i didn't want to be the third wheel in their time together anyways' Greyson thought as he went and got a change of cloths "if you need me ill be bathing" Greyson told Daniel as he walked into the bathroom and starting the tub so he can relax. Ever since his youth a bath has always relaxed him even if he was in pain a bath was going to melt it all away. Once the tub was finally filled Greyson gently went into the hot bath and sighed loudly once he was submerged in it relaxing his aching muscles from that giant fight. Greyson would take Pricilla away later for their own time alone once he got the chance. Right now Greyson was thinking of different formations and battle plans for them for when they would be put into another fight and sometimes his mind would wonder to thinking what it would be like to officially be dating that bubble headed girl Pricilla...nothing but good thoughts on his mind

She gave him an incredulous look after he finished speaking. Another moment of uneasy silence between them. He had the feeling he said or did something wrong, again. "Uh...Did I say something wrong? Heh.." At that moment, his ears and tail perked up. Detecting approaching footsteps at the entrance to the infirmary. He didn't expect what came next as the door was practically thrown open, causing him to whirl in place and take a combative stance. Ears pinned back, tail straight and erect, he squatted low and his stubby black claws stabbed through the bandages on his arms. Seeing the large, hulking frame of another stranger come through the door caused him to stop and shrink a little. The young man stopped in the door frame, wide eyes flitting from him and Ms. Rode as if he had walked into the wrong room at the wrong time. "...hey there," the large young man said after a few moments of silence. He came into the room, leaving the door open behind him. "Good to, uh, see you guys are okay." "Does he know me too?..." Kuhaku cleared his throat and straightened up, forcing himself to relax. His claws retracted and tail resumed its agitated swaying. He didn't know why he was so jumpy. He chalked it up to his frayed nerves. "Oh yeah," Ms. Rode spoke up in response to the newcomer. "We're just super, me with my broken rib, sprained ankle, black eye and a mild concussion not to mention all the little cuts and bruises. Then we've got fur ball over there whose only recollection seems to be his own name. We're sooooo totally fine right now." she practically spat at him, venom etched into her words. "Furball? he frowned. Again with the unnecessary remarks. Kuhaku quietly sniffed at the air. He got the feeling that her wounds were deeper than what she had mentioned. Deeper underlying scars. Maybe he pushed it too far by trying to interact with her. He would leave her be and give her deserved space. She didn't seem to be very happy with the whole situation as it stood, much less very friendly. During his youth, he learned it prudent to leave those kinds of people alone until they decided to come out of their shell. Whenever that may be, if at all. Maybe it would be something that could only come with time. "Right then," the young man spat in return, circling them and taking a seat in a chair. "Taking it back. Not glad at all." he ended. Kuhaku's frame shrunk a little as he looked from Ms. Rode to this stranger. There was a lot of bad blood going on here and it made him visibly uncomfortable. It was hard for him to make sense of anything that was going on. It was hard for him to remain positive. "Glad to see that you still have your fire, Rode." a booming voice said as a heavily armored...thing stepped into the room from a freakin' open window. Kuhaku nearly had a heart attack and bolted from the room, but froze in his tracks. "WHOA! What the hell is...WAY BIG!" he slowly inched towards the nearest wall, a bead of nervous sweat rolling down the side of his face. If he wasn't uncomfortable before, he sure as hell was now. Looking from the armored person to the other large stranger, he felt horribly small. He didn't like people or things that were larger than him. It made him feel subconscious of his svelte, feminine body. He had seen and known other Tiger Faunus and they were fortunate enough to be gifted with bulky, muscular bodies. He hadn't been as lucky when he was born, sad to say. Though, he was equally as strong and fast if not faster than his counterparts. He was tall, for sure. 5'11. Though not stick thin at 180 Ibs of solid, lean muscle. He just wished his body would allow him to be more 'beefy'. He watched the armored stranger with wary eyes as he walked about, placing flowers in a vase and opening a box to reveal...a cake. Eyes and ears perking up, this stranger came bearing gifts. He started to slowly relax and wandered a few steps closer, away from the wall. The armored stranger moved about, rustling around for utensils as he then began to cut the cake he brought. "Make yourself comfortable Fulgurate. From the wounds on Rode and Shiro, they still need to recover." He said as he handed the other stranger a slice of cake. "Fulgurate? Is that his name?" he looked at the seated stranger. "Wait, how does he know my first name? Damn it, does he know me too?" his face slowly sagged into one of intense, hidden sorrow. At that moment, the large armored whatever-he-was, approached him and handed him a slice of cake. Reaching out for it, he looked up at the moving suit of armor and back at the cake. "For me?" his eyes asked. The suit of armor then smiled at him, and he reciprocated it in kind. His face immediately brightening. He determined this creature to be friendly and graciously accepted the cake. "Thank you." he was grateful. However long he was out for, he was sure as hell starving by now. "Nice to see you alive partner. But you shouldn't pull out the IV from your body like that. You're going get an infection." he motioned towards Kuhaku's mostly bandaged arms. Blinking, he looked at the site of the IV and looked up, grinning and ruffling his white fur (hair) in response. The moving suit of armor then walked over to Ms. Rode and handed her a slice. "He called me 'partner'..." he mulled over that comment for a while. As he returned to his hospital bed to plop his behind onto it, he curled his legs underneath him indian-style and took a bite of the cake. His ears and tail perked up, it was delicious. Swallowing the bite, he looked at everyone in the room and wondered with bright eyes as he posed his next question. "I'm sorry everyone, but...Do I know all of you? Do all of you know me?"

