Ayameko was born in the Land of Rivers, in a village outside of Tanigakure. She never aspired to become Tanikage, but events would push her down that path.
Her academy days were very uneventful. The Land of Rivers was small and it was easy for Ayameko to get the attention she needed from her teachers. She was far from a prodigy. Ayameko had to spend longer on much of her work, but what set her apart in her academy days was her work ethic and ingenuity. Ayameko's written submissions were always intriguing for her sensei, with the material she was discussing going far beyond her grade level and into heavily researched theory. It was Ayameko's refusal to settle for the expected or simple answer that made her one of the strongest graduates from Tanigakure.
Post academy, at 18, Ayameko pushed herself heavily into medical research, in particular genetics and neuroscience. It was unusual for a fresh out of academy Gennin to be working in that kind of advanced research. However, Ayameko made sure she was a useful part of the team, pushing herself to take on the hardest tasks she could in an effort to learn as much as she could. It would earn her a glowing recommendation for Chuunin and many accolades on her research on genetics and botanicals, in particular the creation of plants that produced certain natural instances of medicines for common diseases.
At 25, when out in the field, Ayameko would fall in love with a young Uchiha, Hatsuko, from the Land of Fire. Their romance was quite legendary and after two years, they married. However, Ayameko refused to leave the Land of Rivers, knowing her people needed her, especially giving the failing health of their current leader. The two would travel back and forth between their lands to see each other twice a month. This continued for the next eight years.
At 33, the bijuu appeared with little fanfare. The swift destruction of the Rain Country caught many offguard. After the Four Tails destroyed almost everything, the remnants of the Rain Country were joined by the forces from many of the other small nations, as well as the Land of Fire and Land of Earth. Together, they took a stand at the border of the Land of Wind and the Land of Rivers. The makeshift army was led by the current leader of the Land of Rivers and being already in poor health, he was quickly slain. The ancient relic of the Land of Rivers, said to have split the Ten Tails long ago, the Totsuka no Tsurugi, now lay on the ground with no wielder. Ayameko, no stranger to taking on the hardest tasks, picked up the weapon.
Quickly, she organized the now disorganized troops with the assistance of Hatsuko, eventually the combined effort of those involved were able to drive the Four Tails back.
Returning to Tanigakure, Ayameko was quickly ushered into the role as Tanikage. At first she refused the position, stating there were others with more combat experience, and better credentials than herself. However, she eventually relented to the people of the Land of Rivers and became their Tanikage. The next three years of her role as Tanikage consisted primarily of tracking down and sealing the remaining bijuu. This fostered a strong relationship with the Land of Fire. After sealing away all but two of the beasts, Ayameko would return to the Land of Fire for a council with the current Hokage, Hokage Shikata Kibō.
Once again, the beasts, along with fate, ushered her into a role she never intended to take. The Nine Tails, having spent much of its time destroying the outlying territories bordering the Land of Fire made a move on Konohagakure during the Council. Hokage Shikata Kibō and Ayameko took up arms against the beast. In the fight, Ayameko's right arm was ripped off, in an effort to prevent her from utilizing the Totsuka no Tsurugi. However, the sword was saved by a wandering monk, an ally from across the seas who had spent the last three years fighting bijuu with Ayameko. The Hokage, however, fared worse than her - losing his life in the battle with the creature. His soul returned to Yggdrasil, the historical selector of the leadership of the Land of Fire. Knowing the necessity of having a leader for the Land of Fire, Yggdrasil reached out to Ayameko in the battle and selected her as the Hokage. Invoking the power of the previous Hokage, Ayameko was able to open up the ground beneath the Nine Tails and suppress the beast long enough to allow the strange monk to deliver a strike to wound the beast enough to drive it back.
