Standing at a not even surprising 1.64 meters and a rather slim and flimsy frame, it is Amatsurahashi Kanata.

Like her brother, she has fiery red hair and blue eyes, but neither of them are as well cared for as his. In fact, her brother likes to point out the split ends her hair might have.

Her hair is long and usually kept in a pair of twintails that reach her waist. Because men like something to hold on to

【Personality】
Unlike her brother who has 'shit for brains', Kanata is a lot more normal than her egocentric and metrosexual brother, if a lot more tomboyish than your regular kunoichi. But let's be honest here, what screams femininity more than a girl in a tight suit jumping around and throwing sharp things at others? Her brother.

Foul-mouthed by nature, full of hormones thanks to her age and Kanata's short fuse make her an adorable pack of emotions, insults, bad words and sarcasm all in one.

She's known for not holding anything back, and this has gotten her in a lot more of problems than she's ever wanted to have. Her tongue moves faster than her brain can catch up, hurling insults at people she shouldn't piss off. She depends a lot on her brother Mikoto to get her out of such situations. Sounds dangerous.

An idiot by birth not by choice, Kanata has found herself in more than one tight spot both in school and in the streets. She often comments on how life wouldn't be as exciting if she didn't get in as much problems as she does, though.

Add to all of this the fact that she has several complexes about her body and life and it just makes her the perfect adolescent with attitude problems. She just needs to run away and the pack should be complete.

Overall, Kanata is a short-tempered idiot with a big mouth AND some ability as a ninja. At least she knows how to fight AND when she should just run for it instead of fighting.

【History】
Unlike her brother, Kanata was largely ignored in her school years, all the way from elementary school it was just a big whole of... nothing. Have you ever seen your graduation photo and noticed a guy that is there but you never actually saw? If not, that's what several people thought after getting their graduation photo and finally noticing Kanata.

Everyone expected big things from Amatsurahashi this name just keeps popping up and its starting to freak me out Mikoto's sister, only to be let down by the extremely pragmatic and sarcastic Kanata.

Her existence mostly went unnoticed until she finally became a Chuunin. Pairing up with her brother and going out in missions made them a deadly combo.

Finally, people started noticing Kanata and she wasn't sure of whether this was a good or bad thing. Well, she never really did have a lack of friends, she just was in that small group that mostly went unnoticed by others.

Later she determined that it was bad. Real bad. They all came to her with words like 'Oh, did Mikoto have a sister? Never knew.' or 'Wow, to think you could actually do something!'. What came after those comments was most definitely not pretty.

Having gained a bad reputation this time around, people started to actually avoid her. Well, her fame was short lived, and it was good that it was. ... so tragic?

Kanata's father died before she was born, so she only has her older brother and mother to rely on.

While she is fond of and loves the two of them, she does find them, Mikoto specially, annoying.

【Fighting style】
Never to shine herself but to give others the opportunity to shine, Kanata's fighting style is a purely supportive one. She can indeed defend herself in hand to hand combat, yes, but her true talent comes out when she is fighting alongside someone else.

Her specialty are ninjutsu and genjutsu used to support a more aggressive battle style like her brother's. She intends to stall, hinder and trip her opponents at every step they give. Even if they are about to hit their mark, she'll make sure that what they hit is nothing more but an illusion she's made. Cunning and brains, not muscles and... more muscles, are what make her a formidable fighter.

She uses water release, but unlike her brother, she uses mist and barriers to hinder her opponents.

Her taijutsu is the weakest part of her fighting style as a whole. She can easily be overpowered by any opponent with more experience in hand to hand combat or otherwise.

Her taijutsu is focused on the use of her legs, since her arms are more like sticks. Her legs, though, do pack quite a punch for someone her height. She uses a combination of muay thai and tae kwon do to keep opponents at bay while she uses her hands to prepare her next jutsu. Kanata also tends to use submission holds against opponents bigger than her, in order to keep them from moving and to give herself more time to cast her next jutsu. So her taijutsu is shit, but her kicks aren't? Slightly contradictory, probably just me on this one.

Thanks to her being bad at taijutsu, she carries even more kunais than the average shinobi.

Deep but not true. A building with a requirement to have only 5 pillars, but that has 7, can survive a pillar crumbling.