Oswald couldn't help but glare at Aurellius as he derided Marcus for taking the leader role almost immediately. Diamond's reply wasn't any better, either. Oswald only managed to get a word in once Diamond was on her way out. "I, for one, actually like the fact that he's willing to take the role of leader, instead of some people I've met in the past who just dilly dally around like dickless oafs and get people hurt, or worse. Most people don't understand what it's like to lead. Trust me, it ain't worth it. Marcus, you are a poor, poor sap to have gotten stuck with that role. A poor...poor sap." He could only shake his head at the two he was with. Hopefully Marcus would be a better leader than he'd been. He followed along to the dorm room, already dreading living with these people. Marcus was a good enough guy, but he might have been just a bit too uptight. It wasn't something Oswald was familiar with or particularly fond of, but at least the guy wasn't outright confrontational like their lovely friends were. Oh, and of course, there was Diamond, who somehow made it to the dorm room before them and got through the window. Yeah, because that made a whole lot of sense. Oi.

Sapphire Rode - Infirmary

Abel walked closer to Sapphire. His demeanor had changed drastically from when he'd first entered the room. Now he was standing much taller, in a position that reminded Sapphire of a knight preparing for war. She'd made him angry, easily. Clearly someone who would stand up for himself and those close to him. Shiro on the other hand didn’t seem that reliable. He'd probably just apologize profusely for whatever he did even if it wasn't his fault, Abel on the other hand had a righteous fury about him.

As he walked over it became immediately apparent that he was exercising his superior height. No doubt the gesture was meant to be intimidating but instead it had the opposite effect. A smile tugged at the corners of Sapphire's mouth. Size never determined a battle, in fact in many cases being of greater mass could easily lead to your downfall. He was a slow and heavy fighter, she on the other hand, while her strikes might lack the sort of finishing power his possessed she was capable of administering hers much more quickly and frequently before disappearing into the shadows.

Just as she was sure a fight was about to break out a fourth voice echoed from the window. Sapphire turned sharply, before registering what the sound was she'd tapped the leather band on her right wrist causing Morpheus to assemble itself into her hand. She took a fighting stance holding the blade cross ways ready to slash if necessary. It was then that Sapphire registered where exactly the voice emanated from. The voice belonged to the boar faunus who Sapphire was rather impressed to see walking through the window his arms full of, flowers and boxes. He'd come bearing gifts, which she had to admit was actually rather thoughtful. Sapphire quickly collapsed Morpheus back into her leather band. She wasn't particularly happy at the moment but of the other three Sapphire considered the boar faunus as the most competent fighter, behind herself of course. He had been the one to damage the tunnel enough that she was able to collapse it on the mech's head. Otherwise the battle could have gotten much worse.

"Yeah," she said in return "never stops burning." Sapphire watched as... What was his name? It had been something unusual and had reminded her of some sort of a grunt... Gren, that was it. Sapphire watched as Gren opened one of the boxes which had a chocolate cake inside. Sapphire fought down a smile, she loved chocolate. He sliced it up with expert precision and served a piece of cake to each person present, offering them some kind words or invitation with the cake. Despite his appearance he was actually rather good with people, not a skill Sapphire had exactly mastered, she was mainly good at pushing people's buttons.

When he came to her with the slice of cake Sapphire took it from him graciously, or rather without any of her usual jibes or hostility. The greeting that he gave to her came as such a shock that the plate slipped from her fingers. In a gut instinct reaction Sapphire slipped to the floor catching the plate about three inches from the ground, the cake was still intact if a little windswept. Sapphire let out a gasp of pain. She'd severely aggravated her broken rib again. It was never going to heal properly if she kept this up. She straightened up slowly probing the swollen area with her fingers to make sure the bone was still set properly. She didn't think she'd done any lasting damage but that occupied very little of her attention compared to the information Gren had just delivered. They'd passed.

"Excuse me?" she said in slightly disbelieving voice. "We passed? But that battle was a complete disaster, by all rights half the team should be dead." She didn't understand. If this had been a real situation with professional hunters the mistakes some of them had made would have cost them their lives. She supposed Beacon didn't have as high standards as her father did, or else the pick of the lot was sparse and the rejects had done even worse than they had. Of course this was a combat school, the implication being that they would learn to perform better than they had. Perhaps they were chosen for their potential rather than their display.

