Mithias wanted to explain further, but now was not the time. Hank's life was most certainly in danger in this war, but like his father before him, he must be left free to make his own decisions. Still, that didn't mean abandoning him.

Red eyes framed by snow white lashes peered at him kindly, yet fiercely expectant. What complicated machinations were turning behind them? Bedivere insisted on this preemptive attack, just the two of them, against a well armed compound of trained soldiers who had the experience of a previous assault and were knowingly at war. Did he really understand what he was about to get them into? The others at Magnus' bunker wouldn't even know they were fighting, and if they got in over their heads, Mithais was the least likely to escape.

On the other hand, a brief assault could be profitable. They would do the most damage initially, and then leave just as proper defenses could be initialized. Bedivere was indeed a relic, but some principles of war did not change. ...he was also insanely powerful in the dark.

Mithias hesitated briefly as he watched Bedivere outstrech a hand, then looked at his elder companion's face, searching for his resolve and intent. What he saw struck him. It was strangely, a need. Bedivere couldn't do this, wouldn't do this, without him. It was a request to be trusted and to be believed in. He had called Mithias his brother. Would the Gabrielin prince live up to it?

Mithias grabbed his hand and stood up with him, eye to eye, glaring as he held on tight. Bedivere was not just a manipulator, but a fighter, like himself. Mithias trusted him, and in many ways admired him, for he was far more alive than so many other burnt-out purposeless elders. "Let's do this." The younger said, a twinkle of fire in his yellow eyes.

Damn it, where did he go..
Only moments later she received Katya's message "Rendevous close to the woods i saw him leave in that direction.".
Hmpf, so thats where this cheeky lil' bastard ran off to..
"Got it! I will be there in a minute!" Allison replied with a smile on her face. You won't get away this time. She put back her radio and started running to the rendezvous point.

Hank wasn't sure what to do, He was not able to kill the vampire that turned him, and he was unable to do his job. Both of those were unacceptable in his book. This vampire was making a fool of him! He could go back to basic vampire hunting, he could try to track down this vampire on his own, or he could go to SOLDIER and try to explain to them what happened.

He started working his way to the rendezvous point, all he could do now was hope that someone knew who he was, and that no one asked how Mithias got away. Though if they did it wouldn't be the first time Hank had to cover up something he did.

SOLDIER base.

The front half and majority of the compound was surrounded by an 8 foot high stone wall with razorwire over the top. The main gate, opening on Main street, was flanked by two small towers. A guard house stood just up the road to check ID's on anyone requesting entry. The western half of the compound encircled a small airport and 2 long runways that went out into the airfield behind the base. The far fields were enclosed, but merely by a 13 foot chainlink fence with more razorwire. The place was constantly lighted, of course, and cameras silently recorded every possible entry. The headquarters, and weapons depot were also under heavy surveillance for obvious reasons.

Mithias approached from the trees outside the wall and watched a guard walk methodically from post to post in his nightly routine. Suddenly his communicator went off. "Camera out in section 17, near mess hall. Agent Smith, that's your detail. Please investigate with caution." The guard stopped for a moment, then changed direction, heading back to where Mithias had just shot out one of the cameras with his pistol.

Somewhere on base a dog started barking.

In HQ, two agents were hoping for another quiet night. "What the hell?? Jerry. We just lost another camera."

"The fuck?" Jerry got up and looked at the monitors. "Turn number 57 to see." He waited while his friend tried to get a view on what had happened. Suddenly a third screen went blank, then a fourth. Jerry's face went white with fear.

"...we just lost seven cameras."

"Call the General! Now!" Jerry said as he pulled himself together. "Quickly! They're heading right for us!"

But it was too late. Mithais was already inside the base, slaying armed guards one after another, staying off camera, shooting out lights, and moving faster than the eye could follow like a wind of death toward the HQ building. He slipped a stolen keycard in the door scanner.

"Hello? General Fenix sir? We have a situation. Systematically downed surveillance in sections..." A gasp and some gunfire is heard. "You bloodsucking bastard! No!!" The phone goes silent.

The vampire's eyes glowed a familiar red as he hesitated, staring at the phone that had fallen to the floor. The room was dark except for the light of a number of monitor screens. Mithias listened for a voice on the other end of the line. He and Bedivere didn't have much time.

"AGENT" General fenix screamed down the phone. the line was dead, this wasnt the first or the last time the SOLDIER base would be raided, but with half his Task Force out Chasing HVT he didnt seem to have so much faith in his average troops. Marcus grabbed his radio from the desk and dialled in on the Task Force's radio frequency. "Allison, Katya i want you back here imediatly. we are CODE RED, Repeat CODE RED" he said dropping the radio and returning to his desk. He opened the draw on his Revolver. picking it up he flipped it over a couple of times before loading it. "Maybe you will get to taste the sweet taste of blood again, Old friend" he said, grinning .

