The boy stared at the man disbelievingly for a few seconds before deadpanning. "...Stai scherzando, si? Non hai nessun'idea che fai, per certo?" (You're joking, right? You have absolutely no idea what you're doing, do you?)

It was almost enough to make him laugh. If he had any real indication that what he was saying was even being understood, he probably wouldn't have held back at all. Did Vlad seriously tell these people nothing about their unfortunate captives? This was downright ridiculous.

Walking back toward the desk slowly, he picked up a few of the office supplies he could reach without going around behind it. The last thing he needed was to draw attention to the computer if anything was wrong with it. "Due problemi con quella teoria, genio: Non ho neanche un po idea per che sto cercando." Propping the broom against the desk, he turned around with the stapler, a paperweight, and a tape dispenser without the tape. "Il capo è il peggiore con istruzioni. Potrei passare tutto tempo ovunque, non è un ragione valido."

Switching the pattern to juggle all the items on one hand, he reached back to dump the pencil container on the floor next to him and grab the previously removed tape, adding both into the circuit and going back to using both hands again. "Secondo, si avresti fatto un po di recerca, sapresti esattamente perchè mi piace questa stanza."

"Riassunto: Sto un esecutore, scemo." Snapping his hands back to his hips, he let the items drop to the floor as he glared straight at what he deemed to be the result of some incredible idiocy. "One, actor; two, lost. No info! Door stuck! Be useful and fix, scherzo. Have a mission to do!"

Despite how broken what little English he used sounded, he was sure that it was enough to get the excuse across. One way or another, he was going back into that hallway alone, that much he was determined about.

"Yeah, I have noticed " replied Deus as he noticed no difference to the map. They still had some time, so he would wait a bit more for the other's input. While waiting and speaking, he started hacking into the map, trying to find encrypted points of interest. The proccess was slow and painful, as Stewart had apparently caught on what he was doing. Not completely, though, or else he would be on his knees screaming in agony by now. Well, not really, but he wouldn't be hacking now. "But you know how those things work: Cover up the hanging, and noone will know about it. Cover it too much, and when the lever is pulled there might be someone else hanging. "

The guard grabbed Felice. "I don't care foreign boy. You are suppose to be accomplishing a mission. One that doesn't include spending so much time in the drama office. You have one minute to get back to what you are suppose to be doing or I will taze you. Your lucky I'm not dragging you to Vlad. He would not be happy with you not completing your assignment."

Roxy shrugged. "Maybe." She wasn't sure what he was saying exactly. The only thing she really got out of it was that they could use this stuff against Vlad. Which she supposed was true but she doubted it. After all Vlad was like mega smart. This guy might be smart but she doubt he was a smart as the mad scientist that ran this place.

Ezekiel became stuck in the middle of one of the pre-made rebukes to the arguments that he played out in his head, since he assumed the scientist would refuse to help. The man was actually helpful, but the situation was much worse than he thought. More than one library? Worse than that, since he had no idea what field the knowledge he sought belonged to, this just meant he'd have to check all the libraries in the facility.

But how do you ask where all the libraries are without arousing suspicion? Maybe a more general approach...

"Ah, yeah, I can see the problem." He smiled. "But if the libraries are divided into fields, I may need to look into more than one to solve my problem... Say, is there a way to get an annotated map of this place? We weren't given the tour and this is kind of urgent..."

"I promise I'll help at the lab if you help me." He added in a friendly manner.

There were many points of interest marked on the computer. Most were from the scientist. The libraries, gym, and cafeteria were marked several times. Most of the other rooms seemed to hold little to no interest although some were marked. Vlad's marks were different then the others. His were harder to crack. The seemed to appear and disappear. Exacted one in the basement. "Guard is coming if your going to find something you better do it now."

"Only scientist are allowed in the libraries. You will have to have one of them get whatever you need. You experiments aren't allowed to have maps. You are restocked to certain areas. The guards could tell you where though areas are." the scientist explained to him.

