"Guwa ha ha ha..."

Arms Slave turned towards his opponent. Azga the Amzaing, level 3 witch doctor. What tricks did he know? At level three he ought to have at least his basic abilities, and Witch Doctors were tricky opponents. Arms Slave would need to take him down quickly. It was unfortunate that he had used up all his Chain Catches getting here and now they were all on cooldown. No matter; he'd just have to charge in the old fashion way.

"I'm going to put my pain into your soul!"

Arms Slave Charged forward with his shields together, ready to intercept any blows and crush Azga underneath their stone faces. His axes were ready to lash out if he tried to dodge, and it wasn't long until the cool down for his Chain Catch would be done and he could ensure that Azga has no where to go but back to the sanctuary.

Dark Wraith rode towards the Red Asphalt as quickly as she could. She was getting messages from her fellow Sweepers that they were arriving to the Black City, though all she did was direct them to Moon Rider. Any questions they had they should ask her. She did worry briefly if Moon Rider could handle the Erasers but put those thoughts aside. Moon Rider wasn't some naive girl who's just started her reign in leadership. Even if she wasn't quite savvy to the Eraser's politics, that didn't mean she would be easy to push around. At the very least she'd be able to hold out until she could finish dealing with the White Sun.

Wasn't long before she arrived to the Red Asphalt. And White Sun was waiting for her not too far away. She seemed cocky despite never facing Dark Wraith before. Perhaps it was due to the level difference.

"Sooooo. You actually showed up. And here I thought you would try to pull some trick on me. Or is this still a ploy?"

Dark Wraith said nothing as she took out her weapon, The Gravelord, and pointed it at White Sun. "We're not here to talk. You wanted to fight? Then let's fight."

White Sun just laughed. She leaned against one of her blades as it was stuck in the ground and started acting very casual. "Oh come on. Not even a hello? Jeez, you're as boring in game as you are in real life. You're just no fun at all! Why don't you actually do something interesting first before I even try?" An obvious taunt. Dark Wraith wasn't the type to attack first, preferring to ware out and test her opponent. But so be it. Dark Wraith released a Miasma to cover her tracks, and forced it to move towards White Sun. White Sun just smiled and picked up her sword.

Flan looked up just in time to get a face full of foot, sending her health bar down a third and the two of them flying head first into the ground. She looked up just in time to see the tail end of Smitten Kitten disappear from sight. "Kitty...." more upset that the cat ran off than she was just attacked. She got to her feet, equipping her bo staff as she took a look at her assailant. Rocket Lancer, and an outlaw at that. If there were any ties to the old medieval era, that would mean he was a duelist and probably pretty straightforward in his attacks. "Did Arms Slave send you? I just got a message from him saying he was gonna kill me. I didn't think he was actually serious or that he would send someone in his place. Oh, of course, I'm not really looking for a fight it you didn't mean to fall on top of me. I don't really care about the extra experience you drop, but then again that lady over there seems always interested in a good fight. I promise I'll stay out of yall's way if you wanna tussle."

The Silver Streaker

The black city was famous in player circles as a den of outlaws. The black guild who'd once run the city had been a force to be reckoned with, allegedly, boasting strong members and one of the fiercest kings to have ever lived. Ever since the black guild collapsed, the 'less wholesome' part of Deep Ground migrated to the derelict city, like homeless people squatting at abandoned warehouses. Since then, it was said that you couldn't go far in the Black City without tripping over outlaws demanding 'protection costs' or just shooting them outright. It was of popular opinion, of both normal players and outlaws, that the black city was a sort of safe zone for the outlaws, and would remain so for a long time.

If only they could see it now.

It had taken some time for the Silver Streaker to get to the scene, despite being one of the faster avatars on Deep Ground. Derelict as it was, the Black City was as large as it had ever been. No matter how much the outlaws had abused it, the structure and landscape remained as a testament to the black guild's once mighty power, and it was clear that the black guild was more than just remnants.

"Well Damn." The Silver Streaker said.

He was on a ruined wall overlooking a certain block of buildings. A block of buildings where blood was being spilled by the dozen. A dozen outlaws, perhaps. Maybe more. All targeting one person. A dark-haired swordswoman weaved in and out of the crowd, dodging bullets with unparalleled ease. In her hand was a curious silver cylinder which projected a glowing plasma blade with every swing. A lightsaber, if Tim had ever seen one. He had, but never in Deep Ground.

