Trinity Stratos

It wasn't long before the young minstrel stopped, sighing, relenting, and stroking Karn's head tenderly. "Ohh, sweety... I'm sorry." She gave another, more frustrated sigh and leaned her head back. She'd gotten ahead of herself, and let herself risk hurting him worse. But, maybe she could buy them a little time, instead? No, she's probably be better off spending her strength finding him a cure or... something. Someone else was already giving him strength through magic. She had no idea how her own magic strength would measure up, if it even would. "Dammit. He's right here and I can't do anything for him..."

An idea dawned on her, then, but Jamie wouldn't approve, and Trinity felt like Penny would probably know enough to know that. But, if she was going to get any sort of approval for going into the city, she'd need an escort. Vivian, you slimy old woman. Tactical social maneuvering, as she might dub it. "We're not going to find any answers here. We should look in the city. I have no idea where to start... bars? Probably better to ask around at the other guilds, actually." The minstrel remembered that Nero had mentioned something about visiting other guilds like Dragon's Fang before, so maybe that was something he did often. And it was a great place to search for clues about Karn's illness anyway.

Karn

The draconic feline calmed as he felt warm hands stroking him, his paws reaching out before wrapping them around one of Penny's fingers and cutely mouthing it, like a cat demanding attention. Deep purring emitted know as he felt both Penny and Trinity letting him. His ears twitching gingerly as he could hear their voices. Emerald orbs blinking open a little bit before giving a yawn.

Prince

The tall feline blinked a little at the reaction from the blue haired boy, or rather lack of reaction compared to other times. The boy still blushed, but it didn't seem Michael was reduced to a stumbling mess this time. Not a bad thing, just made Prince a little curious on what caused the change.

At the greeting and question, Prince hummed innocently. "Hello to you too! I've been around ya know. Doing what cats do." he said with a grin before wrapping his arms around Michael and cuddled him. "But what about you? What's this what's this not so shy anymore? Did my Mikey grow up a little?" he teased.

penny let karn wrap his paws around ber fingers, watching him. Oh, she definetely wasn't going to let him die only knowing suffering. She gave a soft sigh, and looked to Trinity, thoughtful. "I don't think we are going to find the answer in a bar, but we can look I suppose, maybe find the Master" penny desperately wanted to do that, to hand everything kver to master jamie and just follow orders, but with this she knew she couldn't.

She rose again, petting karn one last time. Wanting comfort, even if she didn't want to admit that to herself. "alright, I'll go see what I can find" she saod, figuring that Trinity couldn't really trot around with Karn in her arms.

so she began to search, looking for Damian or Master Jamie. It was easy to folllw their trail. Right to a bar. Penny blinked, frowning, and glancing in, sure tneir must be a mistake, until she saw Damian. Mitnera was missing still, and they were drinking?

"whats going on?" she asked as she walked over

[@zakrun]

michael

What a simole comfort, a hug. Michael turned into it without thinking, not answering yet, not knowing what to say, and eventually he sighed, "its just been a real crappy day, and I cant embarrsess myself more then I have today already, so...whats the point of being shy then?" he said, giving a shrug, but really ne was just tired.

He bit nis lip, unsure kf ne wanted to say any morem a d ne squirmed slightly. "I missed Zephyrs fight, and have no idea what you mean by cat stuff, and basically called my brother immature and stupid. I'm a terrible friend" he said, the words just spilling out

Eve - Crocus Streets

Eve was glad that Nero agreed to her idea, the main event of Crocus seemed just a bit too much for the group for now, especially for Ayame. Relaxing should do some good to the body and mind, something that dark mages should have once in awhile. The Necromancer looked back to the girl, it seemed that she was as stiff as a corpse, but it soon appeared that she was still alive as Ayame swung her towards Nero. Eve quickly took a step back at the sudden movement, she seemed a bit worried at the phrase that Ayame had muttered, but it looked like the life had come back to her eyes as she recognized the two.

