Abilities
Threshed Soul -The physical form of Bala Ghed has been torn from this dimension and his soul thrown across time and space. Rather then adopting magic, he has become a form of magic, doomed to roam the cosmos shifting from reality to reality. It was the birth of magic in this world that brought his existence here. The fabric of his being is unstable, and could scatter in moments or millennia. The longer his being exists in one place, the more whole he becomes. Due to the effects each reality has had on his traveling soul, it is unknown how Bala Ghed will manifest, however he cannot exist without a physical medium. Some kind of item or entity for Bala Ghed to hold onto while his soul desperately searches for stabilization.
Convergence - Bala Ghed's first contact with any dimension sets of a spacial ripple effect leading to his materialization. Once this occurs, he gains properties and abilities attributed to that which he has materialized as. These traits will grow and evolve as his existence in this reality stabilizes. If Convergence completes, Bala Ghed will become anchored to this reality in his form and will cease his evolution.
Apep - Aristocrat. Serpent. The reign of venom. Properties of chaos or darkness, adopted by energies of the living, or a single individual, materialize within Bala Ghed's soul during Convergence. Madness within the soul can grow, be tamed, harnessed, embraced, or purified.
Nidhogg - Glory and Valor. Dragon. Avatar of war. Bala Ghed materializes amidst the energies of conflict, causing his soul to take on the rage and pride of the living.
Cerberus - Guardian. Hound. Jackal. The multiple headed beast. The soul cannot find stability in a single form, and thus Bala Ghed splits into up to three different entities, each gaining unique traits all rooted from the original soul. Each manifestation of Bala Ghed will continue Convergence.
Quetzalcoatl - The End. Harbinger. Devourer. The great maw. As simple as a cell, Bala Ghed may materialize as the smallest of entities, but may always have the potential to grow. When the soul cannot reach Convergence, this growth can get out of hand, and Bala Ghed loses is individuality to become legion.
Thanatos - Son of Night. Compassion of the darkness. The sleep. The soul takes on the pain and sorrows of the living. Bala Ghed materializes as a beacon to those that hold pain in their hearts, and grows to be a guardian or executioner of sadness throughout Convergence.
Dominus - Once Convergence is complete, and Bala Ghed's soul becomes Stable, he loses the ability to become anything else. His state becomes final and his soul is bound to it's form. It is in this state that his power is full and his new abilities take shape.

Other - It started with a man in a time of steel and magic. Despite poverty and war, he raised a family and a farm under kingdom rule. Unfortunately, it was war that took his family in the dark of night. The armies of the enemy kingdoms took men as slaves for labor and spared no women or children. Enslaved for years, the man that lost everything found him self broken and beaten, working day and night beneath boot and whip, building war machines and weapons of destruction. But through his blank existence peaked a glimmer of one last emotion. The last will and testament to who he was. It was his rage. The familiar face of revenge sent him into a fury, breaking his bonds and slaughtering those that slaughtered his reality. With nothing to lose and only one thing on his mind, he used the machines he built against his captors and found his own destruction. His act weakened the kingdom just enough to be overcome and the war was over. Despite it it all, his soul went on, driven by the same hatred and sorrow, doomed never to find peace. Time passed and as the land changed, so did his soul. Refusing to pass to the next world, his essence became tainted and tattered. Just as he was on the verge of fading away, his soul was drawn in along with masses of other lost souls. A magi of great power and madness wielded the ocean of souls and weaved them into a great spell to create a god. The spell was beyond him however, and the magi was consumed. The energy indeed formed into a single entity but it was no god. Instead it was a monstrosity that roamed the land and caused fear and destruction. Still, within the beasts mind were the minds of many, and the man. His rage mixed with the love, sorrow, humor, hate, and personalities of the many other souls and they became one. Though there were many souls, his was the most prominent for some reason. Simply coincidence, or maybe as a result of the powerful drive that his soul last had. Powerful magic is ended by powerful magic, as the monstrosity of a failed spell was eradicated by the will of elder mages wielding magic of light. During the purge of the great beast, the magi attempted to return the souls used to their original form to give them peace. But this could not be done, and the great essence was torn scattered through time and space. The magi used a spell named Doren Balius Ghedion to defeat the beast. But with the passing of hundreds of thousands of years, the few myths, lore, and faerie tales left have grown to know the beast as Bala Ghed.