Gren looked around at everyone, his face holding a stiff but small smile. He was glad that his actions had done something to lessen the previous tensions, but it wasn't over yet. He could tell that Abel was displeased with Sapphire and Gren would understand why. Kuhaku was either still delirious from his injuries or worse if he could not remember who they were or what happened. Sapphire herself was in no better shape, but he was more concerned about the fact that she still had not fully recovered. He could tell that the act of picking up the cake (Or perhaps it was due to the speed which she did it) was painful to her. They were all still sore, both physically and mentally. Gren would have to play his part however, and try to be the team's emotional Juggernaut. "Relax. You're still injured, but you're also alive. I'll explain what had happened the best I can." Before he actually did that however he went over to Kuhaku's and Sapphire's bed and prepped them for reoccupation. He didn't really order them to, but he was expecting them to lay down so they could continue their healing process. He even pulled their respective IV's near the bed side so they could continue to get their medication. Once he had prepared their spaces Gren pulled up a chair and began to explain. "First, I'll start my reintroducing myself and each other. It seems that Shiro has... Forgotten, so forgive me for speaking about anything redundant. I am Gren Orchid, boar faunas, also known as an orc. Shiro, I had first met you in Forever Falls while we made our way to the train tracks. You and I had entered the tunnels after hitching a ride on a trailer cart, were we later met with Abel Fulgurate and Sapphire Rode. We didn't get to converse for long before we were attacked by Beacon's combat robot. Together we had worked to disable the machine's offensive weapons but we could not successfully break through it's armor. But thanks to Abel distracting the machine, you and I were able to weaken the structure around it. But before we could finish it you had fallen unconscious, likely due to previous injuries. I had to carry you out but... Well, as you can see, I'm not built for speed. Sapphire than risked her life to save you and I, destroying the robot in the process. However our efforts only endangered us further as the tunnel collapsed. We all managed to escape, obviously, but with you and Sapphire in critical condition." A condensed and not entirely accurate summary of what occurred, but that's what Gren remembered. Honestly it was all rather hazy to him as well due to the intense nature of the fight. Now that he explained that part to Kuhaku, Gren turned towards Sapphire. His eyes looked sad, but yet he seemed to be looking at her with determination. He was both regretful for her injuries, and a bit annoyed at her attitude. But he was more annoyed in her doubt. "No. If it had been a true disaster, we would have all been killed. The fact that we all live, despite our mistakes, speaks more of our strength than weakness. I will admit that what we did was reckless, and there are many things we could have done better. But worrying about 'what-if' and 'should-haves' are unbecoming of a hunter. We were ambushed by the machine and had no time to even introduce ourselves before we were attacked. But instead of hesitating or fleeing in fear, we fought together as a team, and even risked out lives for one another despite our anonymous. In the face of danger we did not worry about our own well-being, but on how to defeat the enemy before us with those at our side. Each one of us contributed not only to the defeat of the enemy, but in each of our survival. And we have you to thank for that." Gren looked at each one of his teammates in the eyes, so that they could see that he was serious about what he was saying. He wasn't trying to curry her favor, but admit the truth. "I find your lack of faith disturbing Rode. In our short time together I did not think that you would be the type to doubt your own ability to lead the team to victory despite the odds. Alone we may have been able to flee if we cared only about our own survival, but you had taken the risk and had the mind to make use of each and every one of us. You had position Fulgurate in such a way that the robot would have no choice but to focus it's attack on him while you directed Shiro and I to the location in which we would make the trap. You even risked your own life to disable the robot's automatic weapons and ultimately destroyed it. If there was any faults, it was due to my over reliance on Shiro's semblance. He had used it to help me withstand by injuries where he allowed himself to suffer from his on my behalf. If I had not made Shiro focus so much on my own minor injuries, he would have not collapsed when he did. If you are looking for the culprit of the error, I am at fault." Gren leaned back and closed his eyes meditatively. He expected Sapphire to berate him (Which he would allow), but also continue to blame Kuhaku (Which Gren would dislike). Gren could also suspect that Abel would come to their defense and make more tension, so before that could happen Gren spoke again. "But make no mistake Rode. You, Shiro, Fulgurate, and myself are worthy hunters. If you want improvement you will need to do more than to point out our flaws. As our leader, we will be relying on you to turn us into a cohesive team void of weakness. And despite whatever faults you see in yourself or us, I know you are capable of this task. I know you will put my ability to good use. I have faith in you, and I will trust you with my life."

Marcus shrugged at Aurellius' commentary. "So? This is faster. Unless you have a pressing need to look around the grounds, I want to have the sleeping arrangements settled right away instead of having a fight right before we're going to sleep." he responded bluntly. "Plus I will probably have to attach a proper lock to the bathroom and partition off a bit of the room for miss Diamond given her stated need for privacy." Even when out in the middle of the woods surrounded by hungry Grimm, he added mentally. He did not mind, it gave him something to create. Already several ideas bounced around in his head from privacy screens to a full blown extra room. "Shouldn't you take me to dinner first? Fat chance of that, pal, you have something to prove before you earned yourself that much." Marcus blinked at Diamond's tone, thoughtprocess disrupted. "Beg pardon?" he said. Only the small twitch of an eyebrow indicated his confusion. "I have no problem following you to battle, but that doesn't automatically make us buddies." Without a further word, she left. Marcus shook his head and resumed the trip to their room. "Well that demonstrates my point. So. She is a private person that does not like people prying. I cannot precisely smell things like that." he sighed. His leadership was off to a memorable start here. A poor...poor sap. Oswald said. "Uneasy lies the head upon which rests the crown, as the saying goes. Still, I'll live." Marcus replied with a hint of a smile. So at least one of his teammates valued his judgement. "Regardless. Point is I would like to know about anything that will set you off like the missus so we can avoid too much brooding, accidental murderous rampages, and stolen rations. That would be nice." he summarised. The room was a fairly neat affair, if a bit spartan. The most eyecatching thing in it was Diamond, who somehow got inside before the three of them. Marcus stared at her as she waved. Then with a shrug promptly tossed his hat on one of the bedposts of the bed furthest to the left. "Hi. Dibs on that bed." he greeted her. Some things you just had to accept and roll with. Like the weather or chocolate sprinkles on bread or ninja teammates.

