"If you don't know what happened to him, then how can you- wait, her?" Trinity stared at Sasha for a moment. Her ears turned red before she continued, "how can you, uh... be so sure about her fate? Nearly anything could have happened to her. If she's somehow here... then where...?" Trinity paused, frowning softly to herself. "We shouldn't talk about this so openly in the middle of a festival, though we should get back to Jarvis on this. I guess we'll probably run into him at the Arena."

Penny knew that Damian was enjoying her discomfort, but for the life of her, she couldn't think what she had done to get herself so much attention, even if it was from one person. As Adamine demonstrated her power, Penny shifted, intrigued. As if in response, she conjured her own flames, and with slight movements on her fingers, caused the flames to twirl, dance and twist, maintaining its size, and shape as it did so. "If you gained more control, I bet you could contain it even if it was far away from you." Penny said thoughtfully, and by closing one hand, sent her flames away. "There's a lot that can be done with fire magic" Obviously this girl wasn't a Phoenix slayer, a slight disappointment to Penny, but it jjust meant she'd have to continue looking. She looked to Damian, and said "Blade magic, he likes to play with swords" She said, looking back to Adamine.

As the magma dog kept on coming, Jamie kept an eye on the magma user, ready for when her negate magic wore off. Focusing her attention on the dog briefy, Jamie once more used property change, conjuring water from nearby, and slamming it down onto the dog, getting wet herself, but not particularly caring. Shifting, she took her sword, a thin needle like blade, from her side, and moved towards the dog, aiming to stab it.

"Ya know, it's rude to talk about people like a gossiping school girl. Especially when said person is within hearing range." Karn said right behind them, face remaining the same calm though his emerald gaze was one of mild annoyance. How irritating of Sasha. The girl didn't exactly the best impression either. At least there was a attempt of assist. He wouldn't get the same luxury though. Giving a grunt he turned his gaze back toward the stadium, eyes narrowing at the loud chatter of people. It was a wonder how he handled it with these ears. They had sharp senses.



"Maybe in reality, there is no choice. Our existence is futile that will one day run its course and be extinct. Or perhaps its just easier to blame something else for your decisions? I would say I didn't quite believe in fate either. Though I did inquire that possibility after seeing a friend die over five hundred times in such silly ways. A shame really. Absolutely the worst luck." he chuckled in amusement as he walked along.

“Yeah, let's go then...” Janna replied to Arthur and quickly followed after him as he dragged Angela with him. It irked her a little at seeing how he dragged his younger companion with him, but it wasn't also exactly her place to interfere with that right now... though then again.

“Well I wouldn't say I'm a secret spy or anything.” The former thief smiled as she turned to the new girl that joined their merry crew for going to the games.” My name is Janna, nice to meet you Anya. It seems we have that trait in common eh?” She said with a happy voice. Ahh this day was actually going perfectly so far! She barely started walking around and she already met a 5 people who she wanted to befriend!"Ohh, you are in a guild? So you are a mage? That's nice, actually I'm a bit of a mage my self, but I'm not part of any guild. Is your guild participating in the games then?"

“Arthur, can't you let her to walk free now?” Janna asked the man with slight notes of concern in her voice.” See what looks people are giving us?” The former thief said nodding to the sides where people were whispering about them.

“So who do you think will win this year?” Janna asked the rest as they were walking towards the stadium.” Any guilds you favor?”

Mayt smirked a little as James returned to training his new student. The S-clas mage seemed fairly interested in their sparring, though he would mostly watch James and how he moved, stood, and attacked. While the normal fighting style for the weapons James had were drastically different than his own, he was sure he could at least learn what each movement he did meant. How he shifted his body, positioned his feet, et cetera. While Mayt was no good at analyzing these kinds of things, he was sure he could learn if he spent long enough staring at someone doing it, though he was sure he'd learn better if he was actually fighting James, but that would definitely end badly. "So, James, where did you learn your swordsmanship? Or are you self taught?"

"Ooh, your name is cool! I like it. And indeeds, I guess we do." Anya replied giggling. She turned so she could face Janna while talking, walking backwards slowly, looking back ever so often to make sure she was going in the right direction.

