...Again, we don't really have multi-field forms over here. Tab did exactly nothing for me until now (didn't try with thread creation, maybe it does something when there is a title field and text field). As it is? It is basically useless unless it is tab character.

Er, and no - I don't ever use external documents for post creation, so it is not really an acceptable workaround.
Edit(for the sake of curiosity, I suppose): Copying over a snippet of code with tab characters in it from a plain text file seemed to work fine in preview, though; don't feel like hunting down a rich text editor for the express purpose of finding out whether the tab characters in would be preserved.

Oy, and plenty of browser-based text editors do accept tab characters. So it is not like tab characters are unheard of in browser environments... In forums? Yes, typically no tab there. Elsewhere? Some Wikis, all net-based code editors, many plain text and pre-format entry fields, et cetera, all those accept tab characters without a hitch.
More bizarrely, even plenty of HTML form text fields I've encountered accept tab characters just fine, they just get omitted once the text is rendered, excluding when it is interpreted as pre-rendered text. To think of, some forums let you enter tab characters, but later omit them, too...

It works for jumping from post box to post reply button. I navigate my browser with the keyboard quite a bit, and tab is an invaluable tool. It's also critical for mobility-impaired users, and also possibly for those on a console and other non-traditional systems.

It did not do that for me, for instance - it is device/browser-specific function. (Actually, if it did do it, I'd probably have been not too happy with it in here ... hitting tab while writing is so ingrained in me that I keep doing it even when tab has exactly nil effect...)
It is also one move per post, rather than the two-three dozen for average RP post (well, that's me in advanced section, but regardless) - and I'd say it is far more taxing for someone with hand problems to go shift-tab three dozen times than once.

Possibly for those on a console and other non-traditional systems.
Not really relevant with consoles or touch-based systems. Can't really think of any other non-traditional system?

Not sure if anyone has suggested this already, and while I know the Co-GM abilities are probably a way down the works, but would it ever be possible for the GM to be able to select which posts the Co-GM is actually able to Co-Edit as opposed to just the default first post? Say in the situation the GM makes an announcement later in the thread, or if there's a couple of reference posts at the beginning as can happen with RPs involving well developed worlds.

I figure the easiest way to do this (based on my limited knowledge of coding) would be some sort of toggle option for the thread creator to enable or disable the Co-GM's ability to edit their posts. Not sure how this would work in the Co-GM made a post however as this would obviously need to be a two way street so to speak.

Just wondering, would it be possible to implement stuff so we could use bold, italicize, and underline in custom titles?

Erm, @Mahz Recently whenever I tried to save a change to a profile setting in 'Edit', I keep getting a 'Internal Server Error' message. I usually use Google Chrome and even tried to use Internet Explorer to see if it'd work when I tried to save a change or edit my bio but I got the same message f(^_^') Is the error something my end that's messing up? How would I be able to fix it?

Fixed. I re-organized some code last night (split it up into smaller files) and broke some things. :(

No, that's not what I was looking for. While you have made it so we can have multiple lines per dot point, you have not allowed for any separation between dot points.

This:
[list]
[*]Line 1

[*]Line 2

[*]Line 3
[/list]
Still renders as:

  • Line 1
  • Line 2
  • Line 3

That is, lacking any spacing.

We rather like lists that default without unnecessary extra spacing. But if you really want an extra line between points, the simplest solution is to add this: [color=#2e2c2c].[/color] on your blank lines.

This weekend I'd like to implement a big feature. So far I'm thinking it'll be full-text search functionality.

I see. I'll experiment with full whitespace preservation to see how it impacts how most people expect BBCode lists to work. For example, people often use newlines to organize/space-out their BBCode markup and don't intend for them to create extraneous newlines in the resulting post.

Worst case scenario, if I don't think it's a good default setting, I'll make it an opt-in/advanced feature: [list=preserve] or something like that where prefix/suffix newlines are not trimmed off.

We rather like lists that default without unnecessary extra spacing. But if you really want an extra line between points, the simplest solution is to add this: [color=#2e2c2c].[/color] on your blank lines.

More robust (less likely to break in the future) work-arounds would be:

- Use a new list for every bullet point.
- Use [indent] + your own bullet character.

Ellri, instead of using noparse + color, you can use [code].
