Well, she is seven years old. HOWEVER! She has the intelligence and body of a seventeen year old. She's much younger than she looks, pretty much. You know, for people who want to ask how old she is and gets freaked out when she says she's only seven. I don't really know what animals would really fit for a machine god so the next best thing I could think of was robots. If it matters, she prefers humanoid robots, like mechs and stuff like that.I could always remove the whole Atheist part. Lots of people worship machines and technology, and even more people use it religiously (Like us!). A certain caveat with Machina however is that her creators wanted to create a god using mortal methods that did not need "Faith" to sustain it. A sort of "Alternative" power source for them. Machina doesn't get stronger with more people believing in her, she gets stronger as mortals become more technologically advanced, since that's her sphere of influence. Unless the world gets bombed back to the stone age, Machina should grow more powerful with age.

Now that I think about it, what do the mortals know about the gods? Is it like our world where people are kind of split on the topic or do people actually know? Oh and also what is the time period in the RP? Is modern day? The past? The future?

I figured it was sort of like what you first said, where everyone has very different opinions and thoughts about their religion. Everyone claims that theirs is true, other people are false, etc etc. I'd imagine that the gods themselves still require mortal worship to maintain their power, or at least to use their concepts for those who aren't exactly worshiped commonly anymore. Sure you might not believe in a sun god, but you still need the sun, and in doing so you put a bit of faith that the sun keeps doing as the sun does and it gives the various sun gods some faith. It's a bit trickier with more metaphorical concepts like hell, but giving how many people want to send their undesirables there, I'm sure Satan doesn't have to worry about people not believing that he or his domain exist.

As I've said, she was not "Born", but "Created". Where others had to grow up and learn, Machina had her body and mind already formed and put together, you know like a machine. You computer might only be a few years old, maybe three maybe six, but you could "ask" it any question and it can get you an answer (Via the internet). That's sort of what Machina is like mentally. And the gods didn't feel it necessary for her to have to go through the usual "Baby-child-teenager-adult" stage of grown like other mortals and put her into a healthy physical body. She is certainly very different from your average god, which is quite something to say.I chose technology for Machina's sphere of power simply because, in our modern times, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who worships the gods of old. It's unfortunate, but true. And while I won't go so far as to say that people worship machines, you can't deny that people use and rely on them. Machina gains power as people use machines, which in this day and age, happens to be pretty much all the time. She is, for all intents a purposes, and fairly "New" concept; she wouldn't have existed back in the 19th century or earlier. She, like America, is a new super power that all the older powers don't like because of how much influence and strength she has compared to her relative age.