The swordswoman dodged and slashed with amazing precision and accuracy, killing outlaws left and right. She didn't use abilities or feats, only pure skill. Tim was mesmerised by the display of skill, the way she killed them with the smallest amount of effort, destroying a dozen outlaws within a minute. Tim almost couldn't believe that she was done so soon, but the outlaws were all dead and the swords-woman quickly moved on, disappearing behind the buildings.

Tim stared after the skilled swords-woman, wondering how long they must have spent in deep ground to be that strong. Evidently, she was extremely high levelled, but levels could only get you so far. Her laser sword must've been exceptional, but that would also only take her so far. She seemed to be very experienced at the game, enough to know exactly how to kill in the most efficient way possible.

"That's some skill..." The Silver Streaker said out loud.

Tim debated following the swords-woman, but decided against it. Turning on the wall, he jumped off and began running through the streets again.

Looks like she's mopping up all of the outlaws for some reason. Tim thought. Best not to get in her way.

Tim didn't want to come between her prey and her sword, so he didn't follow the girl. He didn't know who she was and she didn't know him, but the Silver Streaker had been attacked before by people who didn't know him, and if the girl did mistake him for an enemy, he'd probably die.

Hm, where to now? Tim thought.

Suddenly, he heard a strange noise. Something like a roar, similar to a dissolution, but somewhat different. It sounded, bigger, somehow. The Silver Streaker stopped and turned to the direction of the noise. The sound came again, and Tim jumped into a nearby building, running up the stairs to the roof. As he emerged, what he saw made him stop in surprise. A huge dissolution, heading towards the black city.

The Silver Streaker crouched behind the roof railing, trying to observe without being seen. The dissolution didn't seem to notice him, but continued its march towards the city. Tim could see outlaws surrounding it, as if to jump onto it.

"What are they..." The Streaker said.

Some of the outlaws jumped and the dissolution caught them in mid-air, bringing them to its massive mouth and swallowing them whole. Even then, the outlaws kept coming, jumping up only to be eaten or squashed.

"What the heck are they doing!?" The Silver Streaker yelled, jumping up.

The outlaws submitted themselves, and the dissolution grew stronger. It reached down to pick the final outlaw, lifting the poor person in front of its face and swallowing him in one gulp. All of the outlaws were gone now, and the dissolution made to find more prey, heading to the black city.

"This is gonna be bad." The Streaker said.

The Silver Streaker jumped off of the roof into another building, sprinting and jumping onto another. He made his way to the massive dissolution. It was heading to the black city, and while he didn't know why, he wanted to stop it.

Vargus let out a sigh as another dissolution turned into pixels. Well that was most of the quests he could do right now and it still didn't cover all the EXP he lost. Sighing he closed his quest log and looked at the guild page to see if there was anything of interest. To his surprise he had a PM from one of his guildies, it read

Vargus shrugged irritated, how was he supposed to find out anything about that? Arezuis was a good friend to grind with and take down tough quests but he worried about other things too much. Dismissing it he looked at his map, it looked like his questing had taken him near the black city, perhaps he should have a little look around to see what was going on. Probably nothing serious, though everybody made this black king thing a huge deal, maybe they were right. He began walking towards the city quickly making his way inside.

As he casually strode through the city seeing a remarkable lack of anyone when he began feeling a loud pounding through the ground. Of course he had been hearing it for several minutes, but he had thought nothing of it. Stepping back from the street he had been about to cross into he withdrew deep into the alley way and waited, after several more minutes the pounding grew heavier and heavier and eventually a massive Dissolution passed by. Vargus tried to take a look at its level and to his surprise it was a deep red color, a level 5!

He withdrew deeper into the shadows of the alleyway glad he hadn't made the mistake of crossing that things path, even with his Flesh Golem out it would probably rip him to pieces by himself. Vargus thought briefly about following it but opted against it, if that creature suddenly changed direction he could find himself dying. Again. He was still working off his debt form his last death no way he was going to risk another one. Though perhaps he was doing that just be being here if things like that roamed here at will. Shrugging he stepped out and continued moving as soon as the pounding lessened to indicate a safe distance. Perhaps he could find a limited quest or something in a place like this, who knew?

Static smiled as she listened to Nies' words. See the Black City, huh? Nies didn't seem all that much different from herself, who wanted to see the Black King yesterday. As for the other one, we'll, it didn't look like the other healer was even paying attention to the conversation. Oh well, not everyone could enjoy time with others. For now, Static could enjoy herself with this person instead.

