F rank Defense is a dangerous game. After all, you can't dodge raid-boss AOEs...

That being said, mind changing your font color to a lighter blue? I use default background, so yea...sorta hard to read your spells.

Now I'm very worried for Lemonade. F Defense... well that's why Luck is S and Evasion is A I suppose :P

Luck only deals with loot drops though, doesn't it?

Pretty much.

Although, we're considering whether or not it would have an effect on the rate of critical hits or something, potentially.

I'd imagine it would also impact Critical Hit rate and multiplier to some extent. In some games I've played it has affected the chances of random quests or events activating. Also gambling minigames.

EDIT: Whoops it has now been answered by the Boss!

Mm, feel like giving Luck both Critical Hit Chance and Loot Drop Increase seems to cover too wide of a base.

But then again, Loot Drop Increase stat will be every Chinese gold farmer's dream. Just set up a party of Luck pumpers, and have them come along for raids. EZ Phantasm.

I think luck would probably work best just for crits, a stat that affects loot chance seems a little borken.

Also personally not a huge fan of anything too number intensive for stats. Some rules on how many S ranks you can have would be fine, but I feel exact numbers on health or damage should be left to actual MMO's.

True. I guess it would be made so that Phantasmals weren't affected by an increased drop chance or something. Or not. Hell, maybe that could be some sort of issue on one of the other servers, sounds like a pretty interesting conflict.

Same. I'd also rather the stats not be that number intensive.

Still, I don't think Ashfili's suggestion is that number intensive. Being able to put 21 stat points into 7 different core stats feels pretty fair and autonomous while still being "balanced," in a way. It also makes it more accurate when it comes to who's got better agility, strength, etc.

Actually, how would Loot Drop Increase work the first place? Does it only trigger if you're the one who got the last hit on the mob? Or does it take into consideration your entire party's Luck modifier?

Just feels like a really sketchy stat to have in a grinding game (cause all MMOs are about da grind)...

I'd guess it'd depend on last hitting. Otherwise, how would you decide who a boss drop would go to?

Edit: Also, is Wisdom the stat I want to be focusing on as a Healer? Or would that be Intelligence?

Healer classes would generally want to focus on the Wisdom stat, but they do use some damage spells, so intelligence is also a good stat to invest in.

It really depends on what kind of build you'd be going for.

WIS is the stats for healing and buffing magic I think

I would have thought that buffing magic was the territory of Intelligence, because it has an offensive effect...

And in a party, who the boss drop goes to is determined by how much they'll benefit from it and how much they've contributed to taking down the boss. In raids, at least, the drops are for anyone to pick up, so generally the party squabble over who gets what.

I can see buffing magic falling under Wisdom, since it doesn't directly attack. It inflicts a positive or negative status effect instead of direct damage like a traditional Mage spell

It might very well be that Int is for spells that affect enemies (debuffs, offensive shit), while Wis is for spells that affect allies (buffs, heals)...but that'd suck for a bard's stat distributions then, if they went for a balanced approach. XD

Yeah, a Bard is a character that is most likely to fall into the trap of the "Jack of all Trades, Master of None". Having to juggle Weapons (ranged or melee depending on preference), Offensive and Defensive Magic. Plus every game I've played with a Bard has shown them to be squishy (hence I made Evasion and A for Lemonade... thinking of swapping Evasion and Luck around, better to never be hit to make up for squishy-ness) :P
