I was a part of another RP with this same title and I rather enjoyed it! Unfortunately after about 1.5-2 years it died. I would love to re-start it!

The basic story line is that a meteor has landed in France. It was large enough to do a lot of damage and claim many lives. Due to the dirt in the air and the shock of such a large object making it through the atmosphere many surrounding countries suffered long after the meteor strike. The earth began to settle a bit and the governments argued as to what should be done. The world was on the brink of another world war despite the tragedies that had already occurred. Then, people in the neighboring countries began to drop like flies. accidents were everywhere because of people spontaneously dying. The human race just couldn't catch a break. Despite their bickering, the governments began to pay attention to the anomalies in the countries surrounding France. As it turns out, by the many governments investigating, the meteor was radioactive. The governments were on high alert, quarantining everything. That is when they discovered that a few had survived, and developed. Adults and children alike, spread far and few between had been genetically changed. Some were partial to elements, others had gained likenesses of animals. All became known as 'Subjects'. The governments fought ravenously over these human resources of power, these broken 'heroes'.
This is where you come in. As one of the Subjects you are on the run from the governments, trying to get away and not be experimented on, not to be driven mad. You can also be working with the governments as a specialized team for hunting, capturing and torturing your own kind. Some say you are mad yourself. Each subject, with the government or not as long as they are known to the government, are given a Greek letter as a name. Something easy to refer to.
To add a little more taste and in an odd twist of fate. Subjects are beginning to gather. Mainly to hide from the governments but some want to unite the nations in rebuilding the world. Ironically, their choice in doing so is the only way for the countries of the world not to fall into World War 3.
Side Note: All specials have telepathy with one another. It's all the same language when they speak with their minds too.

Personality: Bubbly and bright. There is almost never a time when she isn't smiling ... etc.
History: She grew up in Canada as the 2nd youngest of 4. She had a very loving and caring family and lived on the eastern coast. When the meteor hit her family suffered the bad weather but survived. She however seemed to change. It wasn't long before her parents noticed her sudden increased interest in plants and she discovered soon after that it wasn't just a liking but a power. Her parents lovingly gave her what they could so she could go on the run and helped her move from Canada. She moved to a tourist attraction on Cape Verde. She worked on a resort as a landscaper and gardener. it was good work for someone who can talk to plants. She has not been found out since leaving her home.
Other: She suffers from phytomania (the obsession of collecting plants). Her bag contains mostly plant information she has yet to memorize and all her pockets are filled with seeds.

History: He was a former x-convict. His powers drove him mad; hearing voices here and there without any knowledge of how to control them. After the government took investigations into the meteor and what the effects the radiation it gave off were like on some people. They found him, They gave him the opportunity to help them and to better equip his powers. Rolf was already a few screws loose before prison but now he enjoys the hunt. He enjoys tracking and helping to capture his own kind. [More of his past will come back to him as the roleplay goes on, the plot will play around his particular power and the government that controls him.]

These effects can range from making someone blind, mute, or even paralyzed, but can also make others able to resist extreme cold, heat and even not feel pain. Although with the last one any damage dealt will still be done, they just won't feel it until the effect wears off. He can also cause these effects to himself.

History: Jason had always lived a very privileged life, his family was very wealthy and as a result most of his childhood was different from other children. At least it would have been if he didn't insist on going to public school with all the other normal children. His two siblings loved the high life, but Jason didn't really want it. He was much more humble than his siblings, they always wanted more, he was happy with what he had. That made it that much more worse when he somehow ended up with his powers. It started with people seeming nervous when he looked at them a certain way to slowly learning to control what he had. This was close to the end of his high school life. He wasn't sure he wanted to go to school, he was definitely smart enough and his family had enough money. He just didn't feel it was the right thing for him. He decided to use his wealth to his advantage for once in his life and traveled around the world. He was always interested in geography and had a lot of places he wanted to go. He also figured not staying in one place would make it harder for the government to track him if they wanted him for anything.