"My name's Static, although you can probably already tell from the display," Static said, scratching the back of her head. "Well, there's not really all that much to see. Just a bunch of large black skyscrapers dotted here, there, and everywhere. Still, as long as you're here..." Static opened her inventory and equipped her trusty naginata, the weapon appearing in her hand. "We might as well go sightsee."

As Static turned around, she remembered something. "Oh yeah, I thought I heard a crash somewhere nearby!" Static said enthusiastically, turning back around to face Nies. "We should go find it! Maybe there's an injured Outlaw we could kill!" Not waiting for a reply, Static ran off, careful to keep her speed low enough for Nies to follow, assuming the healer chose to.

The other healer didn't even seem to notice that they were there, despite both of them speaking with him. Maybe he was in his own little world. Ah well. Nies wasn't going to try and bother him, when there was someone else who seemed willing to enjoy her company. Jeez, she was going from one extreme to another, wasn't she? Depressed because someone was ignoring her, and now all excited because someone was paying attention to her.

She smiled at Static, in relief and nodded as she spoke. "Well, it just seems like a massive coincidence that the game forced us to log out on the day the black city opened up, doesn't it?" She said, following after static, noticing that the other girl was going slower for Nies sake. Grateful, Nies made sure she wasn't lagging, and tried to maintain a good speed.

"I'd like to check it out, cause there was music before it, and a...well I don't know if you can say friend, we speak a bit of time together yesterday before being logged out, but...well anyway, he uses music generally to make sure people get out his way. he drives pretty crazily" Not that she herself could drive any differently, but still. And she was still babbling. She dropped her gaze, and just focused on her breathing as she tried to go faster, so that she wasn't dragging static back too much.

Direct Hit!

A direct hit! He thought, I guess I'm more accurate than I thought!

He jumped to his feet and turned to face Flan.

"Confident, are ya? Well I've been doing PvP for 3 whole years now, you really think you can beat me?" He said, "And what's this about Arms Slave? I told him you were mine."

He had a pretty good idea of what Arms Slave had sent. A few of his targets had mentioned something along those lines when he'd hunted them down, one of them had even shown him the message. Maybe Arms Slave was compensating for something.

"And I'm a duelist, I'm practically made for PvP!" He said.

He looked around and sure enough, there actually was someone there. The weird thing was he couldn't see her name but she clearly wasn't an NPC. And actually, now that he got a closer look at Flan, there was something else...

"Hey wait a sec, you're actually a girl, aren't you? You're way too pretty to be a guy!" He said.

Azga's eyes widened as he was rushed in upon by the Arms slave. At the last possible moment, mustering up all the courage and coolness he could, he raised his palm shakily and whispered the word; "No."

Upon the words, the shields attempting to hit him would bounce off as though two negative sides of a battery were struggling to touch; a slightly translucent purple aura appeared when the berserker tried to get close and was bounced away. Azga kept his palm up though his wide, golden eyes never left the Arms Slave. He swallowed as a visible bead of virtual sweat ran down his neck. With a nervous exhale, his other hand pushed his glasses up his nose and he closed his eyes. The golden witch doctor cleared his throat and took a deep breath. With all the bravado and dignity he still had left, he glared up at the arms slave, doing his best to look unruffled despite the fact that he was shaking in his boots.

"I choose not to fight you...yet."

Thank God for fall damage, I’d be stuck at level 2 if not for it! was the one thought that went through Jukebox's mind as he stabbed an an outlaw in the back and kicked her off the roof of the building. As he was waiting for the points to add to his EXP bar a message popped up.

To: Unrelenting Jukebox
From: Arms Slave
Subject: NO SUBJECT

I know what I have become... I am the inside of this world... I taste the gore, and I smell the crying... AND I WANT MORE! I want to bathe in your flesh, I want to savor your fear. I wanna live inside a castle built of your agony, AND I WANT TO CRUMBLE IT WITH AN AXE TO YOUR CAROTID ARTERY!

The sheer lunacy of the message was confusing “I know what I have become... I am the inside of this world... I taste the gore"... huh is this guy related to the idiot who spammed me when I first logged in?

To: Arms Slave @Lucius Cypher
From: Unrelenting Jukebox
Subject: Re:NO SUBJECT

Hi Mr Slave,
Can I ask you a question? Do you write your own material or are you colluding with someone? If so, you need to get some more pointers from the other guy and work on your timing. The one who spammed me when I was just a wee level 1 had a lot more imagination than you.

That guy hit me more psychologically y’know, being called a disease that infected the very code of DGO? You are trying to make yourself the cause of fear, but I don’t know you well enough to be scared, sorry. I will say that I enjoyed the “I am the inside of this world” part, very creative.