"Allison, Katya i want you back here immediately. we are CODE RED, Repeat CODE RED"

Was Hank using a frequency he was not authorized for well freelancing for SOLDIER? Maybe. But he didn't need the radio to know that something was going on, He has been sitting on the roof to the barracks for a few hours now, Just listening. Then he heard it, the sounds of broken bones, suppressed gun shots, someone was here, and they were looking for a fight.

Hank jumped off the roof and ran to a crate holding his belongings that had survived the fire. Most of his gear was useless now because of his... Transformation... But some of it still had use. He grabbed his armor and his blades, He was going to end this once and for all. Then he grabbed something he hasn't used in years, He grabbed an old sawed off shotgun. Short effective range, but easy to carry and light.

Hank ran through the base following the trail of dead bodies left though out the base. he followed it into one of the secure sections that under normal circumstances he would not be allowed into. He could smell the blood everywhere, it was tempting to start drinking all of it, but Hank was focused on self control, he REFUSED to turn into what he hunted. Which was hard, finding a substitute was not easy.

Hank walked into the security office as Mithias was focused on something, Hank didn't care though. He raised the sawed off and pointed it to the other Vampire. "We were not done talking when you left so rudely. This is the third time we have met and I still do not know your name." He kept the gun trained on Mithias, His reflexes were a lot faster then before, with his finger on the trigger and two slugs in the gun, one false move and he was dead. Though Hank wasn't going to kill him, yet. "I want answers, and I want them now. Got it?"

Ok almost there...
Before Allison could reach the Rendevous point she received another message "Allison, Katya i want you back here imediatly. we are CODE RED, Repeat CODE RED".
They are attacking HQ? Damn, was it all just a bait?
Instead of moving to the point Allison turned around and was heading to the HQ now. Meanwhile she contacted Katya "You received it too huh? Little change, the new Rendevous point is at HQ, contact the other teams as well. Since I am closest to HQ I will head there immediately, Allison out.".

Soon she arrived at the main entrance gate to the base, usually there would be a guard out there, but no one was at sight and the gate was open.
Allison loaded her sub-machinegun with a new magazine, then she entered the base.
I hope I am not too late to the party!

Accepted into the night once more.
Taken into the blackest mist.
To make the code red, redder.

They parted ways, one blade and another, two deaths sent by the divines to purge Kilo Point. A bloodbath to be sure as the corpses dropped. Those who stood in the old vampire's way was cut down, swiftly dispatched like rank amateurs with a single stroke. Not even bothering to greet them as they warranted him to stop, Bedivere's draw was unseen, his approach swift and his re-sheathing clean. To him at least, these humans moved at a crawl, drawing their guns out and shouting for him to stop as he casually drew up his blade from within his umbrella. Long since had it remained out of sight from mortal man, and yet there it was now in the fractions of a second it revealed itself from within the handle of the posh fashion accessory. A tapering edge, sharpened on both sides, mounted to the curved wooden handle. No crossguard, but only a metal blade extending itself out, few would even guess that it was the legendary blade Excalibur. Yet, upon the smooth flat the writings, engraved in the Latin the words "susceperunt" and on the other "adlisisti." For it was the blade which held the power of Excalibur, the pommel, hilt, grip and all the rest were merely a vessel for it. And as such darker and darker did the halls of the Solider Base grow as the light was consumed by the flowing darkness from the reddening blade. Fire as they may into the darkness, the pale lord marks his approach, wading into their wall bullets without a fear nor flinch. He was a creature of the night, and dark. They would learn their bullets would do nothing against the black mist.

All is dead as Bedivere adjusts his cuffs, his appearance changed to that of a man in his mid 20's. His hair still white, his eyes a hungry red, and his power all the same. The old blood had not bothered with using doors, preferring to make his own as he sliced open the walls and pried them open. Cry Bloody murder Mortals. This would surely reduce their chances of a successful counterattack, not that these fools would have lasted any longer against him. For the most part Bedivere came out unscathed, only his suit came out stained from all of it to which he would definitely have to send for cleaning before their next attack. Perhaps it was time to check up on Mithias, surely the boy was capable of dispatching these pathetic humans, but he always managed to get himself into a tight spot. As Bedivere well knew.