Despite his enmity with Sapphire at the moment, Abel could not help but admire the way she caught the plate. Were all nimble lightweights capable of such tricks? Her declaration of her injuries, made only moments before, heightened the improbability of such a maneuver and by extension the degree to which it impressed Abel. Still, he couldn't shake the feeling that she had been planning to strike him; for a few moments, her expression had betrayed that she thought he might have as well. Frankly, the notion that he pick a fight with a near-invalid insulted the guardian, but he did not bestir himself from his silence to interrupt Gren. While Gren was talking, the feeling of respect Abel felt for him increased. Not only was this brutal-looking warrior considerate and friendly, but he was also a great speaker. Abel envied those who could use words with such finesse, well aware of his own comparative lack of charisma. When Gren mentioned him, Abel's mind flashed back to the moments he had spent in the tunnel using his semblance in conjunction with the Ampere to create a whirling, electrified shield to grab the robot's focus. Perhaps stirred by the memory, a thin cut along his cheek twinged. It took a lot of firepower to get even a single bullet through his Vortex Barrier, but the mech had done so in only a few seconds, cutting straight past the protection afforded to him by his aura since he was concentrated on sustaining the Barrier. Abel's attention shifted as Gren addressed Sapphire directly. He looked into the eyes of Kuhaku, which Gren had referred to as Shiro. From what Abel had heard, it was his last name, but the idea of someone preferring to be called by last name was not alien to him. That said, he nearly winced every time Gren said 'Fulgurate'. It was an esoteric and awkward word, pronounced 'foolg-your-utt', and Abel preferred for others to use his first. Regardless, he found himself wondering if 'Shiro' had really lost his memory. It struck him as weak, and rather irritating, but probably not as much as it did for Shiro. Feeling obligated to make some statement, Abel spoke up right after Gren finished. “Yeah. I feel the same way, really, though I probably look like a prick. We're not perfect, and we have our weaknesses, but the biggest pride in life can be the triumph over yourself.” Those words were his father's, and his grandfather's before him. They expressed an ideal that Abel hoped to live by. “If you're willing to lead, I'll try and follow.”

Robert laughed at Priscilla's "doggy" comment and did his best to hold back his happiness while Priscilla held his hand. Well, she locked arms with him, that was close enough. He walked with her through the hallways until they reached the cafeteria. He stood at awe of the large selection of food that was being served, from pizza to hamburgers. He sat through the line patiently, barely able to hide his excitement. When he had reached the end of the line, he had on his tray: a burger, fries, a small carton of milk, a cookie, and a juice pouch. He made sure to wait for Priscilla to finish choosing what she wanted so that he could pick a table with her. After sitting down at one of the large cafeteria tables, he took a bite out of his burger and then ate one of his fries. As he chewed, he compared and ranked the burgers and fries to those he had had in the past. "Third best burger. Fourth best fries. Considering that it made the top five is something to be proud of, but a majority of burgers and fries I've had were old and usually unwanted by their original owners," he suddenly said. "What about you? How's your food?" he asked Priscilla, taking a sip from his juice pouch afterwards.

Diamond gave a dismissive grunt as she thrown her coat on the remaining corner bed to the far right. The cold wall would be a nice creature comfort in the summers. she noticed their luggage has been delivered to the room by the school's staff - how nice of them! - and she went for her bag, digging out a towel, a black nightgown and a bag of toiletries. She had an experience of having roommates, and she knew it always ended in the last guy having no hot water left for them. "Dibs on the shower. Enter at your own peril." she challenged with a seductive smile. One very relieving shower later Diamond lumbered back into the room, the hat seemingly never leaving her head if not for the fact it was dry. She even tried not to be wasting too much of their time and water, but they didn't need to know that. "Hey boss, when's the wake up call?" she asked, checking if the scrolls had an alarm clock app to them or if she'd have to use her watch. One look at the large bag and she decided that shelving her stuff could wait for tomorrow. Shoving it under the bed she lied down, sliding the hat to cover her face for the night.

As they walked around the hall, now making their way towards the cafeteria where the lunch would be at. Now arriving there, they made the huge line waiting for the food. Hopefully there would be some good food there because she was not going to make this big line for no reason and then the food tasting disgusting, oh no! Priscilla stretched letting go of Robert's arm and now picking out her food. "Mmmm! All looks so delicious!" Priscilla turned to Robert grabbing his food. Men love to eat! So she did the same and picked out her food, BUT it was totally different from Robert. Instead of a burger, she picked up a tray full of salad with the dressing and white chicken cut in small half slices. As they sat down on the table, she began to eat her food while staring at Robert eating. He was so cute eating. "Uhh.. My food? It taste good, hah. It's just salad. I had a craving for it!"

