Mithias, much like Kami, wielded two blades. Dual wielding such a weapon required one not only to be ambidextrous, but to move in a very particular way. Maintaining both offense and defense, as dual blades flashed before him. Of course, having lost the advantage of his suit, Kami was significantly slower than Mithias. But his advantage lay in his prodigal mind. His natural skill and experience in the art of murder, that allowed him to dodge even bullets. Even as Mithias stepped forward, Kami had already read his movements. A slight of hand, based on the expectations of fighting a mere human opponent.

Kami sidestepped, shifting his weight as Mithias moved to compensate. One blade sliced for his head, but was easily countered. Kami didn't use his katana as Mithias had expected, but rather used the cuff of his gauntlet. Pushing Mithias' right sword down and left, forcing it into the way of his second attack whilst inflicting only minimal damage to Kami's specialized armour. It also left Mithias wide open, and only the vampire's supernatural speed saved his life in that instant.

Kami's blade passed through Mithias' torso, dealing what would have been a fatal wound to any mortal opponent. Had Mithias not managed to dodge sideways, the blade would have severed his head from his neck. Now the cut had simply sliced off part of his lungs, which were rapidly closing once more. The wound wouldn't even slow down the vampire, but it had served as a demonstration. Even without great speed, the legendary vampire slayer was not to be messed with. It was his skill that had allowed him to face vampires in melee even before he was granted this suit, and even now he was a deadly opponent.

Kami stood back, as Mithias would contemplate his next attack. His greatest advantage lay in his ability to instantly read his opponent's moves, an advantage he would lose if he were to press the offensive. His only hope was to hold off his opponents until SOLDIER reinforcements arrived, or he was somehow able to get in a lucky strike.

Hale flashed a mischievous grin while moving in to flank Kami with Mithias.
He laughed under his breath as he whispered 'Godlike' to himself in that one voice from that one video game.

His pendulum movements looked reckless and impractical, masking how much care he put into staying just out reach.
Hale focused on the swift dance of razors and placement of feet. Mithias was in control of the fight, Hale would pick up on the openings he would make. The next dodge of a blade would follow with an unforgiving hit with the hammer.

Hale hoped this would be enough of a distraction for Magnus to roll away to safety.
Magnus had other plans though. This was indeed the distracting situation he was waiting for.
But he wasn't going to run. Not yet. Blood loss and holy vapor be damned.
In a split second he moved his hand up to grasp at Kami's leg.
Barbed needles protrude from under his claws to deliver a cruel and deadly payload.

Hank laughed, like a crazy person laugh. he had no idea how all the mind tricks worked yet but he was more then willing to chat. "Achieve?!" He kept laughing, then the fight broke out though Magnus was still on the ground. Hank ran up to Magnus and grabbed him by his collar. He lifted him and brought there faces close together, then the laughing stopped. "I hope to kill each and everyone of you." He threw the old blood back into the wreckage. "I hope to make you all hurt as much as you all have hurt me." He sped up and landed his fist into him. He knew the only reason he was winning now is because Magnus was injured, but he was going to use that.

He picked him up again. "And Mithias, Never call him my father again. All he did was turn me into what I am now." Hank un-holstered his revolver and place the barrel into the old bloods mouth. "I was just giving him a chance, because he didn't kill me before. Fair is fair is it not?" He could hear the fighting behind him, he didn't care, he was like, 35% sure the human would be fine. "I want you to do one thing for me, or I am going to put a massive hole on the inside of your head." He pulled the hammer back on the revolver. "I want you too say sorry."

Kami stabbed Mithias. Magnus stabbed Kami.

The pain of the wound completely denied worthy of attention, Mithias pulled back, strategically analyzing his error within a fraction of a second and committing to memory the expert technique he had witnessed. Kami had a repitiore of the unexpected, and that was deadly. Mithias couldn't afford to underestimate him. Recklessness would only lead to a swift death, despite his bravery.

Mithias attacked again, keeping his opponent busy, this time more respectful of the slayer's threat. The vampire quickly began to realize that he was faster than Kami, and that Kami's leg had been grabbed, impairing his movement. With every passing moment, Mithias was gaining confidence and Kami's technology was degrading.