Suddenly, Deus stopped typing -but not because he was done with his work. He tried again and again to type, he struggled to get his hands back on the keyboard - to no avail.
Stewart had got him.
"Hey! Shadowgirl! Throw me onto the main drive, then take the keyboard and execute the commands that will pop up! " He said in his desperation. There was only one way this would work now, and he wouldn't like it -and neither would Stewart. He could only hope that the latter would not get too irritated- at least for a while.

"Vaffanculo!" The short boy was quick to push the guard off of him. They just never listened, did they? None of them ever listened! That crazy scientist, the guards, the contacts who had promised him his charge back, that stupid girl who didn't even care enough to even contribute to any sort of planning, and now this bozo who was probably looking for a promotion for doing nothing. None of them even tried! Nobody ever tried in any of these stupid places in this whole stupid country, it seemed! It was more than infuriating, it was maddening! If at least one of them had even made an attempt...

Grabbing the push broom, he bolted out the door before the guard had a chance to try stopping him for something ridiculous again. As he slammed the door on the way out, he hoped that it actually would jam. Maybe then, at least one idiot would think twice before just ignoring him again.

...Even if it had meant to be little more than an excuse to stay out of trouble this time. But hey, how exactly did anyone expect him to do as he was told with all of these busybodies obstructing his progress all the time? Did they expect to be able to do this when they sent him out on actual missions, because that was more likely to get him killed.

This place was more like the Fun House than any kind of real research facility to him.

Trying not to let the frustration shake him any more than it already was, he ran off in search of another room to check. They clearly weren't actually trying to make this like a real mission after all, so he might as well just keep to the obnoxious agenda and figure out ways to game the system on the go.

Maybe nobody else here had any real goals, but he had someone depending on him. He couldn't lose, not now.

Roxy looked at the boy confused. He couldn't be serious could he? "Your not serious are your?" but she knew by looking at him he was. She looked up and down the hall. She only had a minute or so before they were caught. She wasn't the strongest person but she would try. She grabbed the boy and shoved him towards the computer as hard and hope for the best.

Deus landed on the computer in an elegant face-first fashion. Without caring too much about the hit, he grabbed the map and concentrated the best he could. He had to be quick, for he most likely wouldn't be able to do this for long.
He first targeted the points with a fainter signature; they were most likely very important, though he couldn't really tell why they would be encrypted into a guards device. He most likely wouldn't transfer them through completely, but he could triangulate their position later or something. He then saved as many of the others as he could, not caring about what they were, how many he got through, or how many he missed.
Until, suddenly, he stopped. Stewart had completely got him now. "Press the button on the screen and inform me when we get in the guard's field of view " he commanded the girl, calmly and exhausted.

The guard watched him walked down the hall. It was clear the guard thought he Shoukd go to Vlad for not taking the mission seriously but he let Felice walk away for now but he would continue to watch him. One more infraction and the guard would turn the young man in.the hall seemed to be filled with medical rooms. Two said isolation.all f them had top of the line medical

Roxy looked at Deus like he was insane. But since she didn't know what his power was he was just going to have to follow his lead and hope that she didn't get screwed for it. She pressed the button as she checked the guards progress. He was almost to them. Her guess was that they had less then a minute. She was going to be caught at a computer. Just what she needed. She sighed. "You've got about thirty seconds before we get seen."

"Okay," Deus muttered, look; I'm in no condition to walk- or move in any way." He weakly smiled as he pulled the map out of the computer, slowly put it in his shoe, and jolted the computer to return to the state it was when they arrived ; the only one of his powers avalaible to him right now. What he was about to say would surely freak her out. He smiled a bit more on this idea. "So, unless you have a means of transport that can GTFO us out of here before we get spotted, I want you to grab me just as the guard sees us and throw me on the computer again, harder this time."

This was only getting even more ridiculous. Felice didn't even know where he was anymore or what to do with anything here. Guards were still everywhere and he only had the most vague eleven-or-so worded sentence to go off of in a facility with heck-knows-how-many floors hallways, etc. This was a science wing of some kind, completely useless to his line of expertise!

He couldn't talk to anyone, either. That would only get rid of the last advantage he had.

Letting out a final irritable huff, the boy fished around for a pen and a sticky note he had stashed on him from the office and drew a few roughly sketched books. After adding a question mark to the image, he put away the pen and looked around for the nearest guard. Fine, I'll play your game. Just be prepared to play mine after.