After the conflict, Ayameko's selection as Hokage was met with skepticism. Not only was she not a native to the Land of Fire, but she had position as another Kage. Hatsuko argued with the council on her behalf, eventually resulting in him resigning his position in frustration with the stubbornness of the leadership. A week after the destruction of Konoha, Ayameko was called in front of the very council she had come to the Land of Fire to meet - this time to debate the legitimacy of her leadership. After hours of receiving a verbal beating from the elders, Ayameko stood to leave, knowing she could not say anything to change their mind. However, knowing that its selection was being question, Yggdrasil reached out to the entire Land of Fire at once - something entirely unheard of. Blasted with mental images of her feats, and who she was as a person, the council, as well as the people relented.
Despite her advanced healing techniques, she could not recreate a flesh and blood arm for herself, the effects of the Kyuubi's removal of her arm preventing the regrowth needed. Hatsuko, now informed of Ayameko's pregnancy with twins, set out to the Mastersmith of the Land of Fire, Masazane Io. Combining their knowledge, Io and Ayameko were able to create an arm of metal that would respond to her will, much like her real arm would have. Seals at the end of her arm were placed to convert the signals from her nerve endings into understandable commands for the metal arm.
At 36, ten months after the events in the Land of Fire, Ayameko would give birth to twins - one boy, one girl. However, she would be immediately called away to battle another bijuu, hiding in the southeast of the Land of Fire, in territory once owned by the Land of Water. The battle should have been seemingly simple, but Hatsuko would be poisoned by the beast in the battle, a poison unlike anything Ayameko had encountered. Despite her best efforts, Ayameko was unable to create an anti-toxin capable of dealing with the effects of the bijuu's poison, Hatsuko dying within the month. Even worse, her son would be taken as well, both children exposed to the poison through their father. Ayameko, who also suffered, only survived due to her distant heritage as a Senju - giving her a remarkable life force. However, Ayameko was able to synthesize an anti-toxin in the month following Hatsuko's death which allowed her to save her daughter, Touzoku.
Despite all of the Tailed Beasts being driven back, their destruction was not easily recovered from. Many of the smaller nations had populations starving and suffering. Those with malicious intent often took advantage of these struggling lands, which made it even worse. With most on the bring of destruction, the smaller lands requested to join with the larger nations which were still able to support themselves. Ayameko, who would have been content with merely giving aid to these lands, knew that the Council would not provide aid without gaining territory. Ayameko would be forced to take on these new lands as a part of her recovering nation.
The years that followed were as chaotic as could be expected. Most of the nation's had significantly weakened military, making enforcement of anything nearly impossible. Equally difficult was Ayameko's Council, who had returned to opposing her leadership. In a surprise move, Ayameko removed the Council's authority by opening up elections for the Council - which had been historically appointed by the Hokage. Under her guidance, the Council was replaced with representatives from each of the Lands, most of which were their former Kage. This structure worked well for many years, and restoration efforts were able to be enacted with minimal opposition.
However, it could be argued the recovery was too successful. Seeing many of their old, native lands returning to prosperity, there was a call from some of the people for a return to independence. In an effort to unite the people, Ayameko remade her nation as Kyokujitsu no Tochi, making the Land of Fire merely a territory within it. Under this, a new government would be born and each territory would have equal chance of being having a leader selected. Each would present candidates to Yggdrasil when it came time to select the new Sankage. Ayameko moved the capital north, keeping Konohagakure as a city for the Land of Fire, as well as a memorial for what was lost. The new capital would become Kyokujitsugakure and would be considered independent from the territories, despite being in the confines of the Land of Fire.
Despite her efforts, the revolts were a potential catalyst for the First Shinobi War. The formal shinobi villages had just started to take shape and territory needed to be carved out formally - with force in some instances. The revolt within her own newborn nation had bled into pockets within the territory of other nations. Wars of independence waged at the same time as wars between the larger lands to define the borders of their lands. Ayameko had remained successful at avoiding conflict in many situations, resulting in her title of Gaikōkan (Diplomat). She managed to expand her nation to include Rivers, Iron, Rice, Hot Spring, and Tea.
In her 60s, Ayameko would fall in love again, to a Hyuuga man. They would marry, but his health would fail a decade later.
Ayameko continues in her role as Sankage.

