Name - Garfield Logan

Alias - Superbeast

Age - 18

Team - YJ Academy

Appearance -

Powers - Superbeast has shape-shifting abilities similar to classic Beast Boy, however he is limited to the alien wildlife in Superman's menagerie once obtained by the Preserver. This includes such alien species thought to be the last of their kind:

Thanagarian Snare Beast - Imagine a giant spider creature the size of a small house, however it doesn't spin webs.
Starro - Small amphibious starfish sized face suckers that can control any creature it attaches itself to.
Igoonian Rock Ape - As the name implies, an alien ape like creature with brute strength and rocky skin.
Tundronian Rhinosaur - A ten legged alien rhino with an even stronger plated hide, with a horn that can shoot a super acidic ooze.
'Bone Serpent' of Daxam - Largest known predator on Daxam that lives mostly underground. Can rip a humanoid in half with it's python like grip and pointed tail.
Prehistoric Conarian Bird - Think about an alien vulture, about the size of a small couch an average sized humanoid could ride on if need be.
Humatoad - Eight inch tall trouble maker. Hops around on all fours and can stick to most surfaces.
Bearcat -What looks to be a hybrid of a bear and a tiger from a planet in sector 2828. About the size of a small car, this beast is ferocious when it needs to be.
Lightning Beast of Winath -The Big Foot of it's planet, some people of Winath believe the 'Lightning Beast' to be responsible for large scale blackouts. Others believed it to be a hoax. About the size of a larger dog.
Grass Monkey of Mogo -Hailing from the sentient planet GL Mogo, this species of plant creature occupied Mogo's forests for a time. Can regenerate and elongate limbs, agile like a monkey and similar in size.
T-Rex - Prehistoric tyrannosaurus rex originating from Earth. Massive jaws can rip through anything they bite down on.
Dodo Bird -Small, fast, and flightless bird that defends itself by stabbing at enemies with it's beak. About three feet tall and roughly fifty pounds.

Gar also possesses enhanced speed, strength, agility, and senses. All feral in nature, nothing too superhuman. He can run a mile in about three minutes maybe, like Olympic level strength and speed. Later on he will learn to imprint DNA from new animals to add to his arsenal.

Weaknesses - Same fleshy weaknesses as humans, just with durable skin/fur about as strong as kevlar. Heavy arms fire, energy attacks, mental attacks, etc all work on Superbeast unless countered specifically by an alien creature. For example, you couldn't telepathically hurt his mind if he shifted into the Starro.

Personality - Gar tries to be funny, has a big heart, and is a bit bi-polar. He'll go feral on your ass at the drop of a dime if you piss him off.

Bio - It began with Clark Kent writing a story for the Daily Planet about his 'exclusive' trip to the Fortress of Solitude. The mention of an interplanetary habitat and housing the last of several alien species intrigued the big wigs at National Geographic and the Discovery Network. The cosmic zoo was once the collection of an alien called the Preserver who tried capturing Superman and Lobo for his gallery of exotic alien wild life. It included a somehow preserved prehistoric tyrannosaurus rex and the last Dodo Bird. Meetings were made between Superman and several biologists and xenobiologists and Superman received many letters addressed to Daily Planet editorial.

Enter Mark and Marie Logan, both biologists, who were chosen by Superman himself for the tour of the interplanetary habitat. Their twelve year old son Garfield was also asked to join them at the insistence of Superman. As fate would have it, an emergency pulled Superman away from the Fortress, whom Superman left in the care of his robot assistants while the husband and wife collected data and photos of the remaining species of the zoo. Superman hadn't known of the Starro's abilities when it attached itself to the Logan's son. While trying to escape the Fortress the mind-controlled boy was bitten and scratched by several of the creatures and bugs in the habitat before the Starro latched onto Mark Logan.

Superman returned and put the KO on the Starro, but had no idea what sort of anti-venom to give the boy who was already turning red. Choosing a combination of two or three antidotes the boy seemed to stabilize after several seizures. However, his red skin remained. His bi-polar mother blamed herself. She began to work less and sunk into a depression. Over the years Garfield's mother home schooled him as he randomly shifted into the alien creatures seen in the interplanetary habitat. Even a Starro! When Superman learned of his abilities he recommended Garfield join the Young Justice Academy right around the time of his seventeenth birthday. Garfield then took up a costume of his own and trimmed his chest fur into a Superman pentagon shape. Now, with a years experience under his belt, he calls himself... SUPERBEAST.

Notes - I guess this makes him similar to Ben10, but I've got the extra two creatures in the T-Rex and Dodo Bird.

