Allison got off the helicopter right after Kami and Katya. It seemed like he was going to brief them on what to do next. When Kami handed out the Anti-Tank Sniper Rifles she said astonished by their size and potential firepower "Whew, now thats a sniper rifle I say!" Katya was of course the first one to get their hands on one of those rifles for she is the best sniper in the SOLDIER squad. Meanwhile Allison herself wasn't sure if she should get her hands on one of those rifles as well.
"I theoretically do know how to use those, but I have never fired one of this scale..."

@Kurai Assassin
Eod nods, and grabs his shot gun, placing it on his back, before grabbing his severed arm, and he heads down to this weapon repair bay, sitting down on a repair bench. He would begin to repair himself, waiting for someone else to assist him.

"Well. Your call."
A wicked grin on Magnus's face betrayed his enjoyment in the situation.
It'd been a while since he'd been in anything he would call 'serious danger'.
"It sounds like the food wants us to come out and play."
Lady Mo responded with unnerving calm.
"Show us to the hangar."
"We'll ride out in style."
"But first you show Ashlynn the safe way out."
"I will. Run, I'll catch up."

While the oldbloods raced trough the corridors like shadows cast by a swinging light Hale escorted Ashlyn further down.
Passing one distressed vampire escaping the base after another they descended the stairs down to the lower floors.
Hale gave Ashlynn an unremarkable looking key.
"This is a universal key to everything in this place. Don't lose it. Down this hall is a bright white door. Open it and follow the tunnel until you are outside."
After urging Ash to move and waiting until she was far enough down the hallway to disapear into the darkness Hale started to catch up with the others.

The Hangar was crowded. Full of vampire and hybrid soldiers either following orders to be here or confused and seeking safety in numbers.
Magnus, Mo and Mithias arrived to look upon their army. Their vehicles, their equipment but most importantly their people.
"Well then, grab your weapons of choice, lets have some fun."
Magnus said while fitting his claws to his hand and checking the charges.
Mo ignored Magnus and stepped forward, her slender clawed hands gripping around the railing as she leaned over the balcony to speak to the troops.

"My children. All of you have shed blood before.
Out of defense or boredom. Out of passion or hunger.
Whatever those reasons forget them.
They clouded your mind and filled you with doubt.
Now you have embraced death.
You are much more than what you where.
Many of you have yet to dream of what you will do tonight.
Don't you dare be afraid, lest you forget that you are the predator.
It is you that haunts their dreams with unspeakable horrors.
Now go out and show them why.

A thundering cacophony of shouts, roars and howls echoed trough the bunker and out the ground.
Sound seeping up muffled like the monstrous growls of Cerberus.

The only places the echoes didn't reach where the furthest and deepest nooks and crannies of the fortress.
The dark hallway where Ash walked was one of them.
Coming out of the loud and chaotic halls above and entering this silent abyss of a hall was an aerie feeling that ran a shiver down her spine.
No lights and many floors of darkness above her made the hall dark for even her hybrid eyes.
Faintly in the distance she heard notes. A strangely soothing melody.

The Shrines of Annihilation marched forwards, purging the very ground with their flames. However, Kami had made a mistake in underestimating the vampire's preparedness to utilize technology, and their control over the country. For even as they proceeded to take control of the ground floor, several large cruise missiles struck the ground around them. It was relatively ineffective against the fast-moving and heavily armoured Shrines, but several of them were destroyed. A great fireball was formed when the fuel tanks were ignited, tearing apart the structures from the inside. It was a stark reminder that Magnus, unlike some of the more regressive of the Oldbloods, was fully prepared to use modern weaponry.

"Trace those missiles, send a unit of 3 Shrines towards it's location. Cover them with a single opening missile. We need control of the long-range weaponry in the area if we want to hold it." Even as he spoke, three of the large tanks moved away. The missiles had been launched from a nearby location, most likely a silo previously owned by Soldier. Soon it would once more be under Purge control.

"They're hiding in their bunker. We can't move in, their ground forces would decimate us. However, we can smoke them out." Several groups of Purge soldiers emerge from trucks and place large Smoke Machines down, setting them up to keep a thick mist. Even Oldbloods would feel this one, and it was impossible to walk around without getting soaking wet. The water would counteract most regenerative abilities, making the vampires far more vulnerable. "Once their leaders appear, we move in. However, that doesn't mean we can't support from afar."

The chopper lands relatively close to the bunker, even as Kami hands out a group of Anti-Tank Sniper Rifles, designed with 20cm long rounds equipped with Tungsten points and an explosive charge. The rifles themselves were 2.5 meters long, and nearly impossible to run around with. They had to be reloaded after each shot, and if not properly handled the recoil could tear a man's arm off. But for the sheer amount of firepower, they were completely worth it. "Any of you who know how to use one of these, help snipe. If any armoured vamps or vamp vehicles show up, aim for the munitions. If you set that off, you can blow the tank sky-high."