The two relocated as they fought, and Hank charged in and picked up Magnus from where he had been on the ground. There was no way to turn around and attend to Magnus even if he was in danger. Even if Magnus died, Kami was too dangerous to try to depart from. As much as he hated to risk it, Mithias had to let Magnus deal with Hank himself.

Hale bopped around, forcing Kami out of position frequently, and making it difficult for the assassion to get a good swing at either Mithias or his blades. Meanwhile, Mithias kept his deceptive, parriless bladework going. He wasn't allowing any direct hits against his titanium, and would use leverage techniques and edge-grinding slides to cast Kami's swords out of line. Still, the cyborg warrior knew how to take advantage of every opportunity with his ingenuitive technique, and Mithias wasn't unscathed. A few of his attacks failed. With each cut he received, the vampire lost a little blood, and thus even the immortal also had a limit to his duration. Mithias realized didn't have to be unrelenting so much as patient. His superior speed would win this as Kami slowly ran out of fuel and fell to the aura of ruination. He began to feel hope.

Surely some trick would be up Kami's sleeve. He would have some poison, some flashbomb, or some suicidal explosive. Mithias kept that knowledge in the back of his cautious mind as he kept dinging at Kami's armor, working on its weak points. A small cross flashed from the vampire's neck.

Hurt me as much as you are hurt?
A howling laughter echoed trough Hank's head.
Adorable.

Magnus's jaw snapped shut, tearing the colt from Hanks hand and crushing it between shark-like rows of teeth.
The metal bent and tore like tinfoil as Magnus chewed twice before spitting the shrapnel in his assailants face.
Al the while filling his head with mocking words of laughter.

If that's what you really want. I will speak apologies.
His clawed hand took Hank's arm in a vice grip and turned swift and viciously, forcing Hank to the ground.
But first...
For the first time Hank was personally and directly confronted with the absurd strength old bloods held.
In a single motion Magnus stood looming over the fledgeling, one arm pinned tightly behind Hank's back, slowly pulling the arm further up.
Hank could sense barbed needles run softly along the back of his neck, one movement and the needle would sink into flesh.
You need a lesson in loss. Young one.

Magnus was going to slowly rip his arm of.

"You're the human mister Magnus and Hale were questioning, right?" Ashlynn hesitatingly asked as she approached.
"Then you must be the Lady Mo's childe?"
"How did you know that?"
"I pay attention when others speak. Heard Mo talk. I can tell she's proud of you."
"She gave me everything I have now."
"Where is she now?"
"..."
"You do know where she is right?"
"She's on the battlefield.."
"And that makes you uneasy doesn't it?"
"..."
"A heavy feeling of dread and longing. As her childe you are bound to her, and she to you.
That's how she'll always know where you are, and if you're safe."

Ashlynn stared at Martin in fearful silence. Her eyes were wide.
"It feels like my heart is breaking."
"That means you have a strong connection. You feel her pain, her-"
Panicked tears sprung in Ashlynns eyes as she interrupted him.
"She's dying!"

Mohowauuck had started to move. A colossal arctic wolf made it's way trough the battlefield.
Bright white stained with crimson red, washed in the deep orange of the afternoon sun.
As she started her struggle towards the peace of the woods it started to rain.
Thick warm drops of tropical monsoon fell from the heavens.
The downpour would come wash all away.

Well. This was bad. Observing the situation around him, Kami put his excellent brain to work, finding solutions to his current predicament. But the answer inevitably remained the same. He was going to lose. Even with his suit, Magnus and Mo had posed a serious threat. Without it's added speed and strength, he could not hope to challenge 2 Oldbloods at once. Especially whilst fending off this relentless duelist, and the opportunistic werewolf.

