And... done.
HumanName: Martin Quincy
Age: 17
Appearance: Err… sorry. I kind of zoned out. W-what did you say, again? Personality: Martin is… well, a bit of a quirky kid. An introvert and a daydreamer, he often acts as though he lives in his own thoughts, and is prone to making unusual (though usually understandable) remarks on a moment or situation. Even so, he isn’t scatterbrained enough to know that what he says is strange; he’s a bit embarrassed by it, in fact and it is not uncommon for him to retract his words with a nervous or anxious stutter.
Though not shy in any way, he isn’t the kind to start a conversation; rather, he enjoys listening to others stories, grinning at their unusual accounts and ramblings, and sharing his own stories if the conversation allows it. If the topic has anything to do with technology or inventions, though, expect Martin to ramble. Engineering is practically his life, and he is constantly researching, studying, and creating his own machinery and inventions in his spare time. This passion, combined with his willingness to help out his friends whenever he can, makes him one of the best repairmen in the school – provided his overly-excited explanations on the inner workings of machines don’t grind any gears.
With his quirky and carefree attitude, Martin tends to come off as being rather harmless or gullible. However, everyone has a dark side, and Martin is no exception. When it comes to dealing with confrontation, Martin is especially cunning, able to easily read others emotions and use his reputation and his knowledge of machinery to his advantage. He is also surprisingly secretive, careful to keep information about himself and his background hidden. To be fair, this manipulation is not without reason; having been lied to before, Martin has little trust even in his closest friends, making it difficult for anyone to truly get close to him.

Contract(s): Byte the Poltergeist
ContractName: Byte
Type: Poltergeist
Personality: Byte is a ball of energy – in more ways than one. A hyper and poltergeist with a penchant for pulling pranks, Byte can hardly stay in one place for more than a few minutes, hopping from focus to focus like a candy-crazed toddler. He’s loud, (singing and shouting are his only two volumes), gluttonous, (stealing food from the fridge is practically and habit), mischievous (sending objects flying across the room is his specialty), and messy (he tends to make every room he enters look like the scene of a robbery.) Truly, he is a child in spirit form.
And yet, for some reason or another, Byte is one of Martin’s closest friends. Maybe it’s because of the summon’s curiosity, and its shared passion for all things mechanical. Maybe it’s the poltergeist’s goofy sense of humor, which, while annoying at times, has its moments. Or maybe it’s because Byte is one of the most loyal and caring summons Martin has ever seen, the kind that would take a bullet for its contractor without a second thought. Whatever reason it may be, it is great enough for Martin to look past Byte’s shortcomings, as obnoxious as they tend to be.
Powers:
- Telekinesis – Martin is able to move objects of almost any size and weight with his mind. These objects need to be within a few meters of his location (about the distance between the front and back of a classroom.)
- Electronic Disruption – As a byproduct of his telekinetic abilities, Martin can activate and disrupt electronic devices nearby, causing them to turn on by themselves, perform operations, or malfunction. As with telekinesis, these electronic devices need to be within a few meter of Martin’s location.
- Phasing – Additionally, Martin is able to briefly phase through physical objects as though he were a ghost, (enough to phase through a wall or a piece of furniture). While in this state, Martin is unaffected by physical objects and attacks, but takes more damage from magical and other energy-based attacks.
Fusion: When fused with Byte, Martin gains the properties of Byte’s wraith-like form, becoming ethereal in nature. In this state, the lower half of Martin’s body appears to fade into a wisp-like , spirit-like form, and all of Martin’s features – his clothes, his skin – dull into a two-dimensional, glitchy silhouette. His face, meanwhile, becomes something out of a horror flick, a featureless set of transparent circles and a wide, cartoon-ish grin, and his voice seems to reverberate with both his and Byte’s voices. Ghostly, static-like particles float around him, bouncing chaotically into each other, and causing his own appearance to fizzle as though it were static on a TV screen. But perhaps the most unsettling feature of this form is not its appearance, but its personality. In this fusion Byte and Martin’s conflicting personalities combine, resulting in a chaotic, manic temperament prone to dramatic shifts in mood and excitability.
Powers in this state:
- Enhanced Telekinesis – Combined with Byte, Martin is able of controlling several objects at once, causing them to float, fly, and crash into nearby enemies as though part of some chaotic maelstrom. These object still need to be in his vicinity, but can be pulled from a few rooms away, (about the area of a high-school stadium)
- Electronic Disruption – Just as in his non-fused state, Martin is capable of activating and disrupting electronic devices. However, due to the chaotic nature of his fused form, all electronic devices near him will malfunction and act randomly; he is entirely unable to control what any specific device will do.
- Object Possession – Martin can enter and object and possess it, either to hide from, defend from, or attack a nearby opponent. The possessed object becomes significantly more difficult to break or destroy (especially by magic), and is capable of unleashing small bursts of energy thanks to Byte’s power.
- Enhanced Phasing – Martin is also capable of remaining in a phased state for significantly longer (enough to cross a high-school stadium). Just as before, physical objects and attacks phase through him, but magical attacks do significantly more damage.
Summon: Hey! Listen! Imma roar like a dinosaur! You’re listening, right? RAAAAAWWR~! As Byte is a spirit rather than a physical entity, he doesn’t have a form easily seen by humans. The best way to spot his presence (other than checking for flying household appliances) is to look for the glitchy, purple-ish aura that appears out of the object he’s possessing when he uses his powers. His favorite object appears to be Martin's stuffed dinosaur from childhood, Nibbles, which he possesses whenever Martin in holed up in his room.
Powers in this form:
- Enhanced Telekinesis – Like in it fused form, Byte can cause dozens of objects to spontaneously begin flying around the room at hurricane speeds, and can pull them from up to a few rooms away.
- Electronic Disruption – It can also activate and disrupt any electronic devices nearby. Unlike in its fused form, however, it can actually control what these electronic devices do, and prevent them from malfunctioning randomly.
- Object Possession – Byte is rarely out in the open, feeling most at home when it has an object to possess. This object, like in its fused form, increases in strength, durability, and magic resist, and is capable of unleashing small bursts of energy.
- Undead Phasing – As Byte is a spirit, he is constantly in a phase-like form, cannot be harmed by physical objects, attacks, and ailments, and consistently takes extra damage from magic and other energy-based attacks.