Julius smiled upon hearing his commander's voice, "The Tower stands tall." His fingers danced across the computer keys as his own personal system linked into the building defenses, full admin access, the tower was fully self sustaining when it came to oxygen and clean air, however many other parts of the bunker were not.

when certain areas started filling with the smoke the enemy was pushing in, Julius would flip on the evacuation signal and then lock down and seal that tunnel which would slow the smoke from filling the entire base.

Next came opening a link to NightStorm, the drone was in position now but Julius had decided he needed her to be his sight instead of his sword, she would be acting as a UAV and giving him eyes on the enemy,

Julius in all his wild flurry of motion started playing AC/DC in the tower. He saw the walkers approaching and when some of them walked over a set of tunnels Julius blew them sinking the machines into a dark hell that rendered them immobile.

When he realized they were sending walkers towards the missile silo he fired off one more volley of cruise missiles and rained down hell on the forces of the humans, then...he blew the silo sinking it into the earth, "Sir we lost the Silo." Julius was getting worried now the defense system was great but these tanks were way to fast to get a good hit on all of them, at this rate they would be at their doorstep.

Julius gave orders to the soldiers in base, "I want teams with shoulder mounted tank rockets and I want them topside yesterday!" Julius had a plan, but it all counted on their armor getting there in time.

Just previous to the attack on the bunker...

The prisoner's room was empty, dark, and quiet. Magnus had extracted all the pertinent information the human's mind had to divulge and then some. He and the Native American oldblood moved on to continue their preparations as daylight reigned above, having no further use for the mere mortal in the chair. After some time, the door to Martin's room opened once again, and a light flickered on at the flip of a switch. Martin would still have been drugged, possibly barely conscious. Suddenly, he would feel his ropes cut and the blindfold removed from his eyes. A white hand placed a bottle of water and a wrapped sandwich on the small table. In his foresight, Mithias had collected them from the Soldier base. He stood silently watching, waiting for Martin to come to, and as he did, the vampire exhaled a sigh of relief.

"Food and water." Mithias said calmly. "The drugs will wear off, and you will need them. And you will need this." The vampire also placed a handgun on the table. He began speaking, more to himself than anything, not fully knowing how much the human was able to hear or understand. "There's no reason that you should die, Martin. I heard what you said about humanity destroying itself and what you believe about vampires." Mithias took a few steps to the other chair and sat down as he considered things. He looked at the wrecked human with sympathy. Centuries of watching his descendents and protecting humans had ingrained a sense of care in Mithias. Even being nearly killed by Kami hadn't taken it from him. It was still there.

Leaning back, Mithias went on, letting his sight drift to the corner of the room. "Magnus, wants vampires to dominate the world. He would devour and enslave all your kind, believing humans to be nothing more than cattle to feed upon. So detached from humanity he is. The ancient Mohowauuk also hates humans. She is right to blame them for the destruction of the planet. She sees them as vermin, a plague, a species out of control, but also a species unworthy of the gifts they have been given. She sees humans as only animals, pathetic, and deserving of punishment." Mithias seemed troubled by this and pressed his fingers into his forehead and closed his eyes. Then he sighed and dropped his hand, yellow eyes seeming so humanlike for a moment. "I used to believe they were wrong. Over a century ago, I started the Soldier organization. I believed there was a way to coexist, and I fought to maintain that balance. Now, I see that it is, and always was, impossible. No matter how many lives I take or years of service I give, they will always want me dead. The truth is subvertive in the human heart." The vampire looked weary as he returned his focus to Martin. "Vampires do not deserve to die for our need. We are gods, Martin, dark gods. But we must act like gods. If we abuse our power, then we are no better than humans."

"I fight for the right to survive, for myself, and for those I love. I have family among the vampires now, a brother, a child, and they need me. I have come to embrace the night and accept my gift. I am no longer human, and I will not see my kind wiped from the face of the Earth."

Mithias laced his fingers in his lap with a resolved expression. Martin was really in no condition to say much, so a response was not expected. It simply feel good to get that off his chest. "Forgive me. I'll leave you to your recovery." He got up and headed for the door, pausing once more. "I do hope you live, Martin. The world could use more like you." Mithias left to join the others.

A dark room, With in it a young man would be standing attempting to choose from his collection of knives, tools, and other accessories. His face a crater remains from a gun shot wound from years before. He is wearing fairly casual clothes, with the exception of a butchers apron across his chest with several blood stains. There is another man in the room, older. About 50 it seems. This one is tied up though, tied up to the wall using chains and a strand of bared wire across his abdomen. He's covered in his own blood and very crude stitches. He is wearing a SOLDIER uniform, he appears to be an officer of some kind.

The first man would walk up to the SOLDIER officer. "Please, what do you want? I'll tell you anything, just stop." The Officer would cry. The man in the Apron said nothing. "Please! I'll talk just stop!" The Aproned man smiled. "I know, I just needed to give you a taste of what was going to happen if you didn't cooperate." This was the first time he has talked in 2 days to the man. "I'm not sure I told you this yet, But my name is Fergus, I am you babysitter for how eever long you can survive the next few days Capetian."