Mithias' blades slammed into the armour, the impact forcing back the vampire slayer. Both sides struck one another repeatedly, but neither was able to land the killing blow. Mithias' blades were not the threat however. The heavy and slow sledgehammer had only struck once, but that one hit had dented even Kami's armour. It had not been designed to take serious blunt damage, and powered by the werewolf's superhuman strength every hit was like a speeding train. The creature was too sly to enter range of his blades, as he would have been able to at the very least disable the weapon. It rather jumped from place to place, keeping him on his guard, waiting for the right opportunity to land a second blow.

Well, at leas the wasn't poisoned. Magnus' needles had been far from able to pierce Kami's armour. But this was a small comfort compared to the knowledge of what came next. Because there was only one way he would walk out of this place.

He would need to die. Again.

Kami then did perhaps the most unexpected thing he could have done. An act so strange that it caused even Mithias and Hale to hesitate, suspecting some form of trick. He dropped his swords, the two fortunes sinking inot the stone floor up to the hilt. Their mere weight allowed them to slice through the granite with ease. With a strange hiss, the one remaining mechanism within Kami's suit then activated. Thick clouds of steam emerge from the cracks, but it is not holy. Instead, with surprise, Hale and Mithias noticed that the armour was opening, every movement revealing more steam. It would have been impossible to breathe in that suit, with this much of the stuff compressed into it.

Through the walls of steam a sillouette could be spotted, as the metallic armour crashed to the floor. Taking the opportunity granted by his opponent's surprise, Kami had seemingly removed the only advantage he had had. However, Mithias had already suspected a trick. And even as both Hale and Mo moved in for the kill, he noticed something others might have missed. Something that he would have expected to be there, and yet was oddly absent.

A heartbeat.

Even straining his superhuman hearing as far as he could, he couldn't detect a heartbeat. Previously, he had believed it had been the armour that had blocked his hearing, in order to allow Kami to sneak up on vampires. But even now, without his armour in place, he gave off no signs of life. And even as the steam started to clear, Mithias was suddenly very sure that something was very, very wrong.

----------------------------------------------------

Magnus was in the middle of his torture, leaning down to teach this child a lesson. His pride demanded it of him, that he show this fledgeling the power of an Oldblood. But even as absorbed as he was, he felt it. A change. A shift. Looking back, he felt a darkness within Kami's mind. And when he reached out, his findings nearly stunned him. Gone was the stern devotion, the unending loyalty, the underlying hatred of vampires. Gone was the powerful, structured mind of the genius killer. Once, he had felt a spark. A speck of black deep within the warrior's mind. And now, it seemed to have engulfed him. A hatred beyond hatred, anger and rage that devoured all conscious thought, a cruel hunter's sadistic joy, as if he were gearing up for a kill. A twisted, cruel mind with wicked tendencies not too far from his own, not intelligent but cunning.

Multiple personality disorder? Extreme situational psychosis? Whatever the medical term, Magnus knew what had happened.

Jekyll was gone. And Hyde had entered the house.

The moment Kami dropped his blades Hale stepped back, curious to see what he planned.
Immediately he realized he missed an opening and cursed under his breath.
"Hale! Mith!" Magnus yelled out without looking up from his cruelty.
"The last bit of identity he had is gone. He's less human than you are now."
While he took care to protect himself, he treated his hammer with reckless abandon.
Hale eyed the blades, sheathed in stone. Those were mad sharp, how were they still untouched? His hammer was sure starting to look worse for wear.
Nevertheless he swung it overhead to distract Kami or, if lucky, crack his skull like an egg.

The hammer seemed to strike something solid. And yet, it was completely immobilized. As Hale tried to jerk his hammer free, the steam was blown away by Mo's rainstorm. The revealed figure was holding the sledgehammer in his hand, having caught the blow barehanded.

Tall and covered in muscles, Kami struck an imposing figure. Much like one would expect from a human attempting to match vampires. And yet, his skin was a pale white. He was dressed in nothing but a spandex pair of pants, showing off the thousands of scars that covered him, each looking as if it were merely a few days old. A giant silver crucifix had been nailed to his chest, letting off clouds of steam as it burned his skin, the veins around it pulsing a sickly blue. His eyes glowed a bright red, revealing him for what he truly was.

