1: So, as you explained, those around her will have an innate power boost compared to ordinary highschool girls, which she is. Her power isn't at a level where she's much stronger than an ordinary girl of her age, since she relies on dire circumstances and consecutive victories to obtain the power others have just be contracting.

2: That is the point. She will become stronger as time goes on and she obtains more and more glory.

3: Her power is not useless, if somebody attempts to cheat or lie about the results of a contest or battle, she can prove in an undeniable manner that Mikoto succeeded, thus guaranteeing the boost to Glory, where otherwise she would have failed.

Concerning Xander: Hmm, I see what you mean, as it does make him rather powerful. Would it be all right if I remove the enhanced reflexes and speed, regulating those to his natural human talent that he's trained himself in, but keep the other two powers? Also, Adrasteia is the alternate name of Nemesis that means "The inescapable one." That is why the teleportation/Omniscience.

Concerning Maya: What exactly does "nerfed" mean? Does it mean powered down? Also, the paralysis would only equal an instant win if she was fighting one on one and was also able to make eye contact in the first place. During fast paced battles there isn't much room for staring another person in the eye, and if anyone else was there they could easily break eye contact by simply walking between the two. I see what you mean about the eternal sleep being an instant win, but as I stated in the CS, Nyx would only use that particular ability if she believed that the person was too dangerous to be allowed to, well, live. That would be regulated only to truly evil characters. Since I doubt any of the players will be playing all out evil characters, it shouldn't be an issue there, but rather would be more useful against very evil NPCs. That being said, it wouldn't be fun if she could take out every evil NPC with it either. As for the broad sleep, that only lasts for a few hours, but once again I see your point. Perhaps I could make it so that it takes a little while to gather enough mana to use her sleep powers, which would mean she could not do so in the middle of battle or she would risk being attacked/ interrupted so she has to start over. Is that acceptable?

Name: Garoth Elrond
Age: 17
Appearance:
Personality: A calm and stoic individual, he's not one to cause trouble. However, neither does he run from it. He has a strong sense of justice and will often stick his neck out to help those that are in a jam. While it takes him a while to open up to new people, those that earn his trust will be hard pressed to find a more loyal friend.
Clubs: He has been fickle with clubs and often drops in and out of several each year. Currently, he is involved with a poetry club, but is thinking of dropping out.
Brief Backstory: Not much notable in his past, but that's ok. Garoth prefers to look to the future rather than dwell in the past.
Contract(s): Brightwing

Contracted Being
Name: Brightwing
Type: Griffin
Personality: Proud and regal, yet unconditionally loyal. Brightwing looks down on most humans, seeing them as only marginally better than the rats he preys on. His sense of duty, though, has him go to any and all lengths to aid his contractor.
Powers: Brightwing grants his contractor a powerful claw strike that can rend metal, as well as a vice-like grip that can crush all but the hardest substances. In addition, he grants incredible eyesight, allowing Garoth to read a newspaper from across a football field.
Fusion: In the fused form, Garoth's hands become as eagle claws, his eyes become a bright yellow, his hair becomes white, and he grows a pair of shimmering wings out of his back. Garoth gets a 50% boost to his eyes and claws, gains the ability to fly, and gains incredible aerial speed and agility. His wings can reflect and amplify any light; he can temporarily illuminate dim areas, or can release a blinding flash of light in open sunlight.
Summon: His appearance is as in the picture above, but with shimmering white wings. He has all the abilities of the Fusion form, but with even more powerful claws, superior aerial abilities, and a beak that can grind diamonds to a fine powder. Do not be fooled by his human size, or lack of fame; though the muses never sang of him to mortals, he could easily tangle with the great beasts of lore.

@edboy: Alright, I'll need a bit of time to look through it.

@Kael: Honestly, those two powers are still a bit worrying. Would making the teleportation take time, but perhaps allowing him to teleport anywhere he's been in the past 24 hours as well as anywhere he can see be acceptable? This way, it can still be used to follow someone, but doesn't render him basically untouchable in a fight. As for the other power, would knowing the location of a person they consider to have done wrong and having a general idea of their surroundings be acceptable?

Yes, that's what nerfed means. More often than not, battles in these kinds of settings seem to come down to 1 on 1 duels, so that's not likely to be an issue. As for making eye contact, it's been a while since I did any martial arts training, but I remember being told to try to maintain eye contact with an opponent, in part to know where they're likely to attack and in part so they don't know where you're going to attack. Frankly, I'm not sure that power could be balanced, given the setting.

As far as the sleep stuff goes, making it take time would be a good start, but...I'd also recommend making the area of effect for the larger much smaller, since without even talking in terms of how powerful knocking out the entire city is, or how awkward it would be to RP, there are a lot of unpleasant implications (Driving? Taking a bath? There's a good chance you won't wake up). I'd say...basically, make it she can put one person to sleep for sure or she can do an area of effect version, maybe limited to the immediate area she's in, which could put normal people to sleep with no problem, but which contractors would have a chance of resisting.

