brunt of it backed off to try and extinguish themeselves and any that only had parts of their uniform burning simply dropped the cloth parts off their armor, as the mercenary made his taunt about tests of endurance they where already forming a shield wall and advancing through the flames again.
They were slowed again by Avad's magic but the majority of his efforts were thwarted by the fact that Valstand had more than one Royal battlemage, almost as soon as the winds started they were snuffed before they could cause much disruption and several of the guards held up their spears as lightning rods to prevent the lightning from wreaking to much havoc among them with their mages worked to dispell those clouds as well
While those were still valiant efforts it was pure folly to try for the cart, as in the enclosed estate the only way out was currently through a small army of guardsmen. Though Vert did cause some slight hesitation, as a few of the guards stopped in confusion for a moment before realizing what she was. With crossbowmen taking aim again and the area in which Steve, George, and the cart had to move was being gradually closed off by spearpoint, things weren't exactly looking up.
From nearby the voice of Wledic, that Captain of the royal guard, rang out "Throw down your weapons! you've no hope of getting out from here" He was standing on the same platform Ian had been on earlier to get of view of the group, it also gave him notice of Avad "Avadodren Ichen Onem, you of all people should know how foolish it would be to fight back now!" Ian had gone around and opened the hidden hatch to a tunnel dug out for, well, this very reason. both Tahra and Logan had followed him at least and he carefully set Jaques unconscious body down before looking back. He had expected that more of them would follow him to escape instead of trying to take on the Royal-bloody-guard head-on. Well, he supposed that the silver lining would be that they made a good distraction. Between the action of that skirmish and the mansion now beginning to catch fire he wasn't going to wait any longer, hopping down and sealing the hatch behind him. In response to a questioning look from Tahra he just shrugged his shoulders and held up his hands. This most certainly complicated things.
Name: Andre Gyrai Age: 36 Personality: As one of the few people left in the wasteland with medical expertise, one usually wants him around regardless of what they think of him but, thankfully, he is an easy person to be around, not often trying for pointless conversation and always having a calm, if not mildy jovial, demeanor. Weapons:
Oddly enough having medical experience actually helps with Andre's marksmanship, aside from actually being able to hit something, it helps to know where to hit it to put it down.
Vehicle:
More fitting to a crew, This vehicle has been heavily modified: extra storage, armor, mounted weapons, a bit of decoration to make it more intimidating, and even a small crane on the back. In terms of speed it may not be the fastest thing but it can still keep up with most other vehicles and once it gets rolling it's very difficult to stop it.
Bio: Andre started out on the East coast, arriving off a boat that beached itself in Boston Harbor when the shortage of supplies caused one to many conflicts. He and about three others got the idea to leave the wreck and the rest of the survivors behind and try to survive out in the American wasteland, modifying an army truck as their vehicle to get around. They wandered for quite a while, living like nomads and trading either goods or their various skillsets for supplies. Over time the others began to drop, either by dying, heading off on some other venture, or getting tired of travelling and deciding to settle down at the next stop. This eventually left Andre alone with the truck.
The loneliness and constant travel, along with having to fend off a few raider attacks on his own, eventually wore on him as well, and When he got to the next settlement, a place called The Iron Shelter, he decided this would be where he stopped, offering medical expertise in return for a place to stay. He would later join sentry, acting as support for their patrols.
@ROADWARRIOR Not sure if ya missed me or not but I'm just gonna call attention to myself again anyway
uh, Hi
