A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away....

An unsettling silence engulfs the galaxy as the Galactic Empire rules with an iron fist, fear and terror its tools of control. Underneath this fist, whispers of a rebellion travel across the stars, these remain only whispers, unconfirmed rumors spoken by a rare few.

Imperial stormtroopers, the greatest soldiers in the galaxy patrol ever corner, the ultimate weapon of the Empire, they fight for their Emperor and the galaxy. Soldiers of fortune, those that fight for themselves and who so ever pays them the most, congregate aboard a Star Destroyer silent amongst the stars...

It is currently 4 BBY. The era of the Jedi has passed, battles are fought blaster to blaster, ship to ship, soldier to soldier. Many chose to fight for their own gain, as men (and women) who capture or kill wanted people or fight wars they have no true allegiance in other than payment. A select few of these individuals are called in to meet in order to discuss business with the Empire, some would call it "dirty work", those people are not wrong, but it is thrilling work in any case. The selected few are placed on a ragtag group which will run several missions for the Empire, in exchange for payment or other "favors".

Rules:
1. No godmodding or metagaming.
2. Proper grammar is needed, this is a casual roleplay so I expect at least a solid paragraph of text each IC post.
3. Original characters only, also no Jedi or Sith. No Mary Sue type characters, people have flaws.
4. No fighting or being a jerk on the OOC. If any disputes arise, PM me and we'll take care of it.
5. Keep swearing to a reasonable level and the romance (which is allowed) to a PG-13 level. Anything beyond that goes to PMs.
6. Please be active. If you're going to be unable to post for a time, then please notify me. If you lose interest in the RP and want to leave it then also notify me. I will remove your character from the roster and likely kill them off if you disappear without word for two weeks.
7. Please don't go making your own mission out of the blue, or like altering a NPC. If you have any ideas to make the RP more enjoyable, then post or PM me them.
8. I, as the GM, have full say in the RP, my co - GM, Sep, also has the same. If I am not here for an extended period of time (which I'll try to mention if that'll happen) then he is acting GM.

The Ship:

The Empire has decided to provide the team with a ship for travel. It is a modified YT - 1300, a common civilian ship. The ship, nicknamed "The Saber", is itself a light grey tint, its armament two laser cannons, one facing forward, the other a swivel turret placed on top. The ship's main strength lies in its speed and maneuverability, it's not meant to get into massive space battles.

NOTICE: Closed. No more spots to apply characters for are open. Check back later.

My own character, I don't intend him to be the ship's captain, I don't think he's suited for a leadership role. Someone else can go for that.

Name: Corran Halcyon
Species: Human (Corellian)
Age: 25
Gender:Male
Appearance: Typical excursion gear in the image above, only difference is when flying he loses the trenchcoat and will typically move around the ship without it on, however refuses to leave the ship without it claiming that it is his lucky jacket. In terms of other clothes he doesn't have a wide variety, most of his clothing is identical save for a few different shirts. Typically as a well, ex-Smuggler most of his clothing is pretty standard and almost his trade mark.
Height: About 6'2 (Shorter than me, silly Corran)
Weight: No idea what an acceptable weight is here.
Weaponry:1x Westar-35 blaster pistol.
Equipment: Commlink, Chronometer, BARC-Speeder, originally owned the Saber. Red and Black R-3 series Astromech with an R-2 headdome to try and conceal the model nicknamed "Chuckles".
Personality: Quick Witted and Cocky, however despite this he's also caring for his friends and definitely has a concious, cares about collateral damage and what not. He's quite trusting, with everything but his ship and has a live and let live attitude that his very nearly got him killed sometimes but at the same time has got him out of serious scrapes. The kind of person who can make friends easily just from talking to them and can remain friends with them for a very long time, a knack that's useful for finding out information he probably shouldn't really know.

Despite this he can be quite arrogant sometimes depending on the situation, and more importantly while it takes a lot to set him off he has a hell of a temper. While he is good at masking his emotions and appearing joyful and lighthearted most of the time if he truly gets annoyed he just needs to hit something. Usually an inanimate object but you can never be too careful.
Skills:
-Exceptional Pilot
-Reasonable Marksman with a Blaster Pistol
-Mechanically gifted
-Tactical Thinker
-Can hold his alcohol

Slicer - Not too skilled in this, but that's what he has R3 for.
Flaws:
-No real combat skills without a vehicle, other than with his blaster.
-Tends to annoy people without realizing
-Tends to not think about the bigger picture
-While tactical he doesn't really plan ahead, just on the fly.
-Really stubborn.
Bio:

Born on Corellia his father like many others found employment through the Corellian Engineering Corporation, his father being used to test the occasional ship for defects and putting new classes of ships through their paces. It was during this time that Corran learnt how to pilot a ship, quite often managing to hitch a ride along with his father through one way or another. Being a core planet the Clone Wars never really affected him, while he had always shown a degree of compassion it was simply something that didn't effect him and like many others when the New Order rose under Palpatine as Emperor he didn't really notice a difference. Whether it was the Republic or the Empire he had a need to get out into the wider galaxy and travel. So at the age of eighteen rather than joining CEC like his father wanted him too he joined CorSec.