Well if you want to fight me or whatever I’m not really worth the effort. I’ll probably flee, or run you over... run you over while fleeing? I don’t know, no plan survives first contact so why bother, am I right?

Anyway, this was a good chat. Please if you want someone to proofread your threats send them my way and I’ll be sure to give you some more feedback! :)

Cheers,
Unrelenting Jukebox

Hitting send Jukebox had nowhere else to go, so looking down off his roof, to where the outlaw splatted, he saw a familiar face running down the street.

“Nies! HEY, NIES! I'M HEADING TO THE SANCTUARY WANNA COME WITH~♪?”

Grabbing a drain pipe, Jukebox tried to slide down it, but it slowly started breaking away from the wall under his weight. As it fell the pipe got wedged between two buildings with Jukebox in the middle. Slowly climbing onto the pipe, Jukebox carefully made his way across to the next building, scrambling up as the pipe fell away to the ground.
Visibly shaken Jukebox looked down again and shouted “I’M JUST GONNA FIND SOME STAIRS, SEE YOU IN A BIT~♪!”

Stressfully running his hands through his blonde locks Jukebox started down the stairs when a level 2 outlaw stepped onto the staircase and swung a bright red fire axe at Jukebox’s head. Slipping on the stairs to get out of the way, the axe sparked off the railing and hit Jukebox in the shoulder taking a solid 15% of Jukebox’s health.

Emptying the clip of his PPK into the outlaw dealt him rather low damage, but managed to stagger the apparent warrior. Taking out his “V’s Dagger” Jukebox stabbed the warrior in the hand and stole his axe. Hefting it in his hand Jukebox asked,
“Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?” which prompted music to explode through the building.

Swinging at the warrior, Jukebox clipped his arm "Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes," his next swing forcing the warrior to fall down the stairs to get out of the way.

Taking a deep breath Jukebox pursued "but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically." swinging the axe like a golf club stunned the outlaw "The whole album" dodging the warrior's punch "has a clear, crisp sound, and a new-" another 3% of health when the knuckle duster hit "-sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost... y'know what? This joke has gone on long enough!"
Smashing the axe into the warrior’s head like he was splitting logs caused the warrior to explode into crystals. Sitting on the steps Jukebox caught his breath and chuckled “Try getting a reservation at Dorsia now...” getting up Jukebox took the axe and wandered out to see Nies.

“Nies! Good to see you knocking about! Shame about the car, I totaled it getting here, but you sure did a number on it first!” turning to the other player Jukebox went into a slight bow “Hi, Unrelenting Jukebox, but the floating name told you that. Pleasure. I haven’t been to Black City’s Sanctuary yet... would you two like to come along for the ride? Or is there some party you two are headed to?”

Nies jolted when someone shouted at her. It didnt take her long to recognise Jukebox, and Nies let out a breath, glad he was okay. As he gave a running commentary of his progress down to them, and Nies gave a giggle. He just had such..innocence, and he didn't seem to care that he was probably attracting a lot of people with his shouting. "And there's Jukebox" She said to Static, "He does things without thinking" She said, as he shouted that he was going to use the stairs, the pipe having been a failure.

She changed course slightly towards the building Jukebox had been yellowing from, She slowed as there was fighting, she saw Jukebox just getting up, wandering out of the building. She blushed when he mentioned the car. She had flipped it in the battle yesterday, when Jukebox had given her the wheel. It wasn't her fault, she didn't exactly know how to drive after all. "Well, you're the one who gave me the wheel in the middle of a battle!" She exclaimed, "I'm surprised I didn't crash it sooner!" She said, but gave Jukebox a smile.

She nodded at the mention of the sanctuary, and said "I haven't been in the city that long, and thought it better to find someone to work with. I have a weapon, but it doesn't do much good without someone whose more of a warrior" She said, looking to Static, "I'd like to go. If Static does, it would be great if we could go together"

Nies seemed to have settled down, her babbling seemed to have ceased and she seemed more comfortable now, or at least not so nervous.

“There.”

Moon Rider halted in her tracks near suddenly, flashing out a pitch black pistol and aiming it in a random direction. It was a FN Five-Seven handgun, nothing that really stood out. Even so, the Black King was just as deadly with long-range than short-range. Narrowing her eyes, she fired off a few rounds and waited in silence.

