Nidhogg
Nidhogg was a little less than pleased about getting drenched in water, giving a scouring glare at the woman on the screen as if he wanted her to combust into flames. Sadly, he didn't have such power, so hearing her screams of agony would have to wait another day, for she was definitely prey worthy of his utmost effort. Same for the young Godslayer, who did very well considering the odds.
I wonder if I should pay the boy a visit. It's been awhile since I've tasted the flesh if a slayer. Hmmm, not now, too many mages in one place to pull a stunt like that, but after the games. . .A ghost of a smile danced across Nidhogg's face, the thought of the hunt to come after these festivities getting his heart pumping with gluttonous energy. As Anya spoke to him with her childish excitement, he was currently wringing the water from his hair and mutter some slight apologies to those behind him, as the wind had caused his braid to whip around a smack another viewer across the face. Judging from the mischievous gleam in his eyes, however, it seemed very unlikely that he felt even remotely remorseful about it.(
@Lmpkio could be Marlene/Samir if you wish)
"Aside from the unexpected splash zone, I must admit that it was pretty exhilarating." Nidhogg replied after he dismissed those behind him, giving her his full attention. "But hopefully the battles to come will far outshine that little scuffle. While we wait for that announcement, I must ask: What rank do you hold in your guild, and how do you feel you measure up? That God Slayer is a member of Phoenix Wing, do you think you could fight him on equal terms. What about that Indigo woman?"
@ShikaruArgus
Argus looked back at Owen with a steely expression as he talked, resisting the urge to tell the man where he could stick his Rapier. He wasn't sure how much of this was from residual magic, or how unneeded he felt Owen's words were. "Old habits are hard to break, especially when you're stuck with a magic that is actively trying to get me to use them. And as far as my problem's go, I'm bit going to tell then to a bunch of people I just met, of which more than half had raised their weapon or wielded their magic against me." Argus growled out the last part, his eyes glowing slightly in response to Owen's prying. It there was one thing he hated, it was when people tried to force him to talk about his past. He'd had enough bad memories resurfacing from repression for one day, and he didn't want to add to it. "If I ever feel like telling you, then I'll tell you, but that's my call to make."
Argus turned away from Oweb to stare at the fire, giving a short shrug after Ike finished his bout of talking, not really having much to say. he didn't know Iska personnally, so he couldn't really soeak in her defense. "I don't know, man, just seens excessive." At that point, he was thinking about may e going fir another walk through the city, when Gaberial spoke up with his own opinion. Was it insensitive as hell? Yes, but Owen's response was way over the top, and really uncalled for. Jane and Ike gave dismissive responses, much more restrained then the swordsman's, but only Ike seemed to see the situation for what it really was: the kid being an idiot.
Gaberial gave his own response, pulling examples from his own life to price he knew suffering before he stormed offed. Shortly after, Argus sighed, scratching his head in annoyance. "I really hope this doesn't blow up in my face." He muttered under his breath as he got up, giving Ike a pat on the shoulder as he passed. "I'm off to stick my mode where it doesn't belong be suse I can't help myself, so we'll have to eat some other time. Oh, and if you're going to the games, find a girl with glasses and black hair and tell her that Argus sends his regards and apologies. . . oh, and give her these." He tossed Ike to pieces of wrapped up rock candy and three silver lacrima in a baggy. "Some candy and really good fireworks. Be careful with those, you don't want to be close by when they go off. Oh, and if you aren't going, just keep'em. Consider it an apology of sorts, . . . or just chuck 'me in a garbage can, if ya aren't into that sort of thing." And with little more than a wave, Argus was off.
It took him a while to find Gabriel's trail,but years of improv survival helping him to identify the mage's tracks. Once he spotted the clearing up ahead, he took to the trees, using his Mage to create his own footholds and making his way to an area high above. He then re-quipped a few smoke lacrima. He chuckled to himself, readying himself for an epic entrance. . . only to suddenly hear an ominously loud creaking sound. Looking back, he saw that he had seemed to have cut a hole into the branch he was standing in with his magic once he grabbed it. This plus his weigh and movement equalled Gabriel becoming very aware of Argus' presence when a loud snap heralded him crashing into the ground a little ways a way. He shakingly got himself up, looking as I'd he was about to say something, only for the lacrima to fall around him. This resulted in him getting accidentally inhaling some if the smoke, which warranted another minute of gasping as he struggled to find his way out if the dense cloud, coughing and hacking until he finally did so, kneeling in the ground and heaving large amounts of air into his lungs.
Once he was certain he could breath again, Argus slowly rose to a standing position, hissing in pain as several areas in his body protested the idea. "Just for the record, that was supposed to be a fantastic entrance, until I was reminded that people aren't meant to climb trees. Man, that hurts, thing I fractured something, or more likely, a couple somethings." Argus took a few more seconds to acclimate himself to the pain, letting out some choice words as he did so, before turning his attention back to Gabriel. "So, Ganriel was it, I don't think we've been properly introduced. I'm Argus Leandros, just call me Argus, never call me Arg, and I. . . have come to have a chat. Nothing about you, or me, or whatever just happened at the camp, just a friendly chat between two newbies to the guild. You game for that?"