"Yeep!" She said happily, pointing to the Phoenix Wing guild mark on her cheek. "Phoenix Wing, the top guild in Fiore!" She exclaimed like an excited child that had just recieved enough candy to fill a small house. "I'm more of a physical based mage, though, hence the scythe. I can make it grow huge and stuff." She told her.

"I'm not participating, but my guild is. And they're definietely gunna win! I wish I coulda gotten here to watch 'em sooner, buuut crappy sense of direction is crappy." She told her with a shrug.

"Iron Enigma is kinda cool too I guess, but none of 'em are better than Phoenix Wing of course." She said, smiling. "What about you? Who do you think'll win? Annd ever think about joining a guild?"

She looked over her shoulder at Arthur dragging Angela and couldn't help but laugh at the scene. Between Arthur dragging Angela and Anya's scythe, their little group was indeed attracting a lot of attention.

James backstepped away from the first slash, letting it pass harmlessly through the air, then catching and deflecting the overhead slash with his shield before pivoting around Cody and slamming an elbow into his back and causing him to stumble forward. Holding up a hand when Cody turned, he sheathed his sword and stood between the pair. "I started at Knight's school, and then went on to train with my parents when they took me out of Crocus to keep me from getting taken by the Rune Knights."

"Yes." Trinity nodded. She was about to ask the young woman a question when Karn spoke to them. Normally, she would agree, but "it could also be said that it's quite rude to just grope someone without permission. I still have half a mind to clobber you but good, so watch it, mister." She had turned to walk backwards and face him as she spoke, before turning back around to face forward. "Talk to me about rude..."

Adamine watched Penny maneuver the fire around her fingers and hand and as she closed her hand to put the fire out Adamine extinguished her own blue flames "like I said, I can control it for a couple hundred feet in each direction, I can't really imagine trying to control it any further, that would be so hard" Adamine laughed and rubbed the back of her head in amusement "I've been training by myself since I was twelve, I had to do it in water so I wouldn't start forest fires, cause I've done that and it's pretty bad" grief flashed through her blue eyes as she recalled the events that took place at her childhood home almost thirteen years ago.
Drawing herself back to the present she glanced at Damian "Can he conjure swords like we can flames? Cause that'd be neat, though I don't know the first thing about swords be that which end you hold them by or if they can be used to chop wood" Adamine laughed at herself and made a small trail of flames dance around her fingers.

Before Penny could answer, Damian summoned a knife blade, the oject appearing in an light orange shimmer, before dispersing it. "The magic works similarly to your own fire magic, but is it's own the same way every magic is."

How could she be so calm with this kind of situation? Wasn't she afraid that her older brother may enter guard dog mode and destroy him or at least pissed scared with threats? He groaned and ran his fingers through his hair anxiously. "Of course I'm nervous! I'm dating you, his little sister and if that doesn't warrant him to enter guarding brother mode then I don't know what...." His jaw dropped slightly in shock, falling silent as if he lost his ability to speak. He heard his voice throughout the stadium...through the speakers...He said that all into his microphone without even realizing it. Ferris was so caught up in his thoughts that he forgot that the microphone was in front of his lips!

"...Ahem, er, yes those two certainly help support the council in an age where the public has lost trust in them. It is an arduous task, but this is a first step to connect with the people again. Is there anything that the council wish to say to the audience?" Right now he was shaking all over trying his best to not scream for the blunder that he made. He dun-goofed badly.

What the heck was with her attitude? Did this kid wanted to be treated as a grown up or something, because she certainly wasn't acting how a mature adult would. God damn it, he didn't have time to be chatting idly with some random teenager! Nolan had to haul ass or else he may not be able to participated in the games anymore. Sighing in frustration he said, "Look kid, I don't know what your deal is, but I can't waste my time talking to you. I'm late enough as it is and if I don't get to the Domus Flau soon I may get kicked out of the games." From the stadium he could hear the roar of people and turned to its direction. "Dammit! I gotta move!" Nolan sprinted past her straight towards the stadium's direction. Hopefully the games haven't started yet!