As Ms. Rode took her slice of cake, she dropped it shortly after upon hearing Gren's words. However, she was able to react quickly enough to twist and catch it. Kuhaku's ears and tail perked up, he was impressed by her reflexes. It wasn't often you saw a human with quick reflexes like that. She looked to be in pain as she stood up slowly. He frowned and looked down at his body as he ate his slice of cake. Aside from a few scratches, cuts, and bruises that were nearly completely healed, he looked and felt fine. Whatever happened between the four of them, he apparently made it out in a lot better shape than Ms. Rode. Sure, he was a little achy and sore, but he wasn't in outright pain like she was. Despite how Kuhaku may look, he is a scrappy and tough individual. "Excuse me?" her voice tinged with disbelief. "We passed? But that battle was a complete disaster, by all rights half the team should be dead." "Battle?..." Kuhaku blinked. "Relax. You're still injured, but you're also alive. I'll explain what had happened the best I can." the armored creature said. The Creature walked over to Kuhaku's bed and neatened it for him, pulling the IV close to him. He looked up at the armored creature, looking a bit lost. Did he intend for him to lay back down and put the IV back in? The creature did the same for Ms. Rode, finally pulling up a chair to sit down to explain what happened. "First, I'll start my reintroducing myself and each other. It seems that Shiro has... Forgotten, so forgive me for speaking about anything redundant." Kuhaku's vision started to fade in and out. A gradually intensifying high-pitched whine irritating him, his ears twitching furiously. "I am Gren Orchid, boar faunas, also known as a-..." "Gren...? His head started to ache. The whining sound deafened him, his hearing going in and out. Allowing him to only hear bits and pieces of what Gren was saying. "...we later met with Abel Fulgurate..." "Abel..." As Gren continued explaining what happened before, Kuhaku's condition deteriorated. His vision failed him, becoming partially blind. His golden hazel eyes glazed over. The incessant high-pitched whine deafened him completely. His head felt as though it were in tightening vice grip, feeling as though it were splitting apart. Placing a hand on his forehead, he closed his eyes. "Ugh..." Unable to finish the remainder of his cake, he carefully set his fork down onto the plate and looked over at the nearby nightstand. Lifting his shaking hands, he reached over to try and set it aside. "...Shiro's semblance. He had used it to help me..." "...So I did use it..." His shaking became uncontrollable, the plate of cake slipped from his fingers and fell to the ground. The plate shattered, the fork clattered musically against the ground. Something willed him to move. He suddenly had an intense urge to leave the infirmary, not that he enjoyed his time there. Uncurling his legs, he stood and instantly crumpled to the ground with a thud. Reaching up, he grabbed the side of the bed and pulled himself up. "I have to leave.." He dragged himself around the bed. With his sense of smell still fully functioning, he located his belongings set neatly on the other side. The image of his sword and shield stood out clearly in the background of his heavily-blurred vision. "Kladenets...Perun..." Reaching out towards his weapons, his paw (hand) touched the face of the shield and a small amount of relief washed over him. Though made of cold metal, it radiated a faint warmth to Kuhaku. "I can't stay here." He pulled the sword and shield close to his chest, embracing them. "I'll lose everything. I have to-...while I can still move..." He shook his head, but that made things worse. The room felt as though it were spinning, making him feel sick. Noticing the bandages on his arms, he began to growl softly. Letting go to look at his hands, the weapons fell clanging loudly against the ground. "What am I wearing?" He looked at his body and pulled at the hospital clothing he had on. "Where...am I?" He looked around at the room, eyes still glazed over and partially blind. The deafening ringing in his ears driving him mad. He was wearing hospital clothes. It smelled like a hospital. He strongly dislikes hospitals. They reminded him too much of the time when he was found. The chemical smells and bright lights. The sterility of it all. "I have to hurry. I have to get out of here." Growling, he tore off the hospital clothing that was given to him, throwing it against the wall. Grabbing at the neatly folded pile of his clothing, he was amazingly able to somehow redress himself. Snatching up the fallen weapons, he rammed the sword into a compartment within the shield and sheathed it. The sword locked into place in the shield with a click-click. Slinging the combined pair onto his back, he stumbled to his feet. Slamming into the nearest wall, he stood for a moment leaning against it. "Wait, I made a mess right? I need to clean it u-" The high-pitched whining grew louder, his head feeling as though it were fit to burst. Shutting his eyes tight, he placed his hands on his head and gritted his fangs (teeth). He slid to the ground, on his knees. "M-my name is Kuhaku Shiro. I am 17 years old. I am a White Tiger Faunus. My parents were legendary Hunters. My mother's sword is Kladenets. My father's shield is Perun..." He repeated over and over in his head, clinging to his thoughts to prevent them from running away from him. Slowly, as the pain subsided slightly, he opened his eyes and froze in fear at what he saw. They were people. No, they were shadows. They were something. Sapphire, Gren, and Abel were gone. In their place were what Kuhaku called the Shadow Men, and they chased him ever since he was little. Following him, invading his nightmares, always there. Always just watching. He never knew what they were or what they wanted from him. They were looking at him, though not really. They had no eyes or any other physical features. Just thick, black clouds that vaguely resembled a person. They were whispering something to him or at him, but he couldn't understand what they were saying. They always appeared whenever he lost more of his memory. Just exactly how many times did he use his Semblance? He always thought the Shadow Men were the things that took his precious memories from them. All he knew was that he was scared of them. Scrambling backwards, he tried to press his body into the wall his back was against. He looked at their large forms with absolute terror and horror as they came closer to him. That's right, they were why he got the feeling that he needed to leave. They were coming for him. Eyes wide, chest heaving as he panted raggedly, he desperately sought an escape. But, he was trapped in a room with them now. They'll get him now. They'll steal more of his beloved memories. Sniffing, he smelled the clean outside air. Focusing on that scent, he blinked furiously. In a moment of clarity, he saw his way out. An open window. Bringing in his knees to press against the wall, he went for it. With one powerful heave, he lunged towards the window and cleared it. Crashing into the ground and vegetation, he rolled and tumbled a small distance. Shaking dirt and leaves from his white fur (hair) he looked up to see the Shadow Men at the window. He gave them a look of fear as he turned away from them. On all fours, he broke into a sprint. Running as far and as fast as he could, to get away. He tore through the school's campus, his vision degraded into a narrow tunnel. As he ran, tears streamed from his eyes. He blinked furiously to clear them away. "Don't forget. Don't forget. Don't forget..." he repeated to himself quietly in between breaths as he bounded away from the Shadow Men. "I must've seemed so weak." As he ran, he was confused as to why that thought creeped into his pounding mind. After a few minutes of sprinting, his healing body could take no more and he crashed into some shrubs. Breathing hard, he looked over his shoulder. No Shadow Men. He could see the building he was in off in the distance. Unmoving, he decided the ground was comfortable enough for a short break. Calming his breathing, he closed his eyes. His head still buzzed painfully. He decided he would rest here, wherever he was. He quickly fell asleep, hidden there in the greenery.