Training as a pilot his head start in life soon got him recognised, him getting recognised got him noticed and him getting noticed got him into the Imperial Navy. It was an unseen change of pace however he welcomed it. Working through the Academy on Cardia while he lacked in the theory classes when it was time to get practical he excelled ,it was his natural ability in the cockpit that got him through the Academy and into the Imperial Fleet with the grades he had been getting. Though like many Imperials the Truth on what was happening was not what he expected. True he thought in valiant battles against Pirates, though quite often he found himself and what later became his squadron employed against civilian targets, riots of non-humans who felt under-represented under the New Order. His view on it began to fall apart.

After a particularly gruelling mission under the command of the ISB he defected. Waiting until the chaos of a battle to make his escape deep within an asteroid belt that had been frequented by pirates. Managing to barter for safe travel in exchange for his TIE fighter. Making his way back to Corellia he told his Father what had happened, and telling him that he'd never be able to return. To this end they staged the theft of a new YT-1300 off the line, built heavily modified for speed and with weapons turrets despite the restrictions. Obviously for some wealthy client.

Over the years he became renowned as a smuggler taking contracts in the outer rim usually to avoid Imperials, though if the pay was good enough he would quite often pass through Imperial Space or even pick up and drop off cargo in it. During this time he honed his mechanical skills, many of the Sabers original panels removed as wiring became exposed, he quickly swapped appearances for speed at least internally. Until one time upon travelling within Imperial Space he had been using a civilian transport ship as cover, being attached to its outer hull. When the Imperials noticed his vessel despite the fact that this trick had worked many times on them (He believed the Captain of the ship had double crossed him). The Imperials threatening to blow the civilian ship and space all of its occupants he surrendered himself and his vessel. Though was given a choice, his ship would be used to better the Empire and he could go with it or go serve the sentence in prison. He grudgingly accepted as the Imperials got to work on the Saber, remodifying its interior and cleaning it up (Much to Corrans distaste) and no doubt placing several tracking devices on it.

What really got him was the fact that he wouldn't even be in charge! He'd answer to some bounty hunters..

Yeah, sure.

I see bathrooms but no showers, that's odd. Though those dark colored rooms with the grey dots could be shower stalls.

If you're talking about 6 being a bathroom it's the galley/kitchen.

Never mind, by the bit in the corner I think the MedBay is doubled up as a lavatory. Either that or turn room 12 into two bathrooms one door at either side. Though tbh I don't think it matters that much...

but no getting rid of mhai storage space <3

Name: Thanner Antares

Species: Human

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Height: 6’2

Weight: 230 ibs.

Apparel:
- Your typical scoundrel’s jacket
- Pants that are far too tight

Weaponry:
- His trusted blaster pistols
- Thermal detonators
- Rugged charm and charisma

Equipment:
- Fusion cutter
- Computer spikes
- A remote droid named IMP

Personality: A dashing rogue in every sense of the term. Having come from nothing, he enjoys stealing from those who are rich, powerful and influential. Arrogant, egotistical, headstrong and pig-headed, a tendency to overestimate his own abilities. Will attempt to talk his way out of any situation. A highly addictive personality, hooked on spice and gambling.

Skills:
- Persuasion and manipulation
- Slicing into computer terminals and security panels
- Decent enough shot with a blaster

Weaknesses:
- The aforementioned spice and gambling addictions
- Women. Specifically those of the physically attractive variety.
- Can be quite overambitious, biting off more than he can chew.

Bio: Born and raised on “the smuggler's moon”, Nar Shaddaa, it seemed as though it was Thanner's destiny to become a slimy, double-crossing, no-good swindler. After losing his parents at a young age, Thanner was forced to look out for himself, falling into a life of crime in order to get by. Theft, extortion, spice dealing, illegal swoop racing, all were par for the course on Nar Shaddaa, and Thanner quickly learned the skills he would need in order to survive.

Thanner’s main employer on Nar Shaddaa was a vile gangster by the name of Grondo the Hutt, who was revolting even by Hutt standards. Grondo’s primary operation was the spice trade, and Thanner started out working as a low level dealer. This was a bit of a problem for Thanner, not because he was a bad dealer, but because he liked to get high on his own merchandise (which technically did make him a pretty bad dealer, but I digress). Life on the streets of Nar Shaddaa came with a certain degree of psychological baggage, so it was understandable that Thanner would develop some vices. Spice addiction was just the tip of the iceberg. Gambling was the rest of the iceberg.

Thanner loved to gamble, he just wasn’t very good at it (to be fair, the odds weren’t exactly in his favor). Even worse was that he had a tendency to gamble with money that he didn’t have. After racking up an exorbitant debt at Grondo’s casino, a bounty was placed on Thanner’s head. Then, when Grondo found out about the whole “getting high off his own merchandise” issue, the bounty was substantially increased. Needless to say, it was time for Thanner to find employment elsewhere. There was just one problem, he didn’t have a star ship.