Because in reality, it was not a random direction, but rather the area around Smitten Kitten. She knew she wouldn’t get off a clean hit on their trailing adversary, but it wasn’t meant to kill either way. Moon Rider wanted to intimidate, to let the Level 1 Player know that the Black King was quite willing to slay her as well.

“We’ll have to deal with this one first,” she told Newt before gripping her deactivated beam saber in hand. “Show yourself. Perhaps I’ll only cut off one limb if you do.”

Smitten Kitten’s appearance was enough to distract her from the threat of the Level 5 Dissolution. The now rather massive creature snarled darkly, smoke trailing from its open sockets and gaping mouth. It lumbered about, ignoring any that dared to get in its way until it reached the gates of the Black Kingdom.

With a howl that was akin to chalkboards being scratched up and slammed against each other, the monster Dissolution made its presence known. With a hefty arm, it swung at one of the many black monoliths, shattering the structure into pieces and rumbling the ground below.

For whatever misgivings the other Avatars felt about each other, it was perhaps best to put the aside for now. Because if no one did something soon, the entire Black District would be destroyed, along with any currently residing in it. That was little cause for concern though for Corpse Collector, who stood by Flan’s side with crossed arms and an unimpressed expression.

“Hey, the fuck do you want?”

As blunt as ever. Indeed, it seemed that the Black City was quickly becoming a warzone for all sorts of interesting encounters and conflicts. But while these problems were arising for the Black King, a different Colored King logged onto Deep Ground with ever the chipper attitude.

Welcome, Mercury Titania-Blue King

“Alright! Time to go find Jukey and have some more fun~”

The tall, armored form of Mercury Titania stood proud with her sword cannon strapped to her back. To find Unrelenting Jukebox would require going in with style. And so what better vehicle to ride out into the wind then one’s own personal battle tank? Mounted with a total of three cannons, the war machine rolled out of the territory of the Cobalt Bruisers and headed in the direction of the Black Guild, crossing the lands between.

“Well Jukey wanted to go there earlier, so I’m sure he’s there now. Oooh, and maybe check on Moon Rider too. Heh, I know that those two are just so special…but we’ll have to sit back and seem now won’t we? Heh, no spoilers now~”

"This is kinda bad." The Streaker said.

The large monster had officially entered the building. Fully fed, it was beginning to destroy the city. The Silver Streaker was on one of the black city's many monoliths, far enough away from the dissolution to not to be noticed, and he was going through his options right now.

Should I start with a flying kick? It's kind of fast, though. He thought. I think I'll have to whittle it down. But it's too big to take care of by myself...

Running away was probably an option that everyone would think about, seeing as there was no support to be had. He would essentially be fighting the big demon thing solo, since all of the outlaws had fed it to make it stronger. But to the Silver Streaker, this wasn't an option. Though most of the city was filled with outlaws, there was likely the odd innocent here and there. Especially now, with the reopening of the black guild.

Whatever I do, I have to get it down. The Silver Streaker thought.

The Silver Streaker sighed, stretched his neck and looked at the dissolution.

"Let's do this!" He yelled suddenly.

The Silver Streaker leaped into action, jumping down the monolith and sprinting towards the massive dissolution. He wasn't that far, so he would get there fast enough. The Silver Streaker planned his actions against the giant.

Hitting a big guy like that just anywhere wouldn't do much. He thought, rapidly approaching the huge monster. Gotta go for the joints.

The Silver Streaker ran up the stairs of a building and came up to the roof. His target was rapidly approaching - the back of the giant's knee. Taking a running start, the Silver Streaker dashed forward, jumping off of the roof, foot outstretched to deliver justice.

"Take this! Silver kick!" He yelled.

Huh, no message after all. It probably was a date then.

Taking a look at the clock in the corner of her UI, the Midnight Soloist decided that it was about time she made way to the Guild Hall. Wasn’t like there was much else for her to do, anyways. The Sanctuary was pretty much full of annoying maggoty Outlaws that the Ebony Strykers sent to the grave, and she didn’t have enough leeway in her HP bar to really risk another crazy fun fight. Slipping out of the opaque building, she checked her map, ignored all the sounds of battle around her, as explosions roared in the distance and hot-blooded speeches were made. Those were fun to watch, of course, but she had more important things to do.

After all, she needed to piggyback on the Black King and get the Sanctuary cleared out before she can get her heals.

There were no particularly note-worthy incidents that occurred, outside of some giant Dissolution in the distance smashing apart buildings. It was a little troubling…but hey, if things get bad, Black King will deal with it! No doubt, there was probably going to be an emergency meeting in the Guild Hall for the Ebony Strykers then, and Moon Rider would be able to show off her leadership skills. While Yuuki had never been a part of a raid herself…it did seem super fun!