Name|Alias:

Eapalekthiloom(Theo) Nez Perce|Esa the Wanderer

Hero Archetype:
Completely Original to my knowledge

Age:
20(?)

Team:
Young Justice

Powers:
Theo is the conduit for the Native American wolf god, Esa, the creator god from his tribe. When he was little, his mother gave away his ability to speak to the god, in order to save his life, however she did not know what she fully did when she made the pact and in so, Theo has a black band tattoo on both his arms. When he activates his power, his eyes glow blue and the bands match with a bright blue.

Pelt of Esa: Theo is incredibly hard to kill, as he has a living god within him. He's not invincible or immortal but he is capable of withstanding the crushing weight of a house falling on him and his body can withstand impact from a full speed bullet train head on.

Lifeforce of Esa: With the perks of a god being in him, he gained the strength of Esa, who was told to be able to lift mountains (not really, he can lift up to 12 tons without effort and 20 tons with extremely strained effort) and gained the speed of Esa, who was said to be able to outrun time (Again not really, he can run up to 330 mphs without tiring, any faster and he will be forced to stop and catch his breath). Aside from these physical aspects, his eyes, ears and nose, as well as over all sense have been amplified to that of wolf and have proven to be incredibly effective (I mean the kid has wolf ears for crying outloud).

Breath of Esa: Quite literally, Theo's breath can heal wounds that aren't life threatening, and this power goes beyond just healing people. It can heal the land as well as animals and even heal the likes of material (It can remove rust, fix cracks, replace chips in metal. Part of this power stems back to the Creation of Esa, and allows for him to be able to do this).

Eyes of Esa: Not in the literal sense, more so in a metaphorical sense, through looking into the eyes of an animal, Theo can mentally talk to any animal, or in the case of animals about the size of rats, up to four others and allows them to communicate back with Theo. However animals can refuse the connection and refuse talking to him as well. This includes humans as well, however he can only talk to two humans, as it puts and enormous strain on his body if he is to keep moving or in action. However if he is sitting still, he can talk to almost a dozen living things at once and it's amplified even more if he is in a place high above the ground and stationary. In this state, he must close his eyes and cannot move what so ever or it is instantly broken and his mind put into a coma of shorts, it's almost a cool down stage and he is completely vulnerable for an hour.

Weaknesses:
Aside from the ones shown in his powers, here are his others:
-Pure silver is extremely harmful to his body, and if prolonged engagement with pure silver continues, it will make him extremely sick, to the point he will pass out and Esa leaves his body, reverting him to the sickness he had as a child.

-He is a mute, so without a connection to his Eyes of Esa, he has to talk through written or typed communication.

-He has a strong sense of protection to animals, this including humans and even more so his comrades. He will give his all to protect his friends and that of innocent animals. Even risking his life.

Personality:
Honestly, it is a bold claim he makes, that he can make a friend out of anyone. It is true, Theo is quick to consider most individuals friends, but this is a error of his judgment. When he meets someone, he quickly learns the greatest portion of who they are. Before introductions have concluded, he can understand a person as if they had been his dearest friend for their whole life. Better still, he becomes as listener, a friend, a helper. This level of intimacy often plays to the advantage, allowing him to discuss with his audience, the intricacies of who they are. The challenge being, who Theo has had to deal with a majority of the time. Since becoming a mute, there is a gap in how he acts and talks. Unfortunately, he experienced things because of this fact and it skewed how he is towards others. In the complex workings of both his power and mind, he finds that now he is distant more, scared to look into the souls of the people he talks to. He doesn't want to get to close, because he knows everyone has their own secrets, like he has his. only thing is, he can't stop himself from trying find out more about you, all it takes is one touch and Boom, instant "I know you life" and he doesn't want to know anyone without getting permission.

For this reason, Theo is often perceived as weird and off putting. Not because he doesn't talk, but simply because he doesn't venture out much from his "shell" so to speak. While if you approach him, you could tell he's easily the nicest person one could hope to meet, and that he loves to have friends. He won't go out of his way to introduce himself unless you're an old friend or friend period. Don't get him wrong though, it's not because he hates you or anything like that, he's just scared of what he will learn about you, he fears that he'll know things that you don't want others to know. Knowledge is not all that it is cracked up to be, contrary to belief. Along with this fact, he is mute, theres no getting around that. It has taken quite the mental abuse on both his mind and his body. He's gone through the hardships that mutism brings to him, making friends, socializing, learning. This is another reason why he is so distant from others, he's just gone through too much. He also has a hard time letting go of things, when he sees you as a friend, if you were to die, he would be traumatized with the fact that you died. It's just something about him that makes him harder to let go, he's not obsessed or anything like that, but he is human when it comes to losing things, it just hits him harder for some reason.