The armour that had seemed so deadly, lay on the floor. It's inner workings lay revealed, a series of tiny silver crucifixes layered alongside one another. A simple machination, controlling how much surface area to apply. The suit had never been the source of Kami's strengths, the legends surrounding it pure fairy tail. It had been a control mechanism, torturing Kami's vampiric side into submission. Exposure to enough crucifixes to break him, to reforge him into a weapon. His psyche shattered, and rebuilt.

Perhaps even Kami himself had believed the lie, that he was a human. That his pains were merely burns, or old battle scars.

But there was no doubt in the creature's eyes now. No honor, no duty. No religious fervor, nor righteous rage. It was a wounded animal, finally released from it's cage. A blood-crazed vampire, waiting only to test it's freedom. In mere moments, it would pounce upon the nearest warm-blooded creature, ripping it apart in a feeding frenzy. And yet, the simple act of surviving the cage it had been locked in marked this creature as no ordinary beast. It was an Oldblood.

Slowly, it pressed down on the sledgehammer it held. The metal head seemed to crumple in on itself, forming into a ball in the creature's hands, even hardened steel like play dogh to the undead. Then, with an ear-shattering shriek, it launched itself forward, a clawed hand reaching for Hale's throat.

Rain turned to downpour. Wind slowly picked up.

There was an wicked sense of satisfaction in decay.
To not shatter something outright, but strip away layers of self.
Until only the raw truth was left, the core of an identity was laid bare.
Hale knew it was a dangerous game. When you force creatures to be themselves..
It brings the monster out. Sometimes more literal than other.

The moment the hammer stopped dead in it's tracks Hale knew he'd struck gold.
This was it.
Hale's grip on the hammer loosened, he could feel the force on it and knew it was forsaken.
Accompanied by a screech that flooded his audible senses with pain a pale claw reached out to him.

Hale has no real instincts to speak off. Not if you'd ask any other werewolf in any case.
But a combination of reflex and the tantalizing scent of scorched vampire skin kicked what little instincts he had left into gear.
Before he'd recognized what happened his stupid smirk had opened and caught the claw. The searing pain of sharp nails scratching his tongue brought tears to Hale's eyes and strength to his jaw.
As his thick canines sunk into scarred white flesh the brilliant taste of Kami's blood clouded Hale's mind.
Bloodlust.

Ashlynn still lingered in Martin's cell.
She knew she was in a hurry to go. But now he'd gotten her to focus on her sire, all she wanted to to was help her sire.

"I have to go help her."
"Help her? What will you do?"
"...I.. I don't.."
"A danger that would threaten her. Wouldn't that be an impossible challenge to you? Do you have a plan?"
"I.. I'll improvise."
Martin smiled genuinely
"Improvise. I like that. I improvise often."
Ashlynn nodded awkwardly and moved in a way indicating she was going to leave.
"I'll help you."
"Why?"
"I like you."
Ashlynn shook her head. What was this stranger saying.
"... How could you even help. You're just a wounded human."
"I'll improvise."
Martin tilted his head to the side, his long white dreads hung down to the side, laying his neck bare.
"We'll improvise."

Hank knew what was happening, that silver bullet was the easy way to kill the fucker, technically the gun would still work but no way he would get more then one shot out of it before it exploded, maybe two if braced correctly. But now, his arm was in a hold to be severed, Magnus was strong, but so was Hank.

Hank drove his foot into Magnus'es knee forcing him to let Hank go, He then swung his fist is a sideways motion sending the old blood into a spiral. Fighting this guy was not something that would be easy, his strength could match the old blood, but he had experience, he knew how to use all his powers, Hank was still struggling with them. He had to level the field before Magnus tor him a new one.

Hank grabbed the Jet Injector from his jacket. The vile inside was filled with dead mans blood, the stuff was weeks old. Old enough to do damage, but pushing its limit for any form of energy for vampires, a vampire would have to be really desperate for blood to even consider trying the crap. He held the machete in one hand and the injector in the other. He knew the old blood was faster, he would have to hope his strength and his armor would hold him back long enough to try and level the field.