Yudai is a tall and somewhat imposing young man, standing at 5'8" | 1,78m. His physique appears to be lean, but on closer inspection one could notice that he's in fact fit, with subtle musculature definition everywhere on his body. His hair is a dark brown color and often unkempt, as if he didn't care at all about the way it looks - this is slightly contradicting to the fact that his ears are pierced, which possibly proves that the boy does cares about his appearance. His pale blue eyes constantly flicker from point to point, rarely focusing on something for too long - some note that he always looks distant, as if not paying any attention to his surroudings. The Kanji on his clothes are 影山 (Kageyama, his family name).

【Personality】
Every aspect of Yudai, at least externally and from his appearance itself, seems distant. His gaze is a constant reminder of this, given the way it roams the whole time, briefly pausing on his surroundings before he takes interest in something else again. Even when Yudai is directly talking to someone, he avoids eye-contact entirely and if someone even tries to stare at him or look directly at his eyes for too long, he'll become rapidly nervous and anxious and might even avoid the person in question for a while.

Otherwise, Yudai is relaxed, but extremely observant. His mind is constantly noticing what is actually happening around him and thus, while others might see him as distracted and distant, he's the opposite. He finds his own life rather boring the majority of time which prompts him to search for enthusiasm on other things out on the world. He's also easily interested in hearing stories from others, or even simply listening others talk about their own life.

He has his own ambitions of becoming a highly respected political figure or leader, one day. But on the way the world is currently, he shoved such ambitions away and for now, he's only focused on strengthening himself.

【History】
Yudai's birth came from the love between Reiko and Kohaku - sadly, however, Reiko died due to complications at his birth. While the expected outcome was his father to put the blame on and give Yudai the worst life ever, in order for this story to follow the traditional hero backstory guide, the opposite happened.

Kohaku Kageyama was a hard-working man. He used to be a powerful shinobi many years ago, but lost his left eye and his right hand was completely destroyed in the same battle, thus leaving him unapt for battle for the rest of life. The loss of his wife could've disgraced his life forever, but instead, he found new hope on his newborn child, Yudai - the name 'Yudai' itself, was to show the man's hope of a hero, not for the nation, not for the world, but a hero that would save Kohaku himself, from utter depression.

Which Yudai indeed did. As any other child, he was very, very curious about everything and from the day he began learning his first words, he'd frequently ask his father about everything. Even about the eyepatch the man wore on his left eye, about the bandages around the man's right hand - and when the man began explaining about shinobi, about the wars.. Well, Yudai only became more interested in it altogether.

As he matured, reaching the age of eleven, Yudai slowly began developing a strange desire to be someone who had a high position. Power. Cue evil laugh. MUAHAHA! He wanted to be esteemed in a way that people would admire and respect because of his achievements in life. Of course, it was too soon to think about that, and Yudai was a mere child with an ambition bigger than himself. For now, the boy focused on studying... and training. He had taken an immense interest in shinobi. In fact, he spent more time reading about chakra, taijutsu and ninjutsu than he spent studying the school's subjects, which was the reason he almost failed the year.

His father aided him frequently, he gave his son clear training routines and made him follow them strictly. For some reason, he felt immense pride in his son following the same steps as him, while the same time, feared that he could end suffering the consequences of a war - like the man himself did. But, the thoughts that peace had finally settled in eased that fear.

When Yudai graduated, at the age of 14, he knew exactly that his dream of becoming someone with high power was indeed his true ambition. You see, he received quite the praise for being a dedicated student - even if he almost failed in the past year, he truly dedicated himself to studying this one and got amazing grades, impressing his teachers and father. When they openly talked about him and his dedication, his heart pouded inside his chest with what he could only understand as recognition. Cool.

Time eventually passed, Yudai grew into a fine - and very attractive - young man. He noticed that women generally were starting to take interest in him, perhaps it was the pale blue eyes, but honestly, he didn't care all that much. Yudai did had quite a few cases with one or another girl here and there, but it never blossomed into a true relationship, he was that type of guy. In fact, the older Yudai got, the more he found his life... boring. sexy boy is bored with women, looks for greater things in life and ultimately finds it in the shape of a notebook that belongs to a girl, he falls in love but she doesn't love him because he's a jerk, the end

It wasn't no one's fault, truly. It was just that his ambition - it was something that seemed far away from his reach, impossible - it was as if he could fight his whole life for it and yet, he'd never taste it.