The Necromancer was soon confronted with pen and paper, was she asking for her autograph? Eve's mind soon clicked in place from the action, she just remembered that her voice had been just restored, and Ayame had no idea that it had been fixed. Eve smiled at the gesture, she was just about to take the card to accept her offer, but it seemed that Ayame had also caught onto the idea at hand. Eve bent down, picking up the card and putting it in the pocket, she was kind to offer her a way to talk with people, and the Necromancer was going to keep that memory. When she looked up, Ayame had red cheeks, oh? When did that happen? The Dark Mage patted Ayame's head, giving her a smile and watched her take her place back by Nero's side.

"Ok. So, relaxing... Relaxing place. Urm, I don't really know any places in this city. Uh, this place have some sort of cafe? We can just order some sweets and sit around. You guys ok with that?"

Magni - Crocus Forest

Magni felt strange, even though this place was empty and quite peaceful, the Antimage still felt uneasy about something. He just couldn't put his finger on it, but it was getting stronger by the minute. He looked around once more, scanning the area, it seemed to be empty, but Magni could feel another presence. He quickly put on his mask, the mask seemed to almost magnetically latch onto his face. Once again, his armor started to glow in the azure blue, searching for anything in the vicinity. Still, there was nothing in his sights... Strange. The Antimage was just about to stop looking, before his eyes caught the stirring of a nearby bush... Huh? Magni peered closer towards the bush, his magic working even harder... Wait a minute. It was clear! The color he was seeing was clear! Transparent! The aura it was exerting was so low, and the color was non-existent... That could only mean one thing. "Get out! Get out now!"

There was only silence, Magni could clearly identify the user, and he raised his hand, lighting shimmering off his armor. "I know you are there! Get out before I shock you!" Silence once again... Magni fired his lightning, the bolt of charged electricity exploding a nearby tree of the invisible figure.

"Ack! Ok! Ok! I'm coming out!" The mysterious figure soon became visible, Magni wasn't surprised on his appearance. He was smaller, and lankier than himself, but his attire seemed to be familiar to the style that Magni donned on himself. "Geez... They said you were good at your job, but I didn't think you'd be that good!"

"Shut up," Magni spoke, "Are there any others?"

"Nah, just me," The stranger said, "You know, we should just address the elephant in the room."

"I'm not going, I thought I made that clear."

"Yeah, yeah you did. They won't accept it though, so... Just come with me, and we can sort this out with the others... You know, like a family."

"No. Never, go back and leave me."

"Ugh... This is just getting tiring. Guess we have to go with plan B."

"We?"

"Sorry, I lied."

Magni suddenly felt another presence, an overwhelming force of a powerful sunburnt orange. The Antimage soon blinked away from his position, the place where he had been standing was now a crater by the hands of a gigantic man. Magni plucked his weapons from the ground, soon after, whistling noises in the air soon darted towards him. He swung his weapon to the right, knives slid off warglaive into the air, and Magni soon blinked once again, dodging another pounding into the ground. He couldn't face two strong opponents at the same time, Magni soon suddenly blinked away from the two, out of the clearing.

"Are you serious! You couldn't even get him! I shrouded you! How did you not get him!"

"Sorry," The second stranger boomed.

"Whatever, just catch him before he can make it to his guild. Things could get messy."

It didn't take long until Magni had reached the Frenzy Plant Camp Site, he meant to run further away from the camp, but it seemed that staying close had saved him. He was just about to call for help, until another knife flew out of the forest, Magni sliced the metal in half before another projectile was hurled towards the Antimage. It was a tree, they just threw a tree at him. Magni dived out of the way, the wood slamming hard onto the ground causing the ground to shake just a bit. "Help!" Magni roared out, hoping that someone decided to stay in the camp for whatever reason.