Jessie watched with curiousiry as Ferris spoke to her, with his mic still on. She smiled as he realized it was on, as he seemed to briefly lose the ability to speak. "my brothers know full well I can take care of myself." she said, looking to the arena once more, and seeing Drew laughing, clearly hard as he struggled to catch his breath. "but it's adorable that you are worried about that" she looked over at Ferris and grinned, more amused then embarrassed herself, although she was embarrassed, "dating, huh?" turning back to her mic, she switched it back on, having turned it off, and addressed the crowd once more. "and here comes Grane! What can you say about him except he makes an excellent guard dog! In the best possible way of course! I think all we are waiting for is Masahiko!"

Michael wasn't too sure if Prince was joking around or not. How could someone die over 500 times? More then once just seemed impossible. Dead was typically dead after all. He wasn't too sure if he was meant to comment on that, so he just stayed silent,

"it's crocus, and there's seven guilds here. Of course there's probably trouble somewhere." Michael said, managing to put amusement into his tone, glancing about as they walked, as if danger was all around them.

As Karn butted in, Sasha was about to speak up when Trinity did. So Sasha took the chance to studying Karn. There did appear to be something strange with him. For one, Karn never seemed to show annoyance and now to do so? Sasha frowned, "is it wrong to worry about a friend?"

Cody stumbled and fell flat on his face from the elbow to the back with a loud 'oof'. He quickly scurried to his feet to see that James had sheathed his sword and was now talking Mayt, so Cody just took this as a chance to have a quick rest and so sat back down with his sword in front of him.

"Yeah let go of me you bully!" Angela squirmed once more causing the young man to sigh.
"Last time I let you go, you ran off and we spent three hours looking for you; so no." He kept hold of the back of her outfit while ignoring the whispers and looks they getting. He was unsure if it was because of the little girl with a huge scythe, him dragging Angela, Angela's witch outfit or Jessica's gothic dress which was gathering the most attention but it didn't really matter.
James and Jessica glanced at each other when they heard the word guild, Phoenix Wing to be precise.
"We'll have to be careful, we don't want the Phoenix to alert the others there is a dark guild here." James whispered softly to Jessica who simply nodded in reply.
"As long as we stay out of trouble they shouldn't find out." She replied as she glanced over her shoulder at Arthur, who simply nodded in understanding. He would have to explain this to Angela later to be careful what she said around Anya or Janna.
"Phoenix Wing will win by the stretch of Crocus, they're the strongest guild around." Arthur replied to Anya.

“Ohhh cool, on my travels I’ve been hearing a lot about you guys.” Janna said to Anya with a smile, frowning a little at seeing the girl walk backwards.” You really shouldn’t walk like that, you might crash into someone again…” It was strange how much she always started acting like an older sister when she meets a someone she considers a child. She never had any real siblings, but she kind of got used to look after other children who were also homeless back in her hometown.

“Actually I’ve been planning on bet on Phoenix Wing also. They have best chances, but one never knows. Sometimes surprising things happen on the arena.” She replied with a friendly smile, pondering the second question.” Well I tried to enter a guild once. Kind of got kicked out the moment they learned what my magic was. Told me they didn’t want to have anything to do with someone who has magic like mine or something like that. They were a pretty minor guild and all, heard they disbanded a few months after I tried applying though.” Was her reply, she didn’t really want to risk show her magic right here on the crowded roads. The side effects of her magic could lead into troubles." But it's kind of good also I suppose, because of that I found a job as a cook in a good restaurant, now I'm very good at cooking!"

“I think she won’t run away again this time right?” Janna asked Angela with a smile.” Besides if she doesn’t run away, I may have some more candy that’s hidden away in my bag I can give as a reward…” She said casually looking to the side.