Brief Bio:
Theo as kid was an adventurous one, living on the reserve that he did, he was like many of the kids there. He wanted something different something more exciting. When he saw The Man of Steel and people like Batman on TV, he would sit there and reply and watch for hours, imagining himself there with them, fighting side by side. As time went on, they decided to move and with that came all new experiences. However things would quickly go for the worst and bad things hit Theo and his family.

Theo contracted an illness unexplainable by doctors, it rivaled the likes of several different diseases, cancer being one of them but was in a level of it's own. It made Theo incredibly sick, so much that they had to go back to the reserve, in hopes that fresh air could heal him back. However as he grew more and more sick, with every month passing, on his tenth birthday his mother would make a deal that change his life forever. His mother met with one of the reserves resident shamans, who then in turn gave his mother an option. Pray to Esa and he might save Theo or take your chances, his mother being desperate, she prayed and Esa heard her.

However it wasn't so simple, his mother was asked to give up something of Theo's and in turn he would be safe for the rest of his life. However she did not quite realize what this meant when the god said that and in doing so, she gave up his voice. This however meant much more then she could imagine, Theo got better almost instantly, however with his health hastily growing, his once normally long hair began to grow more, forming an almost tail of sorts at the end and then suddenly wolf ears forming on his head. Black tattoo's taking the form of simply bands formed on his arms and it was apparently Esa did more then just heal him.

It was found that Theo had become the conduit for Esa, and ever since then, he has began to be able to be the person he had always wanted to be.

Weird Tales A Stranger from A Strange Outer Dimension

Hero Archetype: Original
Name: Finn Mac Connell
Alias: The Mighty St William
Age: 28
Team: JL
Powers: Finns abilities stem from God and commands powerful divine powers. When he makes a prayer to God asking to become St William, Finn is engulfed in holy light and is transformed into the armored warrior and thus has several abilities. His power comes from both God and prayer so when he is in a holy place then his body absorbs the holy energy created by prayers to fill his reserves of divine power.

Master Swordsmen: Finn is superb swordsmen and is a master in the German school of longsword fencing. He has also developed a longsword fighting style of his own to fit with his incredible powers.

God's strength: St William is strong enough to lift fifteen tons.

God's speed: His reaction time is quick enough to deflect bullets with his longsword and he can run up to 300 mph.

God's Wrath: St William channels divine energy within to create bolts of white lightning. This power is both harmful to both natural and supernatural beings. The power of this attack is determined by how much divine energy he puts into it.

Hand of God: By focusing his mind St William can move stuff in a way very similar to telekinesis through the use of manipulating divine energy.

God's Mercy: This power allows Finn's body to heal at a slow pace and while it won't save him from death, it can heal fatal wounds after a long rest. Resting on holy ground will speed up the process and rejuvenate him.

Judgement: This is his most dangerous power and it causes him to unleash a large blast of divine energy that burns whatever is in its path. This ability uses up the most divine energy and its destructive power makes it dangerous to use populated areas so this is a last resort technique.

Equipment: His armor is made from divine metals and is tough enough to withstand gunfire and allows him to endure large amounts of punishment. His sword was crafted in heaven and thanks to its divine properties it is very deadly to both the living and the dead. It can cut through all earthly metals except silver. It is especially effective against demons and it is his main method of combat. The blade also has the capability of not killing an opponent by Finn simply willing the blade to not cut too deep into his opponent's flesh.

Weaknesses: Silver is like kryptonite to him and it will slowly drain him of his powers. Pure iron can also get past his divine defenses, and while his well of divine power is large it is not endless and he will run out of energy if he uses too much of it for too powerful of attacks.

Personality: Finn for as long as he could remember has always been a devout Catholic and had cynical view of the modern world ever since he was a young man. He has a deep dislike for artificial life thinking that it is unnatural and an abomination against God. His views became more negative after the technovirus enslaved several heroes and innocents. His powers that he attained from God were a sign to him that it was time to purify this wicked world of the sins of science and all abominations.

For too long has good people sat by and let the minions of the devil bring the world to ruin, these were his views on the current state of things. Finn will not let others insult his faith without some very heated words. Because of his special powers Finn has developed a holier than thou attitude and will look down upon non believers as being misguided.
Appearance:

Brief Bio: Growing up religious in the twenty first century was not easy for Finn do to changing opinions on organized religion and the arguments of the scientific community. Ever since he was a little boy Finn faced ridicule for his Catholic beliefs and school was a hard time for him thanks to bad education system and rampant spread of toxic neo progressive ideologies. He hated having to defend himself and his beliefs from the constant bullies, but it was a harsh reality.