Fergus placed the knife on an old stitch on the his prisoners shoulder. "Did I ever put that back yet? I can't remember you see I live a very active life." The Capetian was in too much fear to speak, not knowing what the best way to answer was. "Well I Am on a bit of a time frame now that the war has Begun! So you're going to give me the list of all the poor assholes that have the keys to the nukes in your facility. If you don't I am going to kill you and put you Daughter thought this, make her kids watch, and then force her kids to kill each other telling them the winner can leave." He was smiling and swinging his knife as he talked. "I don't have th..." He looked at the knife in Fergus's hand. "...Can I get a paper... and something to write with..." He felt ashamed, he was giving up secrets and names that only he was allowed to know. And he gave it up to someone that was ready to wipe out everyone.

Fergus cut the man down, then threw him at the table. He then slashed the mans back with the knife and stabbed it down on the table next to a piece of paper. "If ya run out of ink I hope you know how to get more! If not I will just kill you and move on to your NCO, he's bound to know some names." The Capetian started to use the knife to write out the names, tears rolled down his face as he wrote. "Good work my boy! Now we can end your Pain." His Fangs began to show, He stabbed them into the Capetian's neck, his fresh (Ish) Blood going everywhere. "Thank you for your cooperation, Now I must get going."

He went up an old set of stairs to a small kitchen area, in it an old woman sits in a chair barely awake. She was holding an old puzzle booklet and old fashioned pen. "Mum, going to work, I'll be back in a few days" The old woman just sat there, unresponsive. Fergus attempted to turn his mom when she started to lose her memory and physical skills capabilities. All ti did though was preserve her current state.

He left the small house and got into his car, he had a list of names, and some warheads to arm.

As Mithias lingered in the doorway Martin struggled to regain his voice.
With a raspy sound he replied while the vampire left.
"Thank you. Thank you for soldier. They have always been admirable and often useful.
*cough*
In return. My advice to you. If you'd have it. On the battle between humanity and divinity.
Your first instincts were right. What soldier does is right. But that is not your responsibility anymore unless you will it.
However.. I've seen no dark gods that night. Merely mortals who had taken their first steps.
Hypocritical as it sounds coming from me now. As I refused to walk at all.
...
As of now you and your friends are neither yet potentially both.
Let go of the vampire. redeem or ascend, you've lingered enough."

It was taking too long. The vamps weren't going to show themselves, they were simply hiding deeper in the bunker. Recon had reported more vamps converging on this location. Thousands of them, each horde lead by one of the Vampire Generals. Even the Shrines couldn't handle those numbers, especially those that had access to anti-tank weaponry. If they didn't finish this soon, they'd be forced to repeat from the field, leaving Magnus and the higher caste safe. Kami had relied on the vamps charging out, ready for a fight. But it seemed that the beasts had more tactical capabilities than he had thought.

"I'm going in. Any elite units that wish to come with me are free to do so. Anyone who wouldn't trust themselves in melee with a vampire is not skilled enough to follow me. They'll just form a walking lunch." Kami opened a box in the car. He retrieved several weapons from said box, as he prepared to enter the vampire base. It would be swarming with vamps, their numbers had been estimated around 500. At least 70 had been taken care of or heavily wounded in the initial fight. They had rushed out, or been caught in the explosions from the missiles. So that left approximately 430 vampires below ground. Including several of the most powerful Oldbloods on the He was going to need some serious gear.

First off, he retrieved a pair of dual katana. Upgrades from his previous weapon, these had been constructed from Lonsdaleite. An extremely rare material formed when meteros containing graffite strike the Earth, it had a structure very similar to that of diamond. However, it uses a hexagonal structure instead of a cubic one. This makes it up to 58% harder than diamond, and one of hardest materials on the planet. With the addition of nanotubing technology, it was capable of absorbing large amounts of kinetic energy. This made it virtually indestructible, as it would take temperatures of almost 2000 degrees to melt it. The edge was almost monomolecular, a feat achieved due to electron-based engineering. It was sharp enough to cut through the armoured plating of a tank. Attempting to block it's edge with anything short of a force field was pointless. Of course, each of these things were worth about 0.8 million in and of themselves, but they were totally worth it.

The second was a relatively simple piece of weaponry. The Reaper Cannon. The original schematics were designed in WWII, when both the allied forces and the germans were attempting to utilize specialized vampiric strike forces. A weapon so heavy-duty, nothing other than a vampire would be able to handle the recoil. Over the years it was improved, redesigned, rebuilt. This weapon was designed for use only of Oldbloods, any human holding it would be rapidly disarmed. Literally. The gun was 3 meters long, with two handles about 0.5 meters along it. A series of high-powered electromagnets launched a 60mm high explosive shell at Mach 2. The shell itself was a shrapnel explosives weapon, capable of rippign through even armoured targets should they be close to the explosion. Everything within 3 meters of the epicenter would find itself shredded. A direct hit would destroy a vampire to the extent that even their body became incapable of regenerating from it.

He sheated the two katanas at his side, as he walked out, Reaper Canon in his hands. The weapon was simply too large to carry on his back, so it would be his initial attack force. It took two blasts to rip apart the debris in front of the bunker's entrance. His ultraviolet and sonar sensors activated, as he marched inot the darkness. Soon, the vampires would be on him. He would have hoped to take down more of them with the Shrines, but this would have to do.

