Hey wait, isn't enhancing your soldiers with Phazon a really bad idea? Like, "every soldier we've even let SNIFF a sample of Phazon turned into a howling monster that killed anything it could find and proceeded to melt over the course of the next few hours" bad? Unless the Phazon was simultaneously invading the GalFed armada at the same time Arragoz and company were, I don't see how any soldiers could be "enhanced" by it.

ALSO! GFS is highly advanced in technology and can easily outclass SE soldiers with Phazon enhancements for instance. So stealth would be interesting here.

Wouldn't that take out the fun of it? I mean, if you use an AU to get around the rules of an established universe, that seems a lot less interesting than applying new stuff to it while still being within the confines of the established rules. For example, a bomb that spreads Phazon would be a fairly devastating weapon, and also wouldn't be out of place at a forbidden zombie research facility like the Umbrella we're at, leading to Phazon afflicted mutants. Hell, Phazon Nemesis. If you really need to enhance your characters, use one of the myriad of augments that don't require blatantly ignoring a franchise's canon. There's exosuits, gene therapy, and similar stuff from multiple games and shows you could use.

Yeah, PED. Otherwise it kills you unless you directly fuse with it (as did Samus, the Hunter and all the Leviathan Guardians including Ridley at one point). Since in this universe a source of Phazon exists, they have access to it, though further research would likely be prohibited due to the catastrophic crisis it caused back then. Edit: I'm not sure if Phazon renders someone mindless but rather corrupts them pretty badly. But yes they become pretty damn ugly if directly exposed without a specific procedure. 2nd Edit @IncredibleBee: I'm not planning on turning Ridley into Omega, as that guy sucked major balls. The enhancement shit would be kind of dumb given the millions of things possible. Also, I was going to expand on the reason as to why Phaaze had spread, I mean it was its ultimate goal. The fact that it used interdimensional wormholes to shit seeds anywhere in the universe does leave a lot to play on. Anyway I'm only interested in its ability to corrupt, rather than its vague enhancement capabilities.