The storm had really picked up, randomly bursting into waves of heavy rain, then wet wind, then rain again. The fires were basically out and the sky had clouded darkly. Oh when would it finally be night? Mithias had wisely retreated when he saw Kami dive his blades into the ground. He stood ready, just far enough not to get his head blown off by some bomb. Hank screamed as Magnus gave his best attempt at 'mercy.'

The armor clattered to the ground, its holiness repelling even Mithias at this distance, and the steam blew off to reveal the monster Kami had been all along. Mithias blinked in astonishment. "You're a vampire?" But what shocked him more than anything was the severity of Kami's torment. His suffering and hunger were immense, destroying any semblence of a person and consuming him into a nameless, mindless entity. He was, as Magnus had said, less human than any of them, and the fact that none if it had killed him thus far... he must have been insanely powerful. Mithias cringed at the buring iron cross on Kami's chest, the sick, pulsing veins. Even blood starved, Kami was healing through it constantly. Who had made this monster? How could he have come to be?? Moreover, was there any way to put him out of his misery?

The sledgehammer crumpled with ease, and Mithias knew right away he had nowhere near this creature's strength. Something akin to a sixth sense showed him that Kami was about to rip off Hale's lower jaw only seconds prior. Mithias quickly called for assistence with an undeniable degree of urgency to his voice. "Magnus?!!" Hank would have to wait as he was definitely not the most immediate priority. Supreme strength was a gift up Magnus' ally, and it was going to be needed.

The thought to flee crossed Mithias' mind, but this wasn't a fight any one of them could win alone anymore. This was going to take all they had, now or never. The blood of a knight roared through the vampire's veins, and he braced himself bravely. "GET OUT OF HERE HANK!" He called out, not knowing any way to assure the young vampire's survival.

Knowing Kami's blades were probably boobytrapped, Mithias tried to attack with his own. They should have been able to cut any vampire's flesh. He wanted to free Hale, but even still, cutting into a tormented animal seemed wrong. The scarred, bleeding and pained pale flesh tugged at his sense of mercy. He took a slash at Kami's arm.

The creature did not hesitate as Hale bit down. Even as three of it's fingers were seperated, leaving only bloody stumps behind, the creature did not even flinch. Rather, it dug both it's thumb and little finger into the skin of Hale's cheek, puncturing it and holding him in place. He pulled Hale close, his fangs flashing. Had Hale been any less of a warrior than he was, his neck would have been ripped out in that very moment. But Hale managed to dodge aside, even just slightly, causing the vampire to dig it's fangs into his shoulder. Already he could feel himself being drained. Worse yet, however, was the burning. It was like acid, the blood in his throat. It burned him as if it were silver, filling him with agony. His insides were beginning to dissolve, and only his immense constitution could keep him from dying at the damage he was taking.

Mithias charged forwards, aiming to protect his ally. Kami stood almost motionless, utterly enraptured by the scent of blood. And yet, he could not make himself land a killing blow. Strangely, Kami's former torment shielded him from the knight's wrath. And the blade passed harmlessly through his left arm, dropping it to the ground. Blood spat out, as if it had been compressed before. And yet where it touched, Mithias burned. He could feel it burning it's way through his clothing, eating away at his flesh. Even his blades seemed to take damage at the touch of the stuff, although they were far from breaking. Kami's vampiric power was revealed, as Mithias belatedly realized that the blood that now spurted all over him was highly acidic.