@ruronihs: Looks good to me. Accepted.

@Psyga: Well, for now at least, there's no real limit aside from what people feel comfortable playing...so long as we don't end up with a player just RPing with themself the whole time.

Question about the summoning. Do the characters have to use that elaborate ritual every time they call their contracted being? Do they need an elaborate ritual for the fusion to happen?

W.I.P.

Name: Shiro Mazino
Age: 15
Appearance:

Personality: How does your character act? I don't expect a full essay, but at least a couple of sentences would be appreciated.
Clubs: Martial Arts Club (Wants to learn Martial Arts), Kendo Club
Contract(s): Baru

Contracted Beings:
Name: "My name has long been forgotten by mortal beings, so you can call me Baru"
Type: God (Claims to be)
Personality: Baru has very little care for what goes on in the mortal worlds, or any world for that matter. He hardly even cares for Shiro. Baru only cares for Shiro in three ways. Which are for Shiro to remain alive and for Shiro to get stronger, so that he could offer up stronger beings for Baru to absorb, which leads to the third and most important reason. Bound by his contract, Shiro must offer up souls of monsters, gods or any other worldly beings to Baru. The only way to offer up these souls is by slaying them with his blade. He merely uses Shiro to further his own goal, whatever that may be. However, the two still seem to have a somewhat friendly relationship, having normal conversations here and there. Baru even teases Shiro, whether it involves his love life or his weakness.
Powers: Unlike the majority of all of the other contracts, Baru instead drained the majority of Shiro's physical capabilities and ended up weakening Shiro. Thanks to this, Shiro's physical capabilities is below that of the average high school student and more around the strength of a middle school student. However, Baru doesn't want Shiro to be completely useless and weak, he does need Shiro afterall. In return for draining all of Shiro's strength, Baru has granted Shiro darkness magic, basic fire magic, and a giant magical sword, which Shiro can't even wield unless in his fusion form.
Fusion: How do they look when they've combined with the contractor? What powers do they have in this state?
Summon:
"What? Were you expecting a high and mighty looking monster or somethin'? Well, this isn't even my real form!"

Baru has 1 form, but he is bound to this world in 2 ways, which gives him an upper hand over other beings contracted into this world. In order to send Baru back to where he came from, both his body and Shiro's sword must be broken. Baru's current form and by himself is rather weak, the only real abilities has is the ability to fly. But when he drains mana from Shiro, his true abilities begin to surface.

Chains That Bound the Titans: The first ability he gains is the ability to conjure multiple, black serrated and sharp chains from the ground.. These chains are incredibly hard and heat resistant. These chains can also extend to great lengths and chase down their targets until

Soul of Apollo: The second ability he gains is the ability to control and summon up multiple small balls of intensely bright and hot light. These small orbs represent the Sun and all bear incredible heats

Chaos Rise: The third ability he gains from draining mana from Shiro is a unique Darkness type magic. Rather than being the usual controlling the shadows, Baru conjures up a destructive and pitch black energy, emmitting black sparks of energy

Anti: His final ability, or rather Shiro's last ability which he can grant Baru. With this skill

However, Baru is incapable of using any of these skills as of now. Both Shiro's physical and magical skills are too low for Baru to use any of them.

And... done.

Human
Name: Martin Quincy
Age: 17
Appearance: Err… sorry. I kind of zoned out. W-what did you say, again?
Personality: Martin is… well, a bit of a quirky kid. An introvert and a daydreamer, he often acts as though he lives in his own thoughts, and is prone to making unusual (though usually understandable) remarks on a moment or situation. Even so, he isn’t scatterbrained enough to know that what he says is strange; he’s a bit embarrassed by it, in fact and it is not uncommon for him to retract his words with a nervous or anxious stutter.

Though not shy in any way, he isn’t the kind to start a conversation; rather, he enjoys listening to others stories, grinning at their unusual accounts and ramblings, and sharing his own stories if the conversation allows it. If the topic has anything to do with technology or inventions, though, expect Martin to ramble. Engineering is practically his life, and he is constantly researching, studying, and creating his own machinery and inventions in his spare time. This passion, combined with his willingness to help out his friends whenever he can, makes him one of the best repairmen in the school – provided his overly-excited explanations on the inner workings of machines don’t grind any gears.