"How Quaint." Bedivere commented as he walked in, yes walked in, upon Hank and Mithias. Calm and collected, getting the drop on Hank as the darkness filtered into the room with him. His friend was held up at gun point by this maggot. Wait, no, this one smelled different, he was one of them a child of the night. A child of Mithias. "So, is this your boy My Brother?" A sharp sensation behind his back would suggest to Hank the tip of a blade being held up against him. "If he wants answers, tell him to put the gun down. I would have already killed him if he wasn't your own."

Mithias took a slow step out of the shadows to face the vampire hunter. Even though Hank was now also a vampire, Mithais still looked inhuman to him, like a wild animal with swords. Was that what he was like now too?

"I've been expecting you, Hank." Mithias spoke, keeping his eyes on his angry child. He did not raise any weapons in response, but he didn't need to. The young vampire looked strained, withered, and it was apparent that he had been struggling with his new race. Mithias was familiar with the incessant nagging of starvation and that it only made the bloodthrist more powerful. No matter how obstinate Hank was, it would eventually snap him. It would be the first of many lessons in Hank's new life.

"Excellent timing." Mithias commented as Bedivere made his presence known. The oldblood lord looked noticeably younger, and just as Mithias inadvertently took that notice, he could have sworn he saw a slight smirk from Bedivere in response. ... He continued addressing the flanked fledgling. "Behind you is Lord Bedivere of Sinews, with a blade that has tasted more blood than the three of us combined. I suggest you don't do anything stupid, or he'll kill you before I could possibly do anything about it." Mithias exhaled heavily. They were running out of time. "Drop your weapon, Hank. I'd hate to watch you die."

Hank thought he finally had the upper hand, He had the vampire that turned him in his sights, Shotgun trained on his head, and even though he was not at full strength he felt more then strong enough to take on Mithias. Then he felt it, the damn blade hit his vest. Another vampire?! Hank though he could take on Mithias, but something was different about the one behind him... He was... Older, he could smell the difference between him and Mithias. Hank had the revolver in its holster still and he was fast, but there was a difference between fast and the upper hand, He didn't know if the vampire was strong enough to force the blade through his armor but what he did know is if he went for one vampire the other would get him. So now he was debating on taking Mithias's head off with the shotgun and getting himself killed, or lowering the gun and wait and see.

He lowered the shotgun from Mithias but never broke eye contact with him. He refused to speak to the two of them, he knew who his enemy was, he hated the idea of talking to them, let alone obeying them. He didn't know enough on the new vampire, this 'Lord Bedivere' as he was called, But he had a feeling he could take on the first one if it came to it.

A tense moment passed, but Hank finally lowered his gun. So it seemed the vampire he'd turned wasn't a complete fool afterall, but a fool nonetheless. Mithias narrowed his eyes at Hank in all seriousness. "I turned you... you bigoted clodhopper, because I am sick of your kind, and I chose to teach you, specifically, a lesson. Who I am isn't important, but I suppose I owe it to you. I am Mithias Varomere." The name didn't seem to register with Hank, or at least he had yet to hear of the semi-famous ex-SOLDIER elite agent Varomere. Mithias honestly had no idea how he'd even react if he knew. He added, "You may want to keep that information to yourself, lest your dear SOLDIER organization find it of interest." Mithias walked around to the side Bedivere was standing. "Regardless, I'm afraid you won't be killing me, not today, Hank, but let me give you some advice before we once again part ways. Do not give SOLDIER your trust, my child. And if you want to live long enough to understand anything and become more than a misused pawn, then leave this place before tomorrow night." He looked at him with scrutiny. "You won't last an hour in your unfed condition, but SOLDIER certainly won't mind using you as cannon fodder."

A light whirring.....
A gentle thud....Eod, was home. He saw Bedivere and Mithais's attack commence, and he had stayed back, observing some of their actions, knowing full well he could not stop them, not then...but then they made a mistake. They cornered Hank, Bedivere holding him at blade point....
Calculating...best course of action....Surprise attack. He moved about on the high ground of the building, looking for a good drop down point. A spot where he could get behind one of the vampires. He did in fact find it.
Like something akin to a caped crime fighter dropping in on thugs, Eod drops down behind Mithias, raising his shotgun to be right between Mithias's shoulder blades. The round chambered, a large hunk of metal able to be fired at enough force to blow a fist sized hole though a car, let alone a human chest.
"Drop your weapon, and let the soldier personnel go, vampire, or there will be...trouble." Eod says, and he would be quite the oddity to Bedivere and Mithias. No blood...but....Oils...whirring of engines....A machine, though and though. An android, one in a rather silly get up. Eod was late to save some of the others in Kilo point, but he would attempt to stop the blood shed here.