Four months ago.
An abandoned warehouse on the borders of the bayou, Louisiana.
Magnus arrives on a stolen bike. There's music blasting from somewhere inside.
Kicking open the large metal doors he is met with a wall of smoke and sweet scent.
In a pile of hay and shredded pillows he finds the guy he's looking for, surrounded by unconscious young men and women.
"Took me a while to find you."
"It's been a while, friend."
"Too long." Magnus looked at the female sleeping on Hale's shoulder with disgust. She was bleeding from the neck.
"Last time you said you were done with that."
Hale laughed softly, without waking anyone up. "Talk about the pot calling the kettle black."
"Even if it's tabboo, at least vampire blood makes me strong. You just like to get high."
"So? You sayin' it's unhealthy?" Hale spat sarcastically as he filled a dirty glass half-full with blood from the pale bloodsuckers neck.
"You're out of touch with your natural self. I can read it in your soul."
"You can read it in my face, hear it in my words. I don't care. Haven't turned in years."
Hale filled the other half of the glass with energy drink and vodka.
"How will the other wolves respect you now?"
"I don't want their respect. I don't care. If I need something, they'll listen to strength."
Hale downed the cocktail in one go. The volatile mixture burned his throat. Ecstatic.
"So.. I owe you a favor still don't I? Guessin' that's why yer here?"
Magnus dropped a sports-bag full of paper money. "I need a wolf army."

---

Now
Screams and howls. Torrential rain. Darkness slowly falling.
Howls of pain were replacing howls of the hunt.
The army he had gathered crumbled slowly as all of the battlefield had descended into madness. No side really won here, all that survived would go home forever changed.

But Hale could pay no mind to such misery. The taste of blood brought back memories. Memories of wild rides and vile visions. This blood was strong and course. It was more sour than the drinks he used to make. The pain in his throat was refreshing. Like a bright light piercing your eyes at the break of dawn. Hale's body reflexively made a stand and rejected what he put in. Coughing and spitting he regurgitated a mix of acid blood and stomach contents violently over the abomination sinking it's teeth in his shoulder. The sting of teeth, the sapping feeling of draining blood, his empty stomach. It made Hale dizzy. As if in a trace he listened and smelled the battlefield. The mayhem and destruction were inspiring. Digging at something long forgotten. Then he noticed one scent. One scent that triggered a rage unknown. It was the scent of the Lady Mo. The scent of a dying alpha.

Hale felt an urge he had long suppressed. Until he had forgotten the feeling. The wild, the hungry, the true beast.
He let go a terrible howl. A cry distorted with pain and fury. An unsettling dirge that cut into every man's courage.
The sound of reforming bones, breaking and resetting. The smell of blood and hair. The sight of bright white glowing eyes.
Hale grew. His relatively thin arms grew muscular claws. His shoulders broadened accompanied by the sound of Kami's jaw dislocating.
Vile smirk made place for brutal maw, and rows of teeth closed around the neck of his, now smaller, prey.

Hale turned. He finally turned. The ground trembled.
This was the moment Magnus really wanted to get out.
Magnus looked Hank in the eyes. His eyes were still sure. Hank was set on fighting him.
Listen up fledgling, you have an important choice to make.
In a few seconds I run. Run away from all this war. Flee to live and kill another day.
You can either take advantage. Or you can do the same.
Take a shot at killing? Or take a shot at survival?

---

Shockwaves traveled trough caverns deep. Echoes of destruction reached even the deepest catacombs.
"What goes on up there?" Martin wondered out loud. Breaking Ashlynns concentration as she debated mentally if she wanted to bite him.
"War." She whispered quietly.
"Then we should leave here first."
"I know a way out."
Ashlynn broke his bonds. First she'd see the moonlight, then she'd decide what to do with this guy.

(posting for Wiz for a few days. Correct me if I am wrong.)

Unhindered, the titanium blade cut clean, severing Kaminokage's left forearm in two. The forceful spray of blood that resulted caught Mithias completely by surprise and splashed him directly in the face. Kami's blood splattered his front heavily despite the rain. Such a violent retort was totally unexpected and took its full vengeance on the vampire.

Golden eyes snapped shut as Mithias gasped and quickly staggered back holding his blades up defensively. Blood ran from his eyes and down his face as Kami's caustic blood melted through anything it touched. Mithias could heal from such wounds, but for the moment, he was blind and scrambling to protect himself. In an instant, he had lost his strategic position and that was basically a death sentence against an oldblood.