Finally, Yudai finished highschool. It was the same year that he also offically graduated to a chunin rank shinobi - and the year he finally took interest in his own life, even if only just a little. It all started with one group... the Red Sages. How did he precisely end up with them then if I may ask?

Kageyama is an old and traditional family. The majority of it's members were shinobi, with exceptions. They are divided, with a minor part living in Iwagakure and a larger part living in Konohagakure. In Konohagakure, Kageyama were known for running a restaurant which goes by the name of Yama-Yama. Ichiraku descendants stop by daily to harass them and throw wet noodles at their windows

【Fighting style】
Yudai is balanced between taijutsu and ninjutsu, rarely resorting to weapons or ranged weapons. He's very intelligent and tactical in his decisions, as if he had read everything there was to read regarding shinobi (which he probably did in his early life). See, while he's quite strong in hand-to-hand combat, Yudai's first choice is to always analyze his opponent. He appears to be MUCH more experienced and prepared than he truly is due to the manner he keeps himself extremely calm, in any situation. To him, a battle is nothing too different from his daily struggle with life itself.

Normally, his Doton ninjutsu is used as a defensive manner, instead of offensively. Thus, he'll always avoid ranged assaults with it. Sometimes, he'll use it offensively as nintaijutsu, but only if he finds a true opening to do so.

All good, can you maybe tell me some about the things he's not that good in? As I can read he's rather tactical and also strong (when it comes to taijutsu and ninjutsu) so what about what he's not good at?

Maybe you should make this into a custom adapted technique that is the same, except it is also possible to create small earth slides with this and cave in the ground beneath a battlefield, it might be more useful. Cause I don't know how much caves we'll be visiting.

Short - hand to hand range.
Description:
This powerful technique developed by Yudai himself allows him to concentrate his doton chakra onto his hands and arms, coating them with a solid earthly surface. While most won't notice it's potential, whenever Yudai gets close range to someone, he can erupt solid earth spikes from his hands at will, thus, increasing the potential damage done by his punches as well as the range he can attack someone. By erupting many spikes at once, he can also potentially block minor attacks, but this is not a very resistant technique (it'd mostly block shuriken and kunai with ease). This technique's main weakness is the fact that once it's used one time, the foe - unless it's dumb as a brick - will know how to avoid it after. It also does not last too long, only lasting for about fourty minutes before Yudai needs to reapply the chakra - and unfortunately, it takes it's toll on his chakra pool, meaning that he can't keep reapplying it.

I don't think this technique would be a one time use - then reapply kind of jutsu. Because attaching stuff to your body requires constant chakra usage to maintain it - similar to how walking on water will require constant chakra appliance to maintain your feet above/on and not in the water.

Chakra usage could be small-medium level (it's A rank, so probably somewhere in between). But it's continuous, so he could not use it for too long. Then again, 5 seconds is +- 2 posts in the Naruto universe. 2 minutes or so would be more than enough for a technique like this.

When he uses the spike, chakra usage would surge I think, meaning he can't infinite spike at people.

In trade off for that you should make the armor a bit stronger - if I can destroy it with anything stronger than a kunai or shuriken thats not very strong for an A rank. I think it should be able to withstand fire jutsu of similar levels (so A rank jutsu would definetely be noticeable if he's encased in the armor, but he'd not take burn damage from it, just feel the heat while inside unless it's sustained or so, meaning he'd get boiled alive kekekeke) and wind and earth will be very ineffective against this jutsu. Water would be somewhat effective and electrical nintaijutsu would be highly effective. Normal electrical jutsu, probably not that much, because you're technically earthing your body meaning the electricity passes through you but doesn't deal damage because it goes into the earth.

That said, I don't really mind if you wanna say; fuck you Partisan. It's your jutsu, but this is just something that caught my eye. If you're fine with it as it is, feel free to place it in the character bin and add some details about how he joined the Red Sages (cause that's not explain.)

@Nero can you give a range on the earthquake? Also I doubt it'd be strong enough to destroy a village at a B rank technique - that's like S-rank shit. If you can give it a range then I accept it and you can place it in the character sheet area.