Hearing his new fearless leader say that he looked like crap he had to smile. Well she isn't wrong and stumbled after the group I hope this won't become a theme. Just walking was pain Kitty, I'm better pay you back for spearing my leg, everyone else was more or less settled by the time Victor entered the room. With a weary smile he made his way to a free bed. Instead of climbing into bed, Victor fell in the general direction of his bed, hitting the ground hard and dragging himself halfway back up before succumbing to sleep.
::FEW HOURS LATER::
It was a different dream each night for Victor, but they all end the same way, him losing his arm. Tonight he was before a Queen dressed in blue ordering it removed. Being dragged in a spiral downward into the depths of a castle Victor was unresisting as his arm was placed in some kind of guillotine, aimed to cut through his shoulder. As the blade fell it made a shrieking noise woke Victor. Rayna was standing proud armed with a whistle and launched into a speech. Attempting to lift himself up Victor went to put his weight on his right arm... and nothing was there. Falling with all the grace of a one armed man Victor slowly picked himself up and sat on the end of his bed. Utterly confused Victor started looking around for his arm. It shouldn't be hard to find, it's the size of an arm and is red with shiny parts. It doesn't exactly blend in... how did it come off? It's supposed to be battle ready... Hearing Rayna say that "We next find those Catapult scum and throw stuff at their windows" Victor had to wonder Are Catapult petty enough to steal my arm? Well they were pretty angry... damn those bastards. Grabbing some clean clothes out of his bag took longer than Victor expected, he continued trying to use his right arm. Finally dressed in a bright orange t-shirt and pale blue shorts Victor caught up to the rest of his team muttering to himself "Those bastards probably think that I can't fight without it, won't they be in for a shock when I get my hand on them!" Tugging at his empty right sleeve Victor felt unbalanced and annoyed. With frustration rising he had to speak up "Hey fearless leader! Any chance we can find Catapult any sooner? I have some things I want to ask them!"

Sapphire Rode - Infirmary

As Gren explained the situation, mostly for Shiro's benefit Sapphire got a clearer picture of what was going on. Not about the fight, Sapphire was well aware of what had happened in the tunnel though Gren's rendition made her out to be more of a hero than was strictly accurate. He spoke as if taking out the combat mech's main weapons was some sort of death defying risk but as those weapons were incapable of locking onto Sapphire thanks to her semblance till seconds before she started ripping them to pieces the risk had not really been her own. Sapphire realized as Gren continued to speak that he felt guilty about the outcome of the battle.

Somehow he'd managed to convince himself that the end product had been his fault not hers. It explained the cake, the celebration but quite frankly the notion was ridiculous. She'd collapsed the tunnel, she'd failed to escape. Her injuries were the fault of no one but herself. However she wasn't likely to argue that point to anyone or even admit it to be true. On Gren's part it was known as Survivor's Guilt, the one that escapes a dangerous situation unharmed feels responsible for those that did not. Sapphire decided that wasn't something she should mess with. Of course she easily could, pushing those particular buttons was easy but the line between guilt and grief was a thin one and she didn't have the right to be messing with either. It was best she just let it be, the last thing that anyone in Gren's position wanted was someone telling them it wasn't their fault. It was best just to let some time pass and after a while what he considered his failure wouldn't be such a big deal anymore.

Gren helped Shiro back into his bed and prepared his IV tube. He seemed ready to do the same for Sapphire however Sapphire was long past the point where anyone got to tell her when she needed to go to bed or have someone tuck her in. Rather than take the bed whose blankets Gren had been kind enough to put back on Sapphire very firmed sat herself down in one of the visitor's chairs as Gren finished his speech. She was starting to feel inadequate as a leader despite his looks Gren seemed to know a lot more about what they needed than she did. As if to expound on that point Abel fired something that sounded like an ancient proverb at him.

Sapphire looked at him, rolling her eyes. "Thank you very much for that piece of fortune cookie wisdom Fulgurate." She inclined her head in a mock bow. Had she been less damaged she likely would have stood up and gone for a full curtsy but she didn't think her ribs or her ankle could handle that right now.

Sapphire first became aware that something was wrong with Shiro (or at least something more wrong than she'd previously noticed) when she heard the splat of his cake hitting the floor. At first she thought he was merely clumsy, leaving her considering what a waste of perfectly good chocolate cake that was but it became apparent very quickly that something else was wrong. First as Shiro collapsed out of bed clawing his way towards various things. He looked like a blind man. What really worried her was when started to paw at his weapons. By the time he got to violently ripping his hospital gown to shreds and dawning his battle gear Sapphire had moved into action.