Mithias could have made a lethal strike while Kami was immobilized by the ecstacy of feeding, but he did not. Kami wasn't human. He was one of them, a vampire, their own, and God only knew what had happened to him to turn him into the tortured slave he had become. It was like that time in the woods long ago. The vampiriess was just trying to survive. She didnt' deserve to be tortured, and she wanted to help. Then the conversations about morality went on, each question only opening the door to more questions. It was maddening. If Kami had done this to himself, which is what it looked like, then he was no different than Mithias had been while working for Soldier. Both of them had been slaves to... humans? to morality? It was sickening to think it could only end in tradgic death.

Mithias cursed his merciful heart and tried to regenerate his eyes as rapidly as possible. "Magnus! Where are you?!" The psychopathic ex-leader wasn't coming. Mithias was in that moment, legitimately afraid.

With a howl, Hale transformed into his werewolf form, gaining incredible strength, bulk, and lightning reflexes that were driven by instinct and carnal hunger. Kaminokage's fangs were torn out of Hale's shoulder as the werewolf changed shape. As Kami stalled in his post-feeding transient stupor, Hale's giant wolf-jaws clamped down across his entire neck. It looked like Hale would simply eat him.

But both were in deprived states, reduced to ravenous animals with their power hightened by rage and thirst.

Blood poured from Kami's neck, filling Hale's mouth, dissolving his teeth and quickly melting through flesh, deep into the bones of his jaws. Hale's tongue was utterly gone and the pain was mindnumbing. Yet as hard as the werewolf clamped down, the bones wouldn't break, and the flesh proved resilient. Kami's eyes sparked a light as he began to awaken to some level of sense. The oldblood could heal at unfathomable rate, as evidenced by the silver cross persistently burning on the front of his chest, a cross that would also be burning the werewolf and sapping Hale's resolve. Suddenly, pale clawed hands, with all fingers attached, reached up and latched onto Hale's neck and arm. The monster was present again, already healed, and it had tasted blood.

Kami grabbed Hale tightly, sinking his claws slowly into the tough, furred meat of Hale's neck and into his arm. Strangely, the much smaller vampire started to pry the monsterous beast off himself. It didn't look possible, yet it was happening. Kami slowly forced Hale's arm aside but refused to let it go as he brought Hale's wolf face directly in front of his own. The acid blood had melted a lot of the fur off where it had touched, leaving bloody flesh and bone beneath.

Still not at full strength, the oldblood vampire sought to drink everything Hale had left. He grappled with Hale, bashing him with fists that hit like iron, biting him and trying to latch on to drink. Had Hale not been the drugged up immortal that he was, he would have had his limbs torn off. Magnus and Hank could see that Hale was only buying time. He was going to be killed without help, and Mithias was still kinda useless.

Of all the glory of battle nothing was left. The challenge of competition nor the thrill of the hunt served to motivate.
For the first time in a long time Hale was in pain. Even though he wouldn't decay, even though he couldn't rot.
This shit was starting to hurt. And blood-lust fell, as the disgusting squirming Kami proved inedible.

Kami grabbed him with regenerated arms and attempted another bite. Hale was sick of it. He started to hate his opponent.
Rage fuelled by hunger made place for fury fuelled by frustration. Inspired by the palpable fear that was thick in the air.
If Hale had noticed the fear came from Mithias he would have lunged him too. Useless leech. Right now his mind was nothing but destruction.
With every jolt of force his muscles gave the earth crumbled a little. There was nothing left of his equipment, nor was there left of reason.

With one claw he caught Kami's head as it lunged forward.
With a clawed thumb and pinkie he burrowed deep into his eye sockets and with long talon fingers he drew deep bloody lines, scraping the skull bone. The burning blood on his fingers seared his flesh further, but he would heal, tomorrow. He would live. He would sleep. He would drink.
But first.
With the desperate brutal force of a wolf no vampire could match he snapped Kami's head backwards while grabbing his neck in a vice pulling forward. One by one Kami's vertebrae snapped out of place or outright shattered. The healing wounds on Kami's neck were torn open.
"Not food." An echo of Hale's self emerged between growl and snarl.
"Weapon." Hale threw his full weight into Kami, forcing the beast to the ground to struggle in his death throes.
The pouring rain washed both down as he pushed his foe down in the muddy earth.
"I. break weapon." Hale roared into Kami's blinded face while he tightened the grip on his skull, nails digging into his brain.