A spring was in her step as she bounced into the Guild Hall, smacking open the doors once more.

And then, that spring disappeared.

There was no Black King, no Ebony Strykers. Just an Outlaw attacking Azga.

Yuuki stopped. Then she smiled and said, “Abusive boyfriend or something, Azga?”

Static stopped and turned to look at whatever was yelling at Kies. Looking up, she spotted a blonde boy sliding down a drain pipe that quickly broke with his added weight. Static was going to offer whatever help she could, but it seemed like he managed to find a way out of his mess and into a building to reach them. Nies pointed him out and identified him as Jukebox.

Curious, Static watched as he exited the building and conversed with Nies, the two making some small talk with each other. Static snickered at Nies' reactions and expressions. It seemed like the two really hit it off.

Then came the issue at hand: the Black Sanctuary. "I was going to farm some mobs at my usual place, but that gets boring quickly. I might as well hang out with you guys instead," Static said, flashing a cheerful grin and rolling her naginata within her hand. "Who knows, maybe something exciting will happen. Name's Static, by the way, although I'm sure you can already tell." She turned her head a few times and jokingly remarked, "I'd suggest getting a car or something, but listening to you guys, I don't think thats a good idea.

Arms Slave felt... Resistance. A force pushing him back. From this Witch Doctor? Impossible. Then again... He was a tricky opponent. This brought a smile to Arms Slave faceless visage. "I'LL SLICE OFF YOUR EYELIDS SO YOU CAN WATCH THE END!!" Releasing a wicked laughter Arms Slave pushed forward, and where he met resistance, he simple moved around. And despite carrying two heavy shields Arms Slave moved fast, circling around Azga the Amazing to get behind him, ready to resume crushing him with his shields.

Meanwhile he also received a responds from Unrelenting Jukebox. Quite capable of multitasking he shot a responds, only skimming through Jukebox's actual message. Arms Slave got the vague notion that he was actually inviting Arms Slave for a conversation.

Sending the message as Arms Slave was bashing at Azga, he didn't really have time to deal with the newcomer known as Midnight Soloist. No doubt she'd try to attack Arms Slave what with him being an outlaw, but she wasn't a mark for Arms Slave. He just needs to crush Azga now and he could either deal with Midnight Soloist if she fights him, or go find his next target. "There is no me, there is no you! There is only the never ending spit and bile of combat! The twenty-four hour murder spree of shining metal! I drink the blood and eat the loot and breathe the numbers, because I! AM! A MONSTER! NOW AND FOREVER!"

White Sun didn't wait for Dark Wraith to finish whatever she was doing and immediately jumped into the miasma. She didn't stay inside of it for long, as she did a sort of dashing attack where she slashed her weapons in front of her as she moved forward. And as she moved through the miasma, she felt something get in the way of her blade, but she knew this feeling. Dark Wraith hadn't used her Outlaw Declaration yet, meaning that right now neither of them could hurt one another. "Oh? Do you want me to become an outlaw for you? Or do you want to set up first? Act quickly Yoshino!"

It angered Dark Wraith a bit to hear White Sun toss out that name so casually. "Do not... Call me that." Dark Wraith had the Miasma converge onto White Sun, but because neither of them were enemies yet all it would do is obscure her vision. And Dark Wraith couldn't make the miasma move fast enough to keep White Sun constantly in it's blinding field, but at least it would give the necromancer time to find a better vantage point. Facing White Sun in a straight up melee was suicidal for more reasons then one.

Meanwhile White Sun wasn't amused by Dark Wraith's tactics. To her it made the white king think that Dark Wraith wasn't actually prepared for this battle and wasn't going to fight her seriously. "You know, if you really need help I can wait! It looks like you're going to need all of it you can get." White Sun moved out of the Miasma even as it tried to contain her within, and just in time to see Dark Wraith running towards a hill. She was going fast, but White Sun was faster. Dark Wraith had a head start but soon White Sun was giving chase, and it would only be a matter of time before she catches up to her. She would have thrown her sword to hit Dark Wraith on the run, but again neither of them were Outlaws and White Sun wasn't going to waste her cool downs pointlessly trying to hurt Dark Wraith.