One of the first things that his parents taught him was that the world was cruel and that it was important to never expect society to do you many favors. He was one of the luckier members of the millennial generation because his parents never babied him and they made sure he had good work skills unlike so many of his generation. He also didn't fall into the trap that was collage and took a cheaper route to save him unneeded debt.

So while his childhood had been ruff and full of challenges to his faith, Finn still pulled through with his devout belief in the Catholic church. Carpentry was his chosen career and he moved to Metropolis when he started his job. For a good while he was satisfied with life, that was until Brainiac took possession of Superman and brought the city's villains under his control. In his most desperate hour, Finn prayed to God for aid and he was answered by transforming into a mighty warrior of God.

With his new powers and his hatred of Brainiac and all synthetic life forms reaching new levels, Finn is ready to bring back virtue and faith into this sinful world.

Name: Virgil Hawkins
Alias: Static
Age: 17
Team: Young Justice Academy

Powers: Since being afflicted by the Big Bang gas, Virgil is akin to a human battery. While he can't hold or produce unlimited power, he can siphon it from electrical devices, and charges naturally (though slowly) by collecting static from moving around.

By discharging said electricity, he can manipulate it too his will, blasting targets or applying a charge to objects or surfaces. This includes magnetic charges, allowing him to attract/repel things with a charge, like moving metal, such as his trademark collapsible saucer.

Weaknesses: In the event Virgil has charged up or absorbed too much power, it becomes more difficult to control, often sparking out, requiring him to discharge a fair amount before it returns to normal. Of course, in general, if he uses too much power, his capabilities will be limited until he can recharge, either through a source such as power lines or after some rest. He also has issues with water, which can easily disrupt his charges.

Appearance:

Personality: Wise cracking and cool headed, Virgil's been known to get full of himself at times his cockiness occasionally leading him into danger. As one of the only heroes who sprouted from Dakota's Big Bang, he has a rather strong moral compass thanks to his strict upbringing. He has a tendency to be a bit immature, but with the recent Man of Steel situation, chances are Virgil is going to have some growing up to do.

Brief Bio: Native to Dakota City, Illinois, Virgil grew up as just one part of the city's rather sizable black community. Under a strict father, Robert, and a kind mother, Jean, along with a bratty sister, Sharon, Virgil was more blessed with family than many, but the city's rampant gang violence took his mother from him at a young age. Gone too soon, Jean's death in the line of duty wouldn't change the city over night, being just one in a long list of casualties, but even though Virgil was barely old enough to comprehend the finality of death, it would change his home life for years to come, with Robert's desire to keep his children out of trouble resulting in a tighter grip, while Sharon felt the need to fill the gap her mother left, with questionable results.

Entering the school life, Virgil was rather gifted, but as he excelled, for every time a teacher praised him, a peer derided him. Maybe some were just jealous, or spiteful (shame chill pills aren't prescribed until after puberty), but some took it too a more personal level, saying he wasn't 'thug' enough, or not 'black' enough. Being too young to properly process it, and to fearful of the consequences of taking either path, be it separation from his peers or the scorn of his father, his grades, and friends, fluctuated, Virgil always trying to balance both sides, yet never managing to quite satisfy either. The more he hung with bad crowds, the more his grades slipped, and the more he flaked on his friends to study, the less he'd have to come back to.

In middle school, the bullying hit a rise, but Virgil was rescued by an upperclassman, Larry Wade. While he was one of the most infamous juvenile delinquents in his side of the city, Larry took a liking to Virgil, offering him an answer to his plight: protection. Virgil could join his gang, giving him shielding from those who would harass him, while also having comrades regardless of how often he could hang. The catch? Larry would call in a favor every so often: sometimes it would be help with homework, other times Virgil would be the one to run to the store to pick up some food. All in all, not a bad arrangement!

By the time Virgil was in high school, his sister was in college, juggling a part time job while trying to get into medical school, Virgil was forced to move to the other side of the city, in hopes of making things even just a little easier for her. Virgil saw Larry and the gang less often, but they still saw each other: things didn't change much, until gang violence started to get higher. Virgil, a bit further away from trouble, was able to keep his head down and avoid most of it, things going pretty well as he gained new friends in the more relaxed high school of a better neighborhood.