Adamine looked at Penny curiously "You can combine magic? That would be cool, I wouldn't mind knowing how to do that at all, also, how exactly do I go about joining Phoenix Wing? Is there a form I have to sign? "
Adamine thought about how cool it would be to combine powers and turned to Damian "can you do that again, make a blade appear? And can you make it appear and move? Like I can my fire?" to demonstrate Adamine conjured a blue flame, concentrating she made the flame swirl around in small figure eights in front of her, she looked up from her fire as it disappeared to look at Damian curiously

Damian chuckled as the girl continued on. "Joining is simple, just let Master Jamie know and she'll get you your guild mark on the location you choose, along with color. No forms or tests. And the combining is called a Unison Raid, but isn't exactly simple to do. I've only ever tried once and we didn't quite get it right." He returned to watch the Council parade out onto the field before she addressed him again. Nodding, Damian summons a knife blade and spins it like the hands of a clock and then lets it do it's own thing, anywhere from the figure eight that her flames had done to more flashy moves. "My spells use the ability for each blade to move freely to keep the enemy moving or risk getting caught in a whirlwind of blades from every perceivable direction. You see it coming from the front? Then you better go right because they're likely going to come from behind and above too. I could go on, but I think you get the point."

Adamine watched Damian's conjured blade in fascination "That's pretty neat, I bet you can control them pretty easily, since it doesn't really have a will of it's own, fire seems to always want to follow a path of least resistance and the heat always wants to rise, it's pretty hard to control that" Adamine smiled softly "oh and where would I find Master Jamie so I could go ahead and join, though maybe I should wait until after the games" Adamine's words slowed to a stop as she recognized her twin brother's feelings inside her, tightening her jaw at all the anger she felt from him she glanced around, seeing him step into the doorway of the Phoenix Wing stands Adamine gawked at him until he motioned her closer, she moved toward him without hesitation. He smiled forcefully as she approached "Hey sis, it's been a long while, I know, but we need to talk, alone" he flashed his steely blue eyes at the room and stepped aside so Adamine could pass through the doorway, Adiaan's arms flickered with small black flames as he turned and followed her.
Adamine's mind was racing, her brother was alive and here with her, but she could feel all his dark feelings and that scared her, she tried not to let it show as they came to a halt at the edge of the city. "what's this all about Adiaan, and what is wrong with you, what happened?" Adamine raised her voice as Adiaan rounded on her, his flames extending to the ground around them as he grew more angry "you killed mom and dad didn't you!" black fire exploded all around him as he pulled his spear from his back.

Penny followed the conversation as they waited for the last of the council to be announced, and the games event to begin. "Probably best to wait. Master Jamie could be anywhere. One of us could do it, but who knows where the guild marker is? Chance are, she has it on her"

She froned as someone approached Adamine, not liking the way they appeared, but there appeared to be some sort of family relationship between the two. She narrowed her eyes, not liking the tension that was there, nor the display of flames. There was something here, and that display of fire power just seemed a little uncontrolled. "I don't like this"

Damian chuckled and opened his mouth to answer when he noticed the way her jaw knoted up. "Everythi-" His question is cut short when he sees the boy and watches Adamine go over to him. He could sense something was off, so when they left, Damian stood to follow. "Take my spot, Penny, just in case we're not back before the Council gets done prancing around. If I am, I'll do the game." Going out, Damian took to the rooftops, following the pair as discreetly as possible. He eventually had to take to the streets to keep up and he was watching from an alleyway when the boy exploded.

Not hesitating, Damian leaped forward and pulled Adamine away, one Ares Blade and a Blade shield appearing in his hand and on his arm, the shield taking the brunt of the explosion. "Not today you don't!"

Penny was getting real tired of sitting about, and watching over the other members, being left out of the action. She sighed, and crossed her arms over her chest, and called out after Damian, "If I have to take your spot, I'm not going to be happy!" She hadn't wanted to be in the games, but so far she had found herself being put in the spot of potentially having to be in them twice, both times for Damian.

And I wouldn't do it for anyone else She sighed to herself, and turned to the arena, glancing over the guild, those that were there, and the arena itself, at the other guilds and the viewers, looking for any sign of danger, which might be paranoid, but after the last few days, she didn't think so. So it must be love

How long until the first event started? How long until Damian came back? Was she really going to have to participate in the games? Sighing again, she figured there was perhaps only another ten minutes until the first event started. Not a lot of time.
