"She'll be fine, we've been through worse. Right, Rivet?" The Absol nodded before standing up, shaking herself off. He had always known her to be an especially resilient Pokemon and not even that, their bond was like nothing else. "She's still getting used to Mega Evolution. It's a bit harsh on Pokemon sometimes, so we use sparingly."
Or at least that's what Ross deduced. Truthfully, he wasn't sure if it was true or not, but he hated seeing it used being without purpose, especially excessive, Mega Stone researcher or not. "That was a great battle, we should have a rematch sometime," the Absol nodded in agreement, "maybe if we run into each other again."
He knew that was unlikely, considering Sinnoh was a massive region. Then again, the world was small, so maybe it wasn't as unlikely as he'd imagine.

"Evolutions don't matter if you're a better trainer," the girl remarked, standing up from the railing. The water had become calmer on both her head and stomach, but she still craved solid ground and fresh air. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," she remarked to the strategy comment and was already aware what two Pokemon she was going to use.
It was a shame that her Croagunk had yet to evolve, she wanted to use him in all of his fine Toxicroak glory. Before she could remark anything else (or another Pokemon battle begun) a beep was heard from the intercom and an announcement was made:
_"We will be docking in Sandgem Town in the Sinnoh region momentarily. Please gather your belongings and make sure you left nothing behind. We hope you enjoyed riding the S.S Tidal Wave and thank you for your patronage."_
She looked back at the eager boy, "Well, look at that. Seems like you won't have to wait too much longer."
