The mouth laughed as it was nearly touching him now, the mouth gaping wide open as if about to consume him, "Foolish human.., ahah" at this rate Max would be crushed within a minute, and his magic run out in nearly three times that length at earliest.

The instructor hmmed thoughtfully, "Word magic, a most effective method and very reliable. Can be flighty in combat though since it allows your opponent more time to react." The calm analytical voice betrayed nothing of what was to come. The only warning was a slight shaking of the muddy ground and some sort of enormous worm leapt out of the ground mouth agape. It was ahead of where Meruin and her boulder were traveling and it was easily large enough to swallow both of them whole.

His proctor's voice was practically pulsating with pleasure. "Mhm, very impressive." When he slammed onto the track it gave a massive, ear-piercing, screeching sound and slowed to a crawl. Even a turtle could probably outrun it at this point. When he threw himself onto the first blade at first it lifted him a couple of inches of the ground but then slowly crashed back onto the track remaining immobile. The process was successful repeated with the next two. "Whenever you're ready hun, you're just about through." his proctor's voice echoed throughout encouragingly.
When he continued forward on the crawling track he would find a brick wall. It covered the whole track but beneath it there was a drop into unseen depths. The distance between the edge of the hole and the wall was easy enough to make if he did a running jump, even without enhancements. What you could do at that point was a matter of some debate.
Behind the wall was a long vat of water that replaced that section of the track. It was about 100 meters and was the same distance from the wall as the edge was on the other side. It was boiling hot and it looked like it had... electric eels in it? Beyond that the illusion of this place simply being a factory was destroyed by a gaudy finish line that clearly displayed, 'Congratulations', behind the finish line it seemed there was a cake. How quaint.

"Come back." the golem called out slowly, its voice dull but managing to show displeasure. It reached down to the earth again and this time yelled out angrily "COME BACK!" and grabbed the earth and ripped it up. Like a carpet the dirt between the golem and her whipped into the air, sending her flying into the air if she didn't dodge it.

"Boring, begin death mode." the coach said casually from the sidelines. Suddenly all sunlight vanished, just a dismal sort of gray. A roaring sound came from behind him and now a massive drill nearly three times as tall as Arcadius being propelled by a monster truck was screeching towards him. There was also some sort of intangible barrier surrounding the track that prevented Arcadius from leaving it. The coach grinned, "Run!"