Ayameko's abilities are the product of hard work and dedication. She is an extremely skilled medical shinobi and boasts strong control over her chakra. While far from a prodigy, she is quite intelligent and has a incredible understanding of human behavior and genetics, two widely different subjects. She is also quite skilled with the sword.
Ayameko uses a taijutsu style reminiscent of the Hyuuga clan.

Weapons, Tools Summons, and Equipment】
Name of Weapon or Item: Shokuyari [Planting Spear]
Description: Reforged from the shattered Totsuka no Tsrugi and the Makimasu, two blades of reputation. The power of the Shokuyari is the ability to affect being such as the bijuu, even when within the vessel of another individual. At full power, the spear can project an image into a vessel and remove the bijuu from it without killing them. The second effect is from the Makimasu, which allows Ayameko to sow her special seeds into objects she has cut or stabbed. It should be additionally noted the two crescent blades on the side of the spear can be detached and controlled with chakra.
Appearance: An ornate spear of great beauty. A variant of a bishamon yari, the Shokuyari has two crescent blades attached to the sides of the main double blade. These are unique in themselves in that part of the crescent is much thicker. When detached, these form a yin-yang symbol. While the metal from both blades was mixed, as well as their properties, a single circle in each crescent was preserved with the symbol for the original weapons on it. The shaft is made of a branch of Yggdrasil, polished white and is exceptionally durable.
Name of Weapon or Item: Specialized Seeds
Appearance and Effects: Ayameko's seeds can be placed into an individual, depending on the seed (trees cannot be placed in individuals), that will feed of their chakra while still following Ayameko's direction. Many of these plants grow within the confines of Kyokujitsugakure. Just outside the walls of the capital another ring of these plants can be found with the vines climbing the full height of the walls.
- Generic vining seed that is covered with thorns and leaves.
- A tree seed that constantly sprays Kirigakure no Jutsu in the area around it.
- A vining flower that releases a chemical that causes the eyes to water.
- A vining flower that can bond with other plants or areas under the effect of techniques to continue to supply them with energy by converting light into chakra. This chakra disperses if the flowers are destroyed and is forever lost. It cannot be pulled from the plant and used by any individual.
- A flower that can release a bright pulse of light akin to a flash tag towards the area it is pointing. This cannot be done up to 3 times per flower before it must bloom again, which requires additional chakra or at least 5 days time.
- White birch trees that provide a gate to Pure World for a specific person that has bonded with that tree. This allows the person to return upon activation of a the appropriate technique that creates a being under the effects of the IWR. The reincarnated individual can only operate within 50 feet of the tree. (Cannot Combine)
- A flowering plant that seals foreign chakra inside of itself and consumes what energy it can, either absorbed, or from the area around it or another individual, to duplicate itself until destroyed or forced to stop.
- Vining plant that, once embedded into to the flesh of an enemy produces a constant Genjutsu of their own chakra. Can be removed before it takes full effect, or by others once fully formed. Seed must be placed within the victim. The Genjutsu is a highly advanced technique that continues to play out the battle they were in within their own mind. This seed actively seeks out to bind itself with the nervous system of the individual, especially loves engaging directly into the brain. (Cannot Combine)
- Water lily that has the effects of the Byakugan that assigned individuals can tap into. (Cannot Combine)
- A special flower that when used mimics the traits of an individual it has made contact with (or part of them). This plant will react to the chakra signature of that person and glow faintly when they are within 5 miles of it.
- A flower that produces a neurotoxin. The stem has many thorns that secrete the toxin in addition to the potential of inhaling it when too close to the flower or when a large number of them are in a group together. A single scratch from a thorn or a single breath from a single flower will cause complete paralysis in about 5 minutes. Continued exposure to the toxin will obviously lower this requirement.
Name of Summon: Yggdrasil
Description: Yggdrasil is sentient tree of significant power. Yggdrasil is perpetually in a state of Sage Mode, giving it access to vast sums of power and utilize a number of its own abilities. Yggdrasil has a naturally purifying effect to energies it absorbs and it is considered to have a boundless ability to store energy within its body (it merely grows to accommodate more energy). Using either energy it has gathered or stored, Yggdrasil can project a massive barrier around a wide area around it in an instant. Additionally, as a countermeasure, Yggdrasil can disrupt the formation of jutsu within its field of control by infusing an individual or technique with natural energy. Yggdrasil's sensory capabilities are profound enough that it can sense the intent of those near it and actively negates many offensive techniques within its bounds. The exclusion being those with a special tag system. Yggdrasil has the ability, as well, to filter light to allow it to pass unhindered to the ground below it.
Yggdrasil forms a specialized bond with a singular individual who runs the village of Kyokujitsu no Tochi. The user is granted the ability to use Mokuton as well as maintain their link to the tree across infinite distances (even if they cannot access its power from that range). When a bonded individual dies, their spirit is retained within the tree itself (which partially spans into the Pure World), allowing former Kage to communicate with the current one (providing unique circumstances preventing this). The ability to store a spirit or form is not limited to bonded individuals either.
Yggdrasil can communicate with individuals, primarily through images. A select few are capable of understanding it on a deeper level. Those individuals also can utilize Yggdrasil's energy to support their own techniques once enhancing that link.
Appearance: A large tree over 1500 feet tall with massive boughs that can cover the entire village.
Weaknesses: Unlike most summons, Yggdrasil is incapable of moving. Despite its immense power, it has no offensive capabilities of its own and is disrupting to allies forming offensive techniques within its bounds (excluding those with specialized tags). Most of the power Yggdrasil can use is limited in range to upwards of 10 miles outside its bounds.

