Behold the god of carnivorous insect slimes that have meat inside their external goo!

Title: The Amorphous Jowls
Intent: At first glance, The Amorphous Jowls wants to create a world he considers perfect. Granted, his definition of "perfect" is a little odd. The ideal world The Amorphous Jowls seeks (name is plural, but he's a singular?) to create is one where every species can kill each other to the content of their respective hearts, and not actually put anybody in an extinct or endangered state. A world where even vegetation is meat, and everybody can eat and kill each other all day long. From there, he wants to figure out which species turns out to be the strongest, help them take over the world, then stage an uprising where said strongest species goes extinct. Then he'd want to make another species from bacteria that evolves up and overthrow the new global rulers. The Amorphous Jowls wants to rinse and repeat this process until he manages to create a species somehow capable of outsmarting him. So ultimately, his intent is to be defeated by his own creations when giving his all.

Title: To Sow the Seeds of Harmony

Intent: To create a being that can fully become one with which it inhabits to the extent that it becomes nearly impossible to tell between land and creature. A possibly fully encompassing organism that becomes the planet in which it inhabits, regardless of what havoc it wreaks or what harmony it creates along the way. If its purpose requires the consumption of a certain genus of beings, then it will do so with undeniable prejudice and cease to stop until the threat is eliminated. It intends to create an entire symbiotic ecosystem to encompass whatever may live from the land it is made from. If a subject fails to realize its purpose in evolution, the entity which created it will immediately find a new being to harbor the task of symbiotic perfection. This being is generally indifferent to anything that is not its creature until its creature ultimately (and possibly inevitably) fails it.

You've found my weakness: I have a deep seated hatred for the color yellow. :( It doesn't help that mine looks like a mix between jaundice and mustard.

Well, posting from a 3DS could be tricky...

Anyway, very much liking our Sower and the Jowls, l'd love to see them in action. I'll begin as soon as I can then. Let's see if we can maintain activity like this in-character.

Atuna, we are always accepting newcomers to my harem- Uh, roleplay. Welcome aboard.

Tobiax, I'm finding That Which Moves's Intent confusing... Is it trying to create a more comfortable world for other life, or trying to create a stable biosphere? The Deep One already appears to have that in mind, so you may want to clarify.

With regards to starting, I think I need to stress that we will not be controlling bacteria or archaea at any point. They are omnipresent and do all the things bacteria do on Earth, but they would be complicated and unfamiliar to roleplay. As stated, the roleplay begins with the start of complex cells, not the start of life in general, or of multicellular life (we take that step ourselves whenever we wish). This is to keep the start-up smooth and to stop us from getting stuck in wibbley-wobbly-slimey-wimey extremely small-scale stuff. If you want to take on adaptations that could only have occured in the simple cell stage, you can do so by consuming bacteria that's already there and stealing their genes while you're an amoeba. Sorry Science.

A few quick questions: Is our spheres at 100? And is there is any going to be any entity progression or just species progression? I think having it so that our spheres gradually increase and having unique abilities could be fun. Though it is just a thought.

Your Sphere starts out 100% unused, so you can use it as you would at any other point in the game, although the only thing that's there for you to change is your 'starting point' of amoeba things. As soon as you begin to create changes and separate species, that Sphere will split quickly. However, I might change the percentage mechanic slightly so that no-one is operating at full power at the very beginning, only reaching that point when the amount of species present on the planet stabilises. I'll burn that bridge when I get to it. >_<

As for unique abilities... The only thing Entities can do is watch things, and use their Sphere. The active part of the roleplay is the species they manipulate, which can have all kinds of abilities and will interact with each other in all kinds of ways, so... What kind of abilities would the Entities have, exactly? I'm all ears.

One interesting ability an Entity could have might be manipulating there species on a subtle level once they are settled and stable. Kind of like when, say, a God might suddenly draw their species to migrate to a safer area, or maybe they could cause extinction events prematurely. Say once an era to wipe out competition around them, or to 'wipe the slate clean' and get their Spheres back to 100% immediately, for emergencies.