---

The structure shook under the stress of war and the presence of Hale.
Rumbling echoed trough the catacombs.
"Hurry!"
Martin and Ashlynn ran trough the small carved tunnel behind the red door.
With irregular intervals the world shook around them.
Martin wheezed. He wasn't in the best condition, the world was turning hazy.
There was a light in the distance. "I'm out of energy.."

The enraged werewolf's immense strength was overbearing, as he pushed back the bloodcrazed Oldblood. However, he had already taken far too much damage to win this fight. Most of his neck and some of his lower organs had been completely destroyed, the flesh from most of his face had been molten away. Only his timely vomiting and immense regenerative capabilities kept him alive despite the gruesome mutilation of his form. Blood loss and internal damage would prove the end for him, as each attack unleashed a new burst of acidic blood, eating through flesh and bone. Any other werewolf would have fallen long before this, but Hale's body simply wasn't able to cope with the stress put on it in it's current state. This wasn't a battle of strength, nor was it truly a battle at all. It was merely a matter of time, and not much.

Kami's neck was snapped, and Hale's fangs ripped into the exposed flesh. They then dissolved instantly, minimizing the damage he was able to do, even as Kami's neck moved back into place. Kami had been forced to the ground, wrestling the mutilated werewolf. But as Hale's body started collapsing in on itself under the stress, Kami simply launched Hale over his shoulder, smashing him into the wall. His hunger was decreased, and his intelligence was returning. But he had tasted blood, and still hungered for more.

The muscled figure walked over to the already recovering Hale, and bit into the werewolf's leg. The werewolf thre Kami, only to once more be forced down. Frantic clawing dealt more damage to Hale than it did to his target, the acid blood seeming with no end, making all efforts to weaken Kami useless. This battle had been decided the moment Hale's teeth had closed around Kami's hand. Perhaps it would have played out differently, had Hale known of Kami's acidic blood, had he not gotten himself so grievously wounded before the fight had begun in earnest. But as it stood now, Hale could not win this fight on his own.

Painful? Sure. Harmful? Kinda. But Hale's body was very used to the inedible and unnatural. Lethal? Not by a long shot.
The mud and streaming rain diluted the blood and softened it's bite. And hale let his mouth fill with the soothing heaven liquid at every chance.
He would outlast as he had outlasted everything. The vile blood was a nuisance, the biting was trouble, but Kami's refusal to just fucking die. That was what was getting to Hale. Raging in fury he was flung trough the air and into one of the few walls still standing. Not for long.
The blinded Kami was walking in his direction and tried to bite his leg. He got a vicious cut from Hales hind leg for it. The blood sprayed, Hale kicked up splashes of mud to counter it. He was starting to instinctively avoid the caustic vitae. In his beastly frame of mind he couldn't recognize how Kami relied on the acid in his blood. He just avoided pain. Neither did he recognize how Kami's tactic was now fully dependent on blood sucking. He just wanted nothing more than to smash it's face to pulp. The wall behind him crumbled under the weight of his rage, Hale took a hold of a large chunk and brutally smashed Kami's blind bloody face in. With mindless blunt force he rammed the crude rock into the vampires mouth over and over. Pulverizing it's teeth, shattering it's jawbone, ruining what was left of his spine. He kept smashing. Every impact less crush and more squish than the one before. When the rock was all but crumbled to dust he simply grabbed a second and continued his hatred fueled mutilation.

Hit after hit, one louder than the other. There was no way of telling if the twitches on the creature he was brutalizing were reaction or simply from impact. Now completely covered in dark red mud and gore, Kami's form was far from recognizable. Under the weight of rhythmic ruin and under the effect of Hale's presence, the caverns below them finally gave in. With cracking sound the ground split apart underneath them. Hale kicked Kami down and pushed the crumbled stone wall down the hole after it. "Fuckin' Shtay death!" Hale spat with broken teeth.