Description: Takama no Hara is a highly advanced Doton technique. The technique allows the user to raise a portion of the earth, as well as shape parts of it, and essentially levitate it. The movement of the earth raised by this is very slow, especially if it is of a large size. It is entirely possible to raise entire islands with this technique with enough time and chakra, but the drain on a single person would be incredibly immense.
Weakness: Significant chakra cost for large pieces of earth.

Description: Shizen muchitsujo no hakai: Seimei to sono yōso no haichi is an advanced sealing technique of Ayameko known only to her. Essentially the effect of the technique is to create fuuinjutsu effects through the arrangement of earth, water, and plants, which is knowledge known only to the sealer. This creates a physical seal that is not only able to blend in with natural environments, but creates a difficult to diffuse seal due to the natural properties of the seal. Additionally, the seals tend to gain power the longer the exist, seeming to draw on natural energies to sustain and strengthen themselves. Furthermore, many of the seals are malleable in their form, but not in effect, also making them challenging to counter.
Weakness: The initial creation of a seal created through this technique can be exhausting depending on how it is implemented. Creating a large seal over a large area from a single location is exhausting. However, using a seal over a smaller area is only a decent drain on chakra. For large scale seals, Ayameko, or people Ayameko trusts, are dispatched to help set up the seal via scrolls, making it much more cost effective.

Description: A blow landed with the Tojikomemasu will pull all of the victim’s chakra to the point of the seal. It will take about one minute for the victim’s chakra to be pulled in. Description: An extremely advanced application of the Mystical Palm developed over the years of research by Ayameko and Shiō, essentially allowing a well-trained medical shinobi the ability to create stem cells in varying quantities. An example application would be a severely damaged eye, allowing the cells to replace the damaged portion, restoring full sight. However, in the case of the eye, some portion of either eye would have to be intact, or a partial transplant received in order to regrow a patient's eye. In technical theory, it is possible for this technique to be utilize to regrow an organ or body part without a base sample, but would require laboratory testing and genetic sampling to ensure the organ is created properly - things that are impractical in combat triage situations. This technique can be applied to the regrowth of limbs or other such appendages as well, but require an even greater amount of time to be fully functional.
Weakness: Requires not only massive chakra from the medic-nin, but also constant chakra to sustain the cells as they transition to their new roll. In the cases of large cell creations, it can be weeks before a body part is considered fully functional.

