I fully agree that it is a blatant land grab, to further the goal unifying the country.

Welp, in that case after the Allies win I'm voting for the Netherlands to belong to the Reestablished Belgium state to Unify the Country. :)

Edit: @Dedonus, if the netherlands had attempted to peacefully I would have been all for it. But Prussia was manipulating the ToC to state that he could do whatever he wanted and let the Netherlands have the go ahead. Prussia wants a war. They've been itching for it since before the ToC.

As in removing the Dutch-speaking rulers of an 85% Dutch speaking country, in order to replace them with Francophone ones?

I'm surprised how much of a Francboo Albert Edward has become. Here I was with the misconception that France and Britain were traditional rivals.

Why can't you guys peacefully unify your countries, like I did.

It took a war with Prussia for that to happen though.

Legality isn't the reason that the reunification occurred, though. If no country ever declared war illegally, the Netherlands never would've existed.

I completely understand why you did it from an In-character perspective. If Netherlands wants to form a Greater Netherlands, it's going to do it by any means necessary. I get that, and I'm totally cool with it.

But honestly, you need to just come clean in OOC :P There is no point trying to argue that you should get to keep Belgium even if you lose the war, or whatever, because I think even you know you probably shouldn't. As you said, the legality just isn't there. The only way you are going to keep Belgium, is through war. Because, as you know, it's the victors who decide what is right and what is wrong.

But between us, you should just admit Netherlands has no right to Belgium.

Shoo, don't get picky with the details. Anyways, according to the 1864 Update, somehow the Scandinavian Commonwealth peacefully regained control of Northern Schleswig.

I've never argued that Belgian independence shouldn't be one of the results of an Allied victory. I'm merely stating the objective fact that the guarantee of such independence would be a rectification of an event that occurred in a prior conflict.

*Shrug* We have decided to put aside past differences. It's time to put the sibling rivalry aside and face the world together. There are still tensions, but Britain and France are stronger together than apart.

"I hope for a future where every French citizen will know English and every Englishman know French.
When a Doctor in England may spread their wisdom to France and a French inventor can expand his creative mind in Britain.
Whilst London dines on French wine, Paris will enjoy Scottish whiskey.
Like siblings we have fought but, just like siblings, we forgive and band together."

False. What I want is a unified Germany. Whether that requires a war or not is up to you.

I don't see anything there about giving France the Lowlands.

No. You want a Unified Germany under you. Is a Unified Germany worth the thousands of lives that are going to be lost in this war? The citizens of the German Confederation who lived peacefully will prolly say that it is not.

Are you really asking that question?

Otto Von Bismarck's answer is, "Yes", obviously.

So Board seemed to imply so, at least on his behalf, and you got a little defensive when I pressed the issue so I assumed you shared So Boerd's stance. If not, then all is good in the hood.

Jesus, I'm not even in the roleplay and I'm having arguments like I am.

They answered that question in 1848 with a resounding yes. See: Frankfurt Parliament.

Britain
Army Level: (0/5) Good
Equipment: 73.00%

Prussia:
Army Level: (2/5) Good
Equipment: 66.00%

It's a sold fight. We will see how it turns out this war update.

I hope. It doesn't look like anyone currently in the RP has plans to quit though, and I'm second in line, so my hopes aren't that high.

No, I was talking about Otto himself. He could kick your ass, whether it's a fist-fight or a fashion show (with that sexy-ass pickelhaube).