"Excuse me, gentlemen." Mithias suddenly turned toward the door and took 3 swift steps before a super-hero outfitted machine-cyborg of some sort landed right in front of him outside the exit. Before Eod could even fully stand up and say his lines, he was met with a swift kick to the chest area that sent him flying. In war, a fool's first mistake is his last.

The gear-spinning and joint rotations had been audible enough for a vampire to easily notice, and after dealing with Kaminokage, Mithias would not be surprised by a lesser robotic construction. What did surprise him, was the super-hero outfit. Eod certainly had been a secret to him while he was in SOLDIER, so the vampire wasn't sure what the hell to expect. Without so much as introducing himself, Mithias pulled his guns and fired a few rounds into the crazy getup to see what kind of armor it had. He didn't see any obvious explosives, but the damn thing could still have them. "Bedivere. We're leaving."

Trough shimmering echoes a familiar voice popped into the minds of the two Vampires.
"You haven't returned yet. You were going to get rid of some scouts, did you get sidetracked?"
A mental message send by Magnus's psionic mind. As direct and invasive as ever.
"If you've gotten yourselves in trouble I might have to laugh at you."

A mild annoyance.
These children and their toys.
What could a machine offer?
No oil is blood.

Checking his pocketwatch, yes a pocketwatch as a classic gentleman would carry one, Bedivere glanced up at the metal man and child of Mithias. Smiling internally to himself, the elder watched as Mithias scolded his first. The boy had much to learn about instilling the proper amount of fear and respect. It is a fine line between charisma and its darker counterpart. Just as the preachers of old used hell and suffering, plagues of death to convert the masses, what good was an empty threat? The Hallowed words were Hollow. Patience Bedivere, your first was hardly obedient.

"Yes, I do believe it is that time again Mithias." Bedivere remarked casually putting his watch away. "The rest are getting worried it seems. Now then, Hank is it?" The man would feel the point be slowly drawn back. "It is a shame we could not meet upon happier terms, however, I believe this is a mere introduction. As such I expect to see you more, and perhaps the next I must leave you within an inch of unlife to make sure do not meddle in our affairs. Or for the better choice, I'd expect you come to your senses and join your father here. Good Evening Sir."

"The hour is late my boy, the midnight express is to leave the station. Promptly."

Keep your perverted mind out Lord Magnus, I have no need of your telepathic abilities. You seem to underestimate our abilities, or perhaps overestimate those of our enemy. You assume our inability to return is some sort of detriment, however we were far too busy painting this base red for tomorrow's activities. That being said, we shall be returning shortly.

Hank just stood shocked... What was he supposed to do now? He couldn't fight them both, but working with them would break his main rule, don't be like them. But then he thought, what was different between him and them? They both killed for what they wanted. Not just killed, did anything and everything. He felt alone again, something similar to how he felt after losing his family.

Hank Dropped the shotgun and fell to his knees. "What am I? What am I supposed to do?" This is almost just how he felt after his family was killed, Lost, broken, angry. He was built up, killed, brought back, Got strong, then got pushed down and left with more questions then he had answers. "DAMMIT!" He stood up and threw his fist into the wall next to him.

He slowly pulled it out, was this anger, or was this loss of control? Hank didn't know what to think anymore... Something was still going on outside... but he wasn't sure what to do now... SOLDIER could use him.... 'use him'. He was a puppet for many years for many people, and he didn't get help from anyone when he started this new life. he did it on his own, and he killed all involved with the the turning point of his life.

Hank started walking out the door, now it was time to figure out what he was going to do.

Having the info he wanted Magnus left the elder's mind. A parting line, carefully chosen to annoy Bedivere just the right amount.
"Glad to see you so confident, buddy."

Back at home Magnus laughed.
"They are on their way home, no telling how much damage they've already done. We might not have much of a challenge tomorrow."

Hale sat with a worried look. "Will there be enough humans to properly blood all the new recruits?"

Lady Mo nodded to Magnus "Good, not that I was worried." her cool smile held nothing but confidence, the humans didn't know have a clue as to what they were in for. She wasn't sure that the vampires were even knew the kind of power they now held. The hybrids were a more powerful race than any of their predecessors, their power hindered only by their small population and young age.

Ash stood up from the floor, making it hard to believe that a tiny, fragile looking creature such as her self could ever hold the power previously described. She looked to Hale, wondering if he was going to show her around like he said he would.

Silent and quickly Allison made her way through the base. Who or whatever attacked the base sure was strong. The guards obviously were no match for those intruders. She moved past dead and scared soldiers until she arrived at the door to the generals office. Not sure what she might find, Allison moved in position in front of the door and kicked it in.
