I just realized that Duskclaw and Honeypaw are at the Great Sycamore.. with Sandfire, Bravefeather, Stonepaw, and Shadowpaw.

I feel like some sort of time jump is happening.

I noticed everyone by the Great Sycamore, but just kinda went under the assumption that the sycamore was big enough that maybe the cats had not yet notice one another.

More importantly, on to the topic of the legality of Blizz's character being withheld for the RP. I cannot stand idly by while someone expressly desires for their character to be removed from an RP, regardless of the fact that Blizz was kicked out. This is in no way a respectable or moral thing to do.

Surely Warriors is copyrighted by their respective authors, and by that extension, none of these characters are purely original. They have their roots within the fiction of three or four separate and established, authors.

However, these characters are still the original creations of their respective roleplaying authors, and therefore do not fall into the total jurisdiction of the GM. Surely the GM can dictate what is right and what is wrong and where to the plot is going. But, by taking another writer's character from them, especially a writer who is aware their character is being taken, without their permission, you are expressly plagiarizing. And though Blizz was relatively rude, and broke the rules multiple times, his character is still his character. If he so chooses to kill off Timberpaw, however crude the execution, it is not in your power to say no. I don't understand why Guild, unlike some other RPing sites I am a part of, does not enforce this rule. A character is the property of its author, not the Roleplay, and not the GM. Just think about it in terms of legality; if Blizz so wanted, and this literature was published, then he could very well sue for blatant plagiarism. He killed his character, and I believe that should be the end of that. It appropriately ended his involvement in the RP and removes the character from the game.

@Strawberry425 I understand where you are coming from and I have PM'd Blizz about his character's involvement within the RP. It was always my intention to have their characters killed off quickly from this RP, but the way in which Blizz has done so is neither helpful nor something anyone could easily respond to. His characters are not staying, but since they haven't been dealt with appropriately, I've said that I'd kill them off in a way which will benefit the rest of the players.

However, thinking about it now, it would be inappropriate to keep a hold of them without the player's permission, regardless of my intent of killing them off swiftly. I think it would be easier if everyone ignored their character's involvement in the RP altogether, as if they were never there.

Not to mention that any cat that had any ties to his character if now also not in the rp. It would be easier to just let them go.

Initially, since their characters have been involved with other player's characters, I thought it would make more sense to keep them and kill them off logically so it wouldn't affect the other character's too much. But Strawberry is right, it would be taking his character away from him, and that would be wrong, regardless. I'm going to clear the ranks with their characters and those connected to them now.

Just forgetting about their existence seems to be more logical and simple.

I think this is the best way to go about it In most RPs I've been in, this is ultimately the conclusion when someone does the disappearing trick, and I think it works very appropriately in this situation.

The best thing, at least, was that he gave the roleplay a tough time and you reacted immediately and efficiently. I just wasn't comfortable with the way you worded it; I thought, for some reason, Timberpaw's involvement, regardless of being a background character, would be prolonged within the RP, but I'm glad to hear you were planning to kill him off quickly. Ultimately, however, I'm glad you've deciding to go with ignoring; I think its the one that works best when RPs come to these bumps. I mean, sure, sometimes things might get rocky if those characters were in the middle of interacting with someone else...but at least you will have safely stayed within the rule of not touching somebody else's character without their permission, and then things move on and smooth themselves out!

@Strawberry425 Well, thank you. I'm glad you brought it up, since, the moral aspects of holding onto the characters was a slight over-look on my part. Atleast now, their involvement is cleared without having to keep any of their characters and the RP can run more smoothly.