Fortunately for her it wouldn't be long before Dark Wraith went on the offensive. Once she got about half-way up a hill she held an Outlaw Declaration in one hand, activating it before White Sun could get to her. That's when Dark Wraith used her Dark Hand against White Sun, draining her of health as she moved closer and closer to Dark Wraith. She braced with her staff as well, ready to intercept the duelist's attack.

White Sun smiled as Dark Wraith went outlaw, now knowing that she was serious for battle. She was hit by the Dark Hand but not for long, dodging to the side to break the lock onto her as well as to get around Dark Wraith's braced weapon. Drawing one of her long-blades, White Sun slashed at the level 5 mage. Her passive feat Mirrors Edge activated, creating not one, but two slashes at once. While White Sun was obviously aiming for Dark Wraith's outstretched hand, even she wouldn't know where the second attack would come from, aside that it could come from anywhere that White Sun would have tried to hit. And she could hit Dark Wraith from anywhere. She had so many openings.

Azga kept his hands up as Arms Slave kept attacking, a nervous bead of sweat racing down his cheeks. The resistance would hold until Azga said it wouldn't, of that he had no worries. It was dealing with such a horror movie situation that entirely unnerved the Witch Doctor and made him feel completely uncool.

“Abusive boyfriend or something, Azga?”

Azga widened his eyes in surprised and looked over to where he'd heard his friends voice. Solo? How had she found him? He hadn't even heard her come in! His attention was ripped away and he winced as the Arm's Slave unrelentingly wailed against his defenses.

"There is no me, there is no you! There is only the never ending spit and bile of combat!" Azga's eyes widened as the Arm's Slave began some sort of monologue. Azga felt utterly and absolutely done for, despair starting to envelop his mind. "The twenty-four hour murder spree of shining metal!" Azga's eyes started to close a little as his glasses slid down his nose. ...Wasn't this going on a bit long...? "I drink the blood and eat the loot and breathe the numbers, because I! AM! A MONSTER! NOW AND FOREVER!"

Azga's eyes were now half closed and he looked utterly... unamused. As he kept his arms up, he stared at the lumbering giant before him as a virtual wind blew with a slight whistle against the hole-ridden building. Had he really just felt afraid of this guy? Honestly that idea was kinda embarassing now. The Amazing Witch Doctor sighed, flicking a blonde lock that had fallen into his face back into place.

"Ya' know..." Azga began, his golden voice rather melodious and thoughtful, "You really are quite distasteful, aren't you? Honestly, for a minute there, you had me going..." He chuckled softly, pulling one hand away push up his glasses with a smirk. "Sorry, but I can't be bothered to go down to such an unfashionable creature like you."

He opened his golden eyes, which glinted up at the monstrous opponent and brimmed with confidence. It would seem that the Arm's Slave speech, which probably had the intention to put more fear into Azga, had had the opposite effect.

"For someone like you, words like 'garish' and, well, 'ugly' seem to fit the bill. You simply can't stand up to someone with descriptive words like myself..~" Azga lowered his head, a shadow coming over his eyes as he began to grin. He lowered his hand, and as he did, a golden aura surrounded the arms slave. He had decided to enter the fight... and a sparkle of mischief lit up his eyes as he looked back up at the monstrous fiend in front of him.

"The proper words to describe yours truly are... Specific!"

At the word, Azga dropped into a rather fashionable, male-model type pose looking over his shoulder. With the pose, one of the Arm's Slaves Limbs should have become paralyzed.

"Intelligent! Accurate! Faultless!"

With each new word came a new pose and even more paralyzed limbs. Then Azga dropped into a pose where he lay strewn across the ground with his lips pursed and a book half covering his face, his voice long and languid with the next word;

"Elegant~"

And then he dropped back into his other poses, the lengthy spell rather near completion.

"Controlled! Surgical! Graceful! And..."

As the Arm's slave would be completely paralyzed (for the next 3 minutes), the golden aura broke around him and Azga opened his eyes wide to pose in front of the monstrous player, raising his voice to echo all throughout the guild hall and beyond.

"POWERFUL...!!!"

He stayed like that, sparkles dancing around the Witch Doctor's body. He wouldn't mind if the other two present knew what his speech was a direct reference to. Ah, but then, he nearly forgot the last bit. He looked at Midnight Soloist, holding the pose. This was the power of his 'Fashionably Late' spell.

"Solo, darling, if you wouldn't mind---to smash...?" He gestured with a nod of his head to the frozen beast behind him.