Trinity Stratos

Trinity smiled softly at Karn, patting his head and scratching lightly under his chin, behind his ear. She looked around before standing and putting Karn against her shoulder, speaking softly to him as she moved away, somewhere she could talk to him away from a big crowd. It wouldn't do to make this into a big scene. As she walks, she speaks to him, sweetly, "aren't you just the most precious thing. A precious little ball of fluff. But more than that, too, y'know? You're really sweet and you shower love on your friends. But, Karn, you should rely more on us, too." By now, she's secluded herself from the crowd, tucking herself into a corner and putting up a close-fit bubble shield. "Why didn't you tell us? If it's these guys, they'll find a way. I'm sure of it."

"I suppose I can count myself among them, then, because I think I have an idea. A friend of mine owes me a wish, and I want to see if he'll change it. His magic is a little hard to predict, but its result is reliable. Just not the... byproduct." She smiles softly, patting Karn's head. "... Prince said you don't have long. Wanna try it out? Maybe it'll cure you. Maybe it won't... Gamble a few days, get your whole life? You might even just break even. Please? Karn? Don't give up on life, please..."

Argus Leandros

Argus looked to see the feline woman walk up to him, taking note of her odd way of talking with a slightly curious expression. He looked genuinely confused when she spoke of these 'fur fetisheist', cocking his head to the side as he tried to think of what that could mean, nay to come up with nothing. Despite his perverted nature, Argus had little to no knowledge about any of the complexities of sex and the varieties of ways people have decided to satisfy their appetite for it.

"Thanks for the heads up, and no problem, I've never seen anything like you before, though that's not surprising in all honesty. I had a very . . . isolated childhood," Argus chuckled slightly, his nerves having cooled ever so slightly as he talked to the members of his guild. The more he talked with them, the more foolish he felt for being so quick to judge people before. "But never mind that, since you're here, do you mind i I ask you a couple of questions?"

"Why do you talk with that strange lilt to it? And what are these . . . 'fetishist's' you were speaking off, and why don't you want to talk to them?"

Damian Gerard|Pub outside the Arena

Damian had been about to stand and leave the pub to go find Master Jamie when he heard Penny from behind him and he sighed. That would be my luck. Turning, he looks around to make sure no one thought the two wizards were about to come to blows before sitting back down and beckoning to the other seat for Penny. "Master Jamie insisted on going and dealing with finding Mithera on her own, so I stayed here. Nothing out of the ordinary."

Jack Goran|Dragon Fang Seating

Jack nodded thoughtfully. "I suppose that's true, but even children have a breaking point. Sorry, just curious is all. Sometimes I get that way, overly thoughtful."

Lucus laughed at Rose's comment.
"No, I don't think that. But people get cravings sometimes. Not just pregnant women." He said before thinking."Whatever it is, it'll have to be simple and family friendly. So any old restaurant will do... Elyse, do you like burgers and hot dogs?"

"Hot Dogs!" Elyse shouted happily"Want hot dogs!"

Chuckling to himself Lucus went around asking a few locals for spots to eat that would be good for a family. After a few conversations, he led Rose to a recommended eatery that served several kinds of food and had a kids menu for children. One of the dishes on it would be Elyse's favorite of mac and cheese with hot dog slices mixed in.

Joshua could only laugh at Amaya's dilemma, though he also felt a bit sad for her. Having to conflicting interests was annoying and choosing which one to go with was a total hassle. Getting up, he moved over to her side of the table and sat next to her.
"Hey now, don't get so down about this. You should smile." He said before he began tickling her.

Zephyr Hardt

Zephyr would shrug at Zev's curiosity, he had no way of knowing what a god slayer thought about. In fact he was probably the worlds first God takeover user. Yet he had an understanding of gods. They were strong beings and the fact that Zephyr could only handle one percent of their power showed how immensely stronger they were compared to humans. "Well..... maybe its the same way for dragon slayers? Maybe a god adopted a little child and taught him the ways of god slaying. Its a theory at least. I can't say much on god slaying though, I can only say I took one over, although I don't know his true motive yet."