Roxy had no idea what GTFO was. But she understood that he didn't want to be spotted. Which meant she had two choices. Either use the shadows or run like hell. Either way it seemed like she was dragging the boy with her. She sighed if she used the shadows again her collar would go off. Which would only guarantee that they both got caught. Which meant they were going to have to run for it. She wrapped the boys arm over her shoulder and headed down the hall.

The guard looked at the picture with a puzzled expression. "Are you looking for the library kid? Your going the wrong way. It's on the other side of the building." He took the paper and pen and drew him a map. Then he handed it back to Felice. "But you lab rats aren't allowed in there. Also that is only the directions to the library on this floor. The ones on the other floors aren't in the same spot."

@KatherinWinter"I kinda had a plan over here, you know! Just to avoid making you drag my ass around " Deus said irritated as he used all his remaining movement margin to our the map he baeeky
barely had time to snatch off the computer. He hated how that girl dragging him on the floor made him look so weak.
He then sighed. He had no reason to be mad. "Whatever, sorry. Thanks for helping. You won't have to do it for long ; Stewart should understand In no longer trying to hack at any moment now. " He could already feel Control returning on his wretched nerves.

The boy said nothing, but this did seem to be getting him somewhere. Taking the paper back with a nod of thanks, he took out another and wrote a few other words to show to the guard.

Chiaroscuro?
Monochrome?
B/W?

He didn't know if they'd mean anything to this person, but it was worth a try. Especially if they weren't even meant to go to the library, as weird as that seemed. That would obviously be an answer the doctor should have expected them to come up with, after all, unless he really did intend to just torture them?

He hoped that wasn't the case. He was already pretty frustrated.

Whatever the situation was now, he did need a lead of some sort if he wanted to do anything else. The library- or libraries, rather, were the first guess, but this new information seemed to bring about more suspicion.

What were they actually doing?

"That doesn't matter. Trust me Vlad isnt going to care if you are still hacking or not. He is going to be pissed that you were hacking. He will punish us once he figures out of what exactly you have done. So I hope that it was worth it." Roxy explained to him. She looked over her shoulder but she didn't see the guard. Which meant they had time. She didn't know where to go so she started to look for the others.

"That's... really?" Ezekiel was losing his cool. This prolonged social encounter was wearing him out, and he had to stop it before it would cause unnecessary suspicion and even more delays. He almost preferred getting "punished" right now - The whole riddle thing was frustrating and confusing. He suddenly realizes this may be a sink-or-float sort of thing, the head honcho giving out a random mission and whoever's lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time wins.

Wait a minute...

"Alright, this still helps. And your next coffee is on me, once I find the cafeteria that is." he smiled wearily at the scientist. "But for now - is there a lab here that focuses on research of heavy metals or natural magnetism?"

He stopped caring about the riddle. He would simply have to become powerful enough to break the fourth wall.

"Sorry kid. I can't help you. I think you best bet is to try the computer lap downstairs. You lap rats should have limited access." The guard suggested. "Vlad doesn't care if you succeed or fail. He wants Ou to work as a team. Get the others and make a plan. Otherwise you'll never accomplish anything here. Remember you all have skills and abilities they can be used as long as no one sees them being used.

Felice somehow doubted that anyone could avoid being seen; there were cameras everywhere. Or so he thought, anyway. If Vlad had been bluffing...

...Ah, there were too many things to worry about. What he wouldn't do to only have to make decisions about simple things like what to eat or which routines he would be performing that night. And whether or not he had time to run errands before meeting up with...

Tucking the map away for future use, he nodded his thanks to the guard. At least he had been a little helpful, which was plenty more than he could say for a lot of the other ones he had met. He had no idea where anyone else could possibly be, though he doubted that they would be all that helpful either based on what he had seen before, but at least the lab was a place to start. With that thought in mind, he started back down the hall toward the closest set of stairs. Maybe he'd find someone already there, anyway. Who knew what he'd do then, but as they said, "live today, tomorrow will work out somehow." Or something like that. He couldn't precisely remember at that exact second.