It was killing time.

"Everyone grab your weapons!"
"You drive the bike, I shoot the minigun."
"That's my hazmat suit!"
"Dibs in that bazooka!"
Monsters were getting ready for battle.
"Mithias, Hale, we're riding out in style."
Magnus beconed the two and four hybrid soldiers in full riotgear, hazmats and heavy guns over from the roof window of 'The Beast'.

The rabble died down and a short moment of silence fell on the hangar.
The only sound heard was from the live-stream of the outside cameras projected on the wall.
Accompanied by the muffled sounds of the same violent sounds beyond the large reinforced doors.
The watched the enemy move up to the gates. They waited. They could recognize Kami as he lead the force.
"Hold.."
The enemy was before them. Nothing but a thick layer of concrete and metal between them and humanity.
"Now! Open the gates!"
With the hiss of pneumatic doors opening the outside world was revealed and light shot inside, as unwelcome as it was, it served to inspire the vampires in their roused fury.
With howl and battle-cry the monstrous horde exploded out of the bunker and onto the Purge outside.
The tearing of limbs and scorching of bones, the glory and cruelty of a warfare known only to heroes and monsters.
Amidst the pandemonium barreled 'The Beast'. Magnus held a strict no brakes policy when he drove.
Swerving to barely miss a missile only to run over a vampire and knight locked in a death struggle.
Hale miraculously held his footing while standing with his upper torso sticking out of the car. So he could shoot grenades. At everything with a cross on it. And laugh hysterically.
Trough the blur of blood and strife Magnus spotted Kami.
"You ready Hale?" He messaged to reach Hale over the cacophony of battle.
Hale smiled as he heard Magnus's voice while simultaneously feeling his gaze on him disappear.
The ruin returned.
Hale dropped the gun in the car and picked up the sledgehammer while bracing himself.
"Always."

At full speed the massive armored vehicle of presidential authority from days past rocketed towards Kami.

Hank

Hank knew the Humans and Vampires were in war, But he had other things he was worrying about. He found one of his friends from the Marine Corps, They had a lead on someone Hank had been looking for. Took him 7 years, but he Finally found the vampire that killed his Family. His friend Tony was flying the helicopter, Hank was in the Back. "So you found 'em Hank?" Tony asked his friend, He could tell Hank wasn't... well. Something was off. "I'll be fine once I get this asshole, and make him hurt as much as he hurt me." Hank had his weapons and a duffle bag full of items to help him out once he caught him.

The Helicopter was hovering above a small Cottage, seemed old but well maintained. Tony turned around to face the back of the Chopper. "You sure you don't need any..." Hank was gone, Tony looked down to find Hank walking up to the Cottage. Tony knew he was not supposed to get involved, He was supposed to leave and meet with Hank later on.

Hank walked up to the front door, The lock was easy to break. Hank walked in with his Revolver Drawn. Inside he found an old Lady, though he could tell she wasn't human, she smelled dead but... Holding on... A dying Vampire? Hank hadn't heard of anything like this before. At least in a case of old age it seemed. She was unresponsive to Hanks actions. "Hello?" She just sat there. Hank tried again, he smelled no one there. "Hey! Where the fuck is Fergus!" She barely looked up, then she spoke. "Are you the new Milk boy? I hope it doesn't taste like crap again." She would go back to reading.

Hank walked around the house for a while, He found the basement and a dead Soldier Agent. He even found a lost of names stained into the table with blood. After searching the house some more he found a list of Phone numbers, One of them was labeled 'Your son Fergus, Call me if you need me.' Hank smiled, he just put two and two together, He knew who the old woman was, and he knew how to get revenge on Fergus.

Fergus

Fergus made it into the Base, he wiped out the few security staff, not many, guess they were hoping to keep this place hidden better then they did. Fergus Was in the middle of forcing one of the officers to give him the launch codes when his phone rang, the only one with this number was him Mum, Though her mind was too long gone to use the phone, The nurse wasn't supposed to be there for two more hours though?

Fergus answered the phone with some fear. "Ma? What's going on? You okay?" There was a deep tone, a middle aged man spoke over the phone. "Been a while Fergus, took me Seven years to track you down." Fergus was a bit shocked, who called only to mention he had been tracked? An from his personal number. His Mother spoke on the phone. "Hello Fergus, The nice man said he was a friend of yours? I invited him over for a drink, hurry home so we can have a drink together!" The deep voiced man spoke next. "yes Fergus, Hurry home to Mommy." The line was cut off, Fergus dropped the phone and ran, someone was at his home, pissed at him, with his mum.

The SOLDIER control officer was just standing there, that phone call saved his life... But now they had a name, Fergus.

Explosions from levels above shook the corridors of the bunker like an earthquake and sounded like thunder. An alarm went off somewhere and the voices of Magnus and Julius began speaking over the intercoms. Mithias cursed under his breath. They had been found and damnit it was day! It was probably his and Bedivere's fault too, leading them right to the place. None of that could be changed now however. More than likely, the vampires would be able to resist whatever assault Soldier could afford to throw at them. He had no idea yet what was waiting for them outside, that the Purge had come in full force, with enough special weaponry and manpower to decimate the vampire ranks. Additionally, they had their general, Kami.