Even with a sprained ankle she was relatively fast. She didn't go to Shiro's side, which would have been useless. Whatever was wrong had clearly gone way beyond talking him down. Sapphire made a beeline for the storage cupboard in the rear of the infirmary that held the various medical supplies that Beacon's hospital staff might require at any given time. She tore it open. Unfortunately there were any number of very small bottles, all nearly identical. She ran through name after name till she found what she was looking for, a tranquilizer. If they were going to be of any help to Shiro at all first they needed him to calm down. This was the best solution. He'd be much calmer after being sedated.

Sapphire retrieved a needle from a nearby drawer and used it to draw out a small dose of the tranquilizer. It should be enough to knock him out for a few hours but there shouldn't be any lasting effects. She limped back to where there group was congregated at a surprising speed given that one of her feet couldn't take her full weight.

By the time Sapphire returned Shiro was curled up in a corner looking for all intents and purposes like a caged animal. Just as Sapphire got there Shiro made a break for the window hopping to the ground and out of site. The battle wasn't over yet. Sapphire looked out the window in the direction Shiro had fled then down at the ground beneath it. It would take too long to make it there by exiting the building. Sapphire looked down again gauging distanced. It was fifteen maybe twenty feet to the ground, soft landing. In her full form she could make the jump easily. Sapphire glanced down at her chest where she could feel the steady pulse of a large bruise cause by a broken rib. She conceded defeat. In her condition the jump would likely put so much strain on her rib that it would tear muscles, it could do all kinds of damaged, punctured lung, maybe even spinal damage, not to mention the havoc a fall from this height would wreck on her already damaged ankle.

With some difficulty Sapphire backed off from the window, as much as she hated relying on other people now was the time. Shiro was a member of her team, she was the leader which meant if anything happened to him she would be held responsible. If a member of her team ran from the infirmary in the middle of the night and they didn't take every effort to find him she could forget about being a Huntress, she'd never be allowed to return to Beacon.

She looked at both Abel and Gren. "I-I can't chase him, not like I am now. You're going to have to go after him." Sapphire shoved the needle into Gren's hand. "That's a common sedative usually used by vets. The infirmary keeps a stock of it cause it's more effective on faunus than other types. If he'd still acting like he was just now when you find him, dose him, it should keep him under for a couple of hours." Based on what he did to his IV tube at least some of that breakdown likely had to do with a phobia of hospitals. "Something tells me he doesn't like hospitals, probably some bad memories..." it wasn't like she didn't have her own unpleasant experiences regarding hospitals, they were just too sterile, you never could shake that smell. "When you catch him, it would be better he not have to come back here, the dorms should be set up by now and as far as I know he doesn't need any more physical med help." She was not going to bring up the fact that he needed serious psychological help. That could wait for another time when seconds didn't count. "He ran west, towards the dorms and the mess hall." Sapphire couldn't be completely sure given that she didn't know Shiro too well but his reaction were not dissimilar to her own when she suffered a panic attack caused by her own fear of drowning. She couldn't say for certain but it was an educated guess. "If I'm right he's going to head for somewhere open, somewhere he can see the sky, lots of trees, grass that sort of thing. And he won't be able to get far. He might've looked alright but he'd not, if his injuries don't get him exhaustion will. He won't be too far, now get going. We're on the clock." She added as an afterthought. "Set you scrolls up on conference call so I'm in the loop."

As Marcus headed over to the bed on the far left of the room, Oswald followed, falling back onto the bed next to his leader's and sighing blissfully. "Well, boss, I'm an easy enough guy to deal with, I think. A roof over my head is just about enough to keep me happy. Stay outta my bags, don't get us killed and treat people like people, and we'll get along famously." Stretching his arms out and wincing when his wrist didn't cooperate, he groaned. "Damned wrist. I'm lucky I'm right-handed. At least I can get along with that much." Looking over to the bathroom door, he screwed up his face. "Not sure I like the look that girl gave us when she went in. Almost like she half expected us to do it. Maybe even wanted it, a little, just so she could have an excuse to make trouble. Whatever, let her have her shower. I'll go last." Thinking back on a few of the camps he'd made in the past, Oswald wanted to laugh. This was living in the lap of luxury compared to home. He couldn't keep a smile off his face as he remembered a few of the people he'd left behind. He wondered whether he'd see any of them again.

Aurellius kept fairly silent as his lamentations went over everyone's heads. He hadn't been antagonizing them or anything, hell, he didn't want to be a fancy little leader in the slightest. All that he had been trying to convey was his playful display of sarcasm. Not that they had noticed in the slightest. Hell, he would've even offered the girl a smoke since her stocks were down. Of course, he wasn't much of a smoker himself. They were a bit too lowly for him. People would have thought him a common thug if they saw him smoking a bland cigarette. The sighs were inaudible as the Aurellius followed his crew down the halls of Beacon Academy, finally coming across their room with a neat little surprise waiting for them. Miss Diamond with all the ironic glamour that entailed. Seriously, who names their child 'Diamond'? It infuriated him slightly as the others claimed their beds, leaving him stuck between Miss Diamond and the meat shield. He snorted slightly as Marcus complained about his injury, making a mock jerking gesture to Oswald on the other side of Marcus. "Not sure I like the look that girl gave us when she went in. Almost like she half expected us to do it. Maybe even wanted it, a little, just so she could have an excuse to make trouble. Whatever, let her have her shower. I'll go last," the man said, eliciting another snicker of amusement from Aurellius as he sat down on his own bed. "You know, I could always take one for the team and take up her offer. Gods know that you prudes wouldn't." He stood up, right hand over his heart as he sniffled. "For the Glory of Team Moderation, of course."

