Sol's acrobatic feat of dodging his blow earned him a blow against the Man, however, he used arm to block the incoming blow, with the blade cutting deeply into the limb and drawing blood, yet with no visible reaction on his part. As he blocked with that arm, he leaned into it while simultaneously lifting his hip and leg up for a crescent-moon kick to the upside down Sol's midsection, intent on sending him down into the ground. If he went down flat, then Sol would find himself facing the shadow of a falling axe towards his neck.

Sol let out a grin of elation as he once again drew blood from his opponent. Short-lived, as he was quickly kicked out the air and sent crashing roughly to the ground. He quickly tried to re-orient himself and felt an overwhelming sense of death. Purely on reflex Sol wildly swung his sword upwards smashing into the axe coming for his head. His own arm was slammed into the ground from the force but the axe was diverted just enough that it crashed into the ground above his head. Veins full of excitement and adrenaline Sol leapt to his feet away from the axe-man regaining his ground and watching for the next attack. This fight was almost over. Sol could feel his body trembling from a mix of exertion, damage, and excitement. Even though he'd only been technically hit twice he could feel his arms shaking from the strength of the blows. He only had a few moves left before he ran out of strength, Sol anticipated only being able to take one more hit from the man before his body gave out.

"Hm, you've lasted two hits now; that's usually enough to kill first-time students. You've done suitably well, but I wonder if you can last a third hit?"

The Man was musing with his gigantic axe resting head-first on the ground. Chuckling to himself, he hefted the large axe and positioned it to his side, ready to swing. He placed a leg forward and leaned slightly, gripping the handle of the axe, and locking eyes with Sol, ready as he was to finish this.

Before he charged, the Man gave him a small, childish grin. "Just so you know, you had already passed your exam when Mr. Altaaya fainted earlier; everything after that was simply me satisfying our mutual battle-lust."

Then he charged, taking most of the ground with him as he kicked it up in a sudden, powerful pounce. Now once again behind Sol, this time his axe was actually in front of him, rotating rapidly. The Man had thrown the axe at Sol, right before moving behind him in an explosive burst of speed. His fist curled downwards in a sharp uppercut, aiming to pound his spine into dust.

"Well then I thank you for that." said cordially as ever as he waited for his opponents next move. Then Sol nearly did a double take as he realized the weapon, and most of the floor, was coming towards him without a man behind it. As the man wasn't in his peripherals he could only conclude that the axeman was behind him. Which left him to evaluate his threats. Blocking the axe was impossible, with the rotation speed and fatigue he already had the axe would tear through his defense and leave him vulnerable to the doubtless incoming attack from behind besides. That narrowed it down to dealing with the man himself, there was no way he could block man's attack with his body and only possible with his sword, once again leaving himself unable to defend from the axe.

Then it seemed it was do or die time. Letting out a fierce yell Sol turned away from the axe and rushed to the man behind him. As he turned he found the man's fist already plummeting towards towards his head at this point. That meant the man must've been aiming for his spine or neck given their positions now. Regardless he considered his next move in a matter of moments between moments. He had one last chance to score a blow. It must be lethal as possible, stomach? Too slow a death. Throat? Too risky as well as too awkward to reach. The heart? Most dangerous point to strike in least amount of time with most strength.

Sol shifted his body to the side as he moved forward, not enough to move out of the way, but now the man's fist would hit his shoulder instead of anything more vital. On the other hand Sol's sword lunged directly where the man's heart if he had a normal human anatomy, which admittedly wasn't guaranteed. But with no more time to consider and death getting closer every second Sol committed to the thrust that would decide the battle. He knew the man would hit his shoulder with most likely bone-shattering force and the axe would hit at nearly the same time. Oh well, either's Sol's sword would find it's target or he would be defeated then and there. Maybe even both. At least he knew he had passed his exam regardless and more importantly had a good fight.