Grondo had a ship though, so Thanner decided to sneak into his hangar bay and steal it. He figured Grondo couldn’t want him dead any more than he already did, and he was absolutely wrong. The bounty was increased tenfold, but Thanner thought it was worth it to give Grondo one last (metaphorical) middle finger before he left Nar Shaddaa.

After stealing Grondo’s ship Thanner began working as a freelance mercenary. He had a particular flair for theft, and would steal valuable products for a hefty price. Many of these products were property of the Empire, so Thanner would break into secure Imperial facilities in order to acquire them. Breaking into Imperial facilities was quite foolish, and some might say that Thanner had developed a bit of a death wish. That seemed about right.

Eventually, Thanner’s life of crime would catch up with him. More specifically the Empire would catch up with him, and arrest him. The Imperial officer responsible for his arrest was Captain Aeria Orion. Thanner assumed he would be forced to live out the rest of his days in an Imperial prison on some backwater world, but fate had a way of intervening. Rather than locking him up, the Empire decided to take advantage of Thanner’s abilities, and Captain Orion offered him a deal. In exchange for completing a dangerous mission on behalf of the Empire, Thanner would be cleared of all criminal charges and given his freedom. Realizing he didn’t have much of a choice, Thanner accepted the offer.

To ensure that he did not desert the mission and attempt to flee, Thanner was given a remote droid companion he nicknamed IMP. The droid continually monitors Thanner’s activities, and reports back to Captain Orion. Thanner is currently being transported to an Imperial Star Destroyer, where he will be briefed on his upcoming mission...

Name: Therra Garren
Species: Human (Mandalorian)
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Height: 5'5
Weight: 105 Lbs out of armor
Apparel: Mandalorian armor, underneath a drab brown colored tunic and pants
Weaponry: Modified DC-15 that can act as a carbine or sniper rifle, a blaster pistol, a hold out blaster pistol in her boot, and a vibroknife
Equipment: Grappling hook in her left gauntlet.
Personality: Despite being a Mandalorian, Theera has a warm personality and is friendly to everyone she meets often greeting everyone with a smile, Therra is devoted to her work and her rifle calling it her "Husband" she will do anything to ensure the job get's done and during her job is the only time she shows no emotion and no mercy, deep down inside she's been hurt by past events and that friendly demeanor is her way of shielding herself from peoples probing.
Skills: Her chief skill is long distance combat she will sometimes stay in the same spot for days or weeks setting up the perfect shot, expert with pistols, close combat expert, medical expert.
Flaws: Her knowledge of technology is "If you hit it hard enough it will work.", she is no linguist knowing only mandalorian and common, and her knowledge of first aid doesn't extend beyond bandaging
Bio: Born the youngest of three on Mandalore, Theera was always the tom boy, and always eager to please. Her father taught her everything a young mandalorian would need to learn how to take a hit, and to learn how to fight. She was trained from the age of six until she was fifteen, it was then that a rival clan decided to attack the Garren clanstead. They shot her father and her two brothers dead, they trapped her and her mother inside their homestead and torched it. If it wasn't for the quick thinking of her mother getting her outside and sacrificing herself to save Therra, then she wouldn't be here.

Therra swore revenge, donning her armor and taking up her fathers rifle she went on the hunt. She found the rival clan and waited weeks, watching them and stalking them. Then the perfect chance came and she took it. She killed every single member of the rival clan before they could even pin down her location. Her revenge sated she found herself hollow and alone with nowhere to go. She became clanless and she wandered Mandalore. It was during this wandering phase where she met a team of bounty hunters who wished came to the planet to collect a bounty, she asked if she could help and they took her along with them.

On this merry crew she became their marksmen always backing them up even in the worse of situations, along with backing them up she got to know the crew and fell in love with the captain and team leader. Who sure enough returned her love, often times both of them would speak of when they made that big bounty they'd settle down and build a life for themselves. That big bounty came in the form of a empire sanctioned bounty on a criminal who ran his gang much like a corporation on Corellia.

The mission on Corellia, didn't go as planned. They botched the arrest and ended up pinned down by this mans associates. They gunned down the team, Therra only got away due to the captain telling her to play dead and she did. Luckily they didn't remove her helmet to check if she was dead they just assumed and left her alone. Finding the captain and the love of her life wounded he left her with the parting advice of "Smile more, looks fitting on you." Before succumbing to his wounds and once again Therra was alone in the universe.

For awhile she became depressed, and probably drank at every bar in all of the core worlds. But she also did her job but now as a solitary hunter. Eventually she sobered up and put on the fake smile facade. So the few times she was paired up with other hunters she didn't smell like a brewery, eventually the imperials approached her about joining up with a crew. In need for the credits she agreed and they put her on a ship to some star destroyer.