Mithias convened with the other oldbloods and headed to the hangar. Hale went with Ashlynn to show her the tunnel series that would take her safely to Kilo Point city, right under Soldier's nose. Apparently, Soldier hadn't discovered that exit yet. Julius remained higher up in the bunker base at the control room, running whatever mechanical or computerized defenses Magnus had. That vampire had a very strange and exceedingly useful gift, a control of machines and even computers. With that gift, his cybernetic body parts were probably also an advantage. Mithias had no idea how well the half-robotic vampire could fight, but hopefully, he'd never need to.

A sizable horde of immortals filled the hangar. Mithias scanned the available weapons and vehicles Magnus had acquired, either previous to the war or afterward, then he gasped in shock. There, in the middle of the hangar was the aircraft that justified the structure. "409" written in white block letters on its sides and belly, Mithias' old hover-fighter jet was parked. It had a few burn marks and scratches, and someone had managed to dent its nose with a bad landing job, but it was the same craft, the Nightinggale.

Mithias couldn't believe it. "Magnus!" He ran over to inspect the thing.

Magnus smirked.

"Magnus, you... You asshole! You stole my jet. ... How fortuitous." Mithias leap atop the thing and peered into the cockpit. "..." He shouted back down with a disgruntled frown. "There's ten minutes of fuel left!"

Magnus shouted back, "What did you want? Valet!?" Then got into his Beast.

Mithias heaved a sigh and muttered to himself, "Bloody hell. Hmm, I can take off, but not much more than that. Perhaps it will still be an advantage."

The doors opened and the army rushed out, counting on the element of surprise to escape the bunker without being blown up. The Beast roared forth. No way in Hell would Mithias have gotten in that ridiculous thing anyway. Not only was it high risk to put all the oldbloods in one location, but Magnus was driving.

Destructive sunlight and a mist of deadly Holy water mist met the army, which mostly consisted of fledglings, stifeling their charge. A weaker one spontaneously burst into flames amidst his peers, but the rest got out rapidly. They surged for the Purge ground forces and took their shoulder cannons to the tank walkers. Mithias started up Nightinggale.

Moments later, the black 409 shot out of the hangar a fairly unsafe speed. The high pitched cry of it's engines striking fear into anyone familiar with the sound. 8 mins.

Arching overhead, Mithias got a bird's eye view of the battlefield. He positioned the jet away from the peon vamps with rocketlaunchers and any Soldier fighters who may have had anti-aircraft and hovered a straife across a couple Shrine tanks. Missles fired, they exploded loud and dramatically aside the hulls of the shrines. Displeased that not enough damage was done, Mithias targeted the legs next, 5 mins.

One shrine fell, another was immobilized. 3 mins. The Nightinggale started to sputter and lose altitude. Alarms were blaring. Mithias was out of time. The craft was going to go down before the fuel timer reached 0. Fuck.

Aiming at the last shrine, he set the jet to fly with everything it had left, on a course to collide with the tank directly. G forces slammed him into the seat and at the last second, he pulled the emergency eject and propelled clear of the crash.

Floating far from the battle, Mithias shook his head and cut himself free of the seat and parachute as far from the ground as he dared. That took care of the Shrines.

The doors opened, and a horde of vampires rushed outwards. And yet, Kami had already located his prey. The Oldbloods came rushing at him in a large armoured car, seeming to be under the impression that it gave them some kind of advantage. In reality, however, it simply made them a bigger target, and much easier to take care of. The canon fired, it's recoil cracking the ground beneath his feet as an Armour-Piercing Shell exited the barrely at hypersonic speeds. The vehicle's armour plating was no match for the tungsten tip, nor for the sheer speed of the thing. Even as it entered the structure, the explosive charge sent tungsten shrapnel exploding throughout the entire vehicle, ripping straight through the vampires within and wrecking the vehicle instantly.

The nose of the car tipped downwards, as the rear was launched into the air by the sudden explosive force exerted on the front. The entire structure came rushing at Kami, who simpyl dropped the gun, his blades already out. His movements were faster even than those of a vampire, matching those of an Oldblood in sheer speed. And he outdid even many Oldbloods with his skill and precision. Not a single movement was wasted, his steps a graceful dance through flying shrapnel and raging vampires.

Kami stood amidst a group of collapsed vampires, each of which had been decapitated. Behind him, the beast hit the ground, seperated down the middle by a single slice of Kami's katana. Whatever was left in the gas tank exploded, illuminating the legendary vampire slayer from behing. No vampire would approach, all of them knew that that way would lie their certain doom. Magnus pulled himself from the ground some distance away, the holes in his chest and limbs already closing. Mo had not been so lucky, as her torso crash landed near Kami, still burning. Her writhing was soon ended by a decisisve blow. Hale had somehow managed to jump out of the car before it exploded, hanging on to the ceiling.