Description: Once contact is made, a burst of chakra will be inserted into the body. This will damage the nerve path ways along the strike's point. For example, if someone was struck with a Shinkeishi kick or punch, the point of striking will damage the nerves. One strike will make it harder for that part of the body to move for a bit (15 seconds or so), but if contact lasts for more than a ‘moment’, then the nerves can face more serious damage that would require a healer to be seen. Additionally, this is often used for medical procedures to numb pain.

Description: It is a simple, yet highly dangerous technique that can even be applied to basic shinobi tools (tools naturally designed to contain chakra are more potent). Essentially, the technique prevents blood from coagulating along the lines of any stab or cut an opponent receives from the enhanced without finding aid of a medical shinobi. The technique also can work in reverse at short contact range, coagulating a wound within seconds. At increased chakra cost to both techniques, this can also be applied to chakra scalpels.
Weakness: Short range for more common uses can make it difficult to utilize. Circulation can be cut off at the higher parts of the wound, should it be lower on an appendage to prevent too rapid of bloodloss from the technique.

Description: Despite the simplicity of the technique, it is one of Ayameko's most powerful. Upon initiation of the technique, Ayameko is able to place seeds at will in any area she had made contact with. Placing seeds reduces significant chakra cost in comparison to achieve similar effects to other Mokuton techniques in addition to allowing specialized seeds to be placed. When in her Sage Mode, this technique becomes further empowered allowing Ayameko to place seeds through significant (solid blow from a vine, drawing blood, prolonged contact, etc) contact with her other plants.

Description: By invoking her connection with Yggdrasil, Ayameko enters a state of heightened prowess. This is strongest when she is within 12 miles of Yggdrasil in which she can invoke the full form of this technique, which allows her to tap directly into the stores of energy within Yggdrasil. If she is outside that range, she cannot do that. This allows her to preform feats that even larger groups of Shinobi would struggle to do. In the regular form, this technique merely enhances her normal techniques and skills by incorporating natural energy.
Weakness: When used away from Yggdrasil, the technique is limited to 5 minutes. When near Yggdrasil this restriction is lifted.

Description: By pouring chakra into her plants, Ayameko forces them to produce seeds of the type of plants which can then be dispersed through the area. The number of seeds depends on the chakra supplied and the type of plant (the tree connecting to the Pure World is highly intensive). Only one can be planted (Pure World Tree) and the growth of these cannot be accelerated unlike the original seed.

Description: Ayameko's 'ultimate' technique. This technique can only be used in her true sage form. This technique blooms the three seeds Ayameko has in her right arm. These specialized flowers have the power of the tree that is capable of resurrection from the Pure World. These flowers correspond to three people in particular, her two husbands and the child she lost (he is brought back in his 20s based off of Touzoku).

Description: This technique is more of a product of training than an actual named technique. Description: Ayameko shapes the roots of a plant into a seal. Those that step on the ground above this seal, or make contact with the tree, can trigger the seal if appropriate.
Weakness: Requires a fair amount of time to shape large, more intricate seals, as well as requiring larger plants. For smaller plants, typically only something along the lines of an explosive tag could be made.

Description: Infusing her chakra into natural plants such as grass or wheat, Ayameko creates a plant that will immediately harden the moment an enemy is about to step on it, impaling their foot. Alternatively, Ayameko can provide extra chakra to have them fire as projectiles upwards. The area Ayameko can affect is dependent on the amount of chakra she provides and proximity to Yggdrasil and usage of Sage Mode.
Weakness: Requires grass. When used on grass, has the scent of fresh cut grass when used as a projectile.

Description: Calls forth a cherry tree much like Nativity of Trees. Immediately the petals of this tree fall off and seek out allies, to which they stick to. By using the petals as a conduit, Ayameko can use Mystic Palm or medical techniques on a person at great range.
Weakness: Petals can be removed. Still costs chakra for the other techniques on a per usage basis.
