Yes and no.

Yes in the sense that you can chose from the five core classes and than have unique Avatar Abilities that allows you to play that class in your style,

But no in the sense that you can't just create a class that throws fireballs using his gunblade while resurrecting his allies in stealth. Generally, let's see what it is first before we drop the hammer.

Well, it's kind of like you choose your class (and maybe your spec) and your abilities should make sense in accordance to that class (like, you don't have an ability that makes you shoot faster on a scrapper or something), but as long as it makes sense, it would be alright (like, if you want to make a tank shoot lasers our of his eyes, you can have him be a half cyborg avatar with cyborg abilities). At least, that's what I got out of it.

Just a quick question about Purple Crown Academy, the Dorms are separate from the main campus right? Also, what is the climate in DGO? Is like a rainforest, an oasis? Is it all a grey, barren, desert terrain (not sure why, but I got the impression it was this for some reason)?

The main campus are within walking distance, but yes, the dormitories are a separate building from where you'd have your general education. Climate in DGO varies, with each guild having an environment matching their color; White are more likely to have a bright, snowy environment, Red will have a harsh red canyon or some such, Black is constantly dark and cloudy, etc.The weather itself usually doesn't matter, but it the environment itself may; don't expect war machines to be moving very fast or very far through a thick forest, but you're really screwed if you find yourself fighting in the middle of a volcano or trapped in a tundra.

Alright, I'll try to explain abilities for you a little bit

For each level, you get one avatar ability. The avatar ability should be something that suits your class. For example, a level 1 gunner ability would be something like a power shot that fires a shot that adds extra gun damage.

When you hit level three, you get to specialize in a certain aspect of said class, and your third ability should be made accordingly.

For example, since you're a sniper spec, your third skill should have something to do with sniping such as maybe increasing accuracy and reducing recoil for some amount of time.

You also get perks in addition to abilities. You get one perk at level 4 and every level afterwards. The perks are listed in the first OOC post under each class.

Avatar guilds are mainly for if you want to be in the guild of a Coloured King. Each guild has a different set of values, and some are currently weird so ask someone else about that.

Otherwise, you just go solo instead.

For other, it's anything else that you want to include that doesn't really fit in the rest of it. The GM also wants your favourite colour so you should probably add that

For avatar abilities, it can be a little hard to think of because you're given a lot of freedom. It's pretty much anything goes, as long as it's balanced and suits your class/character. You should read other character sheets to get a feel for the skills, maybe.
