FLAGRANT ATTEMPT TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT

This bitch is about people that just don't get what an RP is about. Suppose you made an IC, stressing an attempt to be realistic and understated in the setting and somebody posts about how it would just be better if it was anime-styled.

It's not just that I, the GM, disagree (otherwise I'd have made it that way). This person didn't get the whole fundamental concept of the RP - and felt the need to post on the IC to tell me this. Cheers for that.

I think if I'm bothering you, it's because what I'm saying challenges your comfy little bubble of denial and indecisiveness.

Several of you actually said no one can play canon characters but the creators. That's probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard any roleplayer say in 8 years.

This makes me wonder how you even hold your own using your own characters. How inconsistent, basic, and awful they must be, if you can't play a character with tons of source material and background, showing you exactly who that character is.

If you put aside the fact that you hate me and my forward approach, you'll find that in theory, a canon character is easier to play, because it's laid out neatly for you. You have a clear and defined blueprint to guide you every step of the way.

So I don't care what you think of me. Millions of roleplayers around the world will agree with me, because I'm right.

Threads like this wouldn't even exist, if everyone had common sense, some conviction, and a little decisiveness. You'd have no need to write lengthy speeches about the problems you encountered, because you'd effectively manage them along the way.

I hate people, who don't read the rules. This one time, I was doing a 1x1 with a person, but after days of thinking out the plot and stuff, he says that he wants to do it on PM. Then I said, "Did you read the rules? I don't to PM RPs." and he is like "Oh, no. But, I still want to do it in the PM." and then I say, "But, I would like it to do it on a thread.". And then he gets piss off and just doesn't talk to be for weeks. Which made the 1x1 RP, that we came up with, to die. What a waste of time to come up with something great and let it dies, because that person didn't read the rules.

We are all entitled to our opinions. But since the point of this thread is to have a place to bitch and such bitching bothers you I think your time here might be done OutladTorn. We do like to keep things civil here at RPG.

I find it difficult to hold a conversation with someone who disregards everything I say to make me look like I'm wrong using vague points which are irrelevant to the core subject material.

Just go ahead and say I make you uncomfortable because I'm speaking directly to you in this condescending manner. it's not the attitude, but my being right about YOU that bothers you.