Lucas Ryder

Lucas wandered around the arena, the roar and power that admitted from the inside was too great. It almost called to him and yet warded him away. Lucas pulled his new cloak over his face along with his new mask and proceeded to use his magic blast as a rocket jump, leaving behind a deafening BOOM, maybe even heard to some in the arena, and a cloud of smoke where he once stood. He gracefully landed upon the edge of the arena roof, so he was staring down upon the fighters. Lucas was amazed at the power he could now feel, his sense of power was stronger upon his training, he could almost feel every mage in their, it was almost suffocating and exciting at the same time, it brought a smile from ear to ear, behind his new mask.

Grant Vale -- Crocus Streets
Grant would have started tracking Mithera and the others by simply asking if they had seen her. Most people didn't think twice about why Grant was asking for her and simply pointed out where they had seen her last. Anything remotely like a dragon wasn't exactly forgettable, was it? He had managed to follow along a few streets they had gone down, never actually seeing them, before almost no one in the crowd had seen where they had gone. Eventually, no one at all had seen them.

Grant finally decided that it was likely that the group had just taken a long route back to Phoenix Wing to throw of pursuers as well as return Mithera to her rightful place, and Grant was starting off in that direction when he barely brushed against an individual he had barely noticed. He was about to dismiss the thought when he realized he couldn't remember anything about what the man had looked like, and he turned back around. He couldn't pick out which one was the man in question, and so he started off back in the direction he had just come from, looking for the person he couldn't remember anything about. They were clearly using magic to mask themselves, and if they weren't one of the ones Grant was looking for then he wanted to at least know who they were and how they did what they did.

It took a good five minutes, and he had been about to give up, when Grant finally spotted him again, entering a women's clothing store. That was, odd, to say the least, but Grant was proud that he had managed to catch a glimpse of the man, and he quickly found a spot near-ish to the door where he could watch it without being particularly peculiar. When the Man came out, whomever they were, Grant would be ready to grab them and find out who the heck they were, as well as how to hide himself like they did if they weren't anyone he should be worried about. A number of people noticed him since he was a contender in the games, but didn't bother him.

Hyun – Frenzy Camp

@Invisible Man

Just as one might expect, the swordswoman Hyun was in the middle of a conversation with Mercury, her weapons bundled up and set aside, when an outcry for help reached her. Immediately, both soldiers scrambled to alert. Hyun grabbed a single katana, pulling the entire kit from the ground and flinging the scabbard away with a single sweeping motion, while Mercury grabbed his kamas from the weapon rack. In an emergency, the blade skills they'd spent some time training no longer mattered, for their best weapons were called for in the defense of a comrade. To be certain, they'd never heard Magni yell for help before, but neither paid that fact any special thought as they rushed to aid their ally.

By the time Magni reached the tents, Hyun and Mercury were waiting for him. Though the swordswoman stayed silent, scanning the treeline for incoming threats, Mercury took the opportunity to address Magni for the first time ever. ”Leadin' some kinda enemy t'our base, are you? Well, don't beat yerself up over it. We'll cut 'em down to size, no problem.” He bared his teeth in a savage visage of eagerness and waited for the foe to appear.

Indigo Afina – Crocus Streets

@liferusher

For a moment, Indigo paused. Something said by Isla, or perhaps an aspect of her tone, resounded with her. It took several seconds for the Librarian to regain her composure, looking down the street at the facades of buildings and the wealth of humanity meandering through the street. Sometimes, the affirmation that hers was a world of magic came hard, especially in places like this. The arcane arts seemed distant when the culture, behavior, and overall impact of her surroundings stood so definitively normal. Indigo thought about Isla, at how her mischievousness, confidence, and avarice melted into helplessness and pity the moment fate seemed apt to deal her a bad hand. With no small amount of sorrow did the Librarian think how perfect it is she performs evil and then thinks herself to be the victim. Long ago, humans decided that they'd rather decide good and evil for themselves, and even now do they remain ignorant.

She turned her head slightly so that Isla could hear her. ”To you, I am exactly that kind of person. Karma is an absolute law. How many lives have you ruined today? And to think I took only your leg.”

Then, the woman left, feeling that she'd just made a very significant choice. Isla had trapped countless people in her portraits, after all, alone for perhaps an eternity. She deserved far worse for what she did...right?