Hyde drifted through the streets, unsure of what to do. He didn't know whether to go left or right, forward or back. It was a never-ending maze for him. Hyde didn't know whether or not the inhabitants of this city we're friendly or just as terrifying as the Black King. Come to think of it, he'd never actually seen the Black King. Hyde had no idea whether or not he was even male or female. He didn't know if he just lay around in his palace (he did have a palace, right?) or actually went out on quests. Regardless, he didn't really want to encounter the King or his subordinates at any given time during his adventure.

Although, he probably will have to find the King in the near future if he was to progress with his quest. And that's what he did. Hyde went out in search of the King, or members of the Black Guild to question them about the King's whereabouts. He didn't know how they'd react. Perhaps he'd be challenged to combat, or perhaps they might not be as bad as they are made out to be, and might actually take him straight to the King. But he doubted it very much. However, Hyde begrudgingly a couple members of the guild. Or at least they looked like members. They fit the criteria of mean looking and violence prone. He clutched the handle of his Morningstar as he spoke.

"Hey, fellas," he enquired sheepishly. "Where can I find the King?"

Wow, that was loud. And overwhelming. Very overwhelming. Like…

“Wow.”

How was she even supposed to react to this? While the strawberry blonde Avatar was originally planning to step in and do something like beat up the Outlaw that was beating up her friend, she wasn’t exactly sure what she should do now. After all, it was looking less and less like a gritty fight between two players and more like a staged battle between two wrestlers, screaming out speeches that established their role as face or heel. They were so serious about it all that she couldn’t even laugh it off as a cringe-worthy joke or whatever else, and after Azga ended off with a sparkling finale, the Midnight Soloist sorta just stood there and smiled her vacant ‘I don’t understand’ smile.

Well, at least Moon Rider’s instructions still made sense: kill all Outlaws.

“Okay then,” Yuuki chirped, walking up to the paralyzed Arms Slave. She was a bit jealous about how he got the same ‘multiple arms’ deal, but could equip weapons on top of that, and decided that it would be best if she removed that first. Unceremoniously pushing him face-first onto the ground, she stepped on his back, two of her Heavy Arms click-clacking around before grabbing his shield-bearing arms and pulling them up towards her, until they couldn’t naturally bend back any farther. Her third Heavy Arm, converted into a Land Demolisher, placed itself against Arm Slave’s spine, cocked and ready. With everything set, the petite girl hopped onto the top of the Land Demolisher, took a selfie and said to herself, “Guess I’ll start by tearing out the roots.”

If Arm Slave’s arms could stretch for another half-meter, the Avatar should be fine, outside of a piledriver to the spine.

If they couldn’t though…then clearly, he should have invested in rubber arms instead of fleshy arms.

Vargus was just wondering when he would encounter someone in this strange city when he saw a streak of silver whizz past him. Taking a closer look just before the figure vanished into a building it seemed to be... no way. It was actually the silver streaker, Vargus thought that guy was just a myth. Vargus had a brief moment to wonder what exactly he was doing here before the guy preformed a suicidal leap off the top of the building in what looked to be some sort of attack. Vargus had a brief moment of debate between leaving the guy to his death and trying to help him. Not for long though, after all he was part of the Ivory Masks, this was supposed to be their job, taking down bosses like this. Time to represent.

Vargus had his flesh golem hurl him into the air, then teleport the golem in front of him, then get thrown again. He repeated this rapidly covering ground until he finally landed on the roof top that the streaker had leapt off. Vargus would have liked to choose another summon for this job since his golem would no doubt be killed in one or two hits and he would suffer the same fate but he felt helping the streaker as soon as possible was more important. This in mind he hurled a Magic Blast at the dissolution, even with the creature's high level the resistance ignoring effect should cause it to deal some sort of damage. Following up the attack his flesh golem leapt off hoping to land on the creature and immediately began attacking with its many mouths. "You're not alone!" He shouted to the Silver Streaker letting him know that he could expect something in the way of support. Not much since Vargus was more of a solo act and had little in the was of party assistance but more damage was better than no damage right?

"Wah, well, I..." Morgan couldn't help but feel a bit aggravated and confused at Rocket Lancer's last retort. Of course she was a girl. Sure, some people did look at her differently on there first meeting, so it wasn't all that out of place. But to follow that up with calling her pretty was another thing. For starters, she could've sworn that the guy was with that mecha girl from before. What right did he have to play nice with Flan, unless something happened between the two. In that case, he wasn't any better than a womanizing pig, using a 13 year old as a rebound girl. Her voice quickly becoming more upset and trailing off at the end. "Look, I said didn't wanna fight you ok? But if you must, I won't hold back just cause you called me pretty."
