As the drive goes on, you notice that the you're off the highways, and there's less and less traffic.
Soon, you notice the surroundings start to dim, and though the sun is still up, the clouds cover it making it dark and foreboding. There's a sudden bump, but the bus continues on. You feel another bump, and those near the driver hears him mutter "Oh, man." The bus slows to a stop as a small village to your right catches your eye.
The village looks small and close knit, and the structures appear as though they area decades behind. You hear the hissing sound from the speakers and the driver speaks.
"Uh.. Yeah. The engine's acting up a bit. We're almost at Howler's but..." he said, then looked at his watch, "we'll have to stay the night."
He points to the biggest and closest structure, then says it's an inn. "You can go and explore the village, but I don't advise that. If I were you, I'll get a room and rest. We can ask the agency for reimbursement later. Tomorrow morning, I'll fetch you at the inn and we'll drive up to Howler's."
You hear the hiss again, then the driver's droning voice. "Oh, and don't go out past sunset. Now, if you would just... you know. I gotta bring this to the mechanics."
