I believe Nevermind wanted our characters to interact on the plane ride. With that said, Gwen took the San Francisco plane so anyone else leaving from their can interact with her. We could do a collab in Pm. (:

@Valhalla Mchaggis and I are on the SF plane. We use GDoc, it's a lot faster, and iirc you said you were on your phone? If it's a smart enough one you should be able to access it. @McHaggis or I will PM you a link.

I'm just giving people the opportunity to interact. Not a requirement. No need to rush this! :) Won't leave it too long though.

If it's not too much trouble, I'd love the link. (: Also, I just found out there's an app for GoogleDocs so that makes things a lot easier.

You had mentioned just having the before flight, during flight, and arrival before stopping. I think that's what the question was pertaining to because we've already arrived.

People can converse whilst waiting at arrivals in the airport. I plan to wrap up the whole 'Smith family' and time-jump to the island in one post so I would like people to just cover everything of relevance until that point.

I was thinking that perhaps Gwen could have been seated next to Keran, and they could maybe meet up with Emily and Alistair afterwards once the plane has landed?
That way it would avoid making the scene too crowded and provide a natural way of introducing the characters to one another?

That's probably a good idea.

I think Alex is the only one Coming from San Diego and left later in the afternoon, so probably wouldn't arrive until later at night. Think he might be the last one to arrive XD

Technically speaking, Fiona and by association Lydia's flight is after sunset!

Yeah, Gwen and Keran can sit together. The app is almost finished downloading, so once its done I'll hop on and we can do a quick collab. (:

Edit: I was also thinking since theitr all on the same flight, maybe Emily and Alistair could have a small cameo at the end, or pop in during Gwen and Kerans meeting. It'd be just a little clutter at the end, but our characters would get interaction out of it. Just an idea. (:

I'm intending for Melissa to be flying out of Atlanta, Georgia; early afternoon, so I don't think I'll be doing a collab. unless someone thinks their character will be getting in around the same time. Otherwise, before I post again, I have two questions:
  • To what extent am I allowed to determine the environment around me? I've written in RPs where I have more or less entire control - there was no D(/G)M: it was free-form collaborative fiction - and I've written in RPs where the environment was entirely determined by the D(/G)M: and the posts I wrote revolved around interacting with it. So that's something I'm quite curious about.
  • Tangential, to what extent am I allowed to create and control NPCs to fit small roles in posts (/other)? Like the above, I've written within extreme freedom and zero freedom.
I've have a fair-enough idea in my head from just sitting back and reading but I decided I might confirm before jumping back in.

The environment is an airport in Port-au-Prince? I guess you can take from that whatever you want. You can make temporary NPCs as long as they aren't going to alter the storyline of the RP. If you wanted to make one that is on the island or whatever, I'd like you to speak to me first. But you can have conversations with NPCs at the airport and whatever, if that's what you are referring to.

Collabing is fun. :) That post turned out longer than it seemed to write. I think if anyone is ever lacking inspiration, a good way to cure that is collaborating as it is a lot less tedious.