[Behold, the end of your race begins with the one who would lead you. This day will be remembered in the history books. Today will be known as the day your filth was wiped from the planet.] A katana in each hand, Kami no Kage marched towards his enemy. Other vampires could barely see, so thick was the Holy vapour, so strongly did it burn at their eyes. And any who crossed his path found their end almost instantly. In the mist, as Magnus felt his skin burning and regrowing, the voice seemed almost demonic. [Today will be named Genocide Day.]

----------------------------------------

The shrines went down one by one, their legs giving out under them, their armour being pierced by the hover-jet's missiles. They were not equipped to handle heavy weapon's fire, nor were they able to take down the jet that was assaulting them. However, even as vampires swarmed over them to rip apart those Purge agents inside, they revealed their final trick. With the press of a button, the complete fuel reserve was ignited in an instant. The pressure ripped the canisters apart, as the Shrines exploded, spreading liquid fire over the entire area. Any vampire that came nearby was incinerated, the very ground being set alight. Mithias himself was only barely able to avoid being burned to death by one of the explosions near him. Had he been closer, he would most likely not have been so lucky.

With the shrines dealt with, only the Purge helicopters remained. Wisely, they had chosen not to deploy any ground troops, as any such troops would swiftly have been overrun by Magnus' forces. Instead, they faced Aerial Bombardment consisting of both Holy Vapour bombs and Napalm. With no way of recognizing the source of their attack, the vampires were forced to retreat back to the bunker, or to make a run for the treeline. Most of those who ran never made it, burning up on the way there. Either being struck by a napalm bomb, or spending too much time in the vapour. Within the bunker, Kami would deal with them. He was a one-man army, and all the odds were in his favour.

The vampires were nearly blind, their regeneration would be slowed, they were leaderless and confused. Their morale had been broken by the lack of victories, as even taking down the Shrines had only lead to more casualties. There was no winning agains the Purge. There was only minimizing the amount you lost.

Mithias crawled out of the backyard pool he had conveniently landed in. The lawn was overgrown, and it appeared that the residents of that house had moved out several weeks ago. As far as Mithias could tell, the little neighborhood had been abandoned. Landing in water had several advantages, Mithias found, and not just providing a softer landing. The pervasive holy vapor no longer stung him, as its holiness seemed to become muted by contact with the regular water that sopped him hair and clothes. The water also cooled him from the sun and heat of he fires he had to run past to get back to the bunker.

Eluding the helicopters with his speed, Mithias made his way back toward the others. There were no human ground troops, none still alive anyway, and the few armed vampires here and there were still trying to take out the choppers. Fire was everywhere, and the smoke made it difficult to see for both sides to see each other. Why hadn't Lady Mohowauuk cleared the air of these damned vapors and rained on the fires? Mithias feared the worst, but at the same time, couldn't imagine how blood-drinking druidess could have possibly been killed. She was simply too powerful. A terrible curiosity quickened his feet.

The front entrance to the bunker had been blown up. The rock that had formerly obscured the door had fallen into a landslide of boulders. There was no getting in or out there. The hangar bay door however was still gapingly open, fires and mayhem inside. With such a huge entrance, the bunker was vulnerable to invasion. It wouldn't have been left open intentionally. Before he could get any closer, Mithias walked up on the remains of an exploded vehicle. The smell of vampire blood was thick. A chrome hubcap on a still-rotating car tire in a pile of burning wreckage made clear that The Beast didn't make it far from launch.

what Mithias saw next stopped him in his tracks. He didn't need to check to know Lady Mo was dead. He had yet to realize the extent of the vampires' losses.

Magnus looked up at the dark figure looming over him, blotting out the sun concealing all but his silhouette.
Spending this much blood to regenerate made him hazy. But it was clear by the killing intent that was thick in the air.
Kami stood above him. If he only had a few more seconds.
Some small distance from him he thought he saw Mo lie lifelessly. Silently.
though when he probed her mind there was still something there. An angry growl. Low, muffled, primal.

From the anarchy and carnage they heard loud laughter. Hysterical and increasing in volume and mania.
"Whahahaaah. Oh man! Best crash ever."
With the deafening sound of tearing metal the metal skeletal remains of the Beast was pushed aside.
Hale emerged from the wreckage covered in sweat and blood, though not his own blood. His clothing was torn and in his hands he still lightly gripped the hammer, which was already starting to look worse for wear.

You could hear his joints crack as he stretched and slowly and casually approached Kami.
He took a deep breath, clearly unfazed by the vapour or noxious scent of the all out battlefield.
"Ahh! The unmistakable smell of burnt circuits."
Magnus had ceased all concentration on him. His aura of ruin was at full strength and he could feel the entropy around him.
With all the discord and destruction this place was more home to Hale than ever.

With every step the ground visually cracked a little. Lights on vehicles nearby flickered, then died.
Hale circled Kami like a cautious predator. His hammer swinging by his side hypnotically.
His prey was in his circle of influence, normally it wouldn't take long before guns and camera's broke, swords would take longer.
But this prey had a life support so precise. So brilliantly and minutely crafted. So frail. It would take seconds.

It was still eerily silent in the tunnels below. Save for that faint melody.
As Ashlynn approached her sensitive ears picked up what it was. Someone was whistling a song strange and not quite befitting the atmosphere.
Someone human. Someone hurt. She could tell, his breathing was irregular.