No. Deep One wants to go all Robo-Cop on things that don't cooperate (so it seems). That Which Moves (need to change that name, maybe...) would allow things to be out of its control, and accepts that things can't be. It asserts that sometimes things need to be "weak", "imperfect", or at the bottom of the food chain. It understands that not everything's connected.

And I intend to start as complex cells yes.

Ok, I am bored so I am just going to make a whole system. You can take this how you wish, you can throw it out, you can take parts of it, or you can take it all. So the idea is that there is two types of abilities I am looking at in particular, each interacting in different ways and all based on your entity. The three types would be: Imbuement and Phenomena. We could add more if this catches on. But these are the two most basic types for lore sake.

Phenomena is about interacting with the environment, whereas Imbuement interacts with a certain thing within the environment. For example, if you are an god who revolves around water, one of/or your single phenomena would be to cause flooding in an area so your fishes have more room. (I have a way to balance this) Your imbuement might to be to target a coral reef and increases its growth.

In order to balance this out, in order to cast either of these you need to use some of your influence. The effects last for as long as you're willing to use those sphere to maintain your influence over the area or object. The amount of Sphere percentage you use determines the power of the effect.

I think the system for learning spells is that you must first get them approve by a GM or Co-Gm, and then you have to use 20 of your sphere to try to learn it. After a set amount of time, which is up to the GM or Co-Gms judgement, you can learn it.

I don't know, I am bored. The RP probably would be just fine without it, but I think having the option to have a bit more control. I also think that having control over the environments would be a fun way to more directly interact. You can't just say "I use magic, and kill some of your creatures" but you can create a plague or earthquakes to do it for you, but at the same time, that might hurt your creatures as well or consume lots of valuable sphere values.

Edit/Continuation Another type of ability is Sanctuary. Basically, you may expand X amounts of your sphere temporally to create a structure or something of the like (Like maybe a forest/stone pillar/ etc) and it is a heavy amount at first. (Like 30 up, very possibly 50 up) but after its construction you don't have to pay for it. Sanctuaries are basically areas with continuous on going passives in an area. You pay you did to build it in order to than improve it. Another thing that separates Sanctuaries from phenomena other than how there cost work is that Sanctuaries are full-fledged things. Other entities and NPCs can interact with your sanctuaries. Like phenomena, they can try to take advantage of your sanctuaries for there own goals, or destroy or hinder them if they interfere with your goals.

I think if one were to attempt to kill another players species, they'd subtly influence their own species to directly or indirectly affect said creature through evolution. Like Termite's example with the large whale and the small fish. They'd adapt to have an appetite for larger creatures, sharper teeth, blade like dorsal fins, etc. Through that, they'd either over hunt them onto the verge of extinction or the entity retaliates by building up defenses.

If I have any input (of course I do, it's just a matter of whether my input is relevant to the GM or not. QQ) I do like the idea of manipulating the environment, though I think the intended purpose of the RP is to focus on the evolutionary process and what certain deities would do if given limited control of species that aren't already maintained by other entities, of which they've no idea about. The throwing of my two cents. Nom nom. If I'd compare your idea to anything at all, I'd compare it to the entity you play in the Indie game 'From Dust' where you aren't allowed to directly affect the tribe you watch over, but you can indirectly do so by manipulating the surrounding area, be that the ground or the water, etc.

Of course, there should be some fine tuning done to be able to incorporate it well into the RP itself. Failsafes, etc. to keep from overly making a, pardon my French, douche of yourself by intentionally and continuously trolling another entity through the environment. @_@ I'm fine with introducing entropy into the mix (we have an entity designed for that), 'cause it'd be boring not to, it's just the overstepping part that can really be problematic. Everything needs guidelines to prevent from abuse.