Ni Rensa – Frenzy Plant Stands

@Raijinslayer

An earnest, fang-toothed grin greeted the question of Argus. ”Let 'em rip! Questions are like my coffee. They get the enyergy flowinya!” She crossed her arms beneath her chest, folding her black claws carefully to keep from nicking herself. At the same time, she sat down, gesturing for the demon to do the same.

Her expression changed to a mixture of mock horror and suppressed amusement when Ni Rensa heard her new friend's first two questions. ”Pfffff” she snorted. ”I guess my accent's just a thing all War Sphinxes have. I wouldn't really knyow but it's the best guess I've got. As for those...people nya mentioned, they've got this creepy obsession for people that look like anyimals. Some of them, uh, 'want me', to put it plainly, and some just don't knyow how creepy it is to see something they think is cute and thenya try and cuddle it in public. Just...weird. I'm sure you don't have any of the same problems, heh!” Ni raised one of her hands to rest her chin in. Unlike catlike humans, she did not have paws, but rather rough, bestial hands with tufts of rigid pycnofibers instead of fur. Claw and finger were indistinguishable, and the whole ordeal was black, as Ni had dipper her arm in a bucket of oil.

With Ayame recovered, or at any rate fit enough for travel, the trio of dark mages strode off down a seemly side street with sights set on some sort of shop suited for a sublime siesta. Nero, taking the initiative, led his friends eagerly, if blindly, through a more cloistered part of Crocus. Here, no magic-mobiles or arcanocycles could hope to navigate; so close were the buildings, so tightly-packed like peas crammed in a pod, that only foot traffic sufficed. This particular portion of Crocus featured a cultural anomaly not present among most of the main motorways, one full of festive colors, banners, and lamps, with various chimes and trinkets hanging from every eave. After rejecting a few places for one reason or another, the triumvirate emerged from this vibrant district onto a main walkway and discovered a little ice cream parlor right on the corner. ”Ice cream, eh? It's not coffee, but way cooler in my opinion. A n-ice way to chill out, doncha think?” Nero chortled as he released a rapid-fire string of puns. ”C'mon, don't give me the cold shoulder, guys. This work for ya?”

Unbeknownst to the Genie, the energy bubble containing Trinity and Karn happened to be nearby, just across the road in fact.

The man look back and forth between the guild masters. He grunted. "A full scale investigation will be underway." He said, still a little too loud for comfort. "Untill it is finished no one but the badly wounded leave this hotel." He stalked away and started giving orders to his subordinates. One of them, a slightly hansome blond haired and blue eyed man walked over to the pair. As he approached, he smiled apologetically. "Sorry about ol' Beet there. He hasn't been in the best of moods lately whith all the guilds here. To quote him 'These guilds are nothing but trouble. Everywhere they go they cause mayhem and massive piles of paperwork.'" He did a good imitation of the man's blustery tone, then chuckled, the sound full of merryment. He pulled out a pencil and pad, his expression serious. "Now, my name is Sergent Hawkins, and Captain Beetroot wants me to get your statments, so if I could have a private word with one of you at a time?" He said, formaly, making it into a question.

"except for the fact that you expected to be involved." Penny said, having resigned needed to being mother hen whenever Master Jamie was busy. It was just what you did. "the master always has a reason for doing things, and frankly, there is no point in questioning them." she gave a shrug, there was indeed no point arguing sometimes, and Penny actually agreed with Jamie on him going alone. There'd been too many close calls lately, with Trinity and mithera both being kidnapped, with the magic council and Edolas, with Riders Blade-and Penny was still suspicious of them, and then there was the whole ship nearly falling out the sky. And whatever else was happening.

"the master wouldn't go alone unless she knew she could handle it, and maybe Master Jamie just wants to give you a break. You got Trinity back, you are in the games and it's not like it's been an easy few months training. You've not invincible." Penny's thoughts flashed to Karn, and she sighed.