Ashlynn got closer, careful at first. Slightly more confidently the moment she remembered she was the hybrid,
and she was sneaking up on a hurt human. She had no reason to be afraid.
There was a door, opposite the red door she was sent to find. It was locked, but she had the master key.
With a click the door opened and revealed the room she had seen before on the screen in Mo's room.
With his back to the door sat Martin, tied to the chair. He'd stopped whistling the moment he'd heard the door open.
"You're back. Are there more things you wish to know?"

It really sounded like the battle was over. Mithias listened, the holy gas starting to annoy him once again, like the ever-burning cross against his chest. Hardly a gunshot when off randomly in the distance. Fire crackled near and far, but there were no engines, no screaming... he couldn't even detect a single one of Magnus' brood of fledgling warriors. Mithias furrowed his black brows.

Then he head Hale's voice. The entropic werewolf, and the other half of the beast, had been obscured by smoke not far off. Mithias drew near, drawing his blades. As he got closer, the scene unfolded before him. Kami was standing over Magnus. Hale was practically salivating with his sledgehammer. Mithias couldn't read his mind, but Magnus still looked alive. The vampire neared Hale, but of course not too closely. Disorder and a sledgehammer were a dangerous combination.

This was a meeting that couldn't be backed out of, not once it had already begun. Mithias let himself be seen clearly, and clearly, he was not dead as Kami may have thought. He was going to backup Hale and fight Kami. Perhaps Magnus could still be saved.

Mithias would probably start out doing most of the fighting, if the new techniques he learned with Bedivere actually worked, which would give Hale's aura time to do its destruction. Fearful for Magnus, and keeping in mind his promise to his asshole father, Mithias put on a brave front.

"Kaminokage." He acknowledged his enemy and saluted, while Hale visibly burned with anticipation. Mithias was really hoping to avoid ever running into the Divine Shadow again. With any luck, he could have simply outlived the supposedly human-cyborg, but it looked like that wasn't going to happen. "I have to thank you. For if it were not for you, I might be fighting alongside you right now." The vampire narrowed his eyes in disgust as he said that. "I knew in my blood that we would meet again, but as much as I would prefer to avoid you, I can't allow you to win this war. The survival of my kind depends on it, and that's something I would fight to the death for." Mithias sighed heavily. He was breaking his promise and at least one vampire was sorely going to miss him. He focused his mind on that, on those he loved. They would be the source of his strength in battle.

Mithias knew he would have to attack first to draw Kami's blades from Magnus. Going first was almost always a mistake. What a shitty disadvantage. He took a ready stance and watched Kami for the slightest muscle twitch. If he moved to slay Magnus, Mithias would take advantage of the opening.

The werewolf had risen from the wreckage. Unfortunate. Kami had hoped to kill two birds with one stone, but it seems luck was against him this day. Furthermore, he could feel the aura of entropy as it reached into the circuitry of his suit, causing the sturdy yet elegant design to fail on him. It would take a little for the entire suit to fail him, but a malfunctioning suit was worse than a completely broken one. As such, he simply deactivated the electronic parts of the armour, maintaining only the lightweight armour. Of course, this left him at a complete physical disadvantage, or so the beasts would believe.

He recognized Mithias, of course. Kami never forgot a face, nor a blade. He had killed the vampire, he was certain of that, so how could Mithias still stand before him now? He quickly reached his conclusion. Mithias must have been one of the vampires who had replaced their hearts, much like Magnus had. That was why the stake had not worked. He had underestimated Mithias due to the lack of legends surrounding his character, and had as such allowed a vampire to slip between his fingers. [You are certainly right about one thing, vampire. You will die fighting for your life. A mocking parody of mankind, a twisted shadow. I do not care that you chose to hide your true nature before now, but I will erase you from the face of this Earth.]

He moved slowly, not giving them any indication as to what his current speed might be. If he was lucky, they would underestimate his personal physical capabilities, and try to finish him quickly. But like always, he kept an eye on their every move. Judging their every action, the very flicker of their eyes.

Normally, he would have no problem going on the offensive. But in a 3-1 matchup, he had no choice but to await the opponent's attack, to hope he could utilize his superior martial arts knowledge and observational capabilities to catch them by surprise. If he was able to kill one of them as they attacked, the odds of his victory would increase drastically.

It was like the good old day, more or less. The good old days being Humans killing humans, Only now it was Vampires going to be killing vampires. Hank had seen some crazy shit the last few years, 10 years ago if you had told him he was going to be a vampire hunter he would have laughed in your face until he landed in the Emergency Room. If you had told him he was a vampire not only hunting vampires, but other monsters as well. He would have though you were crazy. Now he was back in arms, He had his old Tactical vest one, the one designed to withstand the blow of a vampires claws if they had them, or blades of a curved sword or knife. He had Dead Mans blood in a satchel at his side, He had his Fathers revolver with the silver bullets loaded into them. Then he had what he was going to have to rely on most, His machete, and his hatchet. He was going to have to embrace this power as a vampire to try and stop all this.