|Personality: How do I describe Aria? She's funny, sometimes, and poignant at other times. But most of all, she tends to remind me of a lost puppy. {Don't build me up too much, hey?} Honestly! She'll bug me about the most random things sometimes, like going on and on about goggles. {That was one time, thankyouverymuch.} I think maybe Aria's just lonely.
|History: To be honest, she's forgotten much of it, and her superpower's not been much help. {Really‽ That's it‽ Real helpful, thanks.} She's tried to reason with whatever intelligences (or even to determine if there are intelligences) are on the "other side" quite a few times, with mixed results. {Hello?} The first time she witnessed the vision, in fact, she learned little about her past, and then shortly afterward made contact. Illusion - Richard can cast a number of illusions on his victims, however the strength of the illusion depends on his and the other party's mental fortitude, their grasp on reality, and whether they can be deceived easily or not. Taking these limits into account, he can cast a simple illusion of himself somewhere else, or make others think that he isn't present, or he can plunge a single person into an alternate reality where nothing makes sense.

Richard has a natural tan with wavy blond hair that goes down to his shoulders, soft jawbone with a sort of an angular face. He has green eyes and a crooked nose from a previously broken nose. His build is athletic and he wears a normal green shirt with blue jeans, with a pair of football trainers.

Personality:
Richard is generally a kind fellow, fairly loyal, and a good companion to have around. However, he can be a bit cynical and tends to call it his "realism giving an opinion," and he can also be quite clever.

History:
Richard's life was no different than any others as a teenager living in England. He went to public school, had a couple friends he would hang out with, siblings that he had strained relationships with, and the whole nine yards. There was nothing special about it, nothing exciting. Just normal. That is until the meteor hit France. England, and many of France's neighbouring countries got hit the worst, and in Richard's eye he got the worst of all. His parents were the first to go, simultaneously, they just simply died in their sleep from radiation poisoning and there was nothing anyone could do, then his older brother was shanked and died from the wounds and his little three year old sister passed away in the hospital bed, from a variety of diseases and disorders caused by the thick, heavy clouds.

With his family gone, he sought out his friends but found they too were dead. Going through his year books he sought anyone from his school who could help, the few that did remain alive were too sick to do anything or simply didn't want to face the reality of what happened and live in their own little world. When he had lost all sort of hope, Richard discovered his powers for illusion and casting people in them, it brought a little hope to him, but not enough to quell the pain of losing everyone.

Things turned for the worse when the English government demanded that he be captured, calling him "Omega" for some strange reason. Although his abilities allowed him to escape their custody, he now lives alone in the country side, occasionally talking with other "Subjects" through a telepathic line he only recently discovered.

Power(s): Elena has the ability to alter and warp the reality around her. This effect is temporary and generally she can only reach a certain distance from the focal point (herself). When she leaves the area everything reverts to true reality. She develops migraines from using her powers, if she continues to use them repeatedly without rest she can potentially black out from the migraines.

Greek Name: Xi

Appearance: Elena is an older woman however she doesn’t look much older than 30. She is slim and willowy in build with shiny long black hair usually worn loose. Her eyes are so vivid a green that many think she uses contacts. She dresses a bit anachronistically preferring simple dresses of a single color, long skirts, high neckline, and long sleeves. If she feels a dress is not appropriate she will dress in well tailored pant suits that also cover most of her skin. She does this as she has tiny green scales in patches all over her body. The more she uses her abilities the more the scales spread; she knows intuitively she will eventually be covered with scales and branded a freak but she has a hard time remembering this in the heat of the moment.

Personality: Elena is quite pleasant most of the time. She doesn’t have much of a moral code at all though. Sympathy is fairly unknown to her, only if its been a long time…months…since she has used her powers does she ever have such an emotion. She is cold and logical about everything she does—at least by her reckoning. She will not tolerate anyone betraying her, or trying to. The more she uses her powers the less she values human life and the more she crosses the line to sociopath. She doesn’t get any “joy” out of killing, though killing often eases the pain caused by the use of her powers. She has tremendous headaches which grow in power and intensity the more she uses her power. They make her short, waspish, and considerably more dangerous as she knows the only way to alleviate the pain is to kill.