"I think there's more going on here then anyone is aware off, and in any case, what if, and I know it's big if, iron enigma doesn't have her? It's better if master Jamie goes off alone, that way it can't be thought of as invading or whatever"

Magni - Frenzy Plant Camp

These soldiers were quick on their feet, Magni didn't expect help to arrive so quickly as two members had instantaneously appeared before the Antimage. The two seemed capable of fighting his attackers as he scanned his allies, Magni was banking on Hyun to turn the fight in their favor, and the Antimage had no idea what Mercury was capable of doing inside of a fight. Magni started to speak to the two, his eyes scanning the treeline as he started to speak out key words of the enemy. "Keep quiet. One invisible, other is big." The Antimage needed to stay focused, he knew how these people fought, and they would take any chance to get one cut onto their enemy. However, there seemed to be only silence as the three looked into the woods. Have they retreated after he made it to the camp? Magni cut into another one of his canisters as he continued to stay alert, sucking in the magic as his armor started to glow inside of aura of blue. "I think-"

The Antimage suddenly swung his blade into the air, two small holes near the three soon appeared after the swing, and Magni grunted as he took step back away from the forest. What was happening? The question would soon be answered as the spell on the knives started to disappear. The two holes were filled up with a knife cut in two, when did that happen? Another metal object started to slowly uncloak itself as it appeared to be dug deep into Magni's arm. "Fucking bastard, he can shroud the sound as well." Magni said aloud, venting his frustrations while also telling the two of the annoying ability, he was already feeling his magic being slowly drained from his body. "The other must be near, watch ou-" Magni was suddenly flung away from his allies, the air was knocked out of him as he spiraled across the ground.

As Magni stopped rolling across the ground, there was still only silence as he grasped for breath. He couldn't fight in this condition, he had just been hit twice and the energy was being sapped from his body. The Antimage looked towards his allies, they couldn't possibly see the two with their vision, they were literally invisible to the human eye. However, that gave Magni an idea. He just had to put all his trust in these two, or he'll lose this fight. Magni's armor started to glow even brighter, he couldn't expand anymore energy while keeping up this level of stress on his body. The Antimage could clearly see the burnt orange glowing off the invisible figure now, he may be able to hide from normal eyes, but he couldn't from his sight. "Seven o'clock! Six feet tall and thirty feet away from me!" Magni hoped that the two could figure out where to attack the large figure as the burnt orange started to slow down due to the shock of being seen.

Eve - Crocus Streets

Eve was relived when Nero started to lead the group once again, if she was supposed to lead the group, then the three would get horribly lost as Eve wasn't the greatest with directions in a city she has only been in for two days. However, as Nero continued to lead the group, Eve's personal space started to decrease slowly as the three went deeper into the streets of Crocus. The Necromancer tried maneuver her body to avoid accidentally touching people in the crowded streets, though it was for naught as she constantly bumped into people every time she tried to move out of the way.

The three passed some buildings that would have pleased Eve, but it seemed that Nero had higher taste than herself. After bumping into a little girl and apologizing, she noticed that the group paused near some building. Eve positioned her head to read the store's sign, it seemed that they were going to be having some sweet ice cream, she could go for some ice cream. The Necromancer lightly smiled at his puns, Nero seemed to love making them in almost any type of situation, wonder how he makes them up so quickly. Eve lightly patted his cheeks, even though they were funny, they were still some pretty bad puns. "You gotta chill out on those ice puns Nero," Eve hypocritically said, "I could go for some ice cream though,"

Jamie watched the scene play out, quickly assessing things, and Jamie moved forward saying "I'd like to talk to you, first if that's okay. There's been a few worrying incidents and I'd like to discuss that too. Allow iron enigma to finish cleaning up and assess their situation" Jamie said with an easy smile, glancing at the other guild master, before nodding to the solider. Damian Gerard|Pub outside the Arena

Damian groaned as Penny started in defending Master Jamie's actions and took another gulp of his drink. It wasn't strong enough to get him drunk, even if he had fifty, but it sure helped the headache he'd began to feel with Master Jamie's insistence.
