Name: Cartog the Surveyor

Alias: Cartog the Surveyor

Age: 19 in Mercatorian years, not accounting for time spent in cryosleep.

Personality: Cartog looks down on humans, seeing them as a normal exterminator would see an exceptionally aggressive termite infestation- superpowered termites, yes, but still termites. On the other hand, he's not exactly motivated, and tends to keep to his hours - which he announces before he starts working - unless seriously provoked.

Powers:
Implements of Klesh - Cartog possesses a mystical map and stylus with advanced geoforming capabilities, allowing him to alter the surrounding terrain at will. Generally speaking, the smaller-scale the effects are, the faster they come into effect. The Implements, being powerful artifacts of Cartog's race, are keyed to his genetic makeup and all written components are in a dead language that predates the human race, so it'd be tough to find someone else who could use it. The Implements are, additionally, effectively indestructible.
Mercatorian - Cartog is a Mercatorian, a race of slug-like bipedal humanoids characterized by an immunity to psionic attack and precise low-level telekinesis (he can lift about as much as an average person can lift with one arm). In addition, Cartog has access to a number of advanced technologies possessed by his race, the most commonly used being a belt that projects an invisible field of force around the wearer's body, deflecting most forms of attack.

Weakness: He makes a point of only working his designated hours, and rarely puts in overtime- if he can be stalled until it comes time to clock out, he'll usually just leave. Also he's really squishy without his forcefield. Like, anemic middle-schooler squishy.

Bio: Cartog the Surveyor is the last surviving inhabitant of Mercatoria, the others having died in a tragic terraforming accident. Cartog, a surveyor working for the Greater Interplanetary Exploration Society, was off-planet at the time cataloging fauna. When he found out what had happened, he turned in his resignation and left for parts unknown, taking on jobs as a freelance exterminator. At some point in prehistory, Cartog was contracted to rid the planet of their ape infestation. A simple enough job, had he access to a Mother Box or the like- as it was, he was forced to use slower-than-light travel, laying dormant in cryosleep for roughly 250,000 years until he had finally arrived on Earth. Touching down on the planet, he realized that they had evolved over the time he had spent in transit, developed all sorts of technology, built up cultures, etc. Good for them, but Cartog had been paid in advance, and he wasn't about to bail on a job just because the pests in question had created their own civilization.

Arc Ideas:
Fumigation: Cartog gives up on trying to exterminate humanity the hard way and decides to set off the Yellowstone supervolcano in an attempt to start a new ice age.
Overtime: Someone attacked Cartog when he was off the clock. Now he's pissed, and he isn't stopping at 5:00 anymore.

Other: Titans Forever.

Are you guys still accepting characters?

Yup, we're not full so go ahead.

Have room for another villain?

Sure I guess, but I have been rethinking that whole hero and villain thing.

@KriticalKrab

What about Marilyn in the story post? :( [Also me and SilverDawn both agreed on what happened in my post]

Ah, I wasn't sure exactly what you guys had planned. But I'll throw in some interference.

What exactly are small scale effects, and how long would something like an earthquake need to activate?

Naruto is the story of a blonde orphan developing an unhealthy romantic obsession with a usually-shirtless constantly whining emotionally abusive psycho. Also, all the villains except said whining psycho are Naruto BUT EVIL in some way. And don't get me started on the tech level or the mistreatment of Naruto, the one thing keeping Kyubii from wrecking everyone's day. But eh, to each his own.

ReaptheMusic was referring to a previous story post, of which I have changed. You might have to edit a little, but it shouldn't be much. I'll put up a story after either Reap or Silver has posted.

Small scale to the point of being near-instantaneous are things like raising walls of rock to defend himself, causing pillars to erupt out of the ground, creating narrow fissures to trip people up, and other localized effects.
Large-scale tectonic activity depends on magnitude of the event, with a 4.0 (just enough shaking to be noticeable, very low chance of structural damage) taking... let's say ~10 minutes, assuming Jump City isn't on a geologic fault. From there, the time needed doubles at each interval (5.0 is 20 minutes, 6.0 is 40, 7.0 is 80, and so on).

Well I'd allow you to start your guy off as if he was already on the ship rescuing people. He could have been one of the many abducted and he's just now making an escape, or you could start your guy off on the streets helping with damage control.

I'm also assuming your character can be interrupted, I'm going to Accept your character. Feel free to move him over when you feel like it.

Is there like a Teen Titans now or planned for later or something? I've only really skimmed so far and I haven't really seen any sort of hero legion. I saw something in the OP about having reasons for heroes to join together but I'm just curious if anything has been established yet. I'm most likely going to be a villain but like I said, I was just wondering.

There isn't a formal team right now. Young heroes are coming out because the Justice League and other known heroes are MIA.

Well if she gets up and about every few years wouldn't she be a bit older? I'm also hesitant to accept her because she seems to be a deathstroke copy, but If you can play her right I'm willing to allow this. I accept.

Well yes, she was about 17 when she was first frozen, and she has aged a year. But it's not like she's just hanging out of ice suspension for months at a time, she's just out for a couple days to a week before completing her mission and returning to her ice chamber so she doesn't age much. Her mind is kind of robotic, so she doesn't have like the free will of the average human mind that would compel her to quit the cryogenics routine. And the only real similarities between her and Deathstroke is that they're both deadly assassins and that I used an image of his daughter as a picture for her armor which doesn't really even count as a similarity to Deathstroke. Most people see Deathstroke as a cold-hearted killer just like Gretchen is, but actually Deathstroke is supposed to be the bad guy with a heart of gold. So I wouldn't consider her a copy of him at all. And thanks for accepting!

nnnnoooo.... Deathstroke is a professional asshole. He's an awful, remorseless person who kills people for money. Captain Boomerang II and Overdrive are less terrible characters, since at least they have a few redeeming qualities. Aside from that, it reads like a genderswapped evil Captain America. If you're dead set on using a Nazi, it's hard to take it serious if you play it straight in this day and age.

In summary...
