Also just want to state, Ampharos specifically asked Outcast to not let Austria declare war on the allies. This goes against all diplomatic talks. Yes even his words on the Balkan empire thing Boerd. He was fooling you to wait to rejoin the war on our side. So nope. This goes against all diplomatic relations so far. I told pepper about all this.

Ampharos would you mind confirming?

Edit: you aren't a new nation joining all this pepper. You are a nation with agreements and history. You cannot just go declare war willy-nilly.

I've been trying to hold my tongue here, and I still don't want to unintentionally disrespect anyone, but why the hell was this brought up now and not as soon as I joined? I asked literally everyone for a rundown, including you. Yet you didn't mention this. Now, when it matters, you do.

Another thing, if Ampharos didn't want to declare war on the allies, why was he secretly getting himself poised to invade the Ottomans with the help of Prussia?

Yes, to those who don't know, that was happening in the background, and that's largely where this whole thing came from. I am literally following more or less what Ampharos was going to do anyway.

Or maybe not. His plan was to "fake an alliance with Prussia" and then rejoin the war against them, apparently. Or was it? I don't know. Maybe there's more information that should see the light?

I'm sorry, but I asked you all for rundowns. None of you gave me anything.

I thought it had already been told to you when you joined by Outcast. That's why I didn't say too much on it. I was more worried about the future in our PMs than this immediate thing.

I requested that you gave me a rundown, including treaties and agreements. You gave me jack shit.

It was not my intent to anger you. I PMed you telling you what I knew. I specifically told you that Ampharos planned to rejoin the war on the side of the allies should certain things happen. I told you what I knew.

I feel bad for Pepper, he wasn't told about that. But, he should control Austria whatever he wants to, even if the player before him requested something to not happen.

I think there should have been a rule 17 before the RP started. If you're a major actor in the RP, then you can not quit once the RP begins. Got a problem? Then don't be a major power. Stein you reading this? If you start up 1900, then I request that you add that as one of your rules.

Is this really necessary? I went ahead and waited until Austria's part in the war was (officially) over. I didn't just drop the game and not look back.

I'm also PMing Pepper right now and trying to rectify this... whatever this is.

Like I said "If" he starts it up. Otherwise, Outcast! You too! Further iterations of this RP should have that rule.

Edit: I think it is kind of needed. As a major power, you're a driving force of the RP in terms of story development. If you quit in the middle, then its like... its like... having a large portion of the cat and crew of Game of Thrones change mid season.

It's not a bad rule in theory. In fact, I think any GM would like a rule that says "Players can't quit!", but nothing stops any one of us from leaving this thread and never looking back.

That said, it's not a huge issue for players to enter and leave the game. What happened here is largely my fault. I thought Outcast was going to brief Pepperm1nt on Austria's diplomatic status. That was an assumption on my part. I should have contacted Pepperm1nt myself and gave him the rundown.

That said, I just did exactly that. Pepperm1nt, check your PMs when you get the chance.

I mean. With WiR and what appears to be Outcast's goals. He is making this into a series. So, it could be that if you do leave in the middle, then you can't join future ones (or maybe can't join as a major power) or something along the lines of that. Therefore, there is some sort of punishment. Still, this proposed rule is up to the GM's discretion and decision of course.