One year ago, however, Larry found Virgil and called in a favor, one less desirable than any of the last. Virgil had thought he was going to hang, but after learning he was being pushed into joining in on a gang fight and given a firearm, his opinion of his arrangement with Larry shifted drastically. But when Virgil protested, Larry assailed him with guilt. This was big: bigger than any of the scuffles Larry got in, and if they failed, he'd no longer have the influence to keep Virgil out of trouble. One night of pain for a school life of peace was all Larry was asking for. And so, though his feet trudged along with the weight of hesitance and anxiety, Virgil followed into the quiet storage yard in the city's worst district.

Before the fighting broke out, his father's voice raging in his head, Virgil got cold feet as tensions mounted, and ended up fleeing mere minutes before it began, Larry's wrath at being ditched by Virgil following his steps. Disposing of the gun, Virgil prayed he could escape without incident as the fight broke out, hoping he could slip through in the confusion, but the police arrived. And worse yet, in the panic, a mysterious eruption occurred, gas of a different shade mixing with the tear gas expended to halt the gang bangers, marking the Big Bang. As the mutagen engulfed the gang bangers, affecting their very makeup, those closest to the initial outbreak were affected the quickest. The volatile transmutations resulted in roughly 90% of those afflicted dying, and it's a miracle that the number was that low. Of those remaining, while the incubation period would vary from minutes, to hours, to days, they would survive, though most of them with horrid disfigurements, often somehow crippled: bones too heavy to lift, skin too ridged to move, or body imbalanced by strange growths. Perhaps about 1% were lucky enough to be gifted, and Virgil was among them, passing out in a ditch, escaping notice in all the chaos.

By dawn, he continued to remain hidden, but not by his own will. Virgil awoke amid a bed of metal shavings stuck in his clothes, nails jabbed into his hair, and a blanket of garbage can lids and the metal refuse within. Digging himself free, he made the walk of shame home; tired, bruised, reeking, and strangely bewitching for the metallic friends and family of Dakota City.

While the scolding he revived from his father was legendary, Virgil was in no position to despair over his grounding, as he quickly discovered his powers, and the fact that he was not alone. Shamefully, most of the other Bang Babies who made off with a true gift, squandered it, which was no surprise considering most of them were gang bangers. In a rare position to do something about it, Virgil donned the mask and became the hero Static.

While his start was rough as he tried to find a footing under his grounding, he eventually soared, though he never quite nailed balancing his hero life and his regular one (does anyone?). While he worked independently for a good while, as of a few weeks ago, he got a message from a certain Bat of Gotham. Virgil never really got around to joining Young Justice, mostly due to a nagging feeling that it was outside of his capabilities (more schedule wise than skill wise, though it's not Virgil checked to see if they have a landline in the phone book or a mail in questionnaire), but now was as good a time as any. And who could turn down the goddamn Batman?

Name: Xi Xiu (习秀)
Alias: Gunrat, Bluebird
Age: 23
Team:
Free Agent
Powers:
Superhuman reflexes, free-floating individually focusing eyes, pain resistance, and the ability to dislocate any body part at will.

Weaknesses:
Bullets, knives, drowning, fire, explosions

Personality:
A violent chain-smoker, easily unhinged, with very little regard for individual human life. She's a strong believer in "the ends justify the means", and wouldn't hesitate to kill one person herself if it meant saving five. She holds deep resentment for sentimental heroes, and those who attach themselves to trivial things. If they aren't using the most direct solution to a problem, no matter how inconsiderate, they're wasting time. Nonetheless, she holds heroes like Batman and Raven in the highest regard, simply on account of their abilities and accomplishments. Also, while efficiency is her ideal, her own mental trauma does make her prone to emotional outbursts, if provoked.

Appearance:
Xiu is Chinese-American, 5'4", with a round, flat face, sickly pale skin, wide eyes, thin eyebrows, and a large forehead. Her head is shaved down the middle, with amber-died ponytails on either side. Her build is slim, but also very fit. She wears steel-toed boots, work jeans, and a thick leather jacket. Hidden within her jacket are four holsters (two on her chest, and two at the hip), carrying various members of her pistol collection. Strapped to her thigh is a combat knife, and rattling in her jacket pocket is a switch-blade. She keeps a red kerchief tied around her head, and wears oversized aviator glasses during the day.

During times of emergency, or when acting in a more public role, she wears a blue and black, masked superhero uniform, with a metallic collar and chestplate. A parting gift from Bluebird. On formal occasions, she wears a plain green dress, with a black sash around the waist.