History: Elena comes from a wealthy family though her parents and siblings are all dead now. With her wealth Elena never had to suffer the indignities and injustices of life in the slums. Indeed with her family’s wealth they were allowed luxuries and freedoms that others were not. When her family was all gone Elena used the family fortune to find more fortune for herself. She realized the value that some items had, the rarer the item and the more danger involved in getting it the better the value. So she set up a business as an elite agent of “trade.”

She was over 30 when she discovered her powers, and the first time she used them it frightened her so much that she didn’t use them again for nearly 2 years. Eventually, however, she started to use her abilities on purpose as the world changed and she needed an edge to help deal with it. She noticed a few things when she did so. The first was that the scales that covered her body seemed to spread the more she used her powers. The second was that the more she used her powers the younger she looked. As time progressed she used her abilities more and more, and she learned that there were others with her abilities, and they were in high demand by the remaining world governments. She did not wish to give up her freedom, her wealth and she took to running from capture. She is already mad, however, and often homicidal. She has no real loyalties save to herself. As she has no friends and family what does she have left to protect except herself. She is growing more and more addicted to using her powers, anything that gives her the opportunity to do so is worth looking at.

Other: Elena needs help desperately though she would never admit it. The more she uses her powers the more she wants to and the more she uses them the worse her headaches become the worse her headaches become the more sociopathic she grows.

Age: Seven and a half

Power(s): Hive-Mind control, Telepathy
Elizabeth’s abilities are both immediate and long-term. She sometimes plants instructions for a later date. Victims of her mind control are linked to her and each other telepathically. She’s positive there’s a limit to the number of people she can have under control at one time, but she’s yet to find it; she can feel the pressure building in her head, straining her powers with each new member of the Hive.
An alternate application of her powers is essentially mind-rape; she can either passively or actively root through someone’s mind. Passively is less effective, but harmless (other than the violation of privacy), when she actively looks about, she shreds a person’s psyche. She has yet to gain enough control to get a medium between the two.

Greek Name: Alpha

Appearance: An inch over four feet, Elizabeth is mostly unremarkable in appearance; she has black hair almost down to her feet and the pale skin that at one time would have been the sign of a noble. Blue eyes that appear distressingly guileless. The oddity of her is that she often wears Elizabethan gowns (sized for her)—a habit she had given to her by her parents. The rest of the time, she wears jeans and t-shirts or dresses.

Personality: Elizabeth is a great deal smarter than her age would suggest. Part of being in a Hive is the sharing of information. As the “queen” it’s one way if she doesn’t try to share, but it means that she learns a massive amount from each person she inducts (those subjected to long-term Hive-presence). She has no concept of morality as it normally is thought primarily because she is not yet even eight years old. She knows basics, but has trouble with controlling her impulses. She can be cold, calculating and vicious, but she can just as often simply lash out at someone who offended or hurt her. Her powers have given her a sense of arrogance and entitlement: she thinks she has the right to read peoples’ minds and order them as she likes.

History: As a girl less than eight years old, Elizabeth has little in the way of a personal history. Her ability to remember things goes back a little more than a year and a half. About the same time she found her powers, she lost her parents. She is still unsure if those two incidents are related—she woke up in London on her own and when she demanded that a man help her find her parents, he complied and she felt his mind. Her mind is suspiciously blank on memories of her origins and she suspects that she may have done something to her family that she is unconsciously trying to block out.

As of now, Elizabeth has few fingers anywhere and has not really explored her powers outside of their short-term applications. She has a “soldier” permanently under control and she rarely goes anywhere without him. Simple pragmatism means that a little girl on her own is too vulnerable to wander on her own. The first is an ex-security guard. While not able to fight military scale battles, he can and does deal with commonplace trouble.

Elizabeth also has one “drone”. A young woman who works as a secretary, earning a little money which is then funneled to Elizabeth. The woman works as a minor person in a corporation that Elizabeth has yet to bother learning the name of; as long as it keeps her fed and comfortable, she has not begun to care.

She is aware of the danger posed by her and has come across one agent looking for her. It did not end well for the agent, though his remains have yet to be found. She regrets her temper, feeling that he would have been an asset.

Other: She’s working on controlling her tendency to lash out, but she’s yet to manage it properly. She’s been considering building a larger force in her Hive and even looking for others like her to work together for her (sorry, their) own protection.