"Salads good. Healthy food is good," Robert replied to Priscilla. Not knowing what else to say, he took a few more bites of his food. He continued eating until he realized just how silent they had become. In order to keep an awkward silence from occurring, Robert racked his brain for new topics to move on to. "So, what do you think about Greyson and Daniel?" he asked. While thinking though he hadn't really been paying attention to what he was doing with his hands, which were continuously dunking his cookie in his milk carton. Eventually, the continuous dunking caused the cookie to crumble and drop into the milk carton, sending milk everywhere. "Um, oops? Sorry for any milk I got on you," he apologized.

Priscilla giggled, nodding her head. "Yup! I do love the healthy food, eventhough your food looks really good..." she said laughing again silently and stabbing her salad with a fork, taking a bunch of it with the fork and then she ate. "Mmm. This is good, you should taste it if you want?" Priscilla smiled at him and looked at her glass of water, opening the cap and taking a sip of it. Now this was a wonderful moment, eating with Robert but she was getting a bit full too. Yes full out of salad. "Greyson and Daniel? Mmm. I think they are both great members for our team. Greyson was the first one I saw, so I am so glad that he got to be in the team with us. He is nice and sweet, haha. Daniel is nice too but he can be a little umm.. you know. Especially how he spoke earlier on about the bed situtation..." she told him, while putting the cap back on the water bottle. She felt a bit of milk drop on her left hand but she wiped it away quickly looking up at Robert and laughing as she blushed from embarrassment. "Haha. That's okay, Robbie. No worries. But I do want some of that cookie!~" Priscilla winked at him, grabbing a napkin and cleaning out the milk that spurted everywhere in the table that they sat down. Even some milk that was on Robert's shirt, it was noticeable but she managed to clean it up with a napkin. "Alrighty. So, what do you think of them?"

"Thank you," Robert said as Priscilla cleaned up the milk. He was relieved that she hadn't gotten irritated by the milk splashing, even if only a little bit got on her. In fact, he was so relieved that he let out a light chuckle. When Priscilla said that she'd like some of the cookie, he handed her the half that hadn't fallen into the milk. Robert also tipped the milk a bit in her direction so that she could dunk her half as well if she wanted to. He would eat the half that had fallen in... after Priscilla had dunked to her satisfaction of course, he didn't want to stick his hand in there if she was going to use it. "Hmm? What do I think about them? Hmmmmmmm. Well, while I did run into Daniel before you and Greyson, I didn't really get to talk to him beyond sharing my name and him his before running into you guys. So, I knew him about as well as you or Greyson. So yeah, that bed comment took me by surprise. I hope he isn't normally like that. Anyway, Greyson. He seems like a pretty nice guy. I can't help but think there's something that he wants, but I don't know what. And yeah, that's about it," he said when Priscilla asked the same question back. Robert looked at the upper section of his peripheral vision, expecting to see the time and temperature function that appeared on the HUD of his visor. He had forgotten that he had taken his visor off right after the battle several hours ago. He was just so used to almost always having it on that he'd forgotten what it was like not to. Robert reached into his pocket with the goal of taking out his visor to put it on only to see what time it was when his hand brushed by another object in his pocket. He suddenly remembered the scrolls that the Beacon staff had passed out during initiation. That had a time function! He could just use that instead of having to put on his visor, something that Robert always felt made him feel detached from conversation. It wasn't that a big of a deal, but Robert couldn't help but feel a little excited about this new technology that he now officially owned. He looked at the time given by the scroll. "Hmm, we should probably get back to our room. I haven't heard anything about a curfew, but if there is one we're probably nearing it. Let's quickly grab something for Greyson and Daniel to eat and go."

Mokuren's mental durability was snapped at the hearing of her nickname 'moku-moku'. Her future meal was babbling, but by now she couldn't even understand what he was trying to say. "Isn't a nickname supposed to be shorter, or easier to say than the original name?" she muttered out loud, before looking to the other man. "You are crazy, and you speak out of your ass" She stated bluntly, before turning to walk off. "i'm going into town now, there are things I need to do" She told the group, turning and stiffly walking away. The craziness of this group was going to be the death of them. She wasn't sure she could handle then even when she wasn't fighting the urge to kill them.

Geni sighed dreamily as Mokuren walked away angrily. He was defiantly into her, he liked the angry, I wanna kill you now types. Unfortunately, Geni had a feeling that if she had not left, something bad may have happened. Geni had a knack for doing stuff like that, pushing people over the edge, but nothing had ever sent shivers down his spine. He would have to work on that, find away to get past that hard exterior and find away into that soft interiorof hers, if she had one. Geni had to wonder what she was going into town though, were they not supposed to get ready for bed? It was getting pretty late. But if anything happened, Geni knew that she could handle it, she had handled the Salamander Nest fine, so anything in the city would be like child's play for her, at least that's what he hoped. "Bye beautiful!" He yelled as she disappeared for view. "Im going to head for the dorms, long day tomorrow." He said to the rest of his teammates as he walked away, tomorrow would defiantly be a long day, for his fellow students.