Brief Bio:
Xiu was born the daughter of two Taiwanese political activists, who made it their goal in life to delegitimize the Chinese government, and incite civil war. When pro-Taiwan protests began breaking out around China in the early 2000's, her parents were at the very front of the movement. Fearing that this civil unrest could spread, the government used military force to break up the protests, sending citizens fleeing to their homes. That night, police operatives broke into the homes of those involved in inciting the protests, including Xiu's parents. They were imprisoned, interrogated, and eventually killed, leaving her as a child of the state. Needless to say, no media sources were allowed to cover this, and the world went on completely unaware.
From early childhood, Xiu was raised by various agents of the Chinese Ministry of State Security. Their goal was to train an assassin to infiltrate the governments of Taiwan and Japan, giving China direct leverage over the life and death of any neighbouring state officials who might stand in the country's way. Training included various mental and physical experiments, in an attempt to make her more agile and durable than a normal human. Chemical and surgical treatments overclocked her brain, reinforced her muscle fibers, and replaced her joints, boosting her agility, intelligence, and flexibility beyond normal human means, but left her nervous system fried and numbed, and her personality a neurotic mess. In spite of these setbacks, her resourcefulness surpassed their expectations. As a teen, she was able to hack into the ministry's computer network, and review all of the ministry's data, including her own file. Learning of her parent's cause in full detail, and how expendable she was to the state that killed them, she decided that she owed nothing to the government that, up to that point, she'd viewed as her only parent. Distraught, she became uncooperative to her handlers and teachers. Before too long, it was decided that she was a lost cause, and was scheduled for a quick execution. Learning of this, she subdued her guards, and sneaked out of the facility.
She made it to Shanghai, where she survived for a year by robbing street vendors, before sneaking onto a freighter on its way to America. Into her late teens and early adulthood, she saw the heroic deeds of the Justice League, and saw a new, constructive purpose for herself, beyond mere survival. She viewed her own life as having been stolen from her, and wanted to ensure that others wouldn't suffer the same loss of life, whether metaphorical or literal. She eventually made a name for herself, apprehending kidnappers and robbers (keeping whatever money they had on them for herself, of course). Eventually, after thwarting a terrorist plot in New York, she drew the attention of the Justice League.
Although physically skilled, the league determined that she was far too unstable, and certainly didn't fit the image of "hero" they were trying to project to the world. They rejected her request to join their ranks, and advised her to leave heroics to heroes. Since then, she continued to work alone, walking a fine line of fighting crime without stepping on the League's toes. Eventually, she set up shop in Gotham, where she encountered another rejected hero known as Bluebird. Both fans of Batman's results, although perhaps unsatisfied with his gun-less tactics, the two worked well together, and shut down several drug-rings in the city.
Unfortunately, Bluebird's continued successes put her brother, her only living relative in the area, in a great deal of danger. Gotham crime syndicates began targeting him, as a proxy for getting to Bluebird. When push came to shove, family came first, and Bluebird stepped down from heroism, leaving her alias to Xiu. Xiu, who up til then had fought without a mask or uniform, used this identity for her larger operations and conflicts, where she might be caught and identified by the media. This false identification had the bonus impact of making Xiu's enemies look for an opponent who wasn't there. Harper Row, the original Bluebird, had long since left the city, leaving a ruthless superhero with no alter-ego to terrorize. Even the Justice League remains unaware of Bluebird's new wearer, giving Xiu a lot of leeway with her actions. Of course Batman, the one hero who knew Bluebird enough to notice a change, has yet to address the change.
Now, with the rise of Brainiac, and the fall of Metropolis, Xiu intends to help the remaining heroes whether they like it or not. She'll hunt down Brainiac's drones, thinning the herd, and wait for the League to take action. She has her mind set on Justice League membership, and intends to prove herself to them, whatever it takes. Of course, she has more urgent reasons to fight Brainiac, including protecting her own friends, who help keep her supplied while she's on this quest.

Weaknesses:
Naivety – Starfire is very innocent and naïve about humans and their cultures. This can lead her to misinterpret her comrades, enemies and strangers alike and they have every opportunity to mislead and betray her.
Emotional – She is considered a very emotional girl and thus a basis of her powers. If she feels upset or depressed, she cannot use her powers.
Allergy to metallic chromium - giving her flu-like symptoms and she produces explosive starbolts through her nose and mouth when sneezing.

Bio:

Starfire is a bright and passionate girl with a lot of naivete and innocence when it comes to human culture but on her homeworld she has to be tough and ruthless like her peers or be branded as 'weak'. She would just prefer to be nice. She grew up with her older sister's shadow overlooking her since day one. Blackfire/Komand'r always looked down upon her little sister. Blackfire was always the better fighter and bested Starfire every time, but Starfire out did her elder sister in her beauty. As they grew of age, Blackfire grew more jealous of her sister's red fiery long locks and emerald eyes. One day she sold her sister to the Gordanians as their war trophy. And Blackfire assumed sole ruler-ship of Tamaran, unquestioned without her sister to challenge her right to the throne. The Gordanians then used Starfire as their gladiator - throwing her into battle arenas with the strongest species. And Starfire remained unbeaten thanks to her green starbolts, energy ray eyes and super human strength and flight.