With his quirky and carefree attitude, Martin tends to come off as being rather harmless or gullible. However, everyone has a dark side, and Martin is no exception. When it comes to dealing with confrontation, Martin is especially cunning, able to easily read others emotions and use his reputation and his knowledge of machinery to his advantage. He is also surprisingly secretive, careful to keep information about himself and his background hidden. To be fair, this manipulation is not without reason; having been lied to before, Martin has little trust even in his closest friends, making it difficult for anyone to truly get close to him.
Clubs: Security Team, Engineering & Robotics Club
Contract(s): Byte the Poltergeist

Contract
Name: Byte
Type: Poltergeist
Personality: Byte is a ball of energy – in more ways than one. A hyper and poltergeist with a penchant for pulling pranks, Byte can hardly stay in one place for more than a few minutes, hopping from focus to focus like a candy-crazed toddler. He’s loud, (singing and shouting are his only two volumes), gluttonous, (stealing food from the fridge is practically and habit), mischievous (sending objects flying across the room is his specialty), and messy (he tends to make every room he enters look like the scene of a robbery.) Truly, he is a child in spirit form.

And yet, for some reason or another, Byte is one of Martin’s closest friends. Maybe it’s because of the summon’s curiosity, and its shared passion for all things mechanical. Maybe it’s the poltergeist’s goofy sense of humor, which, while annoying at times, has its moments. Or maybe it’s because Byte is one of the most loyal and caring summons Martin has ever seen, the kind that would take a bullet for its contractor without a second thought. Whatever reason it may be, it is great enough for Martin to look past Byte’s shortcomings, as obnoxious as they tend to be.

Powers:

  • Telekinesis – Martin is able to move objects of almost any size and weight with his mind. These objects need to be within a few meters of his location (about the distance between the front and back of a classroom.)

  • Electronic Disruption – As a byproduct of his telekinetic abilities, Martin can activate and disrupt electronic devices nearby, causing them to turn on by themselves, perform operations, or malfunction. As with telekinesis, these electronic devices need to be within a few meter of Martin’s location.

  • Phasing – Additionally, Martin is able to briefly phase through physical objects as though he were a ghost, (enough to phase through a wall or a piece of furniture). While in this state, Martin is unaffected by physical objects and attacks, but takes more damage from magical and other energy-based attacks.

Fusion: When fused with Byte, Martin gains the properties of Byte’s wraith-like form, becoming ethereal in nature. In this state, the lower half of Martin’s body appears to fade into a wisp-like , spirit-like form, and all of Martin’s features – his clothes, his skin – dull into a two-dimensional, glitchy silhouette. His face, meanwhile, becomes something out of a horror flick, a featureless set of transparent circles and a wide, cartoon-ish grin, and his voice seems to reverberate with both his and Byte’s voices. Ghostly, static-like particles float around him, bouncing chaotically into each other, and causing his own appearance to fizzle as though it were static on a TV screen. But perhaps the most unsettling feature of this form is not its appearance, but its personality. In this fusion Byte and Martin’s conflicting personalities combine, resulting in a chaotic, manic temperament prone to dramatic shifts in mood and excitability.

Powers in this state:

  • Enhanced Telekinesis – Combined with Byte, Martin is able of controlling several objects at once, causing them to float, fly, and crash into nearby enemies as though part of some chaotic maelstrom. These object still need to be in his vicinity, but can be pulled from a few rooms away, (about the area of a high-school stadium)

  • Electronic Disruption – Just as in his non-fused state, Martin is capable of activating and disrupting electronic devices. However, due to the chaotic nature of his fused form, all electronic devices near him will malfunction and act randomly; he is entirely unable to control what any specific device will do.

  • Object Possession – Martin can enter and object and possess it, either to hide from, defend from, or attack a nearby opponent. The possessed object becomes significantly more difficult to break or destroy (especially by magic), and is capable of unleashing small bursts of energy thanks to Byte’s power.

  • Enhanced Phasing – Martin is also capable of remaining in a phased state for significantly longer (enough to cross a high-school stadium). Just as before, physical objects and attacks phase through him, but magical attacks do significantly more damage.

Summon: Hey! Listen! Imma roar like a dinosaur! You’re listening, right? RAAAAAWWR~!

As Byte is a spirit rather than a physical entity, he doesn’t have a form easily seen by humans. The best way to spot his presence (other than checking for flying household appliances) is to look for the glitchy, purple-ish aura that appears out of the object he’s possessing when he uses his powers. His favorite object appears to be Martin's stuffed dinosaur from childhood, Nibbles, which he possesses whenever Martin in holed up in his room.

Powers in this form:

  • Enhanced Telekinesis – Like in it fused form, Byte can cause dozens of objects to spontaneously begin flying around the room at hurricane speeds, and can pull them from up to a few rooms away.

  • Electronic Disruption – It can also activate and disrupt any electronic devices nearby. Unlike in its fused form, however, it can actually control what these electronic devices do, and prevent them from malfunctioning randomly.

  • Object Possession – Byte is rarely out in the open, feeling most at home when it has an object to possess. This object, like in its fused form, increases in strength, durability, and magic resist, and is capable of unleashing small bursts of energy.

  • Undead Phasing – As Byte is a spirit, he is constantly in a phase-like form, cannot be harmed by physical objects, attacks, and ailments, and consistently takes extra damage from magic and other energy-based attacks.
