This is just your average world-hopping, find-the-dingus RP. You're strangers in a strange land, transported by chance, with no way out but forward. In order to leave this place and go on to the next world, you must find and retrieve a gemstone that will fuel the Chroniker device, your only means of finding home.
The Chroniker Device and Vanishing Stones
CHRONIKER: A clunky steampunky gadget that can be worn on the wrist, that has a slot for a Vanishing Stone. It displays a compass that always points toward the Vanishing Stone. When a Vanishing Stone is inserted and the turnkey is wound, the wearer and anyone touching the Chroniker is transported to a random world. The Vanishing Stone is left behind.
VANISHING STONE: A rough-edged gem the size of a coin, with what appears to be a view of the night sky glittering inside it. When a person touches the stone, they are transported to the world where the Chroniker is located. There is only one Vanishing Stone in each world, and each Vanishing Stone is bound indefinitely to its respective world.

Your Character
Characters should be originals only. They may be from Earth's present, past or future; or from any original, non-fandom world of your choosing. They may be of any race, with any ability and any background you can imagine. Some things to consider:
- Worldbuilding is encouraged where it directly explains aspects of a character, but try not to go overboard. Most worldbuilding will probably not be used in the RP.
- There will be moderate opportunity for battle, but exploration, curiosity, puzzles, mystery, stealth, logic and moral dilemmas will be at the forefront. That is to say, no matter how much or how little power or skill a character has, all are equal as long as they make an effort.
- Characters' actions will lead the story. In this RP, the GM will follow your lead. There is no linear plot. If your character does not act, or waits idly for something to happen to him, nothing at all will happen and this RP will die. I'm trusting you to be proactive and to know what your character wants.
Character Application
Post your CS application in the OOC. Approved characters may be reposted in the Characters tab.

Gameplay
INTERACTION is key. Characters should be prepared to examine and interact with their environment, the NPCs, and especially with each other. The environment and everything around you may be touched, taken, altered or destroyed. NPCs lie. Small actions may have world-shifting consequences. You are the hero -- or the villain.
