Several people seem to be convinced that vampires popped up suddenly, which was not the intent. The existence of vampires has been common knowledge for about 1300-1500 years, depending on where you live. Only in the last 50-100 years has there been a clear understanding of the cause of vampirism, however, and has there been any real research into the different Strains.
@IrisityYour char seems not to be very combat oriented. You specifically mentioned they are less strong and fast than other vampires, and their background indicates that they wouldn't have any real skill with ranged or melee weapons, or training in hand-to-hand combat. If you wish for your character to be able to function in combat, you could rectify it by having her be a gun hobbyist, or having taken self defence classes in life, or give her a mutation that increases her combat capability (such as claws, poison breath, I dunno.)
Also, you placed Night Vision under skills? Wouldn't really consider that a skill (more of an ability), but whatever.
@Remipa AwesomeNormally, Stage Two Vampires have no intelligence or personality. They're nothing more than animals. However, for this purpose I created the idea of mutagenic genes. As such, we could simply state that Fergus has a mutation that kicked in when he entered the Second Stage, granting him the ability to retain some semblance to reason. I further like the idea that he might be able to control other Second Stage Vampires, which usually act like ferral uncontrollable hunters. It would explain how he got a bunch of other vamps to follow him, and give him a more important role as a villain.
