I think all student PCs will have Evans first. I think for now they all just screw around until Draco decides to move ahead to class time
Taking this opportunity to move Rainer to this thread as well as post my WIP teacher
Rainer is pretty tall, his form made up of lean muscle. He takes great care to style his hair in the perfectly messy way and his face is never without some sort of self-satisfied grin. His typical style of dress is an open shirt over one his many black tanks. On his left hand catching the lights is a thin titanium ring on his middle finger.
Name: Rainer Cobalt
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Biography: A Sinnoh boy, Rainer grew up in Oreburgh City. Like many of living in that city, his father was a coal miner. It was normal for them as everyone in the town was involved in mining that precious resource, whether directly or indirectly. It wasn't the cleanest or nicest place to live in but it was home. There was certain stereotype of those who lived there. Tough and full of grit, a stereotype a young Rainer did not fit at all. He was a rather weak young boy, getting picked on for his small size and proficiency in academics. He had three older brothers he turned to, but they had the same advice. "Toughen up and they'll leave you alone." Sure enough, that was his only choice.
Rainer took his fate into his own hand at around age 12. He snuck off with his father's Machop north of town and caught a Pokemon. Swoops, his Gligar, was as his father put it, just what he needed. The two worked together, along with the Machop, to become stronger. Rainer eventually stood up to the bullies, though he nearly took it too far until one of his older brothers (who had been watching the whole time) came in and separated the two boys. From that point forward, life was a little easier. He had gained some respect from his classmates but he hadn't quite gained it for himself. With some prodding from his brothers he trained alongside his Gligar, going through the typical awkward moments of adolescence. In contrast to his initial fear of girls, he found that he liked talking to them. A lot. Over the next few years he took to heart his uncle's advice "Fake your self-confidence until you find you're not faking any more." His parents and brothers would tell you he took that to heart a little too well.
Eventually Rainer grew bored. His life in Oreburgh just wasn't cutting it. On his 16th birthday when he came to the conclusion that he had to get out and explore the world. He resolved to train with Swoops for a month, and challenge the local gym. A success would mean he could take off and see the world, challenging trainers and catching more Pokemon along the way. A failure meant he had to train harder and try again next month. Two embarrassments, one near miss, and one glorious success later he was saying good-bye to his family.
He traveled through Jubilife City up to Floaroma town. He took a few days off in the area just to enjoy the clean air, much different from that he had grown up with in Oreburgh. In his explorations he neared the foundries. Wandering a short distance away from Fuego Ironworks, a Magnemite was drawn to him and his malfunctioning Poketch. He ad Swoops went right to work, and a short battle later Flux had joined their group. The magnet Pokemon hadn't really stood a chance. Rainer moved on to challenge gym in Eterna City. The gym leader, put off by his cockiness chose to use her strongest Pokemon against Rainer. After four attempts, he had still failed to receive a Forest Badge. Upset, but not willing to let it get the best of him, Rainer moved on. He travelled north to Snowpoint City.
Not willing to risk another humiliating defeat just yet, Rainer spent a good amount of time living with his aunt and uncle and their family. He would train Swoops and Flux out in the snow daily. Over the course of his time there, he even learned to snowboard... sort of. Amidst their training, Rainer came across a Swinub, rather large for its size. He managed to catch it as it was distracted digging up a mushroom. He spent a few more weeks preparing and eventually managed to storm the Snowpoint Gym and make off with the Icicle Badge before the leader knew what hit her. Confidence restored once more, Rainer returned to Eterna City. This time he managed to keep an attitude of humility, though it didn't convince Gardenia to go any easier on him. However, with all the extra training and an Ice Shard from Snout at the very end to finish off the last of Gardenia's Pokemon, Rainer finally earned his Forest Badge.
At this point, Rainer received word that his eldest brother was getting married, so he returned to Oreburgh once more. While in town he met up Roark once more, the man who had given him his first badge. He had been in contact with Candice and Gardenia, who had agreed that Rainer held the potential to be a great leader and would do well at GLU in Orre. He relayed that Gardenia apparently was hoping being around other trainers of skill would knock some humility into him. So the two resolved that Rainer would leave for Orre a week after the wedding. The wedding came and Rainer met the family of his new sister-in-law. As a gesture of goodwill and new friendships, he and the bride's father traded Pokemon. Rainer, Swoops, and Flux said goodbye to Snout who had helped them finally earn that elusive Forest Badge and hello to Zen the Slowpoke. The four of them had a bright future waiting for them at the Gym Leader University.
Personality: Rainer might have overdone it when he took his uncle's advice. The first thing people notice about him is his confidence, call it arrogance or cockiness because that's what it is. As far as he is concerned, he can do anything because he knows he has the brains and the discipline to see it through. This world is his for the taking, but he's willing to share with those who fight as hard as he does. Overall he is friendly though. He believes that above all things, you need to respect yourself for who you are, and he has a soft spot for those who have toruble doing just that. Rainer has a simple sense of humor, in that it doesn't take much to make him laugh. Stupid jokes, dirty jokes, toilet humor, clever wordplay, corny wordplay all do it for him. He just loves to laugh. He's also a flirt. He defintiely enjoys he female form and has no shame in letting a girl know he's interested. He's become a good bluffer and can pull off some pretty big lies without a hint of doubt. That's not to say he's a good liar, when it comes to personal matters, guilt can easily get the best of him.
Notable Possessions: A Razor Fang he found a while back. He's been holding onto it since then. He doesn't want to evolve Swoops until he's good and ready. A small silver ring he wears on the middle finger of his right hand. He considers it good luck and turns it three times before each battle.
Battle Theme:
Other: He's terrible with technology. He can usually use it well enough. It's just if he uses something long enough it tends to malfunction or break.
Pokemon Species: Gligar
Nickname: Swoops
Ability: Sand Veil
Personality: Swoops is far more laid back than Alex. He takes things easy. Early on his inability to take a battle seriously often cost them, but overtime he's gotten more serious in battle. He still resists having to train though.
Signature Move: Acrobatics