It was on the way to their planet that the Gordanians had taken Starfire prisoner on board their vessel. When they neared the planet Earth some time later the Gordanians felt Starfire's righteous fury when she broke free and escaped to the green and blue planet. There she met a team of young heroes who helped to fend off her captors and ultimately free her from her life of captivity. Since not one Tamaranean had come to her aid or even seemed to be bothered by her absence, she decided to stay on Earth with her newly formed friends. They seemed 'nice'. A concept she was not used to in her culture. It was a refreshing change to be among people who cared for her well-being and defended her. And although she is very beautiful, there are some people in the galaxy that refer to Tamaraneans as 'Troq', which is a racist insult that means “you are nothing”.

Hero Archetype: Original
Name: Patrick Shay
Alias: Revenant
Age: 26
Team: Free Agent
Powers: On his own, Shay is just a human, no different than any other. The demon sharing his body on the other hand, does have power. Any powers Shay appears to have or use is done so only because the demon, Alastor, consents it. If Alastor doesn't feel like being helpful or wants to "teach" Shay a lesson, then none of his powers will work. On the contrary, should complete control be surrendered to him, then Alastor is able to wield the full extent of his powers through Shay. Also noteworthy, is that should Shay be killed, then Alastor dies with him, so it's usually in the demon's best interest to keep Shay alive even if he doesn't always agree with his host's decisions.

Alastor, an Assassin Demon, possesses a chameleon power that allows him to bend light around him and blend into his environments like an actual chameleon. He can also completely stop his breathing and even heartbeats to maintain total silence, though this can only be done for moments at a time. Alastor possesses a level of strength that is average for his kind, that is to say he could lift a car or punch a hole through a brick wall. He can tap into a healing factor to rapidly recover from grisly wounds. As he has lived for quite a long time, Alastor has had several decades, perhaps even centuries, to learn and master a wide variety of human weaponry and fighting skills. Powers beyond these all stem from the use of Alastor's rather unique sword, affectionately called the Soul Reaver.

Equipment: Alastor's sword, the Soul Reaver, is a powerful weapon forged in the flames in Hell. Weapons forged in Hellfire are generally sharper than any human-made blade, and are nigh unbreakable except by weapons forged in Heaven. Though in the case of Heavenly weapons, it's more likely that the swords would shatter each other, as their powers tend to cancel one another out. What makes the Soul Reaver special, however, is that it's been infused with the silver from a succubus' soul-stealing ring. As such, the blade will actually devour the souls of those it kills and their power, to a certain extent, is added to the wielder. Alastor has already used the blade to thwart assassination attempts and with it can attack with deadly fire-elemental strikes normally used by fire demons known as Efreet. Below are more specific examples of the blade's powers:
  • Wings of the Damned: A pair of wings, made completely of fire that sprout from the back. They give the power of flight, and can also be wrapped around the body to form a fiery, protective shield against some attacks.
  • Hell Razor: This powerful gout of flame is sent through the tip of the sword, where it then races along the ground at blazing speed, appearing like a razor wave along its path, which is how it earned its name. The flames can also be kept on the blade and augment future slashes and thrusts with fiery power.
  • Blood of the Accursed: Non-lethal wounds inflicted by the Soul Reaver could be considered cursed in some ways. For one thing, recovery from them is often abnormally slow and, depending on the situation, using a healing power to speed it along will actually have the opposite effect and slow it even further, perhaps even worsening the injuries as a result.

Weaknesses: The the combination of Alastor and the Soul Reaver seems insurmountable, but that couldn't be further from the truth. His strength, while considerable from a human perspective, is still on the lower end of the overall power scale when compared to the likes of Superman, Captain Marvel, and the like. His healing factor, though advantageous, does not prevent injury and any wound suffered will still be every bit as painful as it would naturally be until healed, and even then there could still be lingering soreness in the case of particularly serious injuries. It's no secret that the Soul Reaver is the source of the majority of Alastor's power, so separating the sword from its master is a prime method of rendering him weaker than he otherwise would be. While he isn't completely vulnerable to divine power, Alastor still has an aversion to it and his healing factor tends to be a bit slower when healing wounds caused by such. As for Shay, he is completely human, so if one were to find a way to completely exorcise Alastor from his body he would be left powerless and more or less useless.