Doesnt work with the personality. Briz the char i use the most is basically the personification of the kitsune spirit. Yes i could be the trickster racoon but I dont have a personality for that one.

Power(s): Tony's power is a little hard to explain. His body, is like an energy core. Each of his cells is like a power house. He has yet to figure out how they make this energy, all he knows is that the energy created is powerful. He can create concussive blasts, energy shields, energy constructs, etc. Hart was also use this energy to enhance his physical attributes, such as speed, strength, agility, endurance, etc. He has yet to find his limit, but excessive use of his power seems to tire himself out. He believes that the organelles in his cells that creates his energy, act like ATP. Like ATP, if he has none of this in his body, he will have no energy.

Greek Name: Beta



Personality: Tony is funny, social, outgoing, impulsive, and spontaneous. He likes to move around and hates to stay in one place. Tony loves to have a good time and rarely takes anything seriously. Surprisingly, Hart is surprisingly smart. But his impulsiveness makes him tend to throw away any plan he comes up with. Tony loves to be around people, this is probably derived from his need to have connections. He feels like he can fill in the hole in his heart with friends instead of family.

History: Tony has no idea who he is besides his name and his age. For some reason, when he began developing his powers, he lost all of his memories. He thinks that when his powers came into play, a part of his brain was turned to steel, like the rest of his body could. All Tony wants to do is figure out who he is, and if he has any family. Hart has searched around most of England and has found none evidence that he has any heredity connections in Britain. He assumes that they moved somewhere new or something like that.

Name: Eise Torell (pronounced like 'ice')
Age: 22
Country of Origin: Sweden
Power(s): Lashing - Eise lashes a person or thing to a surface or direction, making that the lashed object's 'down' direction. An object can be lashed multiple times, either to multiply the force of the lashing or to apply multiple lashings in different directions to apply a complex lashing. Lashing two objects or surfaces to each other makes it extremely difficult to separate the two. Lashings decay over time once they're established, and the more energy is initially put into the lashing, the longer it will last before wearing off.
Greek Name: Psi (sigh)

Personality: Eise tries to act like he's a badass, but he isn't. He's got more in common with a teddy bear. He's really a nice guy, always going out of his way to help and take care of others, especially when he can downplay his involvement, or even better, when he can do it without them even finding out it was him. Eise doesn't like hurting others, but he knows that it's a necessary evil on occasion. If someone has to do it, he'd rather not force the burden on someone else.
History: Eise grew up in a small home, with his parents and older sister. He and his sister had never gotten along the best, and they always fought over stupid little things that didn't really matter, and he thought his parents were too strict when it came to curfews and staying out and how he dressed and who he hung out with and basically everything else too, but he'd never wished them dead. They didn't deserve to die the way they did. His mother died first. She had it easy, not having to see the others get sick and die. Eise didn't know it, but by then his father and sister were both barely alive as well. Father held it together for a few weeks, and his sister lasted even longer. She stayed strong for him, hiding the fact that she was almost dead from her brother. She made herself disappear when she knew she wasn't going to last any longer, but she'd left a trail that Eise followed, and at the end of that trail he found her, dead, cold, floating in an icy lake. He doesn't remember exactly what he did after that, but the next thing he knew, he was standing in the middle of a snowy street, structures all around looking like they had been tossed by a toddler throwing a tantrum. That's not too far from the truth. After some wanderings to clear his head, he turned himself in to the authorities, telling them exactly who he was and what he had done, what he could do. He's been working with the government, trying to find other people like him, to get to them, to protect them, to save them, ever since.
Other: His power is completely stolen from Brandon Sanderson's "Stormlight" series. Felt bad about it at first, then I thought about how original most powers are.

Sorry I was away for a short period of time. I will do my best to respond every other day or so. University will do that :P

I now realize that I did post this in the interest check. I didn't know of the cool little features the site has now such as an automatic OOC and IC when posting in the IC area, Someone Pm-ed me and told me. Sorry for that Inconvenience. I'll be honest and say I have no idea how to move it over. I'm not the best and after leaving my year long Hiatus from RPG a lot has changed and even then I wasn't GM for any RP more than twice. I'm inexperienced but I wanted to give this a shot! Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