Pokemon Species: Magnemite
Nickname: Flux
Ability: Magnet Pull
Personality: Despite not being very expressive, Flux has a strong personality. It's easily excitable and loves to meet new people and Pokemon. It's a curious sort and often wanders off if something catches its attention. It also like to closely examine anything new. Between Rainer's bad luck and Flux's excitability they've ruined their fair share of electronic equipment.
Signature Move: Flash Cannon
Other:

Pokemon Species: Slowpoke
Nickname: Zen
Ability: Own Tempo
Personality: He may be slow, but there definitely is something going on in that head of Zen's. While obviously laid back and checked out during just about every moment of the day, in battle and in training, Zen brings it all to the table. Perhaps instinct or his psychic abilities, Zen seems to know exactly what to do in battle. Often acting on Rainer's commands an instant before he gives them.
Signature Move: Psychic

Name: Aras
Gender: Male
Age: 62
Biography:
Aras was born and raised in Opelucid City. As a kid he was never too interested in Pokemon. He was fine just being a kid. As he grew, he fell into the wrong crowd and and began causing trouble for the town. The gym leader at the time, Drayden's predecessor, took an interest in Aras as he seemed to be quickly showing leadership potential within his little gang. She took the youth out to catch a Pokemon, hoping the responsibility would change his behavior. It didn't quite work as intended, with Aras only growing more troublesome to the community, his Rufflet now an accomplice to all his actions. He even managed to go out and catch a Scraggy himself.
He trained them rather well, and the two helped keep him escape anytime the police got involved. Around the time he was 19, the gym leader reached out to him once more. This time to ask for a favor of sorts. She sent him out to Village Bridge to deal with a pair of Zweilous. The two Pokemon had taken to coming on food raids in the middle of the night, rooting through any garbage or Pokemon food storage, viciously attacking anyone who tried to get them away from the food. Ara reluctantly set out, not seeing the benefit in helping the small village. But she claimed he owed her a favor after helping him catch his Rufflet. It was a tough battle with the wild Pokemon, and his anger got the best of him. He ordered Rufflet and Scraggy to attack far too harshly once he had worn them down. It took a townsperson stepping in and capturing the two dragon Pokemon to save them.
When he returned to Opelucid, something was different. HE didn't find the same pleasure in stealing and vandalizing and causing general mayhem like he once did. Even if it had angered him, pitting his own Pokemon against the wild Pokemon had made him feel alive and really connected to his Pokemon more than ever. About a year later after he had grown tired of the same thing in Opelucid City, he slipped out of the city and began his own Pokemon journey. Feeling it'd be best to get started in a new region where none knew of his bad reputation, he took a ship to Johto. He made his journey through Johto and Kanto, collecting badges and generally growing as a person. He then made his way through Sinnoh, the years and experience smoothing his rough edges and giving him a greater appreciation for Pokemon and life. It was in Kalos that he first challenged the Elite Four, surprising himself with how well he did, though not quite getting to the level of the Champion. He then resolved to travel in Hoenn a bit before returning to his home region and becoming set on challenging the Champion.
Upon his return to Unova, he blazed his way through the gyms, collecting each badge within weeks, stopping in his hometown of Opelucid. He challenged the newly instated Drayden for the Legend Badge. The man quickly recognized Aras as the troublemaker that his mentor had tried so hard to help. Convinced that Aras had taken for granted and abused that help, he put his full will into their battle, only to come up just short. Aras went on to challenge the champion and fail. To Drayden's great displeasure, Aras managed to take the vacant spot of the leader of the Mistralton City Gym, perfect for him as he'd always favored the Flying type. The other leaders were initially distrustful of him. However, Aras was determined to help the league and Unova. He took an active role in promoting the involvement of gym leaders in their communities, as he had seen the Opelucid Gym leader do. As time went on he was able to gain the trust and respect of all the leaders, including Drayden. Eventually he was chosen to take a spot in the Elite Four.
His time in the Elite Four was short-lived. He didn't enjoy being "cooped up" in the castle, only seeing trainers who came to him in his room. He preferred being out and affecting the world. He stepped down after Alder became champion and became a representative of the Unova League, helping to shape its future. In this time he did a lot of work, helping his own league as well as those of other regions, building new gyms, and helping to select gym leaders. When he heard about Steven's idea for GLU, he was overjoyed. He called the young Champion immediately and asked what he could do to help. Luckily for him, it was nothing he wasn't already planning to do. His main role was in talking to the different leagues and securing their support for their university. He managed to open up many resources to Steven. He then became part of the faculty, lecturing on the subject of a Gym Leader's role in their community.
Personality: Aras is a rather agreeable older man. He enjoys talking to people, and listening even more. He has no shame and often says things to embarrass others or himself. Despite his easygoing demeanor he still has a temper that flares up from time to time. He will crack down ruthlessly on blatant disrespect, though good-natured ribbing is simply returned in kind. He believes strongly in the the need for gym leaders to play an active role, rather than sitting in their gyms. He will not tolerate students who refuse to see that.