Personality: Shay was once a perfectly normal human being. He looked out for number one, but would still help his fellow man if able to, like any decent human being would do. Ever since meeting Alastor, though, Shay has become much more cynical and embittered. That's not to say he doesn't help when needed, because he will still save a life given the opportunity. He's just become a bit more jaded about it. In his defense, though, being possessed by a demon and ending up on Hell's radar is a fairly understandable justification for his personality change.

And then there's Alastor. Being a demon, Alastor is obviously no saint. On the contrary, he can be quite the cold-hearted bastard. He'd sooner let someone be murdered or die in a fire than risk drawing attention to himself, and often berates Shay's heroics as a "waste of time". Though if one were to force his hand, they'd best be prepared, Alastor's fury knows no mercy, or restraint for that matter. If angered enough he will burn a whole city block to the ground just to kill whoever pissed him off. "There's no kill like overkill", indeed.

Appearance: Shay is of average height, around 5' 10''. He weighs 175 pounds and possesses a slightly-above average build. He has somewhat sharp facial features, though they're difficult to see due to the short, but somewhat scruffy facial hair on his face. His hair is short, usually combed forward with a slight part and is a sandy, reddish brown color. His clothes consist primarily of a leather jacket, blue jeans, black cowboy boots, and biker gloves. Not particularly imaginative, but Shay doesn't really bother with the whole costume thing as of yet. Under his clothes, Shay's back, arms, and shoulders are covered in black markings that almost appear to be burned in like some kind of demonic branding.

Brief Bio: Alastor served hell as an Assassin for many long centuries. In Hell, every demon, every soul, everything, has its place. Every so often there may be an occasional attempt at rebellion, but they've always been put down, sometimes by Alastor himself. That all changed one fateful day when Alastor's target happened to be a Succubus. Upon killing her, he discovered a silvery ring on her finger and realized that these rings were how Succubi could devour souls and gain power. The seed of greed was planted, and Alastor pocketed the ring for himself. He secretly melted the ring down and fused it with his sword. Ever since, Alastor's sword began devouring the souls of its victims to add to its power, and thus Alastor named it the Soul Reaver. Alastor went rogue after that, using the Soul Reaver to slay his fellow demons and make himself stronger. He proved a difficult target, as his prior experience as an Assassin allowed him to predict his enemies' tactics and with each failed assassination attempt he only became stronger.

This went on until Alastor learned that his actions had actually gotten the attention of Neron, a powerful upper level demon often regarded as a King of Hell. No match for Neron, even with his new levels of power, Alastor fled from Hell and went into hiding on Earth, taking the Soul Reaver with him. However, he knew that demons could not physically exist on Earth for extended periods of time, which was why they often had to possess humans. Even then, this was almost always temporary since humans had a tendency to resist possession. But Alastor was nothing if not smart. If he could convince a human to take him willingly, then he could stay in hiding on Earth indefinitely.

Patrick Shay was born in Boston to Irish immigrants. "The first Shay to be born in America," his parents would always say about him. Shay had a pretty good childhood, all things considered. His father Robert owned a local pub and for a time Shay worked there as a cook and bartender. He was content with himself, ready and willing to inherit the bar when the time came. But these stories rarely end happily. Shay was driving home one night when a drunk driver smashed into his car. The other driver was either dead or passed out drunk, and Shay lay halfway out of his car mortally wounded. Shay fought to stay conscious and was paid off when he heard a voice, "I can save you... if you let me in."

Shay, unsure of what those words meant or what it was he was actually agreeing to, said yes out of desperation. He blacked out soon after, and woke up several hours later in the hospital with his parents both sitting at his bedside. Shay later learned that, against all odds, he managed to forcibly free himself from his car and dial 911. But Shay only remembered losing consciousness, and that's when a familiar voice spoke up in his mind, "That's because you did lose consciousness. Saving yourself and miraculously surviving what should have been fatal wounds? That was my doing." It was only now that Alastor fully explained things to Shay. The demon saved his life and promised to continue doing so if needed should Shay simply allow him to remain inside.

"Do I have a choice?" thought Shay, the demon hearing those thoughts.

"Of course. Though I should warn you, having me in you could put you on the radar of some rather powerful and dangerous enemies. If they decide it's worthwhile to target you to get at me then you'll most certainly want to have me around to fend them off."

That all happened about two years ago. Shay sort of became a drifter since then. Roaming from town to town, keeping to himself but helping people in trouble occasionally, much to Alastor's chagrin. Shay and Alastor have had to fight an occasional demon from time to time, and once they do it prompts Shay to get on the move again. Neither Shay nor his newfound demonic companion have any desire to be caught by Neron's lackeys, or worse, Neron himself.