The world had gone to shit well Hank was busy dealing with Fergus, though he didn't regret it. he only wishes he sped things up a bit, or found him sooner. He ran down the war torn in his old camouflage fatigues, though its only real purpose was to remind him of one thing, there was still a human somewhere in him. He knew he had crossed the line several times over, killing the old woman didn't help, killing those soldiers didn't help, killing dozens of monsters over the last 7 years didn't help. But his time for regret was over, now it was time for him to end this.

He found the wreck fairly easy. He could smell his creator from a decent distance, despite the spent gun powder and dead bodies. "Mithias!" He called out from the side lines. "I give you two choices." He looked at the other vampires, then looked back to Mithias. "I would like to continue our talk, you may leave, if you leave now, I wont kill you for now. Before you disagree..." He walked closer to the battle field slowly drawing his Machete. "Consider the fact I am not giving the others the same offer, they run I am going to put a bullet in the back of there heads." He stopped just far enough to see everyone at once. One Human, against Two vampires, and what smelled like a chihuahua that has been in need of a bath for a long time. Werewolf maybe?

He looked at the human, he's seen 'em before, never really met in person, but seen 'em around before. "What kind of balls made you think you could take on two of these guys? And the Chihuahua?" Then he thought about it, he has done much stupider in his time. "You know what, never mind. I'v done worse." He trained the machete on the Trio, His old training was starting to kick in, but he had to not let it take over again, this was a new kind of war, this time, he had to learn to pay attention to hi sown actions, and use his new talents. he had to accept what he was now, a Vampire.

Magnus couldn't move.
That is, he wasn't so wounded, he was going to be al right as is and if it wasn't for the psycho mecho looming over him his future seemed fine.
It was the situation he was in that made movement a rather unappealing idea.
Lying on his back and slowly recovering from a stunt of hilariously stupid nature.
The blades of Kami still pointed at him, though his attention divided, hopefully.
He probed Kami's mind, not that he expected anything there, more out of habit.

Echo

He turned his mind to Mithias.
Thank you for the timely save. I won't risk touching Hale's mind right now but by the looks of his face he is going to do something unpredictable in 3.. 2..-
"Mithias!"
A fledgeling looking like a 90's slasher flick broke the silence and went off on a rant to Mithias.
After that he waved his prick stick at the crowd, shouted his best insults and threatened to kill them.
Hale spoke up in irritated tone, keeping his eyes on Kami and the hammer swinging like a pendulum ticking the time away.
"Mithias? This isn't really the time for children with daddy issues. I liked the plan better when it was simpler. Paladin goes crush."

A voice dripping with malice and curiosity wormed its way into Hank's mind.
Hello. Pleasant to meet you. I am the friendly and very sharply dressed fellow laying down in a pool of blood. But enough about me. I can't help but wonder.. what are you planning to achieve here?
What do you expect from your father? What do you want?

Just when he thought things couldn't possibly get any worse, Mithias nearly flinched at the unexpected presence of his fledgling son. This was not good at all. Between the two of them, Mithias had to keept his eye on Kami however, as he listened to Hank's demands.

Magnus gave him a telling look from the ground., but whatever message he had tried to telepathically send to Mithias unfortunately fell on a deaf mind. Mithias was permanently warded from any mental influence, even communication. Still, the elder vampire's meaning was clear. Magnus then seemed to shift his focus toward Hank.

Mithias furrowed his brow. His constant threat was the only thing potentially keeping Kami from severing Magnus' neck at this moment. He tried to keep his focus, but he had to answer Hank. It might be his last words. he pulled a speech together piece by peace.

"There is no running from this, child. I will not abandon those I love. If I survive, we'll talk, if I don't, you won't either. Kaminokage will kill you without a second thought, and maybe you think that's all well and good, and that humanity would be better off, but the truth is that it would be a tragedy. Gods were never meant to die, Hank. WE have a purpose. Our very nature is to live forever, to be caretakers of our human brethren, to chronical history, and to prune the mortal tree throughout time. We are destined to ascend..." Mithias felt like he was straining to explain something he himself could barely grasp. His realization had grown to the point he was hitting on something deep and primal, some basic truth that had been stolen and hidden away from vampirekind since the dawn of time. "But as gods, we require blood sacrifice, and we must learn to be gracious to those who provide it. Blood is worship, my son. You must have faith." There was no way a mere fledgling could fathom what Mithias was beginning to comprehend. To Kaminokage, it was blasphemy.

Mithias couldn't afford to say any more. "Now Kaminokage. You've kept the life of one extremely mentally fucked up god under your blades for long enough. It's time to end this." Mithias mentally let go of Hank, giving his trust that his own blood wouldn't intervene. He and Hale squared, or rather triangled, off with Kami. The moment silently agreed upon, Mithias struck with his right weapon, a downward slash that he would either allow to land or break his wrist in a tactical yield when the inevitable parry came up with the intent to cleave his titanium edge. Whether or not that happened, Mithias chained a thrust with his left behind it to Kami's midsection that would hopefully be left unguarded. The very careful dance had begun as the two (+/- Hale) combatants began studying each other.
